main verse updates, developments, & additional headcanons

ㅤthanks to lena practically dragging them into it, byan is on the track team that she coaches at school. though they initially weren't all that interested, it's something they've come to enjoy a lot (even if they sometimes have to stop running for a little coughing fit) — they've always enjoyed physical activity, always enjoyed sports, but have never been particularly cooperative when it came to team sports (and always broke rules and got too violent when they'd try martial arts or boxing), so track suits them quite well. they quickly became one of the top performing team members and, though things were certainly rough in the beginning with byan being very abrasive and uninterested in their teammates, they've actually ended up pretty friendly with most of them over the months since they joined.

ㅤalthough they never planned to go to college, having zero interest in continuing in school once they were finally out of the hell of high school, they've come around on it a bit. this is mostly thanks to both lena and sol's encouragement and helping them realize they can go to learn something they actually care about — fashion design. almost entirely because of these two, byan is planning to apply to the local community college and is in the process of building a portfolio of their work for this purpose.

ㅤbecause of this plan, they're slowly becoming a (slightly) better student: attending class more regularly (though still skipping fairly often), paying a bit more attention in class, and even completing and handing in homework. they're actually on track to graduate now rather than flunking out. they may not graduate with flying colours, but it's enough for a diploma and that's all they care about.

ㅤjust because they're doing better doesn't mean that things are perfect, though. they still get discouraged a lot in their struggle with their (still undiagnosed) dyslexia, general inferiority complex, and overall difficulty in the typical school setting. it's not uncommon to hear them ranting about changing their mind about college, see them throw a textbook across the room, or catch them straight up burning their homework out of frustration. if they're feeling particularly awful and discouraged, they have a tendency to disappear for a few days, get themself into even more trouble than usual, get themself into more fights, and numb themself with drugs and/or alcohol. they come back around eventually, but sometimes it takes a bit of coaxing.

ㅤthough they still technically live in the group home, they spend almost no time there anymore, only really stopping by for food or appointments (when they don't blow them off, anyway). most nights they're either crashing on lena's couch or at sol's place, and even most of their belongings have been moved and split between these two locations.

ㅤat this point, the caretakers at the group home have more or less given up on trying to keep an eye on them or expecting any different behaviour from them. they've been in this particular home for several years at this point and, with their eighteenth birthday fast approaching (and with it the time where they'll be unable to stay there any longer), not much point is seen in trying to change anything anymore. byan has always been difficult to keep a handle on, efforts at controlling them to any extent met with aggressive rebellion, and it isn't seen as worth the hassle anymore. at least if they're off doing their own thing all the time, it means they're causing less trouble around the home.

ㅤthe boy they share a room with in the home, si-u, still covers for them a lot of the time, telling the caretakers and staff that oh yeah, byan was totally here last night. byan suspects he mostly does this because he likes having a room to himself, but it results in them being hounded a little less all the same, so they appreciate it.

ㅤof course, just because their future is looking a little less grim doesn't mean that everything has changed. they might have a boyfriend now, might have found themself some actual friends and even some familial figures, but they're still byan. they still love to go out and get themself into trouble, still love to fight, steal, and cause havoc for others, and still have a tendency to get themself in over their head or disappear without warning when their ptsd acts up. things are looking up and they might be feeling more fulfilled but, when it comes down to it, they're still them, and they still have a long way to go.

Who the heck are my muses anyway:

He's a little shit that causes problems and pisses people off for the heck of it. A bit of an edgelord (is that an understatement?), rude, vulgar, and extremely tough to crack if you want him in friendlier stages. Good luck. He's not going to make it easy for you.

Points of interest:

He has various verses, some things may change depending on what verse things are in. Details in his design are important and have stories behind them. In his main verses, he has extra strengthened abilities and a little extra chaotic surprise, sometimes. He has a lot of anger issues and is really shit at dealing with other emotions, often turning them into anger, too, because he doesn't know how else to handle things. He likes to think of himself as a villain, but really he's more like an anti-hero. And he's got a whole revenge case he's trying to deal out. He's got some emotional issues that he refuses to talk about, and others he will just spill because he likes to talk about himself. And he's got trust issues.

What they’ve been up to recently:

Well, this varies for people and verses. Things won't be following the same paths for everyone he interacts with. In in his main f.c5 verse, he somehow got himself in a position where he's gotta help protect the Seeds, because of the relationship he ended up in with Jacob. Everything in the B.L verses kinda got put on hold, but these days its after his Arena fell. A vampire verse, in the f.c5 land, has been distressing him. Bloody City (original) verse is getting more developments lately (yeehaw). Depends on what version you wanna deal with, really.

Where to find them:

In general modern times, usually Chicago. In the borderlands, usually Pandora. In F.C3, on Rook Islands, hanging with the pirates. In F.C5, Hope County, usually in Jacob's region. Frontier, the pirate is in Montreal in the company of Mr. Grant and Mr. Pond.

Plans? What are plans? We'll have to see what unfolds. Anything could happen.

Desired interactions:

Enemies to awkward found family member, enemies/rivals, slow burns of any kind of relationship (because its almost always a slow burn with him), helping him learn to cook maybe? Uh, do you like problematic little shits? Do you like conflict? Stories are boring without conflict, after all. And it makes the good times so much more worth it, you know? I've recently graduated from uni and started to work, and this is what I've discovered so far: I think I'm pretty decent at my chosen job, I fucking hate bureaucracy more than I thought it was possible, and I really need a proper day off.

PLOTTING / WINGING IT / MEMES: I'm very partial to plotting. I like creating long-term storylines, dynamics and arcs / verses. It's important for me to plot at least the general idea for first interactions especially, because it helps me getting an idea of what the other person is looking for.

MULTI OR SINGLE: Definitely multi-muse. I've tried all the possible formats during my time on Tumblr and I find that having a multi-muse is the one that works best for me. It allows me to focus on my main interests as they come and go without hopping blogs or neglecting certain RP partners in favour of others. Plus, I enjoy the variety, so this way I can always have something to write even if I have no inspiration for that one specific muse.

LEAST FAVOURITE FACECLAIM(S):  I don't have one? 🤔 If the muse has a canon FC, I tend to stick to it. Otherwise I either don't bother with finding one or pick it basing myself on physical resemblance. Tbh, I'm so very NOT up-to-date with what this or that celebrity / writer / whatnot does, so I have no idea of who the "problematic FCs" are supposed to be.

FLUFF: I enjoy fluff...with some moderation. It's usually my go-to, together with crack, when I'm brain-dead or want to write but don't have enough inspiration to come up with something juicy. Though, since very few of my muses can do unprompted fluff, I usually need to have an already established dynamic of sorts to be able to write it.

ANGST:  Angst is definitely my favourite thing to write among these three and one of my faves in general too!

SMUT: I'm not a huge fan of smut and I never write it for the sake of it. Sex scenes have to be part either of a bigger, structured plot or of a well-developed dynamic. Also, they need to add something either to the characters' relationship or to the story. I'm also very selective with the people I agree to write smut with, because I'm very picky about how it's written. I tend to get bored with it real quickly if it doesn't meet my criteria xD

re: lydia + the teen wolf movie. i'll have a verse where i oblige with the movie's canon, but as of right now, in lydia's main verse, here are some important things to note about her post-canon:

after graduating, lydia leaves beacon hills and goes to live with her mom in a small town in california (i'm leaning towards sausalito or carmel by the sea). they do this so that lydia can see a therapist and have time to properly heal and process the abuse she suffered in eichen house. also so that they can financially recover from all the hospital visits that lydia had to face throughout the show's canon.

lydia does end up going to uni, but she does not leave the state because they could not afford it (even with her getting scholarships due to her grades). she also has a special permission not to live in the dorms, terrified that she might wake up screaming and become a freak at university too. her years in college are rough and she feels absolutely disconnected from everybody, but she does not know how to create bonds with people who do not know who she is.

her relationship with stiles does not last because they are not in love with each other. they have been, in different points of time, but timing is not on their side. they are, however, best friends and always will be because they are each other's anchors (this is something i have developed with @notsolved throughout the last few years)

lydia ends up choosing to pursue a career in psychology, so that other supernatural people have a chance to talk about their traumas and experiences without ending up in places like eichen or being haunted. she also does it because she wants to help people, since she cannot do it with her powers.

she never properly learns how to tap into her powers. she tries and takes several trips to europe and other places, gets in touch with other families of hunters with chris' help, but there is not a lot of information. she never seeks out other banshees, however, still feeling guilty because of meredith. she also rarely uses her powers again. she does allow herself to tune into the voices (much like in the movie), but her screams/wails and fighting? she is terrified of doing it and killing someone again.

she pushes the pack away because she is always scared of losing the people she loves. which is funny because her biggest fear is being alone but she isolates herself. she is also closer to the younger pack than the older pack by the time she gets her degree, seeing as they all went through college around the same time and it is easier to be friends with them since they didn't see her fail to save her best friend/seeing as she can keep them at arms' length more easily. this is all subject to plotting, however.

she never comes back to beacon hills permanently. the only way she would return is if the pack asked for her help, especially scott. she also visits to see allison's grave. at first, she would go on her birthday, her death anniversary and the holidays. but then it got too hard and too painful so now she goes only once a year. as she grows older, she stops visiting it and chooses to remember allison other places that do not bring her as much pain.

i do not think lydia and jackson would be best friends after everything they went through in season 2. she does love him more than words, but she also knows their relationship was unhealthy and she would keep her distance from him. i could forgive their hug in season 6 because lydia was still young but after that? they do not become best friends. jackson put her through hell and, again, she will always love him because he is her first love, but she also knows they need to go their separate ways. they are civil, however, because she is friendly with ethan (they talk every year on aiden's birthday & death anniversary)

{out of dalmasca} I think it is worth mentioning, since this is something else I've been asked, if Basch becomes romantically involved with someone in his MCU verse (@starcchild or @illbringthechaosmagic or Thor-anon for example) and then Ashelia is also found and revived from a similar magical mishap Basch suffered, he is not going to suddenly dump his ship, heh. To be clear, even though I ship Basch and Ashe and if material from Fortress is included then his feelings for her are canon, Ashelia in canon did not feel the same way about Basch. I write her as having those feelings develop through the course of the events of the main game, but if I were to bring her into a thread where Basch is already shipped with another, I would use canon Ashe. So she would love Basch, but as a friend/mentor and brother/uncle sort of way only.

As far as MCU-Basch is concerned, he never had any intention of ever telling Ashelia how he felt. He viewed his feelings as wrong because he was so much older than her, because his blood is so much more common than hers, and because she never seemed to feel anything romantic for him. So it would have remained just a crush and silent pining. Once he is in a real relationship with someone, he realizes the difference between this love and the sort of idealized, from-a-distance way he loved Ashelia.

Basch would never break things off with a serious girlfriend in favor of Ashelia simply because... she was suddenly there, heh. Once he is in a committed relationship with someone, that's a promise, that's a vow. They may not be married, but Basch takes this commitment very seriously and he will not be unfaithful or discard someone to chase someone else, especially since he knows he can never be with that someone else. But in all honesty, even if Ashelia suddenly did want to be with Basch, he would turn her down, because again, he is already in love with and committed to someone else.

What he will want to do is support Ashelia, comfort her, and help her to adjust to this new world she's in. She's going to go through the same grieving process he did and be very anxious and stressed out just like he was, and so he'd want to help her through all of that. Because they are from the same world/time, lived in the same country, and have a long shared history together, they understandably would stick together a lot. No one else is going to understand their perspectives the way they can for each other.

But Basch would definitely set boundaries so his girlfriend doesn't feel usurped or left out in any way. And really, there were already some pretty strict social boundaries between Basch and Ashelia to begin with, just because of the nature of her being his princess and him serving her father and then her. Some of that would have been relaxed a bit as they adventured with friends just before they were frozen, but while living in the Avengers compound they would likely fall back into much the same dynamic they had before.

Things would still be awkward for the ship, I imagine, especially if Basch has told her about Ashelia or even how he felt for her. If the ship automatically thought Basch would leave them for Ashe or otherwise became upset by her presence, he would be all over that like white on rice to reassure them that he's not going anywhere.

Questions for the Mun | Accepting | @wexarethewalkingxdead

I’ve always written in third person, but I started out using script-style RP. I occasionally did para/novel style, but script was definitely my go-to for most of my threads in my first 1-2 years of RP.

I’m happy with how he was portrayed in some parts of his canon, but not in others. I overall prefer how he was written in the comics for his Savior era, but loved just about everything they did with him in seasons 9 and 10 on the show. Season 11 had some good moments, but the random love interest and all his other relationships being tossed to the side in favor of Maggie soured a lot for me (not that I didn’t like any of his stuff with Maggie, but making his entire storyline revolve around her was too much, especially since they’re getting an entire spin-off too. Even his relationship with Annie was ultimately about Maggie.)

I’ve developed some nice dynamics with a few OCs, but wouldn’t necessarily say they influenced my muse a whole lot outside of his verse with them, except maybe help establish a few headcanons.

There aren’t any fandoms I regret exploring. There are some I’d never return to, but even those had their good moments, such as introducing me to people I now consider friends. I will say though that the Twitter side of the TWD fandom is extremely rough, and there are certain parts of Negan’s own fandom I wish I had never involved myself with.

I can’t say there’s any rare-pairs I’m really passionate about, at least regarding romantic ships with Negan. I don’t think Negan/Lucille or Negan/Rick count as rare lol.

For ships I let them happen naturally, see where they go. I can’t “plot” my muse’s feelings; I can’t force them to feel a specific way about another muse. However if the muses end up having chemistry and both muns are on board for a ship, at that point I don’t mind plotting scenarios a little bit. I’m also more okay with plotting ships with someone in other verses once I’ve developed a ship with them in our muses’ main verse, because then we already know the chemistry is there.

I don’t think there’s any writing trends that I specifically adore, unless we count dash commentary and banter and that sort of thing. I’ve always enjoyed that. But I’m neutral to most trends here. When it comes to ones I dislike, it’s the over-formatting. I hated the purple prose trend too.

Synopsis

After a rescue job goes wrong, Fu Cheng's client and a friend go missing, and Fu Cheng is stuck looking after his rescue target, Zhou Xuanyi, a beautiful young man with serious injuries, an insufferable personality, a mouth-watering bounty on his head, and an inconvenient bout of amnesia that renders him incapable of offering any explanations or solutions to this mess.

Zhou Xuanyi offers to help Fu Cheng find his friend and promises a sizable reward for Fu Cheng's continued protection. He settles into life in Liuying Alley with Fu Cheng and his ward, teenage girl Jin Ling. Their investigation into Fu Cheng's missing friend quickly connects their plight in the far north to conspiracies that can rock the very foundation of the Zhou dynasty. And as protecting Zhou Xuanyi forces Fu Cheng into increasingly dangerous scenarios, Fu Cheng is forced to reflect on the demons in his past that has robbed him of a life-saving skill -- the ability to kill in battle.

The Main Characters

Fu Cheng is a versatile and efficient fighter, a "traitor" expelled by a famous sect. However, he literally cannot strike a killing blow due to psychological trauma from his childhood in a destructive cult. Despite his morally-dubious profession and dark past, Fu Cheng is a kind idealist who always wants to help people and give them another chance. He falls in love with Zhou Xuanyi, and even though their social positions mean they have no future together, he wants to make the most of the time he can have with the young man who has given him a new purpose in life.

Zhou Xuanyi is the mysterious young man whom Fu Cheng is hired to rescue from a kidnapping, whose real identity is possibly the Crown Prince Zhou Heng. Zhou Xuanyi is daring and smart, always thinking a few steps ahead, and makes the most of every tool and resource at his disposal. He manages to survive the threats to his life in Bailu City without his memories, but the real challenge is waiting for him in the capital. After falling in love, he is determined to hold onto Fu Cheng for as long as he can, though later he feels guilty for bringing Fu Cheng into the quagmire of imperial politics.

Both are in their early twenties.

The Relationship Arc

This story has my favorite type of sour-sweet relationship arc. Two people get to know each other and admiration develops gradually. The main couple gets together about halfway into the novel, so it has a fair amount of fluff from an established relationship. They love and trust each other so fiercely in the present moment, but they also believe they don't have a future together given their political reality.

Their future (or the lack thereof) and their class differences cause genuine complications to the relationship that never get hand-waved away. Fu Cheng believes people like him won't find a happy ending, especially not with someone noble and royal like Zhou Xuanyi; every moment in the relationship is clouded by his belief that it won't last. Zhou Xuanyi himself also expects to one day marry a woman and produce heirs as his position requires; he can't bear to let Fu Cheng go but feels guilty about keeping him in this limbo state. Their circumstances make them angry and a little resentful, even though they still love each. Until it happens at the very end, even they don't believe they can have a happy ending together.

This is also one of the few truly verse/switch couples I have seen in danmei. They both show traditional gong tropes. Fu Cheng is physically stronger, very protective, and Zhou Xuanyi eventually becomes the top priority in his life. Zhou Xuanyi confesses his feelings first, and have more control over the status and progress of their relationship. They are not shy about sex, and they don't bring any gender and power dynamic into who tops. They start with some kind of turn-taking, but it's generally decided based on their needs and vibes at that moment.

Zhou Xuanyi has no other partners after starting a relationship with Fu Cheng, but he has been attracted to men before, and his male ex-something plays a major role in this story. He also has two concubines in his estate, but he hasn't been intimate with them for years, and they are just bored stuck at home and end up striking up very fun friendships with Fu Cheng.

The Plot

To put it briefly: action-packed and fun, but don't think too hard about it.

This novel is a fusion of wuxia and political intrigue. Most of the conflicts in this story are rooted in political motives, but they are often resolved by wuxia-style showdowns. Fu Cheng's personal arc deeply linked to his past in the martial sects, while Zhou Xuanyi's is all about the court politics.

Personally, I find the plot more engaging in the first part of the story, when it's set up like a mystery trying to figure out Zhou Xuanyi's kidnapping and backstory. The second part of the novel is mostly set in the capital, but instead of elaborate politicking, the story relies on creating incredibly threatening villains to raise the tension.

This novel also stands out for putting its main characters are under more intense pressure/threats than I typically see in works of this genre. Fu Cheng is a strong fighter, but his effectiveness in battle is seriously reduced by his inability to kill. Zhou Xuanyi is smart and have a very important title, but I have never seen a main character in a worse position than Zhou Heng in terms of manpower, resources, and political capital. As smart as they are, it feels like an uphill battle just to survive, let alone strike back against their enemies.

Supporting Characters

The side characters are surprisingly fleshed out in this story. Through their actions and choices, they all have different answers to the question "what is the most important thing to you." Some have surrendered their identity and pride to protect the people they love. Some have given up their personal interests to fight for the greater good. And some choose to trample over lives of innocent people for their own personal ambitions, or break the hearts and trust of people they love out of selfish resentment.

Compared to the "friendly" supporting characters, the villains are more cartoon-ish. This story relies on villains being incredibly powerful and threatening to create tension, which limits the space for nuance and complexity. But it is an effective strategy that keeps the story engaging enough.

This is one of those rare stories in which the protagonist ends the story in a much worse mental state than what he starts with -- which is fair, given what Fu Cheng goes through, but still an atypical course of character development. He conquers his inability to kill, but is worse off in every other way. In the final chapter, Fu Cheng is technically living out his dream retirement of running a restaurant, but he seems to be doing it to make a point, not because he is enjoying it. He is not nearly as open or friendly as his initial appearance. This vague ideal of Zhou Heng, being a healthy and wise ruler far away in the capital, is the only good thing in the world that gives him purpose to keep living.

It feels strange to see Zhou Heng, set up as a great emperor, leaving his position to be with Fu Cheng (even though he does a lot of good work in his decade of reign and prepares his successor). They are certainly not the first danmei couple to take this route, but it feels a bit off here. Due to Fu Cheng's state near the end, it feels less like them starting a new chapter/retirement that they both look forward to, and more like Zhou Heng choosing a vulnerable Fu Cheng over his responsibilities. However, from Zhou Heng's POV, the worst of Fu Cheng's trauma comes from the sacrifices he has made to help secure Zhou Heng's peaceful reign. Returning to Fu Cheng is him taking care of someone who has given so much to him and the nation, as much as it is about him reuniting with his lover.

Ultimately, the protagonist loses against the challenges set before him in the story. And as sad as it is, it is sort of comforting to see a character who loses, fails, and despairs, but remains sympathetic. Fu Cheng returns to the battlefield to help Zhou Heng in the final arc, but he is so broken compared to who he was before. Zhou Heng isn't judgemental or disappointed that Fu Cheng hasn't healed; he aches for him and only wants to ease his pain. Healing is difficult, and it takes time and energy and support that are in very short supply for broken people. And even though Fu Cheng's recovery is slow, imperfect, and incomplete, he is still capable and deserving of love.

"EQUALITY" By Maya Angelou

Also there's line says, "You announce. are wanton, that I fly from man to man." This part of the poem talks about how some people judge other unfairly. When it says "You announce" it means that some people moke unfair statements about someone behaviors. In this case, they are saying that the person in the poem is behaving. in a way that is not Right.

In Maya Angelou's purem "Equality, The message is clear the fight fof equality is an enduring struggle, marked by historical injustices, judgement, and misunderstanding. Lastly the Equality, and I will be free as a reminder that the rhythms of change must never hesitate until equality is achieved for all.

- Danny and Robin: They're single shipped in a few au's public and private just because they're both so connected and have so much development. Egg's been a joy to help develop Danny further and letting me explore just how awful he is as a person despite how goofy he is as a character. I'm really excited to treat his modern verse like he's in Roseville and the parody paper dragging up emotions he thought he killed a long time ago. - Tarhos and Haru: How much can I say about these two without writing a novel? I'm a slut for found family and healthy explorations of trauma and these two really are just that. Of course they have their tragic verses like Tarhos's main verse (Haru's medieval) where they're both seen as animals to varying degrees and they don't get a happy ending. Modern they do, but I also enjoy the whole cosmic "You and I are always destined to meet" thing they have going on especially with Tarhos's fallen angel and Haru's primordial verse. They just have me by the throat-

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?

I'm honestly of the opinion that if it's not predatory like someone clearly more mature who only likes "young" x, y or z it's fine. I write a few older muses, I write muses that are well beyond human comprehension in age, but age gaps happen it's not really something people actively think about. The largest age gap I have in a ship is 12 years between Haruko and Tarhos, but that's fine.

Healing Skin from Within: Skin Poem

Chin Simpson, the entrepreneur behind Skin Poem, used positive affirmations and self-love as the forefront of her business. Although her brother dealt with a severe case of psoriasis away from his family and she experienced the tribulations of COVID in the Philippines, poetry kept her passion for business alive. By Taylor Spill @taylorespill For most, a global pandemic and a loved one struggling with a painful skin condition on the other side of the world would be a breaking point. However, this is exactly what inspired businesswoman Chin Simpson to spread poetry full of love and positivity. Skin Poem was the product of Chin wanting to care for her brother and her calling as an entrepreneur. After collaborating with myriad chemists and dermatologists, Skin Poem was created to alleviate the pain of skin conditions while also including messages of self-love. Part of what inspired Chin to create her own business was social distancing regulations. Living in the Philippines at the time, she was subjected to strict lockdowns, spending ample time at home. She reflects on her experiences in 2021, when she began her business, “The main inspiration was during COVID, I felt like the world was shifting to a very different energy we were all able to slow down and focus on what really matters, having so much time for ourselves.” What mattered to Chin at the time was supporting her family, especially her brother. From sharing positive affirmations to sending developing products, she made sure to be there for her brother, despite her inability to leave the Philippines. “It was finally time for me to take this next step. I took a leap of faith starting this business, even though I had no background in skincare,” Chin says when talking about what inspired her to translate her passion for helping people find love for themselves into a business. Skin Poem was built on healing one’s relationship with their skin, in both a literal and metaphorical sense. Each product aids in healing skin impacted by different skin conditions in addition to containing a unique verse of poetry containing affirmations and positive messages. Loving yourself is loving the skin that you’re in. Chin hopes that the poetry and messages she conveys through her products can help her customers love themselves and heal their relationship with their body, especially their skin. While envisioning the future of the brand, Chin states, “Hopefully Skin Poem will be a global brand that is well loved. Vortex greatly appreciates Shrapnel’s presence, adores his unique nature, and will happily invite him to every session to watch him delightfully work his magic.

Cannibal AU: Same as above except Vortex’s tastes for Cybertronians seams to have piqued Shrapnel’s interest in the Combaticon even more, and he’s quite thrilled to be himself around the bug without having to worry about being too freakish. Who knows where this will lead for the two of them?

At first, Vortex was interested in Blaze as he was nothing more than a 4 million-year-old virgin copter with strange quirks. After many adventures, frags, and bickering like the oldest couple to ever exist, they have grown to enjoy each other’s company, personality and invade another’s personal space with no complaints. Vortex finds himself close to him and is one of the few mechs outside the gestalt he’ll look after and pamper. Whether the two actually have something between them or not, it’ll likely never be spoken about as they are either too stubborn or are just unable to comprehend those thoughts into words.

The Combaticons have also accepted Blaze as part of their squad where each of them has their own unique relationship with the cryptid, because what’s the worst that could happen to have two badass, flirty, and wild copters running around?

Another copter Vortex finds himself interested in. He absolutely likes Whirl’s fun personality and the fact that he isn’t afraid or doesn’t seem to be creeped out by the Combaticon’s odd behavior. They enjoy clashing any chance they get as it’s the perfect way for two high-energy and violent copters to release it all in one go. Receiving damage seems to be the least of their worries, in Vortex’s case, it’s because he’s a masochist/ sadist, loves it, and believes Whirl does as well. It’s only a matter of time before he finds out Whirl is actually an asexual, even so, he doubts his opinion of the copter will change.

Wild  -  wild-at-spark -  Main Verse / AU

A small but feisty doctor who has caught the Combaticon’s attention. It’s not often Vortex comes across someone, a doctor nonetheless, who’s as savage and bloodthirsty as he is and so far she has been ticking off all the boxes in becoming a great friend and fellow companion for creating chaos. He enjoys her company and likes how she can handle his strange behavior without any issues. She has an interesting personality and an outlier ability and he’d love to learn more about the tiny femme.

Yet to be named AU: They become close and develop feelings for each other. Their size difference and demeanor make it a whole lot more entertaining.

An Autobot whom Vortex has abused time and time again, even cutting off his door wings at some point because he had a creepy obsession for them to hang in his trophy room. Yet, for some unknown reason, Smokescreen kept returning or contacting Vortex making him believe that they were either brave, stupid, or just looking to annoy him for his own amusement. Whatever the case, the copter doesn’t know what to think of them though he did enjoy their horror movie night session and watching the ‘Bot get scared. Maybe in time, and a couple more binge fests and chats, he’ll figure out what to do with them.

Vortex crushed hard on the medic who was into strange things while Hook liked how deranged the copter was. Love at first sight? Unlikely. Boundaries were set by the Constructicon to make sure Vortex didn’t overstep and strut around the medical bay as if he owned it, or think he could just get what he wanted because he asked nicely. They truly bonded by cutting open and torturing ‘Bots together, seeing just how fragged up the other is, and filling up their trophy rooms with the pieces/ parts of the enemy to remind themselves of their lovely date nights. Both sides of the gestalt weren’t too happy about the two hooking up but they’ve learned to accept and deal with it within time.

The fact that Blades is a dirty blood thirsty fighter who also happens to have an helicopter alt mode just ticks off all the boxes for Vortex. He has the hots for him, perhaps a little too much for someone who’s suppose to be the enemy, but it doesn’t stop the Combaticon from wanting to fight, frag or fondle them whereas Blades wants to beat him to a pulp or at least begging for mercy. It’s a terrible love/hate relationship with some sexual tension going on between them, and only time will tell if one will eventually get bored/ sick of the other and just kill them or frag and get it over with.

Allen  -  Main Verse

For some time Allen was another mech who Vortex sought out to torment and play games with just because he could. Eventually, Allen got into it, which made Vortex fascinate and decide to toy with them more. Their relationship was simply casual however Allen did form a crush on the copter and may have wanted things to go further. Vortex did not and thought it was best to keep their relationship the way it was which Allen eventually accepted over time. Whether Vortex shows it or not, deep down he does care for him and likes his presence, he just doesn’t want to get their hopes up.

Overlord  -  Main Verse

Vortex has read about Overlord in the database but has never thought in a lifetime he would ever get to meet, let alone have the pleasure of torturing some poor soul with the phasesixer. Crossing paths with him was one of the biggest highlights of his life, and defiantly one of the best dates (if one would call it that) of hanging out at his place, getting the privilege to enter the ‘basement’, and pick an unlucky prisoner to ruin in the most unpleasant ways imaginable. Vortex had taken a liking to him considering they shared a lot of similarities, though he wasn’t too keen on Overlord wanting to keep him to himself, and away from his gestalt team.

An old friend and a bounty hunter that was very interested in Vortex along with his interrogating work. The Combaticon was happy to be his mentor and show him the ropes so that they could get to know each other more. The two had defiantly gotten close, feelings may have been established and though neither of them would speak up about it, things still remained smoothly between them. Unfortunately, Caliber grabbed the attention of another bounty hunter who injured him severely and when Vortex managed to track him down he had no choice but to put him out of his misery. A task that was not easy to do and something he keeps in the depths of his processor in hopes that it never resurfaces.

can u explain the patd drama

there’s so much to explain and even as someone who considers themselves well-versed in the drama i don’t have all of the specifics down but. basically after p!atd’s second album was released ryan ross (founding member of p!atd, lyricist, main creative force behind the band) and jon walker (p!atd’s bassist) decided to leave the band in 2009 due to “creative differences.” the official story is that brendon wanted to make more pop-centric music whereas ryan wanted to do retro rock stuff (as is evident by his later project, the young veins), but there was also a lot of interpersonal drama between brendon and ryan that Some People believe has to do with a previous romantic and/or sexual relationship between the two of them but im not gonna get into that. basically they used to be incredibly close but their different artistic visions put a huge strain on the band (and it doesn’t help that brendon and ryan both have Massive egos lol).

brendon (and spencer smith, also a founding p!atd member) kept the band name and branding while jon and ryan started the young veins (and faded into obscurity). a lot of the music on vices and virtues, the first post-split p!atd album, was previously conceived by ryan and/or was partially developed by fall out boy bassist and p!atd mentor pete wentz, which is significant bc a lot of the band’s success in that era had nothing to do with brendon’s prowess as a songwriter or lyricist. dallon weekes joined the band as p!atd’s new bassist and was a huge contributor as well, especially when it came to lyrics and the band’s creative vision. he continued to write really great lyrics for too weird to live too rare to die, which also was pretty successful.

spencer eventually left the band due to his own personal struggles with addiction, leaving dallon and brendon as the only two official members of patd. this changed in 2015, however, when dallon was demoted to just being the touring bassist rather than an actual member of the band. brendon urie became the sole remaining member of panic! at the disco. death of a bachelor was released in 2016, and leading up to that brendon had said some pretty shitty things about his former band members, claiming that he wrote the album himself because they “weren’t up to his standards” (i can’t find the article but i remember it So Vividly bc i was so pissed off abt it lmao). dallon later left to work full time on his own project, i don’t know how but they found me, whose single “choke” is maybe definitely written in response to brendon and how he treated dallon during their time being in p!atd together.

basically, brendon pushed away a lot of his band members which resulted in a lot less artistic integrity and a lot more commercial viability. brendon has not had a unique thought or vision in a long time (like. even his music videos are super unoriginal. the high hopes one sucks and the whole muppet thing he was trying to do w the other pftw mvs was done by marianas trench several years ago). he has a reputation for egotism and is a notoriously difficult person to work with. so there’s that

I have to rant a bit about how weirdly marriages of main couple in Boruto is being portrayed.

Naruto x Hinata

This ship, having no major development in the Naruto series, made little sense of being made into a couple. But whatever. We can go along with the fact that Hinata loved and looked at Naruto from a distance from a long time and Naruto felt touched about that, married her and had kids. It’s still barely digestible till this point. But then, Naruto is a hokage. He loves his village, his people. Cool, cool! But then he ignores his family. Stays out of house for so long that his kid starts to detest the position of a hokage, doubts whether his father loves him, and starts having his daddy issues. Minato was a hokage, Sarutobi was a hokage... were their family ever so neglected? Are the duties so different for Naruto? Yes, maybe he has to rebuild a new village, less time and work overload. But then what? Throughout the series, it is shown that Naruto is half-dead tackling his duties and keeps getting further away from his kids. For a guy who knew how it felt to grow up without parents, I still think he should have given more time to his kids. I am completely not even touching the facts about Hinata. She is being as ignored as she was in the first series. Where is the family life everyone was promised?

Sasuke x Sakura

The worst and the most toxic relationship in Naruto and Boruto verse. Fuck this pairing...fuck it! The creator himself does not love the pairing. With how mentally unstable Sasuke had been in the first series, trying to kill Sakura and doing things to get through his own version of pain. But then what happened? She was still a salivating dog after Sasuke, barking and drooling all over him. From what I can gather, he might have just married her to shut her yapping. Had a kid, probably only from a one night deal and then left, like his ass was on fire. He so hates the prospect of being with her, he runs away and returns only when Konoha is in danger. I mean what more a relationship could you expect? Sarada, the kid who is suffering the most, doubts whether she is even their kid. And the bullshit with Karin never helped. But really, Sarada was suffering the most. And that bitch of a Sakura had a fucking mental breakdown. This absolutely delusional, Sasuke obsessed, pink troll. I swear she makes this relationship the most toxic. I agree that Sasuke is doing Sarada dirty, he might not like Sakura being clingy but the kid is his, he should be responsible at least. He loves the kid. But when you do not like your partner and in a society like ninja villages where divorce and separation is not really a thing looked highly upon, it becomes hard for Sasuke to return home and have a peaceful life. Even when he returned, he stays out of house most of the time, spends days on with Boruto and returns home only when Sarada is desperate.

Naruto X Sasuke

These two have not changed since Naruto, even in Boruto they look out for each other and honestly spend more time in each other’s presence as compared to their wives. Lol, they even look after each other’s kid like their own. Otherwise Sarada’s wish would not be to become a Hokage and Boruto’s to be a shadow Hokage like Sasuke and support Sarada from the shadows.

I swear what their mother could not have done for them in like thirteen years of their lives, a non blood uncle did for them. Naruto for Sarada and Sasuke for Boruto.

Now tell me, what do you think makes sense in the family lives? Honestly, I think they should have never married wives who love them so much if they were about to leave said wives so lonely. I feel pity for the girls too. But really, SS and NH would have never happened in a better way especially when Naruto prioritises the village and Sasuke more and Sasuke sees his whole world in Naruto.

SNS should have happened (romantic or just plain family) and forced coupling of SS and NH has ruined all of their lives and turned it completely toxic.

If at least anything, the two couple should have dated for a while instead of directly jumping into a marriage.

((Should I make a tag for canon divergent threads based on canon?

That’d be, like, all of my Stolas threads tbh.

Because my main verse, he and Stella fix their relationship. 9 out of 10 times, unless the AU is otherwise tagged or otherwise plotted (see below for examples), I assume this is the universe in which my Stolas lives. It goes divergent between the pilot and Episode 2, and subsequent events don’t happen. In one version of this world, he never slept with Blitzo at all but does have a best friend Blitzo ( @spindlehorse ) who isn’t EXACTLY the guy we see in canon either. In another, he did fuck up and has been fighting to make things right. @raichoose and I have worked really hard for this divergence and I don’t even consider it an AU because it’s my default.

Another of my verses, he’s developing a special connection to Agent Two (Darcy) as he possesses her on and off. I have a ship that predates all three of these with @noblehcart​ and her human Stolas made a deal with, Lucy Harris from “Jekyll and Hyde”, who becomes his sugar baby and the sweetest monsterfucker you ever did see. I sometimes have Blitzos who I ship with but the percentage of my threads that are Stolitz is miniscule compared to other ships and, of course, all the beautiful, wonderful Octavias I get to write with and the OCs Stolas has taken under his wing. 

Like, there’s that, too, right? My Stolas is here to take care of his owlet and any cuckoos who need a little bit of dad energy in their lives, perhaps above all else he does. I’ve met some amazing Octavia muns ( @raichoose, @ladiesofhell, @celestvia, @owletteofstars, @hazbinxdisaster to name a few). Octavia is the heart of Stolas’ world, but I also think about the fact that he adores his weird nephew (Hooty), happily supports Via’s friends (Charlie and Hellsa @ladiesofhell and @von-eldritch), and adopts OCs he sees who need a parental figure that doesn’t suck (Clem @hannah-the-small​) and that in my heart of hearts, I want him and Ann’s Stella to expand their family one day, when they feel on totally stable ground. I focus on Stolas as a father figure as much as or more than I focus on him as a sexual being and I love it. I love it all.

Point is, I follow the spirit, not the letter of canon with my Stolas and I’m just wondering if I should differentiate my sub-verses so  that way when I one day allow anons back into my world, I don’t get yelled at for Stolas cheating “again” because everything is separate and I just suck at tagging. Especially if Season 2 means that Stolas comes back and Stella plays a bigger role (last Q&A seemed to confirm it). I’m excited because I enjoy canon for what it is but my whole blog is like “Stolas: The Canon Divergence” and I am so nervous.
