knitting larger scale projects (sweaters, blankets, skirts)
crocheting looks fun, let's try that
altering / making your own patterns
any kind of weaving
building a Loom or other equipment from scratch.
cross stitching?? cross stitching.
mending your own clothes

some obscure craft like needle binding or lace making

to cope with withdrawal i start writing some poems again like I did as a child, I used it to process a lot of trauma and forgot I had this hobby tbh lol. I’m definitely not the best writer but sometimes it just feels so therapeutic to just write and process your emotions.

Had a fucking abysmal day at work on Thursday. Started my hunt for something new yesterday, and I already have an interview scheduled for Tuesday. The recruiter phoned me within minutes of receiving my CV and called me ‘heaven sent’ so I’m hopeful. To my current boss – you think you can do my job? Do it, then.

So you said a while ago underfell was your favorite au before. Is that still true or?
Also who’s your favorite character from whatever au you like?
damn, you were around for that? :'D
yeah, underfell used to be my favorite! i think it was smth about being really edgy as a kid, or maybe it was because red was my favorite color. idk man, even now i gotta admit those designs slap really hard.
i'm not really sure if i have a favorite au now though. i do have some ideas for underfell that i like, but i think i see the appeal of most aus bc i just like making new scenarios.
i like the big three a lot (classic, fell, swap). sans is my favorite in classic (predictable i know) if you're not counting gaster, since he isn't technically a canon character. i like both fell paps and fell sans equally, and swap paps is cool. i'd be buddies with that guy.
(i also really like asgore in undertale. the tragedy of the grief-stricken ruler who kills even though it's against his nature for the freedom of his people but also because he's long past convinced he's in too deep is really compelling to me, and by proxy i'm interested in the theoretical stories of all the fallen humans including frisk. also the whole thing with their broken family and chara and—
—whoops the ask is about aus not canon lmao, sorry!)

☆ Can we please talk about my poor guy having back problems??? Thank you. ☆
Look at this sad, pathetic excuse for a chair my honey has to deal with for a majority of the day. Darling, let me trade you, gamer chair isn't great for ergonomics either, but anything is better than this hell scape you put yourself through on a daily basis. No wonder he opts to go to the internet cafe as often as he does. Is this some twisted part of his masochism? Honey... there are other ways, you don't have to do this to yourself.

one of the really fascinating things about chronic illness and ableist doctors is how little they trust me to distinguish things about my body
I think for them it's very easy to say 'okay pain caused by nerves is a dull diffuse pain and pain caused by joint dislocation is also a dull diffuse pain so I need to do further testing to distinguish them'
but for patients who live with it it's very easy to distinguish the two! in fact with as much time as I spend with it I'm very good at telling what my body's symptoms mean! they're important warning lights for managing my condition!
nerve pain feels different than joint injury pain and they respond to very different treatment! it's extremely beneficial for me to learn the difference so of course I have!
it's just so frustrating for my doctors to go "oh your wrists hurt? let's do a nerve assessment" and for me to say "I don't tend to get nerve pain in my hands and that's not the pain I want addressed" and then have the doc go "ehhhhhhhhh let's run the test"
i feel like I'm constantly having my personal experience on this dismissed, on everything from distinguishing low blood sugar and low blood pressure to differentiating the types of fatigue and sleepiness I experience
disabled people tend to know their own bodies best, and the bulk of management of their conditions will be done by them alone, and I just really wish doctors would listen to them a little more.
