The biggest angst of shuggy is not death but the fact that even if they stayed together they would either parted anyway, or one would be extremely unhappy. They are too different to be together. Oil and water. They just weren’t meant to be. Buggy wouldn’t like be in shanks crew, because of the way they act and shanks wouldn’t be happy accommodating to buggy desires.

Mmmmm. I mean. It depends? I don't see it this way, tbh. Because staying together would've meant having communication skills (a thing they do not have, apparently, but let's say they do!). And those issues you mentioned would be easily fixed by talking things out.

If they had stayed together (Shanks telling Buggy the reason why he's not going for the One Piece right away) I think they could've worked. Maybe I am just in denial, who knows? I think Buggy would feel constantly inferior to him in their crew even if they shared the title, but! Being together in this situation would also mean having the responsibility to talk about it, even if Buggy doesn't want to do it. I think Shanks would notice he knows Buggy the best, after all. He would make him feel appreciated in some way. And besides, Buggy, before Shanks said he wasn't going for the One Piece, seemed inclined to follow him, so the possibility of them staying together wouldn't have been completely impossible.

And I think that Shanks wouldn't try to accommodate to Buggy in any way. Like-- I know we joke a lot about him being a complete simp and doing everything Buggy wants, but when push comes to shove, he fights Buggy if he doesn't agree with him on something. That's why they fought so much (I think people often forget Shanks is just as a stubborn little bitch as Buggy). And you might say that it could cause issues within their relationship and crew to fight that much without somebody like Rayleigh stopping them but... I think that's always a part of growing up? Having to make decisions for yourself and deciding what is the right thing to do on your own. And I think that, at the end of the day, if they had been together, they would've chosen common ground after a big fight instead of losing each other. After losing their family do you really think they're going to let go of each other so easily?

I think the reason why they fought and Buggy is so resentful is that there were a lot of feelings and miscommunication between them that they couldn't fix since they were grieving and too sensitive to react properly and coherently to the situation. And since it was never fixed, the relationship is still broken. But if they had managed to fix it at that point of their story I think they would've been able to be together.

What made you ship it? Now technically the show because they’re so canon that there’s no reality where you don’t ship Bob and Linda. I’ve disliked pleeenty of canon ships, but with them? Never even crossed my mind that it was a possibility. They ARE the blueprint. What made me realize the all-consuming power of boblin was you of course

What are your favorite things about the ship? Even if at first glance they seem like an “opposites attract” couple, that’s not their foundation. Bob and Linda have the same values of family, hard work, and togetherness. They don’t work because oh Linda wants to go on an adventure and Bob wants to stay in. They work because those things don’t matter as much to them as being together does. They’re each other’s biggest hype person even when they’re annoying other people. They’re the perfect ship, but they’re also still realistic. They met when they were older, they get tired and fall asleep on the couch, they compete against each other but still continue trust one another. In Stand by Gene, Linda points out Bob gets in his head and she gets in your face. It’s an example of them seeing and acknowledging each other’s flaws, but those “uglier” moments don’t dull the good ones. It makes them real and fun and the best sitcom couple ever actually

idk what is it about short haired goro but i just dislike it so much. like i understand the whole concept of cutting your hair as a metaphor for starting a new chapter in your life but i think that him growing out his hair would be just as impactful. he can finally let go of the perfect hairstyle he had to have during his detective prince days!!! as well as making himself look more like his mother (who i headcanon had long hair because she could not afford to go to a hairdresser)
