Remus Lupin was sitting on his bed in sixth year, a pencil tapping on his chin. He heard shouting in the common room, most likely is friend, James Potter, and his crush, Sirius Black. Sirius was the one person he could never take his eyes off of. from the moment Remus met him, he was drawn to him. He only recently figured out what those feelings meant. He also recently figured out Sirius would most likely never feel the same.

He heard the yelling stall, and heavy, thundering footsteps up the stairs. Sirius burst through the door and look at Remus. They stood, staring and each other for about 10 seconds, before Remus said “Can I help you?”

Sirius, out of breath, walked over to him and sat by Remus. “Remus I have to tell you something. Please don’t get mad at me.”

Remus furrowed his eyebrows. “Okay?”

“I think i’m in love with you.” Sirius said.

Remus let out a surprised laugh. “you’re what?”

Sirius pouted, his lips curling down. “It’s not funny. I- Nevermind. Forget I said anything.” Sirius got up from the bed, face red like he was about to cry.

Remus grabbed his wrist and pulled him down into his lap. “Moony I don’t need pity.”

Remus laughed again, harder. He rested his head on Sirius’s chest where Sirius was straddling him.

“It’s not funny!” Sirius huffed defiantly. He tried to get up again, but Remus held him down.

“You’re funny.” Remus laughed, wrapping his arms around Sirius’s waist. He pulled Sirius onto his lap a bit more. Remus hovered close to Sirius’s face before leaning in and softly pressing his lips to Sirius’.

“I am not funny.” Sirius grumbled softly after Remus detached his lips.

Remus kissed Sirius’s face and mumbled “Youre pretty funny to me. and very pretty.”

Sirius didn’t mean to, really, he didn’t. He didn’t intentionally go to find Remus’s diary. He was looking for his favorite t-shirt he left in Remus’s bed last time they slept in the same bed together. He had gotten hot mid sleep and torn it off. But then, Curiosity got ahold of him. He opened up the diary and…nothing. Sirius began feeling extremely confused because he’d seen Remus write in it almost every night.

He racked his brain for the spell to make it appear. “Aparecium.” Sirius spoke softly, touching the tip of his wand to the parchment. Words flooded the page. He started on the first page, Reading on.

‘James has been a prat today. He knows. Of course he knows. James know everything about everyone. He keeps urging me to tell him, but I just can’t. He’ll never speak to me again. James tells me I don’t know that, but I do. He, in all of his leather jacket, long black hair biker glory, would like me. A werewolf. Funny joke, am I right? Sirius is gorgeous. I’m me. He’s funny, he’s smart, he’s everything you could ever want. He’s everything a girl could want. Because of course, not only could he just not like me, but of course he has to be straight as well. Someone’s got it out for me.’

The dorm room opened, and Remus walked in. He placed his jumper of the chair, and turned around to his bed, where Sirius was sitting with Remus’s diary open on his lap.

Remus’s mouth dropped open, and betrayal flickered in his eyes. “Sirius?” Sirius closed the diary and walked over to Remus.

Remus took steps back, pressing his back against the door. “Look, Sirius i’m sorry but I can just change dorms.”

Sirius walked closer to him, and Remus drew his wand. Sirius felt his heart pang at the fact that Remus thought Sirius was going to hurt him, just because of his sexuality. Sirius, who had been in love with Remus since the first moment he’d seen him. Hurt him? He’d never.

Sirius put his hand on the wand, bringing it down. This was the first time he’d seen Remus look so frightened. Even when Sirius found out he was a werewolf, he hadn’t looked like this.

Sirius stepped into his arms and let out a little sob. “Sirius?” Remus inquired, wrapping his arms around Sirius hesitantly. Sirius sobbed into his chest.

“Rem i’m so sorry.” Sirius said between sobs and sniffles.

“For?” Remus asked curiously.

“For not showing you that I didn’t care about your sexuality. For not showing you that i’m in love with you better.”

“You’re what?”

Sirius lifted his head off of his chest and pressed his lips to Remus’s.
