Archmage Beliaos of the Shrouded Sea

-Pictured Beliaos;  The Self Proclaimed Divinity.  The Iron Fist.  Scourge of the Shrouded Sea.

-Beliaos Stats (and why the heck is this one so blurry I seriously don’t know? compression?)

Beliaos is the perfect final antagonist to most players and parties campaigns in the Shrouded Sea an Evil Tyrant and self proclaimed god.

Well similar to a Lich his greater spell options additional special attacks after running out of spells and the fact he will 100% have undead servants and/or personal bodyguards with him makes this combat a far more difficult endeavor.

Killing the Iron Fist is not going to be easy and make your players work for it here are a few magic items to give Beliaos to represent his treasure trove of items.

You do not need to give him all of these items obviously but think about including them.

The Iron Fist;  A Gauntlet that lets him Cast Shield 5 Times Per Long Rest.  Well worn it also provides a costant Shield of Faith

Runic Plate;  Beliao’s Armour has many magic runes on it the most common is Ally Swap which allows Beliaos as a Legendary Action select 1 ally within 75ft of himself to swap places with

Ring of Hasty Casting;  This Ring lets him cast a 3rd Level or lower spell as a Bonus Action and its a great way to have Beliaos pepper the party with magic missiles to disrupt them.

Transportation Stone;  Once Per Long Rest Beliaos can teleport up to 5 willing Creatures in his sight to anywhere within the Shrouded Sea.  When the stone recharges he can transport back all the creatures without expending the stones power as long as they are all still willing(corpses are considered willing for this).  Beliaios can also use this power on himself to teleport to any Teleportation Circle within the Shrouded Sea Once Per Month.

Beliaos is smart and should players expose themselves as a threat to his dominion far to early in the campaign he is very willing to intercept them or send powerful mages under his command to do so.

The spells above are those assumed prepared should he know players are coming for a fight but adjust the list to counter players he knows information about and do not forget that he knows every Wizard Spell meaning you can tailor his spell list as you see fit

Frankly Beliaos as a bad guy is self explanatory... he is the reason the Shrouded Sea is the mess it is.

A campaign could start at any point be it right after the Uprising or even a decade later players would have many reasons to enter the Shrouded Sea in exploration for lost loved ones or treasures of the many kingdoms vaults hopefully yet plundered or ravaged.

After 30 years most campaigns would be more about mapping out the region after the destruction a confirmation of the damages and investigation of the ground before investigating the floating islands above.

That said an adventure could just as easily start with the players as sky pirates or what have you entering this newly formed Shrouded Sea to investigate and catalogue the region or see if people live on these floating islands or the premises i suggested before.

The grand scope of the region really leaves the options open to those wishing to explore it all with the foreboding threat of the Scourge seeing a threat to his power in this upstarts.

He’s a monster and he has no problems enacting that on others without care for there safety.

Beliaos is without remorse and simply cares to rule his city and stop any from being able to have claims in the Shrouded Sea indirectly ruling as the Scourge of it.

twst pirate au!!

the theme/idea for their dorm was basically like the flying dutchman from pirates of the caribbean so idias job as the captain is to deliver lost souls that died in the ocean to safety.

idia - became the captain of the ship purely just so that his little brother wouldnt be wandering the ocean lost in death and now ortho travels w/ him so theyre never alone </3. the veil he wears is both to make him look scarier than he actually is + he doesnt actually have to look into anyones eyes which is a bonus for him.

ortho - he is dead (shocker), ortho died at sea and wandered the oceans until his brother found him and then he joined his brother. some parts of his body like his arms are just bare bones and sometimes they pop off. ortho does most of the speaking for idia whenever addressing the crew, idia just kind stands there lol

anyways very fun and if i do continue w/ this au i might also refer to it as the seven seas au since not everyone is technically gonna be pirates and some characters might get aged up. (p.s their bandanas on their waists r matching)

Celebrating the ever elusive Shrouded Ghost Megalodon from Sea of Thieves! First of all I love this game. Second of all I love the stylized sharks and megs in the game. Third of all I SWAER I HAVE SEEN THIS THING BEFORE. I SWEAR. NOBODY BELIEVES ME.

For context, the Shrouded Ghost is the rarest Megalodon in the game. The spawn rate is debated. But it’s approximately 0.5-1% chance. Megalodons are already rare, so finding this thing? Unheard of. These guys are HUGE. Massive beasts. But oh, is it so worth it.

It is a single voice in an ocean of news, of photography and video evidence and cruel, tiny people trying to run from their own self-hatred by inflicting it a thousand times over on others.

Why are local newspapers less reliable than european and american ones? Is it because they are biased in favour of their oppressed neighbours? Or is it because they aren't white, and therefore must be duplicitous liars, always out to paint the West's friends as monsters?

The Megs are probably my favourite creatures in the game. I’m a sucker for bioluminescence and big shark beasts.
