So yesterday I watched all the historical scenes of Crowley and Aziraphale in chronological order and then feverishly came up with a new interpretation of the "you go too fast for me Crowley scene" so here it is:
Ok so now we know from season 2 that the Dirty Donkey pub where Crowley holds his heist-planning meeting is right across the street from Aziraphale's bookshop. This means that when Aziraphale goes to meet Crowley in his car he literally just walks across the street, but it also means that when Crowley offers to drive Aziraphale somewhere he isn't offering to take him home. The previous implication of that interaction was that Crowley was going to drive Aziraphale back to his bookshop, but Crowley knows that the bookshop is only a 30 second walk away so that's obviously not the case. In fact, Crowley doesn't actually ask Aziraphale if he wants to be driven home, what he actually says is "can I drop you anywhere?" and then "I'll give you a lift, anywhere you want to go".
So now we know that Crowley isn't trying to drive Aziraphale home, the conclusion we have to draw is that he's asking him if he wants to go somewhere else with Crowley. This is kind of a covert way of wording things, but Crowley is still testing the waters at this point in their relationship. He pulled this same tactic in 1941 when he said he would give Aziraphale a "lift home" and then ended up taking him somewhere else which led to them spending the entire evening together. "I'll give you a lift" has essentially become code for "let's hang out". This also explains why Crowley looks genuinely disappointed and upset when Aziraphale turns down his offer (and why Aziraphale acts apologetic about it).
But, considering that we know Aziraphale has fallen for Crowley by now AND that they went out together in 1941, why the "you go too fast for me Crowley" line? My explanation is this: in 1941, Crowley nearly got in big trouble with Hell simply for having been seen with Aziraphale, and not only did he not seem that bothered by it but he is now asking Aziraphale if he wants to go out again even though they've both been directly confronted with the risk this poses for him. I think it scares Aziraphale that Crowley is willing to risk so much just to spend time with him - he's not ready to confront the truth of what that means yet, and he's also not yet at the point where he'd be willing to take the same risk with Heaven. As usual, Crowley is a step ahead of him in terms of his commitment to their relationship, hence "you go too fast for me". Keep in mind that Aziraphale was very caught up in the moment in 1941 and has had a lot of time to reflect since then about the potential consequences of a relationship with Crowley, and he's just not ready yet even if he definitely wants it.
As a side note, I think it makes a lot of sense that this is the point when Aziraphale agrees to give Crowley the holy water (and why Crowley is more determinedly seeking it in the first place), because now both he and Crowley more fully understand the the danger Crowley will be in if Hell finds out what the two of them have been up to.

I keep coming back to this thought I've been having. As personifications, how much of a nations self is truly their own. Are they able to have their own individually developed likes, dislikes, or opinions in the way mortal human can. How much of a role do experiences play in how nation conduct themselves. At the same time, how much of their true self is simply a projection of the mortal humans they represent. Do nations with populations in the billions and millions have all of those people in their heads 24/7. At the end of the day are they simply all of their people mushed together into a personification.
Do they even know where the line in the sand is? do they know where their own thoughts and feelings end and where the influence of their people start. Is it just a blur? do they just not think about it unless they have to? to deal with their own immortally and the fact their births are not as cut an dry as human births, do they just pretend that certain things about themselves are "their own choices" versus being directed connected to their people.
Or even, do nations represent people? or do they represent an idea? Is it a mix of both? if they represent their people, dose that mean that as time goes on or if you looked at them in history, is each nation distinctively different as the humans they represent are born, live, and then die.
How much do nations even understand of their own existence. Do their have their own folklore and legends that are passed down to each new baby nation that is "born"

The new leaks are just so interesting!!! I kinda like how he did their backstories, it makes sense for All for One to be the way he is... I don't believe he was just born evil, since we've seen that he is capable of some sort of love or care, example being his reaction to his brother's death.
I think the reason he seems so dark, and evil is because that's how you survived back then. I always thought the fall of society was when the two were teenagers, maybe even adults. But the idea that they were born into a society in shambles without parental love or guidance, makes sense why the bastard man was a feral child coveting the feeling of unconditional love, killing the glowing baby because he, from what I can gather, was the only truly accepted one by society while the rest were seen as monsters needing extermination. He had to fend for himself, he had to teach himself to read and speak normally, he never had a parent tell him no. And in a time like that, I'm sure people weren't keen on being kind and gentle towards each other, I believe at best they were ignored because they were children. But no one picked them up or treated them gently out of fear they may possess meta-abilities, it was almost a 'kill or be killed' mentality. He reacts like a normal child in a situation with no guidance at all.... He acts feral because that's how the adults around him have taught him to react. He's still not a good person for a multitude of reasons. But ugh, I am just so curious about how he became the person he is now, from a small feral child to a calculating, manipulative adult. He knows how to twist and turn people to his whims.
The spoilers also show a little bit of his possessiveness, he views things he loves as possessions.... Which isn't shocking.... I've heard a lot of people mention this debunking the DFO theory... First off, how? If you observe the details of the chapter, you can easily deduce that AFO cares for Yoichi. He kicks him, but I really think that's just a result of having no parental figure, if you think about it. Children often hit other children when they feel strong negative emotions, they start off with little to no emotional regulation or intelligence, because they're children. That's what good parents are for, we don't just adopt moral codes on our own. It's our parents and society in general that teaches what's appropriate and inappropriate. And we obviously know that AFO and Yoichi didn't have a parental figure, or at least a stable one (if they were picked up along the way after their mothers' death.) The only thing teaching these children, particularly AFO, how to act is what's going on in society. What the adults around them are doing, and we can obviously tell there's a lot of mistrust, judgement, and violence being exhibited. Baby AFO is bound to catch on and adapt to survive... Our natural instincts are to survive, which explain why baby AFO was sucking his mother's breast, which is very normal, considering its our natural instincts to survive. Some people are saying that he was born evil because of this... No, it's a newborn, a fucking newborn trying to survive. Which during those early ages, that's all we really think of is our pleasure complex and survival instinct. Mother's normally feed their children within the first hour of childbirth, that's what's recommended from the American Academy of Pediatrics, so instinctually it makes sense for the baby to try to find that nutrients on its own if it's not provided.

okay so ive been scrolling tumblr for fics since ao3s down and I have a guilty love for Irondad fics despite not really interacting with the marvel fandom at all. (Or any marvel media outside of the spiderman movies, and spiderman comics, cuz im a sucker for peter parker. Blame into the spiderverse.) Guys, what the FUCK is “anti-tony stark” and “pro-tony stark” ???? WHAT IS GOING ON HERE???? HELpppp me/ . Help. Dear god. The stupidest fucking discourse ive ever seen. Jesus.  Like marvel is literally built on being pro-military pro-police pro-big coperation propaganda. That’s just what it is and always will be founded upon. The comics themselves were straight up propaganda. The movies are more subtle but they cannot free themselves of that fact because the Comics Were, Literally, As I cannot stress enough, MADE AS AMERICAN PROPAGANDA!!!! Thats all to say: Tony Stark as a character is propaganda. No he would not reasonably ever fucking be a good person outside of fiction. However it is a movie and it’s meant for you to view him as a good person. It’s not wrong to fucking enjoy him, as long as you realize it’s propaganda. It’s ALSO not wrong to dislike him, as long as you realize it’s still fiction. Am I making sense here? Honestly, I’ve been taken aback at how WEIRD and toxic some of the posts i’ve seen are. “Shut up if your pro-tony I dont want to see irondad fics anymore” and “If I see another fic saying its pro-tony but then the fic criticizes him I’m gonna kill someone” . PLEASE Have some nuance to your thinking PLEASE Im begging you. Dear god.

if i had a nickel for every time i fell in love with a show about a young girl with reddish hair called anne whose main story was about coming to a new place and being adopted by a loving grandpa-aged farmer, and fitting in when first being seen as ugly/unusual, and whose first friend was a dark-haired girl who often dressed much fancier and who only had conflict when it was born out of love, and whose other best friend was someone who had been a rival but slowly been forgiven after saving the respective anne’s life, and both of these friends were the anne’s love interests, and who didn’t use a car for transportation but rather an animal, and who got into a lot of trouble & made many mistakes but eventually learned how to be less accident-prone but still fun-loving, and who loved nature… i’d have two nickels, which isn’t much but it’s weird that it happened twice

pro-AI in the sense of "they taught a bread scanning computer to recognize cancer cells" etc etc
against AI in the sense of "we stole artwork from hundreds to thousands of artists, didn't credit them and didn't financially compensate them"

the idea of public restrooms as "women's spaces" continues to confound me. you know who I hope is in a public bathroom when I go in?? no one. I would prefer no one else be in the bathroom. and if someone else is in the bathroom I am going to ignore them as much as possible. I did not go into the bathroom to connect with other women. I went into the bathroom to piss and/or shit. it's a toilet's space, not a women's space. shut the fuck up and let trans people piss and shit in peace. let's all continue to avoid eye contact with each other and any and all interaction in the toilet's space.

everything should cost one dollar, ten dollars, or one hundred dollars. a drinky drink is one dollar. a t shirt is ten dollars. rent is one hundred. i might be convinced to allow one thousand dollars for some very big purchases like a house. i get it, you're running a business. i'm not unreasonable.
