summary: after yn and their ex break up, they carry on as best they can and no on had any idea how bad they were struggling

notes: george is in this but he does not drive for mercedes, yn does. i also used a mixture of fem and masc pictures because i couldnt decide and thought you could just imagine whatever you wish!!

And you do the lights or whatever and the characters are litterally there and have you met the actors? Do u interact with them?? Is the magic of the show ruined for you because you see them go in and out of character???? Does it give you a different perspective on the show? im a digital utility (/addt'l 2nd AC), so unless im covering one of the 2nds, i basically just set up all the teradek receivers/monitors so the directors, the DP, and the makeup dept can see wats happening on set without having to be on set (i change A Lot of batteries too)

and ykno, as far as the magic goes, the show had alredy sort of...stopped being as intense of an obsession for me as it used to be b4 i got the job on set, so it ended up being a somewhat natural shift once i got to see behind the curtain

like, dont get me wrong, i still have Mental Issues lmao, i am still not normal abt it, but it used to be so so so much worse nd th show rly consumed basically 100% of my headspace almost nonstop

so because i had kinda wound down b4 getting to work on set, it like...? it revived my love ig? but n a new way, w a new outlook that im happy to have. like, theres ben a change in energy n th past couple seasons anyways, so its felt p normal stepping into it in a new way too

that being said, i will just drop some old tags here:

I dont make personal posts but i have to scream to my lil diary of shitposts about the phone call i just received. To my 5 followers who are real, im sorry for the real life update, and to my 1500 porn bots hot damn.

Anywho, i used to work for the dmv in a contractor office and was damn good at my job. I was so good that even tho i have only met one of them before, the local office manager, they all knew my name. Idk whether to be happy or scared even months later bc if it was in a bad way my contract went up in flames, and as the only office able to print car titles on demand besides hq proper, i would have many angry dealers on my hands. I also stole their 2nd best employee to work for me so theres that. I quit my job bc being salary sucks ass when your wage to hours work diddles down to something far below min wage and even a customer looked at me and asked jokingly if i was gonna kms after my shift. So thats fun.

5 months later and yall will not believe, my 8th ranked bestie in the state office just called me on my knees to beg me to work at the local dmv proper in licensing. The noise he made when i asked explicitly if xyz was gone. The squeak. The "im not allowed to name names but how do you know those names and know to blame your problems on them" choke. Apparently everyone who made my life hell is out the door and i feel very hm. The person who nearly sent my old joanns work bestie come bestie bestie is still there but hm. The whole clique has been broken up but now i gotta ask around to make sure. Like god damn. AND HE OFFERED TO BE A REF FOR IF I CHANGE STATES.

oooh!!! honestly i love all the rm side characters -- and by that i mean like...75% of the characters in south park because for some reason i decided to put like all of them in rm, which is such a nightmare smh.

but hmmmmm....okay. so there's a kyle-centric side plot i really like in rm that shows up pretty soon ( that's why i'm not that worried about talking about it ) that is basically sort of kyle's legally blonde / righteously readhead moment where kyle's crimina laur professor AKA mr. motherfucking mackey, Babey! puts out this batshit insane, hard ass, ball-busting, literally Impossible To Pass midterm from hell, mmkay? and the 4 students that score the highest on the exam get to work with him on a pro-bono real life case out there in the world.

& the students that score the highest, better known as Jersey's Lawyer Core Four, ( yes, theyre a ragtag group of misfits, no they do not work well together/like each other v much at first ) are as follows:

kyle broflovski, heidi turner, tolkien black...

...and clyde donovan LKSHDSSKDHSD

( more on the sillies below...theyre jst Concepts atm but here! <3 )

now, back to clyde who....Sigh....

...everyone assumes got chosen because clyde's father essentially runs the university and his mother was a Crazy Talented Lawyer Lady who became the world's youngest supreme court justice before she passed -- i want to say clyde either indirectly caused/was present when she died and his father never forgave him/resented him for it...

but uhhhhh actually he just filled in the scantron in the shape of a Dinosaur and scored ONE POINT HIGHER THAN KYLE....do u know how MAD kyle was??? ohhhmg he was like yOU MUSTVE CHEATED YOU DONT DESERVE TO BE HERE U FUCKEN HALFWIT kyle is about to strangle clyde during the entire fanfiction smh i love the lawyer side plot so much hes like constantly running from kyle oof

but yeah thats clyde...he is the Big Man on Campus. hes kind of frat boy obnoxious like id call him a himbo but hes a chad tbh...HES GOT A GOOD HEART THO!!! he Means Well hes just suuuch a fkn disaster.

also i talk about him in a different ask ( someone asked me abt lesbian bebe! <3 ) but clyde has been in 'love' with bebe like his whole life and the running gag is he keeps trying to ask her out and has struck out Every Single Time its so funny help i luv him hes so LAME like clyde pls stop flexing she doesnt Want u!! shdjksd HE CRIES A LOT...clyde & ravenstan collab when oh my god...which tbh i do not think clyde likes cd but he respects their ability to pick up girls smh...

( also note: clydes a bicon but he does Not kno that yet...pray 4 him )

AND i actually think hes a REALLY GOOD lawyer!!! he has his moms passion and innate ability! but hes a disorganized mess and no one thinks that the can do it so he psyches himself out a lot...but hes gonna Shock Us All! HES A SLOW BURN OKAY!!! I BELIEVE IN YOU CLYDESDALE ) hes also craigs super best friend...no1 gets it. theyre brothers/soul bonded. like they are a truly iconique duo, tbh.

so uhhhh heidi works at grounded with kyle!!! i dont have her fleshed out but obvi she is our environmental law erin brockovich crunchy granola queen. her hair goes down to her ass...always smoking that grass...she is pagan, very good friends with tweek ( witchy legends ), she wears a lot of big funky statement jewelry, v sweet, v shy, but is at every single campus protest, lesbian but uh...cant talk to girls...

particularly one girl...with cool dyed red hair and a really cool sternum tattoo...who bartends at the lesbian bar and sometimes plays really kick ass indie rock music/is currently tryin to make it big like crimson dawn...possibly half peruvian and cousins w/craig. anyways! heidi is very lovely and kyle actually likes her very much because she lowkey reminds him of stan and marjorine combined into one person so he is very scary older brother overprotective of her bc shes his baby gay law student little sister and a strong breeze will blow her over....smh.

and finally, tolkien black is in a similar boat as kyle where there was a lot of pressure for him to fall into a certain profession but i think that tolkiens dad in the rm verse was like a very famous director and his mom was also involved in acting/film industry ( i think he may actually know raven/co. bc his dad helped direct their music vids ). tldr; tolkiens family is v affluent, indulgent and Rich Rich. like richer than fkn god like i think he was delivered on a yacht tbh. That RICH.

and tolkien was supposed to just fall into that role of acting...but has no interest in following in his parents footsteps/using them to make a name for himself or pretending to be someone hes not for that matter ( and just to pay homage to the show, i might have it so he changed his name from token to tolkien bc token was vapid ) and wanted to become a lawyer bc hes passionate abt pro-bono cases, specifically public defending/helping people who don't have help.

he has a very generous and gorgeous soul, the inside matches the outside tbh...him and kyle dress the best ( heidi is very light, airy, flowy shirts & long skirts, clyde is sloppy frat boy outfits/backwards hat/reps his fraternity [ hes president ], tolkien is kind of chill, casual, understated ( he also has dreads hes so fine ) not flashy but sort of effortlessly put together and kyle is giving crazy dead 1920s evil dark academia tired classics professor realness...hes so hot pls i luv him DREAM TEAM...NIGHTMARE FROM HELL TEAM IF U WILL!!! )

clyde and tolkien also clash and argue a lot in rm/hate each other p much. which uh, in my fanfiction, is v interesting...thats all imma say.

but yeah!!!!! jersey justice lgbt lawyer law student odd squad rise!!!!!

So like I love how everyone expected them to not get well w each other yk like people THOUGHT they would be on each others throats, and nando would commit warcrimes against lance etc etc(Especially after last years Austin incident yeahh....)WHILE they were actually ALREADY on good terms in 2021(the recent gifs that showed lance being like a teenager w crush ykyky)(plus I do remember photos of them interacting just casually) and before that yk when nando congratulated lance on his first podium in baku(which I'll never get out of my head gladly)

And like NOW they are also so well w each other ESPECIALLY now that they are teammates. And its NICE and they are COMFY plus WHAT HAPPENED IM BAHRAIN OFC. And now wih nando casually making lance photos..they are so comfortable. Like aughh.

Thats all I guess please add anything you have in mind aswell 😭😭

Well I think it's funny because, as you mentioned, one of the only pre-2023 moments of strollonso I remember distinctly is when they had the collision during the US gp 😭 and I feel like everyone saw that and were like "oh god Nando is gonna kill him when they're teammates", and then a similar situation kinda happened again at the very first gp when Lance hit the back of Nando but when Nando found out, he's just like "okay :)"

I wonder though sometimes what they'd be like if the AMR23 was like the prev one. Because I do think Nando does actually like Lance, but also I don't think you can deny that Nando's podiums are indeed a buffer. Kinda like him being like "anything you can do to me is literally nothing because I have a great car and I'm doing better than I have in years", like bro is on top of the world after so long, and it feels like he's gotten a second wind where nothing can really touch him or bother him.

I hate how everyone uses that "Lance is the owner's son, so of course Fernando will treat him nicely" argument. Like yeah that's a factor, but I feel like I see it more as Nando appreciating Lance bcs he factors into why Nando has a good car and a good team in the first place. I think tho my fav strollonso plot line is Nando being like "ugh ill put up w him I guess", but then he ends up having such a good car and finds out in the process that Lance is more than he ever considered(like in this fic ) And also the narrative of Nando being a very different, supportive teammate as compared to most other Lance has had. I like that they probably came into being teammates with certain assumptions, but now look at how comfy they are with each other!! Enough to tease each other is such public ways, like Lance saying certain things in interviews and Nando with his socmed. It's very fun!

BUT YEAH OH MY GOD THAT CLIP OF THEM WITH LANCE BEING SO TOUCHY AND SHOVEY WITH HIM!!!! people need to look back at older clips like that and the others you mentioned before they make assumptions about why they are the way they are >:(

people really need to watch movies outside of hollywood. not every movie needs to have a big satisfying ending where everything is answered and you have no questions. sometimes a movie is more about what happens instead of the end

#personal shizz #so i watched leave the world behind #it was all right #i felt some of the dialogue was stilted in some places #like a lot of 'i didnt like you before but i like you now' and #'we dont agree but this time i agree with you'#like we kno these characters dont get along you dont need to actually tell us #but other than that i think it was interesting #people are upset tho cause of the ending #'they dont spell out exactly how the world is ending and we dont see them reunite #even tho theyr all heading in the same place anyways n all of them r more or less ok. wah wah'#like. idk maybe the point of the movie was how easy it is to be distrusting towards others to the point of self sabotage #and not 'ok but who REALLY is behind this'#anyways. very good acting. the camera work is very nice #always love to see a movie that knows it doesnt have to be still for every single scene n can get funky with it #its not a masterpiece but it is. all right #certainly not a complete waste of 2+ hours i can think of so many movies that are ACTUALLY that #some of these reviews tho man...#'theres no character development' they literally beat u over the head w the character development #see my point about the dialogue #also 'was waiting for it to start but then it finished' WHAT DO U MEAN #it literally 'started' with the fucking boat. what kind of start were you expecting #actual nuclear war ??????#ok i was joking but i really do think thats what these people were expecting #'isnt this about the world ending wheres the complete and utter destruction i was promised'#iv just.. never seen so many audience reviews where the point has completely flown over their heads #so once again i am saying ... watch more non-hollywood movies #watch less blockbusters mayhaps #watch an actual indie movie every once and a while #not that this is an indie movie
