pale white horse + where is your rider is about limited life martyn from scott's pov
AKA, I go insane and assign lyrics to block game and probably stretch the meaning too far lmao
"down they fell like the tower as the land relinquished her ghost"? totally about how they spawned in and the boogeyman mechanic kicked into play.
"Heed the sirens, take shelter", "flee the fire that devours", "but the sight held me fixed"? the sirens are the countdown to boogeyman that both scott and martyn succumbed to on day 1.
"neither plague nor famine temper my courage" i mean, martyn and scott stood together in the face of everything. Scott was target #1 for like two sessions and yet only went down to martyn at his request. they did not falter at any point.
"a pale white horse with a crooked smile, and I knew it was my time" martyn's skin was pale from being red, but he was still a silly goofy guy through it. Scott probably didn't know martyn would kill him for the win, but time and limited life go hand in hand.
"a raging storm of a foreign war, a face i'd seen before" Martyn literally wore the banner of Dogwarts, a war fought 3 seasons ago. Scott would've seen the Hand fighting on the opposite side of the battlefield.
(other song under the cut because this is long and i dont want to clog the tag)
"Was it you 'mid the fire and the ember? Were you there to bedevil and beguile?" Scott died to lava and a traitor, having literally been tricked into removing his armor by Martyn.
"See, your face wasn't quite as I remember, but I know that wicked shape to your smile" similar to above, Scott is used to seeing Mean Gill, pirate martyn, but the banner and the bloodshed would have reminded him of the Hand. One can assume he was making a similar facial expression during battle.
"So bury me as it pleases you, lover, at sea, or deep within the catacomb" I feel like being buried at sea is self-explanatory for a dying Mean Gill
"But these bones never rested while living, so how can they stand to languish in repose?" Scott, having been the target of a hunt more than a few times, would not have gotten much in the way of downtime.
"He has thrown down the cavalry as gravel sinks and as the stone founders underneath the sundered sea of red and reed" Primarily focused on the later half here, the isle was decimated by the time Martyn killed Scott. Several people died in those waters- Scott killed pearl not long before. It was certainly red.
"The shadow of Hades is fading for he has cast down Leviathan, the tyrant, and the horse and rider" Martyn was a force this season. I believe he is tied for most kills. He was a force of nature, much like Leviathan. This one is a stretch lmao
"Where is your rider? Where is your rider?" Listen. Hear me out. This is Scott asking why Martyn snapped at the end. Martyn is an unguided hand, a explosion of fury, an untamed horse. His rider, who had in the past seasons been his ally both secret and not, was not present this go of things. Ren was not there. Scott was never going to be able to exact the loyalty Ren had.
"He will hold with all of his might the armies of night still as boulders laid to the side 'til we pass by" Ren was able to hold back Martyn. He could restrain him, guide him. Scott couldn't.
"He has hoisted out of the mire every child so lift your voice with timbrel and lyre" As Scott died, he would have heard Martyn yelling his speech about it being a death game. Toward the end, his voice had gotten quite loud.
"We will abide, we will abide, we will abide" At the end, Scott accepted what Martyn did. He was glad his Mean Gill won. He will abide.
look i know im insane ok but this has been on my mind literally since the final episode dropped i needed to get this out to the public

Been thinking about the soulmate count down AUs, and I can't stop thinking about how it would be corrupted and exploited by the powers that be. Also trying to imagine how the time line of people finding their soulmates would change over time.
Okay so like getting past the fact that humans came up with the concept of numbers, time, and just rolling with this is a universe where all humans are born with a count down indicating the exact time when they will meet their soulmate, and that this may have allowed people know about the number zero before 3BCE, and gives everyone a standardized concept of time through all of humanity. Ignoring all of that, think about the ramifications.
Like in the start of society, I'm talking like the start of river valley civilizations, you'll likely meet your soulmate in your village. If the count down indicates the time you will meet them, then in all likelihood your soulmate is someone you meet where you grew up, because unless you were a traveler or a trader, you're probably not going very far, so you would probably meet your soulmate at a young age.
But say you are born with a count down that says you wont meet your soulmate until you're twenty or thirty or forty? Would you be volunteered to explore? Would you be made to do the more dangerous tasks, because it is guarantied that you will live that long?
Going off of that lets skip ahead say to the Roman Empire, would they record infants count downs? Would say a child born with a count down over the age of sixteen be volunteered to the army? If your count down already passed would you be excluded from certain tasks?
Would there be a religious reformation? What would be the take from organized religion? Would it be considered blasphemous or morally abhorrent to condemn someone with a long count down to backbreaking dangerous work that could leave them permanently disabled?
Would careful census's of the populations be taken? Would governments try to predict wars or famines with these countdowns?
Like before in the 1880s would there have been a governments census, leaving them all scratching their heads as to why millions of men would meet their soulmates before they were twenty-five.
In world war two would you be considered 4F if your count down was in the next six months? Or would they not care? Would they say nah, at the least we'll get six months of fighting out of you. And how would someone feel, knowing that their buddy's soulmate counter was only two days away, while their own was ten years. Would they fight harder to protect their friends, because soon their safety net would be gone?
At some point would there ever be a civil rights movement, saying it was discriminatory to place those with longer countdowns in such dangerous situations?
And this doesn't even touch on the questions of how interracial, and queer couples would be treated. Would platonic soulmates be respected? Would dating even be a thing? If you were expected to meet your soulmate in your eighties could you marry and have children without any social stigma?
There is just so much untapped potential, and so many questions this au raises.

an assortment of Fallout: New Vegas characters as Brian David Gilbert videos
because the hyperfixation is deepening day by day. the polygon videos with BDG will not count so i'm sorry if you're hoping for something like Smash Bros OSHA violations or Sexiest Castlevania Monsters here. also gonna put down the lines from each video that reminded me of the character they're assigned to. here we go ! Arcade Gannon: i wish that i could wear hats (the entire song. all of it) Benny Gecko: My Autobiography ("I ate a brick bench, got a scar on my lip, got equinophobia on a field trip, sold my soul to a demon to see how I die-"/"That demon's still here but I do not know why! May 6, 2030 is when I will die, the scene of my death is incredibly bleak- new videos at the end of every week!") Boone: this video got me a job ("I used to live in Baltimore but now I'm in New York, 'cause there wasn't much in Baltimore for odd video work, so I moved myself to Brooklyn with a bag and a suit and I've got a countdown timer 'till I'm destitute.") Caesar: this song is not a metaphor ("I just think caterpillars don't know what's going on. They're dopey as heck, don't know why we respect something that can't do long division, write petitions, or pay with a check. (AND I CAN DO ALL OF THOSE THINGS!)"/"I'd like to see a caterpillar do that.") Cass: building your online brand ("But, full coordination of your personhood and your branding can be challenging, and that's why I'm here to help you turn your humanity into hu-brand-ity."/"You see, a brand is much like a flower in that it stinks and takes its own path. If you think you know how it will grow, then you've never tasted nature's wrath.") The Courier: that feeling when you bite into a pickle and it's a little squishier than you expected ("Okay, then you tell me: what's the feeling?" "It's... it's, ah... I'm feeling... ffah- shhh- s- s- s- susuuuu- saaaaa-ahhhhh aeeehhh... ... ... I DON'T KNOW! I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE FEELING IS! I don't know what it is!"/the entire musical part/"... I feel... zjierb.") Fantastic: the rollerblader's world is limitless (again, the entire video) Joshua Graham: MY WEIRD ICE CREAMS: a cooking video ("It's gonna be 90 degrees in New York City today. And even with air conditioning, it just means I'm gonna be in a constant state of slightly sweaty."/"When you have an ice cream maker, the world is your oyster. You could make oyster ice cream, and I won't stop you! I can't stop you. No one can."/"And now we can leave and not have to listen to that for thirty minutes."/"This is an ice cream you have after defeating your arch nemesis in chess.") Lily: Pumpkin Cowboy (the whole song) Raul: shingle jingle (the dance break scene.) The Think Tank: it's time to get good at darts ("By the year 2053, all communication will be done via dart board. There is no more poverty or famine, there is only darts. The world has moved past the need for currency. Criminal activities have long since ceased. War is just a whisper in the memories of those who can recall a time before the dartening. This future can become a reality, so long as we understand that the time has finally come. The time to get good at darts.") Veronica: i'm not superstitious but i am afraid to prune my money tree (again, the whole song) Yes Man: buy my bed ("I need this bed out of my house by TUESDAY, because on TUESDAY, I'm havin' a POTLUCK, and I can't having people comin' to my POTLUCK askin' why the hell there's two BEDS against the wall!")

Signs of Jesus return
i felt lead recently to compile some of the signs and current events pointing to Jesus’ soon return. i don’t know who this is meant for, but i know it’s for someone. so i hope that whoever reads this finds it helpful and informative 💙 (this is not complete either, as there are too many to list)
The Fig Tree Generation:
Jesus often used a fig tree to describe the country of Israel in His prophecies. “Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branches bud and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is near. In the same way, when you see all these things, you can know His return is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene until all these things take place.” (Matthew 24:32-34)
In Psalm 90, Moses describes a generation being “70-80 years,' and Isaiah 66:7-8 says, “Before the birth pains even begin, Jerusalem gives birth to a son. Who has ever seen anything as strange as this? Who ever heard of such a thing? Has a nation ever been born in a single day? Has a country ever come forth in a mere moment?” This did happen. In 1948, Israel became a nation in a day, after almost 2000 years. Israel needed to be a nation to fulfill its part in the Tribulation, so the countdown couldn't start without them. The imagery of birth pains is used in the Bible to describe the troubles that the world will go through before the Day of the Lord, meaning Israel must become a nation before the Lord's return.
1948+80 year generation= 2028. But since Jesus said “everything” (Rapture and Tribulation) would happen before the fig tree generation passed away (turns 81), we have to take away 7 years from the 2028 final count. That leads us to 2021-May 2022 approximately (right before they turn 74).
The Jewish Temple:
The book of Daniel speaks of the time during the 7 year Tribulation, when the Antichrist will come and take over Israel. “The ruler will make a treaty with the people for a period of one set of seven, but after half this time, he will put an end to the (daily) sacrifices and offerings. And as a climax to all his terrible deeds, he will set up a sacrilegious object that causes desecration, until the fate decreed for this defiler is finally poured out on him.” (Daniel 9:27) “The day is coming when you will see what Daniel the prophet spoke about- the sacrilegious object that causes desecration standing in the Holy Place.” (Matthew 24:15)
The second Jewish Temple was destroyed in 70 A.D., and hasn't been rebuilt since. The Holy Place is a specific spot inside the Temple, and the daily sacrifices and offerings that go along with the Jewish Law are only performed with the Temple in use.
As of 2021, the preparations for the Third Temple are nearly complete. The plans are laid out, the priests have been trained in the rules and rituals, the materials are all gathered. One source even says that theoretically the Temple could be built in a matter of 3-6 months. All they are waiting for is the go ahead. Those of the Jewish faith don't believe that Jesus is their Messiah, and many expect that the building of Third Temple will coincide with their own messiah making his appearance.. It's noteworthy that they're so close to building it after all this time.
The Abraham Accords:
In September 2020 the Abraham Accords were officially signed, setting up a peace deal with multiple Middle Eastern countries, including the United States. Since then other countries have added themselves to the peace treaty. There hasn't been a deal like this in the Middle East in a long time, much less centered around Israel. When the Antichrist comes to power, he strengthens a treaty or proposal of peace that already exists, and so the Abraham Accords have come at a significant time.
“Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom (ethnicity) against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, and there will be famines and plagues in many lands, and there will be terrifying things and great miraculous signs from heaven.” (Luke 10-11)
Wars:
So many of the great wars in history have been within the last hundred years. War is not an uncommon thing for humanity, but the impact is much greater now, as is the frequency of wars on the horizon. Currently, many of the World Powers are already declaring war and/or making preparations. China threatening war against Taiwan and it's allies, Iran desiring to destroy the US and wipe Israel out as a nation, and many more threatened. It's not a question of if but of when.
Earthquakes:
The frequency of earthquakes has drastically gone up over the last couple years, not only in numbers but also in magnitude power. As I'm writing this (8/22/2021), we've had over twelve 7.0+ earthquakes in the last two weeks. That's not a normal level, not even taking into account all the earthquakes of lower magnitudes. Volcanic activity is rising as well. Many volcanoes that were previously thought to be dormant are awakening, some even erupting. Iceland's volcano Fagradalsfjall was thought to be dormant for 6000 years, until it erupted last March. (“Dutchsinse” on Youtube is a good source for seismic activity.)
Famines:
Because of the change in weather patterns, with flooding and wildfires and droughts, many of the worlds “bread baskets” (where a large portion of their food is grown) are not producing enough food. A shortage is already coming on America, not to mention all the other nations that are in the midst of one. Greece, Turkey, Australia, Italy, California and Oregon (US) are all burning at record rates. And mass  flooding is impacting just as much area, like Indonesia, China, New York (US), Haiti, Germany, and more.
Plagues/ Diseases:
Everyone is aware of the effect of the C Virus on the world, and now a new variant is appearing. Diseases like Ebola and the Bubonic Plague are re-emerging. Animals are experiencing these effects as well. Massive animal die offs are happening all over the world, from mysterious diseases and unknown causes. Various plagues have swarmed countries, for instance the mass attacks of locusts that have eaten through parts of Africa, and the infestation of billions of mice in Australia.
Signs in the Heavens:
“And I will cause wonders in the heavens and on the earth- blood and fire and columns of smoke. The sun will become dark, and the moon will turn blood red before that great and terrible day of the Lord arrives.” (Joel 2:30-31)
As I mentioned earlier, volcanoes all over the world are waking up and erupting at an alarming rate. The super volcano centered in Yellowstone Wyoming (US) has been showing worrying signs of stirring as well.
In 2014, two Blood Moons landed on two of God's Feasts, which carry significance. Then in 2015 there was a Solar Eclipse, followed by another two Blood Moons that landed on the same Feasts as the previous year. In 2017, the Great American Solar Eclipse drew a line across the US. In 2020, the “Bethlehem Star” made an appearance as Jupiter and Saturn almost merged in the sky. Though it's not the same cosmic event as the true “Star” that heralded Christ's birth, its rarity and symbolism is important. This August 2021 we just had a rare Blue Moon.
The Revelation 12 Sign:
“Then I witnessed in heaven an event of great significance. I saw a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon beneath her feet, and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant, and she cried out because of her labor pains and the agony of giving birth.” (Revelation 12:1-2)
In September 2017, this sign appeared in the sky for the first time ever. The constellation Virgo represents the woman, and the nine stars of Leo plus 3 wandering stars lined up as her crown. The moon was near her feet in the constellation and the sun was at her shoulder shining on her “clothes.” Then Jupiter entered the middle of the constellation (her stomach) and stayed there for nine months and left. Jupiter is generally considered to represent a ruler, and the child in Revelation is believed to represent the Church (Jesus' Body). The rest of Revelation 12: 3-5 speaks of the child being snatched away from the Dragon (the devil), which represents the Rapture of the Church before the Tribulation. So it's incredibly significant that the first part of this prophecy was fulfilled in the stars. (There's also a type of 4 year grace period before judgment in scripture (Luke 13:6-9), so 2017+ 4 years warning = 2021).
The Vaxx System:
“He required everyone- small and great, rich and poor, free and slave- to be given a mark on the right hand or on the forehead. And no one could buy or sell anything without that mark, which was either the name of the beast or the number representing the name.” (Revelation 13:16-17)
This is not about whether or not to take the vaxx, it's about the mentality around it. The animosity in the world media keeps growing towards those who don't wish to take it. The results don't add up to how single minded they are becoming, and it's easily paving the way for regulations to be carried out by brute force. There are stricter and stricter limitations to those who don't feel safe taking it, like being unable to shop at a grocery story or go to work... In the future, the world won't blink twice about a universal Mark of much greater magnitude and greater consequences. The consequences of refusing won't just mean an inability to buy or sell, but death.
Alien Disclosure:
As of 2021, the US government has released the information they have on Unidentified Flying Objects, confirming the possibility of aliens. The first main stream event involving the alien conspiracy was the Roswell Incident of 1947, about a year before Israel became a nation. The reason why this is so significant is because 1) the Fig Tree prophecy was about to start when Israel revived, beginning the End Times countdown and 2) 2 Thessalonians 2:11 says the people left after the Rapture will believe a “Great Delusion.” Even a couple years ago, the thought of aliens coming down and taking people away would have been laughed at, but not now. Satan is the Prince of the Air; he uses his demons and spirits to appear as other things, so as to lead people away from the Truth of God. He knew when Israel became a nation the clock was ticking for the need of a believable lie. Now people could easily believe that all the Christians that disappeared were “beamed up” by aliens. (We don't know specifically what the Delusion will be yet, but this is certainly a possibility.)
Dreams and Visions:
“ 'In the Last Days,' God says, 'I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophecy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. In those days I will pour out My Spirit even on my servants- men and women alike- and they will prophecy.' “ (Acts 2:17-18)
Around the end of 2019 to the beginning of 2020, End Times dreams skyrocketed. The sheer amount that can be found on Youtube is astounding and it continues to grow. Dreams about the Rapture, dreams from Jesus, dreams about disasters that are coming; people from all over the world are sounding the alarm. And these aren't internet celebrities or self proclaimed prophets; these are every day normal people, some of which weren't even Christian to begin with. The amount of non-Believers that have had Jesus appear to them to save them continues to grow as well.
I personally felt an awakening through the Holy Spirit sometime around early 2020, that Jesus was returning soon. And the more I've studied Bible prophecies and current events I know that it's fast approaching. Although it's important to test the spirits of dreams to see if it's really from God or not, the message of the majority is clear. Time is short.
(This was just a small selection of the MANY signs that God continues to send as warnings. The frequency and intensity is rising like it never has before. A more in depth list can be found, along with Bible references and news sources, at https://www.ithasbeenwritten.com/ )
To You:
For those of you who are un-Believers, I am not writing this to be a fear monger. When evidence and reports come in that there's a bomb in a building, the people inside need to know about it. Even if it ends up being fake, the risk isn't worth it. This isn't just one fanatic Christian with a dream trying to convince everyone the end is near, this is the whole world. No matter what you believe about Bible prophecies, these current events are real things that are happening, and show no signs of slowing down. The good news is that Jesus died to save you from all this. He died to clear our sin debt and give us the hope of Heaven, a place we could never get to on our own. And His signs are saying He's coming soon to rescue everyone who accepted His sacrifice and entered His family.
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9)
For those Believers that don't think Jesus is returning soon, please pray about it and study His word. He was angry at the Pharisees of the generation of His first coming, because He said, “You know how to interpret the weather signs in the sky, but you don't know the how to interpret the signs of the times!” (Matthew 16:3).
Matthew 24's “no one knows the day/hour” is not saying that we won't know the season in which He will return. If it were, He wouldn't have gone to all the trouble of giving so many signs of the closeness of the event. “So you, too, must keep watch! For you don't know what day your Lord is coming.” (Matthew 24:42) “But you aren't in the dark about these things (signs), dear brothers and sisters, and you won't be surprised when the Day of the Lord comes like a thief.” (1 Thessalonians 5:4) Are you watching? Let's do our best to be a light as much as possible before it's too late.
“So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation draws near!” (Luke 21:28)

Prompt: Far Future
This is taken from the Good Omens celebration theme list!
I’m not keeping up super well, but you can go read all the prompts I’ve finished on AO3.

“If your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of heaven, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there he will take you.”
Deuteronomy 30:4
The angel and the demon stood side by side and watched as the staff complement of 500 humans boarded a cargo carrier bound for elsewhere. Up. Above. Out. They were flinging off the confines of this planet, imagining their way free of the boundaries of Earth. It was an unimaginably long journey they were embarking on, and one with no return. Most of them would sleep for thousands of years and be awoken only in shifts, to keep the ship running, the oxygen and food supply functioning, and to prepare everyone else for landing and being awoken.
It had been a long time coming, this journey. And yet, it felt inevitable.
“Do you think she intended for this to happen?” Crowley asked quietly.
“I hardly think it matters, my dear,” Aziraphale said. “They’re going, whether she wants them to or not.”
Crowley watched for a moment as the bustle continued, loading people and crates and endless packages onto the exploration vehicle, what they called a generation ship.
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth,” Crowley said thoughtfully.
A hint of a smile played around the angel’s lips.  “For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens, who formed the earth and made it. She established it; she did not create it empty, she formed it to be inhabited,” Aziraphale answered.
They both took a moment to absorb that. There was nothing in the words of the Almighty to indicate that humans shouldn’t be going off to explore and inhabit. She had said so herself.
It was a momentous occasion; they could both feel it in their bones. Crowley remembered the moon launch, in July of 1969, when it felt like humans had achieved the incredible and there was no way of stopping them from crashing up into the heavens and all but finding the almighty themselves, wherever she had chosen to hide away, and demand reparations for their harms.
In the six hundred years that followed though, that promise had been sidetracked again and again – by endless wars, by famine, by the plagues of 2020 and 2235, by the third great war which desolated the planet, by the stark and somber rebuilding that followed, by the move away from science and finally back towards it in the late 24th century. There had been dark times and careful remnants of learning and hope to nurture and spark through it all and they had overseen it together, whatever came, guarding the survivors of humanity and carefully guiding them back into the second great renaissance of learning and exploration. All of which led to this moment – not the achievement of spaceflight, that had happened hundreds of years ago, but the advancement of technical knowledge to the point where humans felt like they could actually survive in space, on the long journey to the nearest M1 class planets.
“Should we, do you think, go with them?” Aziraphale asked, feeling a little forlorn. “It’s – it’s an ark, you realize. Like Noah. We went with Noah, to keep them safe. Shouldn’t we go with them?”
“Possibly,” Crowley said. “It raises an important question though. We’ve been their guardians for a long time now, since our wings turned gray. But here’s the crux of it: are we the guardians of Earth, or the guardians of humanity?”
It sounded like philosophical naval gazing, on the one hand, Aziraphale thought, but on the other, he had a feeling that a more important question had never been asked.
“I think,” Aziraphale said, “that we are the guardians of the humans first, and the Earth second.”
“Then if they find a new Earth, we should be where they are.”
“Will they make it where they’re hoping to go without us?” Aziraphale wondered.
“Possibly,” Crowley said. “They’re all going to sleep for a long time. Without our help, the chances are probably low. But not impossible.”
“We could improve the odds so, so much,” the angel observed wistfully. “We could just bless them, you know. That would help.”
“It would,” Crowley said. “But still. Unexpected things could happen out there. It’d be so much more fun to be there for it.”
“They’re so brave,” Aziraphale noted, getting a little teary. “Would you ever have thought, back in the days of Cain and Abel and the sons of Eve, that we’d be here, on this day, watching them leave the cradle?”
Crowley reached out and slung an arm around the angel’s shoulder, pulling him into his side. He could tell by now when his husband needed comforting. He was hiding how much he felt the same. He would examine it later, once he had his mate on a steady footing again.
“I want to go!” Aziraphale burst out. “It’s dangerous out there! There could be all kinds of wild animals and… and dangerous radiation that they’ve never encountered before… and… and poisonous plants they don’t recognize! They’re children, Crowley, children! They need us!”
“Sounds like we should miracle our way onto the register, then,” the demon said, smiling gently. “I’m game if you are. We could be – science officers? Personnel specialists? I’ll figure something out.”
The angel wrung his hands. “But wouldn’t we be abandoning our posts here?”
“Not really,” Crowley said. “We could keep an eye on both of them.”
“Not by splitting up,” Aziraphale said, warily. “I mean, if this is a plan where one of us is on Earth and one of us is on the generation ship, I’m not interested.”
Crowley frowned. “No of course not. We just – we oversee them. Call it a commuter job.” He thought for a minute. “I think She wouldn’t mind us watching over them. She might even be counting on it.”
“We really know nothing about running a generation ship, though, my dear,” Aziraphale demurred.
“No, we don’t,” Crowley said. “But we’ll have a few thousand years to learn it. And don’t forget, we’d have the fun of exploring the effects of zero gravity.” He leered. He waggled and eyebrow.
The angel gave him the laugh he was angling for, and some of the tension fell away.
“All right, then,” Aziraphale said. “Let’s gather a few things and find a way on board. I’ve had a go bag packed for a few centuries now, just in case. I assume you’ve done the same?”
Crowley nodded. “Won’t take me long.”
“Countdown commences in four hours,” Aziraphale noted, checking the chronometer display. “Plenty of time for us to get to New London and back here.”
Crowley turned and smiled at him. “A new adventure, then?”
“I believe that would be lovely,” the angel said. He was already planning which books to bring. A few hundred should do for a start.

Supernatural Omens (part five)
The nice and accurate prophecies of someone, somewhere about something that never happened. A fan fiction.
Warnings: None. Feel free to read this in front of your family and pets :)
  word count: I think it’s short. :)
_____________________________________________
The countdown had officially begun and thankfully they had the antichrist at the tip of their fingers, but they wouldn’t meet him just yet. When the horns finally died down a heavy rain fell upon them. Everyone piled into Crowley’s Bentley to shelter themselves.
It’s safe to say that up until this point Team Free Will had kept the amount of patience they had left to themselves. Dean and Sam, Dean more than Sam, were itching to do something about this ‘case’. Dean was ready to go in, guns blazing, as soon as the opportunity presented itself. But so far that hadn’t come. Sam was starting to question why Crowley and Aziraphale had wanted their help if for the past days they’d done nothing but follow them around. Jack and Castiel could still hold onto their patience for a little while longer.
After a moments silence Jack said.”So what’s next?”
“Now we go where the motorcyclists we're going. They’re important to the end of the world.”
“What motorcyclists?” Asked both Dean and Crowley.
“Jack went missing for a little bit.”Said Castiel.”When we found him he was talking to four people on motorcycles. I’m not sure who they are.”
“We know they are..” Said Crowley, who was driving towards the airbase.
“Alright!” exclaimed Dean.”Quit being mysterious and dodgy. As people who you’ve dragged out of their world to HELP you, I think you are obligated to tell us what is happening, exactly as it’s happening. Because if you don't I honestly don't see why you came to us for help. So..start talking.”
Crowley nodded.”You’re absolutely right. Over the past few days there have been a succession of events. Check this out.” From under his thigh the Demon pulled out a newspaper. As the Winchesters looked through it,Crowley explained.”What once used to be a myth is now a reality. The lost city of Atlantis has resurfaced. Meanwhile the mythological creature known as the Kraken has come out of deep waters. And in local news not that long ago it was reported that there were ufo spotting over Tadfield. Who do you think is doing all of this?”
  “The antichrist..” Said Castiel.
“Adam.” Corrected Aziraphale.”His name is Adam Young.”
“Okay.Who are the motorcyclists then?”Asked Sam.
“They are the four horsemen who, at Adams command, will unleash their terror. Famine,Pollution,War and Death.” Crowley informed.”They will be meeting at the United States Airbase here in Tadfield. It’s up to us to get there before Adam gives him his go.We have four hours until all of this is supposed to happen.”
Sam raised an eyebrow.”So..we’re just going to stay near the airbase until it's time?”
  “That's the plan.”
Thunder cracked in the sky. Jack flinched and leaned into Castiel. Then suddenly the car began to rattle, then involuntarily swerve. The steering wheel started steered itself so Crowley couldn’t get a good hold of it. He angrily tried getting it under control but it was no use. He suddenly began to panic. In the passengers seat Aziraphale held on for his dear life. The outsiders in the back  held onto their seats, but when the car took a sharp swerve, they let go and held onto each other. Everyone in the car had their eyes closed.
Then the sudden movements stopped. Slowly Crowley opened an eye. His breath hitched. They were in the eye of a tornado. A tornado that had been created at the same time the storm had been put over The United Kingdom. The Demon stopped time.He knew at that point that if a miracle bigger than any miracle Aziraphale or himself could stir up would somehow come to them, the four outsiders would be safe. For the first time ever,Crowley prayed.
Luck was on his side. The Bentley went from a three seater to a four seater car. Sitting all the way in the back, fixing his hair, was Gabriel. The Gabriel from Sam and Deans universe. He wore a white shirt and jeans.Crowleys eyes widened.”Who are you?” he asked rather softly.
  “I’m Gabriel.”He responded.”The archangel.”
The demon raised his eyebrows.”You must be the archangel Gabriel from Sam and Dean’s universe.”
“I must be. Do you have another archangel Gabriel here in your universe?”
“Yeah we do. He’s one of the higher ranking assholes who love to tell everyone what to do but don’t lift a finger to do anything themselves.Typical of Archangels.”
Gabriel stayed quiet.Crowley quickly jumped to retract himself. He talked quickly.”Not that I think you’re like them in any way. We’ve only just met. I’m sorry if I offended you. I didn’t mean too.”   Quickly the archangel stopped Crowley.”Hey hey hey..” Gabe laughed.”It’s fine. It’s okay, no hard feelings. Don’t worry about it.”Crowley let out a sigh of relief. Gabriel then added.”What's your name?”
  “Crowley.I’m a Demon.”
Gabriel chuckled.”You’re not Crowley. You sound like him though. But then gain you might have found another vessel. If that’s the case then welcome back.I hope there aren’t any hard feelings.”
“No.”Crowley shook his head.”I’m the demon Crowley of this universe.”
“Ahh got it. It’s nice to meet you.”
“Likewise.Listen. If we make it out of this I’ll be sure to invite you out for a cup of coffee where myself and Aziraphale ,the angel sitting next to me, can get to know him better. But right know it would be great if-”
“I heard your prayer earlier. Don’t worry. I’ll take care of this sticky situation.”
“What are you going to do?” Crowley asked curiously.
“I’m going to get you, your friend ,my friends, and you're car out of this tornado.” Gabe smiled.”When I say go you’re going to start time back up. Brace for impact when you do.”
“Okay.”The demon nodded.”Will my Bentley come down okay?”
“Yep. I’ll be sure to make it so that the impact doesn’t affect your car.”
Crowley nodded once more. He closed his eyes tightly. Time picked back up. Aziraphale,Dean,Sam,Jack and Castiel screamed bloody murder as the Bentley plunged from the sky. It felt nothing like any rollercoaster you’ve ever been on. They felt as though the force would puncture a hole through their chest. Crowley was the only one that didn’t scream. He held tightly onto the steering wheel until his knuckled turned red. His eyes stayed shut the whole way down. Mentally he imagined that he was-in fact-on the tallest rollercoaster in the world, plunging down along with other thrill seekers. But he never liked rollercoasters, so he imagined that Aziraphale had convinced him into trying it once for him.The impact was loud. The whole car shook terribly. The exterior of the Bentley made a screech that pierced the ears.
When Crowley finally opened his eyes he turned to check his copilots safety.”Aziraphale.”He breathed out.”Are you alright? Are you hurt?”
The angel checked himself for any signs of trauma. He found none.”Yes, i’m fine. I’m perfect actually.” Aziraphale turned to look at the occupants of the car.”Are you fellows okay? No broken bones? No bleeding?”
Sam and Dean looked up and down at one another.”No.” Sam chuckled nervously.”We’re fine. Jack? Cas?”
“We’re both fine.” Castiel answered.Jack had his arms wrapped tightly around Cas’ middle.”How on earth did we all survive that?”
Crowley looked back at where Gabriel was sitting. He wasn’t there anymore. Flabbergasted,Crowley got out of the car. For a second he thought that he had gone mad. But nope. Gabriel was outside, looking at the Bentley that just like he had promised, wasn’t scratched. It’s exterior was still nice and shiny almost as if it had been washed. The wheels were still full air. The head lights and tail lights were without a scratch or a crack. Crowley grew utterly overwhelmed with this that he flung his door opened and embraced Gabriel tightly.Gabriel awkwardly hugged him back.
“You got us out safely!”Crowley exclaimed.
  “I said I would.”
“I’m..not one with nice words. But just know that i’m very...grateful.”
Gabriel smiled.”You're welcome. Is everyone else alright?”
“Yeah everyones perfect.”The Demon called out for the other five.”HEY! FELLAS? Come on out. We have a visitor.”
Jack was the first to greet Gabriel. When he saw his favorite archangel he quickly ran to hug him. He then began explaining what had just happed. Being in the eye of a tornado and how scary it felt. Dropping from it and somehow surviving it. Jack was so enthusiastically explaining the whole ordeal that he never thought for a second of the possibility that it had been Gabriel the whole time. However Dean,Sam and Castiel caught on quickly. When Jack went back to hugging him,Gabriel gave the boys a wink and a smile. They silently agreed that that surviving the tornado had been a miracle and not something he had done. Crowley and Aziraphale agreed too.
They made the rookie mistake of letting their guard down, especially Crowley. From the tall bushes behind him two filthy hands reached out. They grabbed a firm hold of his jacket and pulled the Demon in. Crowley’s back slammed against a tree. Hastur, another demon, growled in Crowley’s face. He didn't look happy. But then again he never was.
“Hastur!” Crowley exclaimed happily, trying his very best to keep his cool.”So wonderful to see you old pal. How’ve you been? Is that a new haircut? It looks divine.”
“Shut it!”Barked Hastur.”First you become buddy buddy with an angel. Then Beelzebub informs us that you’ve been praying?! Have you forgotten your place? You think you’re some sort of angel now? Some sort of pure and holy entity? Because if that’s the case I think we should take you back to headquarters to be rightfully aligned. Or sentenced.”
Crowley desperately racked his brain for an answer. But when he saw the figure standing behind Hastur, he calmed down.”I think that this has been lovely. And if we meet again in the future we should go out for a cup of coffee. You could meet my new friend.”
Hastur tilted his head curiously.”New friend?”
“He means me.” Gabriel responded. Hastur didn’t have time to react. When he turned around Gabriel put his hand on the filthy demons forehead. Hastur let out a scream as the archangel exterminated the entity inside the vessel. The cadaver that once used to be Hastur dropped dead. Gabriel met Aziraphale and Crowley’s eyes. They stood side by side with their mouth agape. Dean,Sam and Castiel stood their smiling.
“That’s our Gabe.” Sam said proudly.
Thunder cracked nearby. Jack crouched down to the floor. His eyes turned gold. For a moment, he didn’t move. His eyes looked up at the sky, searching for something. Or maybe they were hearing for something. Regardless, he found what they all had so desperately been looking for. Jack shot forward. He ran rapidly down the woods. His legs looked as though they would fly off.
  “JACK!” Castiel shouted.
  “Come on guys!” Dean said.
The five of them ran after the nephilim, who was leading them to the antichrist.

✿ + greek myth au :D
Send me a ✿ + an AU and I will write some headcanons for my muse in that AU.
Okay, so, obviously stuff isn’t getting followed to a T. Staci, although representing Persephone’s tale in his own right, doesn’t get to be a leader when he goes “underground” (aka into the bunker and back to Jacob’s control). Also no love going on when he goes back to the Whitetails for six months.
As mentioned above, Staci spends six months in the Whitetails, directly under Jacob’s control. The other six months are spent in freedom. Well. “Freedom” is a more fitting term. Still prone to the conditioning and brainwashing, but he’s physically allowed to run wherever he wants in the County. Jacob has eyes everywhere. As soon as Staci is somewhere he should not be, he’s dragged out of there.
As Staci represents what Persephone goes through, Hannah represents Demeter. During the first month of Staci’s return into the wilderness, Hannah does watch over him and protect him, just as a farmer watches over their harvest when it first appears.
Each time he returns, Hannah treats it like it’s just as momentous as the first time.
Hey yeah, Staci tells Hannah what he went through in the underworld of Hope County. All the torture and pain. All the suffering.
HEY YEAH HANNAH HEARS ABOUT THIS AFTER THE FIRST SIX MONTH PERIOD, SHE GOES TO JOSEPH TO TRY AND BARTER TO GET THINGS FIXED, BUT YEAH, SORRY, WHEN STACI’S IN THE MOUNTAINS, THEY CAN’T STOP JACOB FROM WHAT HE DOES.
Sadly, the first week of Staci’s return is not met with happiness on his own part. Hannah takes him home, let’s him feel the kindness and love of a home once more, but he’s so confused. He knows he ran out of the bunker and into her arms, but he doesn’t really understand why.
But then things get better as the days progress. He’s denying instincts. He’s remembering who he was. He’s avoiding trampling plants. He’s starting to eat fruits again. He’s wearing comfortable clothes. He’s shirtless, showing his scars, but probably keeps to wearing sweatpants and then he’s barefoot.
During the summer, you can find Staci draping himself over the branches of a tree, eating from a pomegranate and flicking a few seeds to the ground and watching them sprout.
Staci: does thatHannah: IM SO PROUD OF HIM
Also added lil note (because I love bothering Fox @sanctemony ): Even though it’s a Greek mythology AU, I love incorporating other religion and mythos, and John in it absolutely still represents the Horseman of Famine. He loves to remind Hannah and Staci of the countdown to when the harvest ends and Staci is sent back North:
iscariotsdeputy: john, being....as john as he always is, I feel would kinda lean into the fact he represents famine and the use of the scales. Using those scales to kinda represent the equal six months. and him taunting Staci and Hannah when the six months are coming to an endearlygraave: he places a countdown on a billboardiscariotsdeputy: as it nears the last ten days, there are radio announcements about itearlygraave: they are mocking and unavoidable, taunting that winter is coming for the peaches are dyingiscariotsdeputy: staci swears that he broke the radio, but the messages still play.earlygraave: it's on the television and hissed during sermons from the pew behind them

When the 4th Horseman of the Apocalypse arrives, power will be given unto him to bring forth…pizza?
And I looked, and behold a pale horse. And his name that sat upon him was Death. And Hell followed with him.
With that quote hanging over the bar, you might expect War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death to be lurking within the gloomy confines of The 4th Horseman, impatiently waiting for the countdown to Armageddon to signal the end of times. Instead, you will encounter craft beer, fine wine, and “apocalyptic pizza” that truly is worthy of its name – it’s so good you won’t mind if the world is ending.
The 4th Horseman Review: Apocalyptic Horror in Long Beach
The 4th Horseman is a horror-themed “pizza place” in Long Beach, presided over by its own quartet of apocalyptic riders:  Ryan Hughes, chef Adam Schmalz, Jeremy Schott (Dark Art Emporium), and Martin Svab (Phantom Carriage Brewery and Blendery). The latter two provide interesting points of comparison and contrast, which help define what the 4th Horseman is.
Like Dark Art Emporium, The 4th Horseman is an entertaining anomaly in Long Beach. The sunny surroundings and ocean breezes evoke feelings of summer fun, suitable for a nautical theme or maybe a sports bar. Instead, the 4th Horseman is decked out in horror-movie regalia: posters, lobby cards, drawings, and even arcade games.
Robot Holocaust (1986)
The effect is similar to Phantom Carriage, but whereas that Carson City brewery (named after a silent Swedish horror film) is attuned to the moody atmosphere of black-and-white genre classics, the 4th Horseman embraces a grungy grindhouse vibe, enhanced with throbbing music; the combination suggests an apocalypse informed less by the Book of Revelation than by low-budget ’80s exploitation filmmaking of the Mad-Max-wannabe variety. Sure, Hammer horror and Famous Monsters of Filmland are represented on the walls, but the tone is better exemplified by a prominently displayed poster from the no-budget camp classic Robot Holocaust, which became an early – and hysterically funny – target of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
In other words, reverence for the genre is not required; you need not be a card-carrying horror geek to enjoy the 4th Horseman, just someone who enjoys pizza and beer in an amusingly tongue-in-cheek setting, redolent of drive-in theatres, midnight movies, and double-bill horror shows.
The 4th Horseman Review: Pizza and Brew
Poe’s Raven enjoys “Slasher” pizza.
Apocalyptic ambiance aside, since opening earlier this year, the 4th Horseman has quickly earned a reputation as a purveyor of excellent pizza, garnering praise-filled write-ups in the Long Beach Post, Thrill List, OC Weekly, and Los Angeles Eater. During our recent excursion to Long Beach for Midsummer Scream (reviewed here), we detoured to the 4th Horseman, to judge for ourselves whether that reputation is warranted.
Apparently, chef Adam Schmalz’s culinary philosophy is that anything that goes into a sandwich can go into a pizza; the result is a wide variety of delicious pies hiding behind unsavory names such as “Rosemary’s Baby” and “Angel of Death.” Some are simple (“Slasher” with tomato sauce, mozzarella, and Pepperoni); others are more outré (“Memento Mori” with beef bulgogi, kimchi, gochujang, roasted pineapple).
We opted for a slice of “The Black Horse,” a vegetarian offering with sauce, mozzarella, roasted peppers, balsamic mushrooms, kalamata olives, and fresh basil. What we received was more than a mere slice – more like a mini-pizza. Not that we’re complaining: like James Bond, we “hate small portions of anything, particularly when they taste bad,” and we had no cause to worry on either count. The crust was perfect, with exactly the right amount of crunch. The flavors blended incredibly well with the basil coming through just enough to unify the mix. We weren’t even hungry, but we couldn’t resist gorging ourselves on every last crumb.
Wine and beer are on the menu at 4th Horseman.
(By way of comparison, we had lunched on a flatbread pizza earlier in the day at the Long Beach Convention Center. Compared to “The Black Horse,” the flatbread pizza was not worthy of being tossed in the 4th Horseman’s garbage dump.)
For libation, we went off the usual menu, ordering a chalkboard special listed behind the cash register. 4th Horseman is a beer and wine bar, loaded with Lager, Ale, Sour, Stout, Cider, Cabernet, Chardonnay, and Pino Noir; nevertheless, we opted for a cocktail entitled “Zombie Queen.”
As you can guess from the name, this was meant to be a tropical drink along the lines of a Passion Fruit Zombie. Ordering cocktails in a beer-and-wine bar is almost always a dubious proposition; most likely you will get a ghastly wannabe with some watery wine aperitif failing to substitute for hard liquor. The Zombie Queen was a notable exception: with its refreshing flavor – fruity but not too sweet – we would have mistaken it for a legit cocktail served at a Tiki bar. The 4th Horseman’s bartender should consider adding this to the regular menu.
The 4th Horseman Review: Conclusion
When we seek out horror-themed bars, breweries, and distilleries, we’re usually looking for atmosphere and setting. The most we expect from the menu is a few clever names lending a sinister aura to otherwise typical items. The 4th Horseman is an exception to this rule – an establishment worth recommending solely on the basis of its food and beverage. The post-apocalyptic horror decor is certainly worth a look, but much more worthwhile is sitting down to eat and drink.
The 4th Horseman Review: Full Disclosure
Proprietor Ryan Hughes helped me out of a jam when my car was towed from a lot next door (“no parking” signs were not prominently displayed). If you think that made me write good things about the 4th Horseman’s pizza, you obviously have not tasted their pizza.
The 4th Horseman Review: Photo Gallery
Annd behold a pale horse, and his name that sat upon him was Death.
Famous Monsters and Hammer Horror adorn the walls
Lilly Munster
George A. Romero’s Martin
Nightmare Castle, Microsave Massacre, Curse of the Dead, Scream of Fear
Review: The 4th Horseman (bar & kitchen) When the 4th Horseman of the Apocalypse arrives, power will be given unto him to bring forth...pizza?

Limbo Laughs
Tumblr media
It is your first day at film school in Berlin, probably the edgiest european metropolis, and you are feeling tip top. You can’t quite decide whether the double shot cold brew that you’re currently drinking is making you feel on the edge, or has indeed just added another edge to your effortlessly cool hexagonal prowess. Either way, you are pumped for what some might describe as the first day of the rest of your life. Despite graduating more than a year ago, the existence of the dream J-O-B is proving v. elusive and you have realised that you are surprisingly still interested in interesting things. You kind-of think an MA is the way forward, but you haven’t quite got over the strugs of referencing your 12000-word dissertation, so instead you’ve discovered something called the short course. And one way or another, but mostly because your extremely cool flatmate Elodie suggested it and then promptly sublet your room for the summer, you are in Berlin to learn how to make documentaries.  You don’t really know anything about le camera, but inspired by Louis Theroux and David Attenborough you quite fancy the idea of making a show called something like “Lou’s Thoroughly Weird Weekdays” or “Lou Planet”.
Despite not speaking a word of German you navigate the S-bahn like the Super-Trouper that you are, and firmly decide that your new favourite catchphrase to use both inappropriately and frequently is:
AUSSTIEG LINKS
(EXIT LEFT)
In your ears, the ABBA Gold Anniversary album is thundering on. True, it’s not techno, but to be honest “Chiquitita” has some beats that could only be described as tropical.
Having arrived in school and whilst having a nice chat with one of your new classmates, your teacher decides to drop the entirely expected, but also entirely unexpected ice-breaker bombshell that you’re going to have to introduce yourself to the class and name your favourite film.
Initially you think this is fine. You’ve got this. You can do this. You know what your name is, and you’ve watched films before. This is your chance to show to everyone that you are symbiotically effortlessly cool and a natural genius. But then as you try to think of an appropriate film, a film that really says I am a serious wannabe documentary filmmaker, a film that shouts maturity and intellectual nobility, your mind goes blank.
Very blank.
Very, very blank.
In fact, the only film that you can clearly think of is The Lion King.
Fuck.
Come on, you think to yourself. You can’t say that your favourite film is The Lion King. You’ve got to come up with another film. Any film. Literally. Any. Other. Film.
You’re mind is just so empty. You can’t think of anything else. There’s literally nothing but Simba in your brain.
FUCCCK.
You suddenly realise that the class has started introducing themselves, it’s ok, you’re seated roughly in the middle, but the countdown is on to come up with another film. There are a lot of extremely moving, human-rights-themed documentaries being mentioned. Someone’s definitely just talked the famine in Yemen and a short report film made by the Guardian. You read the fucking Guardian every day why can you think of nothing else but Hakuna Matata?
Your turn is definitely nearing. COME ON.
“In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion...”
Not fucking funny.
You are in Berlin. You are in a city which produced award winning films like “Run Lola Run” and “Goodbye Lenin”, fostered Werner Herzog, and inspired thousands of literary greats including Margaret Atwood. You are at film school. You are in a room filled with really seriously cool and passionate people from all over the world and who’ve worked for MSF and on peace boats and for film festivals. And the only film that you can think of is The Lion King?!
Panic. Major Panic.
As it comes to your turn, you give your brain one last push and in a similar way to a rogue golfball knocking out a koi carp, something else plops into your brain and with no time to think you just go with it.
“Yeah so, I mean, I guess, my favourite film is... Good.. Will.. Hunting..”
You’ve not seen this film. You have absolutely no idea who’s in it or what it’s about. For all you know it could be about a nice guy called Will who goes Hunting, or it could be about the consumerist vilification of Good Will during the holiday season. It’s frankly a huge mystery as to how precisely that film appeared in your brain, but as you look around the room everyone seems to be positively nodding and agreeing with your choice. Phew.

Launch - Note from the Author
Love is the most powerful force known to mankind. It wrecks kings, destroys barriers, makes us risk everything for a few stolen moments. . . . And all of this makes for a great story.
Reading for the Stars and Moon - What are your favorite sci-fi books and movies?
I can never seem to remember book titles, and I struggle to recall all the plot twists, but the good characters stick with you. They teach you, change you, become a part of you. I aspire to that with my own writing.
Stormy Nights Reviewing & Bloggin' - Crossing In Time (Excerpt #1)
The chubby gun trader shifts his weight and looks up at me, one eye squeezed shut. “What sort of rearm you lookin’ to purchase, ma’am?” He’s enthroned on a maroon chintz armchair in front of a burned-out Walmart. “Handgun,” I say. “Something easy to aim and shoot.”
Hearts & Scribbles - Ask the Characters: How Difficult Is It to Be a Character in D.L. Orton’s Book?
Isabel: There were times when I wasn't sure I wanted to trust a writer with my life. Still, Ms. Orton cares about the same things I do, and I’m dying to see how things turn out. In the end, I wasn't keen on some of the scarier scenes (and I'm still sad about all those animals), but the author assures me that everything will work out in the end. Right, Diego?
I Love Books - The Journey Is the Reward
What's the moral of the story? Don't take the ones you love for granted. They could disappear at any moment—and time machines are pretty hard to come by. Put your arms around someone you care about and just enjoy the moment. The journey is the reward.
Rockin' Book Reviews - Review
"This is a steadily progressing story of love gone awry, reconciliation, commitment, sacrifice for love and mankind, and time travel. The novel begins with a “interest-catching Prologue, then quickly begins to formulate the story on a solid foundation, constantly building in momentum until it ends in a solid climax, leaving the reader anxious for the next sequel in the story! It is complete with romance, suspense, adventure and life’s lessons."
Kindle and Me - Review
"If you like other universes with the same people, nuclear bombs, physics, emergency preparedness, giving up your life for someone you love, dogs, cats, jokes, finding that one special person, biodomes, peeing on a handkerchief with smoke everywhere, and maybe a way to save us all from our mistakes then this might be for you!"
Wishful Endings - Crossing In Time (Excerpt #2)
“Still...” The gun trader waits for me to meet his eyes. “I s’pose I could use some fancy flavorings on my venison.” I regard the only overweight man in a sea of famine, disgusted with the whole human race and embarrassed by my own full stomach.
Zerina Blossom's Books - Author Interview
Is anything in your book based on real life experiences or is it purely all imagination? Who hasn’t looked back at a turning point in his or her life and wondered how things might have played out differently? I met and fell in love with the man I’m married to when we were twenty-eight, and one of the first trips we took together was to attend the wedding of his best buddy from college. At the reception, I ended up seated next to my husband’s ex-girlfriend! Despite an awkward introduction, she and I hit if off, and we ended up comparing notes. (You should have seen his face when he realized we were talking about him.) At the end of the evening, she said something that stuck with me: I wish I would have met him at a different time in my life.
Celticlady's Reviews - How Does Time Travel Work in the Between Two Evils Multiverse?
Take a shower curtain, some ants, and a bowling ball. Start with the shower curtain. It’s a two-dimensional object in a 3-dimensional world. Imagine, now, that you are an ant, walking, talking, and shagging other ants on this thin, flexible membrane (or a "brane" in physics-speak). Layered above and below you are a million other shower curtains, all of them with their own allotment of ants (some of which get paid 78 cents on the dollar due to slight differences in their copulatory organs).
deal sharing aunt - Review
"I enjoy a good time travel and that is what this book is. It has a great romance and a second chance at love. I enjoyed the world the author created and thought that the author did a great job traveling in time."
Colorimetry - Lost Time (Excerpt #1)
I lie in the greenish half-light, my lungs on fire, panic forcing out any rational thought. And then I remember where I am—or rather where I should be. I pound my fists against the translucent coffin lid until I manage to hit the release lever. The top pops open and frigid air rushes in, smelling of damp earth and evergreens. I gasp for breath, my heart pounding. The last thing I remember is a panicked voice shouting to abort the mission. Stop the countdown because…
fuonlyknew - Review
"The beginning swiftly pulls you in. The plot deepens and the characters emerge. And as you draw near to the conclusion, you’re gripped in a vise of suspense that brings tears to your eyes, fearing and hoping for what comes last."
Angels With Attitude Book Reviews - Dead Time (Excerpt #1)
I’m trying to be brave, Mom, but it’s harder than I thought. All the jeeps and other equipment are gone now, and I count four dingy biosuits slogging toward me through the downpour. I gaze up at the sloped wall of the massive biodome, wishing it didn’t look so… alien. What would Madders do? He’d be collecting data, not blubbering like a D-2 who fell off a swing and scraped her knee. Identify the problem, engineer a solution, and Bob’s your uncle.
Bookworm Lisa - Review
"The book involves time travel, an orb with a message, seashells, love, and secret government projects. It is a fascinating book."
Booklove - Review
"The book, Crossing In Time was a one sit read for me with intriguing and captivating characters, unique, thrilling and original plot and a hooking prose . A perfect read for every Sci-Fi and romance lover."
