Antes disto a Walt Disney Pictures lançou outros 4 filmes de animação: Pinóquio (1940), Fantasia (1940), O Dragão Relutante (1941) e Dumbo (1941). 🎬 Durante o desenvolvimento de Bambi a Comissão de Desenvolvimento do Maine enviou aos estúdios Disney dois cervos, batizados de Bambi e Faline, para que os artistas do estúdio pudessem estudar seus movimentos e comportamento. O mesmo ocorreu com outros animais retratados no filme, que ficaram alojados em um zoológico. 🎬 Algumas cenas de animais e do fogo da floresta em Bambi foram inicialmente idealizadas para Pinóquio, mas não foram incluídas no filme, sendo reaproveitadas nessa produção. 🎬 O orçamento de Bambi foi de US$ 2 milhões.
