Today was gluing day and I wish I could say it was a nice clean fit but not everything goes to plan. He had a bulge appeared where I glued the belly so the glue has a reaction with the PLA which shouldn't of happened but I changed the glue and sanded some spots and now he's all together. Tomorrow I will need to patch some gapes then he's ready for painting! Do you have any paint schemes or suggestions for this guy? Let me know.

RETURN TO THE LOST WORLD
(This is a short(ish?) story I am working on, a sequel to Michael Crichton's second JP novel, The Lost World. Basic premise is that Levine and Malcolm are returning to the island by themselves. Sort of coming up with the plot as I go.)
APARTMENT
BEEP--BEEP--BEEP-- The alarm sounded. A startled bird flew off, making a short ruckus outside the window. A hand emerged from under the covers, fumbling absently for the source of the loud noise. BEEP--BEEP-- Richard Levine found the button, turned off his digital alarm. He rolled over to look up at the idle ceiling fan, stretching his arms out. He'd thought about waking early this morning, considering his plans for the day. But no, he'd decided, the morning routine would do fine as always.
Getting out of bed, he straightened the sheets before going over to the dresser. Inside, various socks, arranged by color. He selected the grey ones, set them on the bed. Then a red shirt, khaki pants, black leather boots. He began to think as he put them on, his studies from the previous night reentering his mind. Predator-prey relations, crepuscular activities of modern animals. Coming into the dining room, he saw Romelia had prepared breakfast as always. Poached eggs, herb-baked potatoes, steaming early grey tea. He sat down to eat, continuing his thoughts. A crow landed on a branch outside his window. He noticed the scaled legs, the sharp claws. A fitting visit for a day like this, he mused over a sip of tea. Finishing and setting the plate aside, he picked up a book from the end table. The Fauna of East Africa. A helpful recommendation of Sarah Harding's. No sooner than he opened to the page he'd left off on, the phone rang. Sighing, he set the book down, picked up the receiver. "Levine." A familiar voice answered. "Good morning Richard. Ready for our flight this afternoon?" It was Ian Malcolm. Wonderful sense of timing as always. Levine glanced at the antique grandfather clock in the corner. "At seven o'clock in the morning, I suppose so. Our flight to Costa Rica doesn't leave for another seven and a half hours." "Don't forget," Malcolm chided, "we have to go over the final details with Doctor Thorne at nine." Levine hid his annoyance from his voice. "I'm not senile. Of course I remember. I'll be there." He paused. "It's a shame Sarah didn't want to accompany us this time. I'd love to hear her perspectives on the predator-prey relations we're to study." Malcolm chuckled. "I think Sarah is satisfied that mammals are her area, after her last visit." Levine sighed. "I'm sure you're right. A smaller team is probably for the best, this time. By the way is there any more word on Costa Rica's search for the source of the aberrant forms?" "Not directly. But recently there seems to be a sudden hush-hush on the subject. I'm fearing the worst; they may be planning something." "Hmm. A disturbing development. I suppose our expedition to Isla Sorna is well-timed, then." "Seems that way. Well, I have some things to finish up. See you at the garage." "See you there." Levine hung up, reflected a moment. It was unfortunate to be in a rush on such a sensitive matter. The study of these animals deserved time and patience, not a race against a second possible extinction. But then, he should be happy to have the chance at all. The video feeds from InGen's outdoor cameras were really a poor vantage from which to study what was probably the world's only extant population of Dinosauria.
Levine opened his book again and began to read. Just as he reached an explanation for male lions domining over multiple prides, the phone rang again. With a sigh of frustration, he set the book down and picked up the phone again. "Eh-hem. Levine here." "It's Thorne. How's your morning?" "Well. It would be fine, if my phone were not constantly interrupting my attempts to finish The Fauna of East Africa before leaving my apartment for two weeks. What is so pressing that it can't wait until my arrival this morning?" "Nothing major. Just that there are a few more details to go over with you and Ian than I thought. I'd like the two of you to come over at eight-thirty, if it's not too much trouble." Levine sighed. "I suppose that's fine. At this rate I might as well bring the book on the plane. I'll see you at eight-thirty, then." "Thanks, Richard." Thorne hung up.
* * *
As Levine prepared to leave, he gazed at the corkboard on his wall. Much of it was as he'd left it before his first visit to the island. Hints about a lost world and the whereabouts of Site B. There were of course some additions; aberrant forms had continued to wash ashore in Costa Rica and elsewhere, which he'd made sure to keep tabs on. The radio tag he'd sent to Malcolm rested in a plastic baggie, also pinned to the board. Most notable though was an article he'd found online, detailing Costa Rica's continued closure of offshore islands to tourists, with the strange note that their re-opening was expected in under a year. It troubled Levine more than he was willing to admit. He'd been relieved to be successful in procuring permission for a helicopter flight to the island, okayed on the basis of having research purposes, even though he and Ian had later decided to hire a private boat instead. After thinking a moment, he unpinned the article from the board to bring it with him and show it to Malcolm. He grabbed his suitcase, his new safari jacket, his hat, and left to drive his Ferrari to Thorne's garage.

🦕 Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Jurassic Park / Jurassic World film series! 🦖 I know there's still few months until the official release date of the first film but that didn't stop Disney/20th Century Studios with Titanic 25th Anniversary theatrical re-release and it does not certainly stop me. Jurassic Park is the most important film to me in the world with The Lord of the Rings trilogy and even though many of you might hate the sequels, I don't actually. I recognize the problems in them but I also see lot of good in them. #jurassicpark #jurassicworld #30thanniversary #bluray #4k #thelostworld #movie #film #cinema #elokuva #leffa #dinosaur #universalpictures #stevenspielberg #colintrevorrow #jabayona #joejohnston #samneil #lauradern #jeffgoldblum #chrispratt #brycedallashoward #bluraycollection #moviecollection #bluraycollector #blurayaddict #tyrannosaurusrex #trex #johnwilliams https://www.instagram.com/p/ComfoBMND-i/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Hammond Script: Site B Layout
Over the years, the TresCom community has come into possession of various documents used by the Trespasser developers. Among these are scripts of voiceover lines, which were read by their respective voice actors. The Hammond Script, fouhnd by Scallenger, includes various lower-priority lines not recorded by DWI. They give further insight into plans for the game, including how Site B was to be laid out.
Tumblr media
When InGen was first setting out to establish where they would carry out the work to create Jurassic Park on their other island, they surveyed various possible locations.
In early 1980 I surveyed a number of small islands in the Caribbean and Pacific. As I peered from the window of a survey plane, Isla Sorna came into view, untouched since the Spanish Colonial era. Isla Sorna. Costa Rica lay to the east, a quiet neighbor. To the west, open water and the shipping lanes of the Pacific. The southern beach looked out over trackless ocean. Down past Peru, all the way to Antarctica.
Then, their first priority was to establish communication with the mainland and Palo Alto. They used the highest location available -- the summit of Mt Watson, a dormant volcano.
A few weeks after we first landed, we went to the summit to put up a crude satellite link. We went by helicopter. Young technicians scrambled to set up the dish as the wind howled. High-speed uplink...state of the art. The mountaintop uplink was vital to our operations. To maintain it, we blasted a road winding clockwise up the eastern face.
John Hammond's dream was intense. He set out to have built not only laboratory and support facilities, but on-site residences as well. Constructions spread out from the center of the island.
Tumblr media
We built our main buildings inland, to hide the extent of our operation. We began the secondary roads and walls. From our first encampment, the complex spread out in great circles or waves. The residential protective wall was a Site B institution. As it was under constant observation, it was a prized target for graffiti artists. The first trees fell. Meter by meter, we pushed our way through the jungle.
Some of Site B's security set-up, as fouhnd in the script, did not make it into the game itself. The fewer-than-described concrete walls were said to be accompanied by video surveilance, sismic sensors for heavy dinosaur footfall, and the like.
Our preparations were exhaustive: concrete moats; seismic sensors; 24-hour guard; electrical fencing, video monitors...
The town, called Burroughs after the famous author, had four gates about its perimeter. The North Gate, beside where Anne enters, leads out into the dirt road of IJ3. The West Gate, in the southwest corner, would have connected to the monorail and another terminus. The South Gate, in the southeast corner and inaccessible in the release of the game, led to the lowlands of the south, possibly to areas of planned future facilities. And the East Gate went out into the planes.
We sealed off the town, save for a few crucial gates -- southward to the lowlands, eastward to the power plant and laboratory. We sealed the Eastern Gate for the last time. Gazing from my study window, I hit on a simple mnemonic for the passcode. Like Nedry, I felt I needed to keep a back door open. We drove east with a heavy escort, in a light rain -- no one felt safe in on the planes anymore.
Hammond's facilities spread out, and on the northwestern shore, a harbor was built, for bringing in and transporting out supplies for the island. Pre-release imagery and object names indicate a railroad was meant to service the location, though no voiceovers point to it.
The main harbor for Site B. The docks were the lifeblood of Site B. Amber, synthetic eggshell, and livestock came from all over the Pacific Rim. InGen reception. I had planned that someday visitors - scientists and politicians - would be welcomed here.
Also on the northwestern shoreline was the geothermal power plant. A paved road stretched from the town through Pine Valley to the plant and docks, and other locations, unifying the north reaches of Site B.
The power station was situated on the western coast, residences were southeast and inland. A passcode let us control access to the valley and the power station beyond.
The geothermal power was routed to these locations by immense power pylons, whose exact paths varied depending on the version of the game. The voiceovers place these running south to the town via the plains, but were later run through the IJ3 valley instead. Possibly these would one day have been extended to reach the hotel in the south.
The pylons ran for kilometers, one every hundred meters or so. I built them to last. Running east from the plant, they climbed the valley, before descending south into the plains.
InGen had apparently planned on no less than five dams, to control waterways throughout Isla Sorna. All versions of the game feature only one was completed; where the four others were to be placed, we have no indication. An Isla Sorna better reflecting all Hammond's lines might appear quite different.
The third dam in a planned system of five, which would have regulated the flow of water throughout the island. The only one ever built.
Hammond's plans for the island were thorough, though incomplete by the time of the evacuation. Aside additional dams and whatever other support facilities he may have had in mind, he began construction of a hotel in the south. At such great distance from the north and central facilities, it was necessary to build a connecting mode of transportation. It's not clear if other facilities would sprout up later along its route.
1988. Workers from the mainland were pouring concrete supports, for a rail system running north to the settlement.
Curving up out of the southern basin, the Atherton Causeway would bring visiting scientists north from the southern beach.
The hotel itself was to be built along the far edge of the southern basin. All level versions feature a cliffside at this location, however the InGen advertisement billboard shows the building extending out over a sandy beach. Hammond imagined the facilities of Site B being open to the appropriate public audience once his secretive activities had been revealed.
May, 1989. We began teh foundations on the south beach for a hotel for visitiing scientists and businessmen. A year hence, I thought, the island would be quite famous.
Ultimately, Hammond's dream was never fully realized, on Nublar or Sorna. The combination of hurricane and bankruptcy was too much to recover from, the theme park itself being found too dangerous. He and the rest of the island's staff had no choice but to leave, leaving behind an island full of buildings and support facilities doomed to reclemation by the jungle, forest, and ancient species.
On the last day, I stood apart from the rest of them. The helicopters were setting down. Before me the jungle spread out, and I saw that a savage, primal age had begun again.
