I don't like reading the news, but sometimes it's the social media furor about a major world event that I really want to avoid. There is a callous cruelty in some posts that have crossed my dashboard, so often fueled by limited or false information and cancel culture and hate rather than actual justice or understanding. It makes my heart sick. I want to rage at them, but I have to keep reminding myself that I cannot change the world by myself. We have always been like this; this is not new. It is not a surprise to God. Nothing under the sun is a surprise to God, and He is in control. I have to let Him be in control.

I can pray, though. I am determined that I will keep bringing these things to God and praying that some of the people outside the situation will see the truth before it leads to even more hate and injustice. I will pray that those who have been harmed will find healing and peace and rest in Him. I will pray for peace, for others and for myself, and I will choose to thank the Lord for what He is already doing that we cannot see, and for the good that He will bring out of it, because He makes beautiful things out of the dust.

No matter how big, or small, the Lord is always listening to your prayers!

As I’m nearing the end of pregnancy, I’d found myself tossing and turning a lot the past few nights. Some nights not sleeping at all 😅

Personally, I know it comes with the territory, so it wasn’t the end of the world. I did notice, however, how it was effecting my homemaking.

So in the middle of random conversations I was having with my husband last night, I prayed to God that He give me peace and rest so that I can wake up before 3 in the afternoon, and have the strength and energy to enjoy more of my day.

We went right back to talking about other things like I hadn’t just done that 🤣

But God, I fell asleep last night at about 3 am, & woke up this morning at 11 am (that’s a *major* accomplishment for pregnant me 💀)

I’m writing about this as I make our grocery list to tell you that He absolutely listens.

So just pray. Even when it feels silly or excessive 🤍

Celebrate! God is good and roe v wade has been over turned!

Throughout today please pray for mothers who may be feeling frustrated, scared, and alone, that God will move them to go where they will receive actual help, and that they will know that things arent hopeless.

Pray for pregnancy centers and other related places that help mothers in need, that they will be safe against any increased attacks, and that they can fully serve those who need them.

Pray for fathers, that they will step up and care for their women and children, taking on their responsibility to do so. Being a physical and emotional support to them.

Pray for pro-aborters, that they will not be moved or clouded by anger, and they they will step up to help these woman how they should have been help to begin with. Pray that they will receive scientific truth, and be turn to help every woman and child.

Pray for everyones health and safety.

And thank God for His sovereignty! Thank Him for answered prayers, and saving His children, and know that He has a plan, always for His glory. 👆

Lord,

you created me. My body is sick now and perhaps my soul, too. Please heal me, renew me. Repair the body You had made. Refresh the soul You created for eternal existence. You alone know how to restore my health, for You created me. Make me whole again so that I may live my life for You.
