Zosan modern au where they immediately hate each other's guts cause they meet through Nami.
Zoro has known her for years, their friendship is almost as old as his and Luffy's. He was right there with her through her big gay crisis and she was there for his. Even if they fight each other, or when they threaten to kill each other, she's his ride or die. They decided to start fighting professionally around the same time, too. Though Nami gave up her title to become Luffy and Zoro's manager (more money that way).
Sanji doesn't meet her until college, but still, it's been a good few years. They met in a gay bar when Sanji hit on her. He'd been all dolled up in drag for a show and Nami really almost took him home until they started talking and Sanji said he was a man. They laughed off the misunderstanding and eventually swapped numbers at the end of the night.
Surprisingly, they've haven't been formally introduced to one another or even run into each other in the whole four years since Nami first met Sanji. And with good reason, Nami, and the rest of the people who know the two of them, have agreed it would only end in attempted (probably successful) assault. The only thing they'd have in common is how quick they are to fight. They'd clash so horribly.
Zoro has grown up around women his whole life, and the one who trained him taught him the weak are the weak and the strong are the strong, regardless of gender. He doesn't treat Nami differently just cause she has boobs and a pretty face (his words) and he hates when men talk down to her just cause they see her as weak.
Sanji, on the other hand, grew up knowing only two women in his life. His father was the type of man who believed they should be seen and not heard, and even though he knew that wasn't true it was all he heard in the time he spent around them. After Zeff took him in the only experience he got with women were the costumers and chefs he'd met through the Baratie. Zeff's opinion on women was drastically different, but no less misogynistic. And even though now Nami and Robin correct him on it, he still can't help putting them on a pedestal. He still sees them as more valuable then himself, and he'd never say anything rude, much less hit a women for any reason.
Which is why Nami has forbidden them to ever meet.
Unfortunately, that has to change after she proposes to Vivi. Because Vivi has befriended them and is very adamant that they both not only attend the wedding, but be apart of the wedding party as well.

Prompt 174
Despite what people complain and snark about, Bruce does in fact have contingency plans for pretty much everything. And while he doesn’t have an exact contingency for Jason apparently accidentally kidnapping the apparently prince of the Realms- some infinite space where the dead resided according to Zatanna and Constantine, he’ll have an existential crisis about it later thanks- he did have one for his kids accidentally kidnapping someone.
He just doesn’t think that exact plan will work in this case, seeing as that plan had to do with civilians and not very large kings that could obliterate the entire world with a hand wave, nevermind the fact that they have so many armies. Not to mention what is apparently both the king’s second-in-command and brother.
Well, if none of his usual contingencies won’t work and Constantine’s attempts at making a deal isn’t working, nor is the other’s attempts to talk the two down, then it’s plan Z time. Seduction it is.

Fuck whatever DC is doing with the al Ghul's characterizations and story lines, I've decided that from now on the al Ghul's are gonna be DC's version of the Addams Family instead.
Now I don't mean just give the various al Ghul's the exact personalities of the various Addams and call it a day. That's boring, that erases all the interesting parts of the al Ghuls, that's just using "find & replace" and not actually adding anything. I mean give them the vibes of the Addams Family.
Keep the al Ghul's as the al Ghul's with all their scheming and machinations and world domination attempts but give them all the unhinged energy, the casually insane view of the world, the deranged levels of love and devotion for family. Make them that group where objectively they are batshit insane but also you cannot argue with the fact that they are indisputably the most stable and functional family in the entire universe.
They're creepy, they're kooky, they're mysterious and spooky. Ra's many opulent homes and impenetrable fortresses are a museum and the al Ghul's really are a screa-um whenever people come to see-um (or when they lay waste upon their enemies in a surprise attack that has been planned for months and is just the first domino in a series that will ultimately lead to achieving a far greater goal).
They all love each other and want each other to be happy, they express this primarily with stabbing and murder attempts (its fine, death is a thing that happens to other people).
And forget the League of Assassins being a cult. Just make the whole vast globe spanning organization a collection of cousins/aunts/uncles/dear old friends ect. No one (not even the al Ghuls, if they cared to keep track of such things) is sure who is actually related to them and who just got absorbed into the ever expanding family tree based on their vibes being right.
(Is Sensei Ra's father you ask? Well he's certainly someone's father - probably.
Anyway have you heard about Cousin Cheshire? Despicable poisoner of a young woman, capable of the most horrific things imaginable - yes she is the sweetest dear. Like I was saying though, she just had a baby!
Everyone in the family is just so excited to throw a baby shower to celebrate! Ubu has really gone all out with the spike traps, he does so love getting to welcome a new addition to the family.
Talia of course has cultivated a brand new strain of the most toxic plants imaginable to make a brand new kind of necrotizing poison. You know, as a nice little romantic gift for Cousin Cheshire and that young man of hers. It really is so important to make sure you take time for you and your partner to go on dates and have a few pitched battles to the death on dark rooftops in the pounding rain when you have children.
Now there is some to-do about it all of course, you know how family get together can be. Everyone is arguing over who should get to give little Lian her first weapon and what it should be. Nyssa is pushing for grenades but Ra's is insisting on a sword - he's traditional like that you know - but Dusan has the vote so far on throwing knives. You know the kind that have the little divots along the edges of the blades them to make it easier to get the poison you dip them in to stick.)
I'm just saying that the al Ghuls should be a delightful cross between the Bond Villains they were originally conceived as and the lovingly unhinged Addams Family. It just feels correct in my heart.
(Again keep the interesting aspects of the characters and the nuances of who each of them are like their drive to save the world through destroying humanity and their strong environmentalist leanings and their constantly playing 5D chess and everything, but like, take away the racism and the cartoonishly evil for no reason bullshit and give them some fun feral energy to go along with it).

Reading spoilers for servamp chapter 140 from japanese fans on twitter and
Apparently otogiri is johannes' sister? Wild. Guess it makes sense though, they both have the same hair color. Wasn't the guy who negotiated with kuro when C3 kidnapped them his cousin too? Or did I just imagine that. Servamp really is just one huge family conflict, isn't it. Even the servamps and C3 can be seen as being related because they are two different kinds of descendants of the count.
Otogiri's human name might have been gretel? Johannes character is based on heinrich/johann faust(us), a scientist who made a deal with the devil and eventually gets a young woman named gretchen pregnant. The name johann is similar to the name hansel and gretel and gretchen are also similar, so I guess the two are linked to both the fairytale hansel and gretel and to faust by johann wolfgang von goethe.
Apparently we get more about higan's and berukias backstories too.
Also for a reason I don't quite understand yet the 13 places that mikuni's clones are at seem to be the same 13 places that were bombed by tsubaki early on in the story that all had ties to C3, which explains why the clone sakuya met was staying at mahiru's bombed school and I guess that also makes it easier to locate all the clones. Not sure if misono is talking to a clone or the real mikuni, but apparently they get into another chess game with misono playing white and mikuni playing black. After winning against his father and outwitting lily to end the game misono will have to prove that he finally has what it takes to win against his genius older brother in chess too.

sometimes i wonder who could win in a fair fight, before. before the prison and before dream started burning the candle at both ends "experimenting" w vik and lazer, before sapnap secretly hasnt trained in weeks bc he cant bear to get himself to train when he knows full well that the next time he'll be in a fight he'll have his brother at the end of his sword.
when they were friends still, when they knew each other better than themselves. when they never really fought with heart in it, with real intent to hurt, pulling their swords back before someone could really get hurt. if back then, they'd fought fairly, a match purely skill, would dream have won, two years older and so much smarter, the one who taught sapnap to fight in the first place and still trains more, strokes sharp and vicious on the training dummy in a way sapnap cant really capture when he tries it secretly, alone when he knows dream wont see it. or would sapnap be better if they fought, purely, to the death to victory, with no inhibitions on the man boy at the end of his sword, without the careful way he'd pull back his blade to keep from hurting his best friend that came almost like instinct to him, no matter how hard he tries to pull it back to win for once when they had friendly spars. he's always been quicker than dream, stronger, even if he wasnt quite as adept, as perfectly honed, practiced in technique that sapnap really never had the patience for.
or would they be perfectly matched. would sapnaps strength, his natural quickness, exactly match dreams training, his strategy, every technique hes spent years perfecting to stay on top as sapnap grew, got stronger and better just behind him. would they stalemate, blades clashing late into the night. until one collapsed, unable to keep going, the victor heaving, exhausted, and alone.
