So, Cassandra's followers destroyed her idols. That's been confirmed, although we haven't 100% gotten the reason why. It seems to be implied that Galicaea wouldn't want to share followers, but is unclear.
The thing I find interesting from the quote above is that this temple was destroyed after a Sylvan war. Like... Ankarna, our goddess of conquest. Then the Nightmare King rises to power. I wonder if the temple they visit in Sylvaire was the last one dedicated to Cassandra's worship.
Why were these two gods destroyed? Both literally having their idols and artifacts broken to remove their names from the world. And by their own followers???
It's like... They did this with Ankarna a thousand of years ago and it worked. So... Cassandra becomes a problem and they solve it in the same way.
Fascinating.

If Percy can control a goddess's tears and saliva, poison, and water in a person's lungs, then why can't Jason and Thalia suck air out of someone's lungs to make them momentarily stop breathing atleast for a little while or smth? it's very much possible, i swear am i the only one who feels like the Grace siblings were severely underpowered considering that they're the children of the king of all gods? i get that uncle Rick probably didnt want them to overpower or overshadow Percy, but they could've had atleast a little more power.
Also, it's kinda obvious that Jason constantly getting knocked out is just a cheap and not very subtle way to make sure Jason doesn't "take" Percy's spotlight imo. Rick kind of overdid that to the point it became a joke, it's like he was afraid percy won't be seen as "cool" anymore, if jason had surpassed him, so he did everything he could to undermine jason's power to best of his ability, while simultaneously shoe-horning that jason is a Roman legend who had great achievements. Fine, don't give him new achievements, but couldn't we have gotten a flashback of his old achievements atleast? His fight with trojan, or him toppling the black throne, and fighting krios, atleast in Reyna's pov? Jason winning atleast one solid fight wont hurt anything or make us love percy any less.
It's clear that Rick CHOSE Jason to be Percy's equal or foil, but he never actually wrote them as equals with fair amount of power imo, it was a good idea to have them as parallels, but the execution was terrible. It made it seem like Jason simply exists for the sole purpose of making Percy look better (which isn't even necessary, mind you, bc Percy is always our OG king), by saying "ha! See! Percy is so much better than this useless upstart of a hero!" By giving him all the bad stuff percy doesn't have.
It's kind of like Cho from Harry Potter "existing" to make Ginny look like the superior partner for Harry and was discarded as soon as she served her purpose, scarily like Jason.
Jason's character deserved sm better. He had a great backstory, all he needed was a little more spice to his personality + a little more power

I think The Empty Cup was around when I started to realize that not doing exactly what each Princess wanted wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. While your mutually fatal duel with Razor in The Arms Race was a satisfying conclusion, The Empty Cup left a much stronger impression on me. First, for that visual of you gently holding the Razor’s still-beating heart in the palm of your hand, the only vulnerable and nonviolent part of her. You make no move to crush it in reprisal for all the violence she visited upon your body. You merely let it rest there, still beating, until The Shifting Mound comes to reclaim it, cradling it in an equally tender but even more visually arresting gesture when you speak to her afterwards.
But, also, there is something strangely beautiful in you sticking to your guns in your (possibly unwitting) commitment to pacifism so hard that reality itself bends around you. The Razor’s violence loses its power and smashes ineffectively against your refusal to participate, and her refusal to give up eventually strips her into a form that can no longer hurt you, that you can coexist peacefully in.
The rest of my routes of that run took a certain tone in examining agency: Damsel where you see what giving up yourself to make the other person happy can do to you from the other side, Den where setting an ultimatum does not necessarily doom the relationship to an endless cycle of conflict or a forsaking of humanity, and finally ending upon The Apotheosis where, goddamn it, enough was enough, and rather than being furious at my resistance like she was as The Tower, the goddess was delighted.
I think there’s a parallel to be made between The Empty Cup and if you choose to resist Shifty at the end, in order to reach her heart and truly speak to her, and to open her up to the possibility of a future where you aren’t constantly in conflict despite having been born to be each other’s diametric opposite.
It’s not always a good thing to lose yourself in a relationship and become totally enmeshed, bound to the roles you’ve come to play for each other as a matter of routine and convenience. I felt uncomfortable with The Damsel because I understood what sort of guilt and shame could cause someone to make themselves want to be so small and unobtrusive, but did it really feel any better to the Princess when I did the same thing at other points? Relationships involve compromise and sacrifice, yes, but they’re not one-person affairs by definition. You have to be an active participant instead of a passive extension of your partner. What you want matters, too, particularly if what you want does not involve being stabbed, or eaten, or compelled to allow a terrifying goddess who just exploded out of the earth to end your existence. Sometimes you have to put your foot down and say “no” if you want to reach a resolution that can make both of you happy.

I've been reading The Hesiodic Catalogue of Women and Archaic Greece by Kirk Ormand. The Catalogue of Women is a poem attributed to Hesiod that survive only in fragments and deals with women who gave birth to heroes. All the heroic genealogies culminate in the story of the marriage of Helen, which leads to the end of the Age of Heroes. Here's one little thing that I found interesting:
Ormand says that throughout most of the Catalogue, there are a limited number of formulas that are used to indicate that a man wishes to marry a particularly desirable woman. "He made her his blooming bride", "[he led her] to his house to be called his beloved bride". In all of these instances, the man is the active subject, and the woman is both the grammatical object and the object of masculine desire. When it comes to the suitors of Helen, however, a new formula appears: "For greatly he wished in his heart to be the husband of fair-haired Helen".
"The obvious implications of this shift in the way that the suitors' desires are portrayed is that the suitors have become less active as subjects. Rather than wishing to make Helen his wife, each suitor wishes to become her husband, a subtle indication that in the marriage, Helen might be the more important partner." Ormand draws a parallell to the Iliad where Paris is described six times as "Alexandros, husband of fair-haired Helen", and then points out that:
"The only other male figure from the Iliad who is repeatedly identified as the husband of his famous wife is, interestingly, Zeus, several times with the formula ἐρίγδουπος πόσις Ἥρης ("high-thundering husband of Hera"). Zeus is described as Hera's husband, and Hera receives Helen's epithet of fair-haired: at Iliad 10.5, he is πόσις Ἥρης ἠϋκόμοιο ("Husband of lovely-haired Hera")."
Ormand agrees with Clader who argues: "The parallell is striking, particularly when one considers the relative importance of the πόσις and his lady; Helen is certainly the stronger figure in her context, and grammatically Zeus, too, loses out to Hera (after all, he is being identified by means of her). The expression would seem to be rooted in a period when Hera was still the earth goddess and Zeus was her consort, or was taking the place of her consort."

-hands you my Love listener and also all my actual love ily booboo-
One. They have been called Love and/or Asset and will name themselves Ariel.
Two. Unfortunately, we already know all there is to their backstory 😭
Three. They’ve played around with the idea of lots of aesthetics and have settled on a sort of pastel, casual look with academia elements.
Four. They’re gender-fluid, so they switch from male, femme, and androgynous presenting on a whim.
Five. (Now that I’m really reading these questions, I’m so sorry for sending you an Android 😂) Marcus is an anime nerd in the worst way, so Ariel was deffo made with East-Asian features.
Six. They were made to look in their early twenties.
Seven. Slender and androgynous.
Eight. A Scorpio, though I’m not confident about that answer, I’ll admit.
Nine. Anton, who is the only person they feel likes them, and James, who is the only person who they feel respects them.
Ten. They’re still discovering hobbies and interests but so far, they’re enjoying listening to music and learning piano.
Eleven. Hmm, I think it’d be interesting if it was Psyche, Greek Goddess of the Soul, since it could be argued whether they have one.
Twelve. RedactedAudio 💕
Thirteen. Ariel is a sex-neutral/averse ace, so when they do sex without the obsession-code, it’s done with curiosity and the partner’s pleasure as the main priority.
Fourteen. Hmmm… that’s a new question for me. I think they actually don’t know yet.
Fifteen. I am Not a Robot by Marina and the Diamonds. It unironically makes them feel a lot of things.
Sixteen. Lowkey Natalie Portman’s character in Ex Machina.
Seventeen. Almost like a stock photo or a model’s shoot. They are symmetrical and physically attractive, beautiful almost, but there’s something impersonal about the stiff way they hold themselves and the lack of emoting on their face.
Eighteen. They really want to meet a dog. EDM music confused them and holds up appeal. They wish they could try coffee and lemons.
Thank you, my love 🧡
LaVeau-gue - design #003 - Asset/Love - Ariel - Lexi Sun
Tumblr media
You are most welcome Lexi, always an honour to get to work with my first redacted friend, especially when it comes to this bean, Ariel! I still remember a few of the details from our previous conversations in regards to how you see them so I hope this does them justice!
Design Notes
Approaching Ariel's design, I had already had remembered conversations with you in regards to previous inspirations you'd mentioned for your take on Love. I also added in a bit of my own inspos to the mix to see what would take
For Ariel's design I wanted to keep in mind the solid collection of notes you'd written up so I could incorporate as much as I could whilst also condensing the design so I could make it simple to redraw (as I do with some of my other designs). My main focus when getting into this design however was to create a human and android Skin similar to how I'd made my Asset, Prim.
A big inspiration I had for them was Jenni from My Life As a Teenage Robot and Hatsune Miku so I decided that white metallic plates reminiscent of Jenni would work and blue hair similar to Miku would tie things together. Additional, I also chose to include colours from the PM title cards to establish that visual parallel .
Tumblr media
As for clothing, I followed your instructions as best as I could, creating an androgynous fit that was pastel and had hints of academic elements! On top of that, I incorporated musical notes as a reference to the singing Ariel from the Tempest and the little mermaid does and to reference her proclivities for piano music. To reference back to your choice of Psyche as a god to represent Asset, I included butterfly designs on their overalls. To balance the whole pallette I combos the PM pallette and the pallette of their clothes which ended up being pretty readable overall! Another fun fact is that I also ended realizing that Ariel shares a clothing pallette with my Caelum!
Wanna have your listener designed by me? Check out my rules for LaVeau-gue and send an ask my way! Also, currently I am looking for money to replace my computer so any interested parties who wanna help can check out my commissions!

GG Sheng Yang Post
The sun is with me, with you 🌞
Tumblr media
Back to the warm home in the parallel world. The orderly, warm and well-organized nest in the chaos accommodates the energy and imprints of Xiao Shengyang's growing up in this space. Coupled with the smiling faces of Lao Sheng and Mei Juan'er, they complement each other perfectly.
For me, the difference between Sheng Yang and the characters I played in the past is that he is closer to life, he is like you and me. There are family members, partners, simple and ordinary joy and happiness, but also endless work and chores, as well as unpredictable difficulties. He, like you and me, solves problems when he encounters problems, does not question or entangle, and goes upstream for the ideal appearance. Meeting Jian Bing again, who Song Chen called "the goddess sister many years ago", the girl who was embedded in the warm sun and brought him a radiant light, was covered with icicles on the outside of her armor. What kind of story will happen when the little sun is close to the little ice cube? Load the little nest that accumulates love and light for him, and strive to run to the future, striving to chase the love in your heart, or a better self.
I like him very much! I like this young man who works hard with everyone in the parallel world and sticks to what he loves in his heart. During the time when Jian Bing walked into Sheng Yang's life, she gave Sheng Yang a lot of energy and confidence in life. Yesterday was the first day of broadcasting. Like Sheng Yang, I walked in front of the audience nervously and confidently. I hope everyone will like the story we brought about the scorching sun accompanying my big family.

sharing food
in which we look for connections between venus, the moon, and the bottom half of the chart in scenarios about sharing food
Tumblr media
part one: eating out
click here for an easier reading experience (lol sorry)
warnings: brief mention of obsession
word count: 1.8k
golden pt. 2 | berhana ft. mereba
helpful asteroids
ceres (1) – what you need to nourish yourself and how you nourish others; the mother goddess of agriculture
juno (3) – relationship ideals, what commitment looks like for you; the queen goddess of love and marriage
ambrosia (193) – your soul food; the mythical food of the gods that granted a life of immortality
lets you have a bite
|| “use my fork / bite where I just bit”
Person A wants to share, all of Person B’s germs aside
connections between a venutian/saturnian (taurus, libra / capricorn, aquarius) ambrosia, venutian/fire (taurus, libra / aries, leo, sagittarius) mars, and/or martian/saturnian (aries, scorpio / capricorn, aquarius) venus came up a lot as I perused charts for patterns indicative of such intimacy – the affectionate physicality possible at the hands of a taurus mars or aries venus, the flamboyant passions of a leo mars on fire, the fondness towards sharing food found in a libra ambrosia, and the desire to provide in a capricorn ambrosia or venus could all work together to put the concerns of bacteria aside (and also they kind of wanted you to eat off their fork anyway, so)
hard aspects, including conjunctions, between ceres, venus, and juno add a nice dose of intensity in a committed relationship, managing to pull some tension out of these rather romantic placements; when ceres meets venus or juno (a possible higher octave placement of venus), that desire to nurture and nourish runs a bit raw and the parallels between feeding someone as a partner and feeding someone as a mother become more clear: both are based in the strong, multi-faceted feelings of affection and idealistically unconditional love that venus-juno especially craves… so yeah, who cares? use my fork
|| “grab your own utensil”
A is mouth-conscious but still happy to share with B
yes, I did just say a capricorn venus would share forks, why are you asking? well, this is exactly why degrees and houses and aspects matter, because the influence of even the tiniest bit of virgo or 6H energy could flip that last observation on its head: a late capricorn venus, specifically one in the third decan (20°00 to 29°59), could be graced with some stereotypically germaphobic virgo characteristics, as would be a 6° or 18° placement – this would also apply to a capricorn mars in a virgo degree or decan conjunct venus or a trine between venus and a virgo mars; 6H placements are typically concerned with diet, exercise, and the physical body, so they would also apply
if ambrosia aspects ceres in a chart with prominent saturn and/or virgo placements, food-sharing may not demonstrate in the same hyper-affectionate ways we see in romantic media: virgo is notoriously health- and body-conscious and also a touch high-strung, so it may be more prone to setting boundaries around spit-swapping, though this depends on the placements and relationship in question; saturn, on the other hand, may approach attachment in a cooler and slightly distant manner, restricting displays of physical affection; still, ambrosia-ceres can make sharing food an important aspect of how someone approaches their relationships regardless, depending on where it falls in the chart
|| “have my strawberry!”
A saves the good dessert toppings for B
an aspected venus is typically a strong venus, and if it happens to connect with some of the placements mentioned (moon, ceres, ambrosia), food could be significant in one’s relationships, even more so if the venus lands in the bottom of the chart (1H - 6H); the lower hemisphere of the natal chart represents internal processes as compared to the external interests found in the upper half: from the construction of personal values and sensory-seeking behavior in the 2H to the creativity and inner child of the 5H, venus placements here will emphasize the internal concerns of relationships (how does one communicate with others? how do you build a life with another person?) and expression of those concerns can rely heavily on aspects in order to be realized; a 3H venus trine 7H ceres could communicate its fondness through nurturing others, giving someone just a bit of sweetness off its plate
there is no greater commitment than the passing of the strawberry, and venus-juno aspects are probably experts at making these little gestures feel much more grand than they may read on paper (or maybe I’m bad at writing them??); either way, everything, no matter how seemingly insignificant, can be an announcement of love for a venus-juno native, though look to the sign and house first for guidance on how one might express this desire for companionship to another
obsessive buying
|| “you said you liked this once, so I’ll order it for you again!”
A remembers what B likes (for the fourth time now)
when I think of obsession in the chart, squares, oppositions, and conjunctions are the main aspects that come to mind (this can also include minor squares such as the sesquisquare and semi-square), and when they end up between venus and mars placements… things are going to get intense: the uncontrolled energy of mars as applied to a relationship-concerned venus can manifest as someone going far out of their way to please another – it’s almost as if mars plays the role of some sort of trigger to venus’ desire to impress those its interested in. of course this sort of behavior can exist outside of obsession; for someone with a prominent venus-mars, this may just be how they assert themselves in social situations
both ceres and ambrosia could be considered higher octaves of the moon, but for very different reasons: the moon is both a planetary representation of the mother and an expression of one’s emotional needs, hence why food and nourishment are intrinsically connected to it – ceres furthers the motherly energy, expanding the desire to be nourished with the desire to nourish, while ambrosia ties base emotional needs and reactions to the spiritual. when jupiter touches either placement, it can amplify and broaden or, in the case of the square, strain: there is a limit to how inflated a balloon can become before it pops, and the friction introduced by a square certainly doesn’t help, setting the glowing joy and charisma of jupiter on fire – in short, it takes a good thing (sharing food to express affection) and overdoes it
|| “no seriously, have all of them! I got them just for you!”
A buys B more than B can handle
the expanding energy of jupiter meeting venus in an earth or air trine reads as free-flowing abundance and generosity in relationships – air is society-facing and concerned with other people while earth is more involved in its external environment and the things it has. although taurus and libra are both ruled by venus, dealing with finances, aesthetics, and all different forms of relationships and love, taurus is more likely to overexert itself in this manner because it feels that less is simply not enough for the level of stability and comfort it wants to provide, whereas libra may become indecisive about what the right choice is and overcompensate for its fears of not being able to satisfy the wants and needs of a partner
mars in emphatic connection (conjunction, opposition) to ambrosia puts grand, spiritual ideas surrounding food into action: if food and food-sharing are viewed as a sort of conduit, mars can send that energy into overdrive, resulting in the sort of overeager hyperactivity seen in the scenario. activation of the bottom half of the chart (1H - 6H) by ambrosia or the moon could make the experience of food a bit more personal, especially conjunct the IC, the most private point of consciousness found in the chart – one may be more likely to overextend (or underextend) themselves in situations where they feel such a deep emotional connection to a defining theme
|| “put your card away, I’ll pay! get everything you want! no, medium boba is too small…”
A treats B, but forcefully somehow?
the indulgent, service-oriented, or saturnian materialism of an earth venus squaring or opposing a ceres marked by mars or jupiter (aries, scorpio / sagittarius, pisces) suggests the spending of money as an outlet for the aggressive, all-encompassing need to mother nurture a partner – the presence of the hard aspect here could quickly push this from rash to overbearing, but that can depend on how the other person receives it. virgo venus opposite pisces ceres at its most intense could present as something akin to financial worship/submission, abandoning one’s own self-worth while thinking that they can heal someone by throwing money and physical nourishment at them
the internal conflict of fixed squares, oppositions, and also conjunctions can lead to stand-offs in and outside of one’s head (like dueling cowboys in a Western, the fight isn’t ending until someone gets shot), and this contributes to that overbearing energy – imagine a scorpio ceres aspecting a mars in another fixed sign (taurus, leo, scorpio, aquarius): the double dose of both martian and fixed energy could shove good intentions right off the edge… of a cliff
chef's special
|| “you don’t like yours? let’s switch!”
A swaps plates for B’s less-appetizing meal
I expected a bunch of self-sacrificial virgo here, and instead found duty: heavy jupiterian and saturnian (sagittarius, pisces / capricorn, aquarius) placements portraying the responsibility of a father figure in keeping the wife and kids happy, especially during the outings he pays for; ceres and jupiter in particular were quite prominent, the goddess of motherhood and god/father of the sky further detailing the call to take care of another through their aspects to personal planets
if the eighth house represents the intangible things we share, the second house brings the same idea into the material world – this makes it the food-sharing center, and the central house for this analysis. bodies making squares from the 11H may activate the 2H through the pressure of and desire to live up to societal expectations (specifically the feeling that one should swap plates); an opposition from an 8H placement might manifest as someone sharing physical items and sensory experiences as a channel for expressing those lovely water house emotions (swapping plates as a declaration of one’s affections); trines with the 6H unite food as indulgence and food as routine self-nourishment, representing the process by which sharing food with another suddenly becomes a Regular Thing™ (when both parties’ needs are linked, compromise feels natural)
hi y'all! this series is a result of me experimenting with a bunch of charts and paring down to find patterns, so while many things may not specifically resonate, the general themes could be there. remember that your chart works as a whole, not as individual placements, and feel free to let me know what you think

If you think about it, Claude and Dimitri's stories both trash what you're supposedly fighting for in Flower.
Dimitri's route demolishes the ideals she's supposedly fighting for by depicting them as uncaring about the weak and goes so far as to make Edelgard into a monster seeking world domination because of them. Edelgard can talk about how people will be sacrificed by the current state of the world, but if she's willing to sacrifice others to obtain the world she wants as well as writes off those who will suffer because of her reforms, specified as the weak, it becomes clear she isn't doing this for others.
With Claude, we get the true history as well as it being overtly said that Edelgard was merely a pawn for the Agarthans. If we run parallels between him and Edelgard, Tomas trying to slip him information to turn him against Rhea would indicate they did the same thing to Edelgard, which would sync with her claims of secret knowledge passed down from her father who Flower confirms was a puppet of TWSITD. We can also say there's a good parallel between Claude working with the Church and Edelgard working with TWSITD, the both are agaisnt their partners at the onset but while the Church's influence helps turn Claude into a hero TWSITD's turns Edelgard into a villain.
But then you have Flower itself. Edelgard subverts her supposed meritocratic ideals while she gives such a little crap about exposing the truth she's always willing to lie and manipulate others. Paying attention to the script, you notice inconsistencies with her claims at various points, the biggest one being that Hubert suggests that she does know the truth about the experiments and her father but she's still willing to string you along with her self-serving narrative. Hell, she says the Church is bad because the Goddess didn't answer her prayers, but at the end of the route she flat out says she was never a believer.
So we have Edelgard telling lies rather than the truth despite knowing the truth, all to make herself look good. This extends back into White Clouds, where she says she wishes Byleth could have been swayed if they fight and how she'd do anything to do so. Edelgard lies to the player, and part of the story of Silver Snow is breaking things off with her. Breaking things off with your lord character, the one your avatar would usually serve as a right-hand to while the lord serves as a paragon. That relationship is gone in Silver Snow, instead the lord needs to be stopped because they're working with the bad guys and seeking total conquest.
This... actually makes a good bit of sense. The worldbuilding is confirmed to be done to support Silver Snow's story. Azure Moon and Verdant Wind, complete routes in their own right, supplement that story. Moon is the one to tackle and address Edelgard's ideals, while Wind goes actually takes the time to explain who the Agarthans are and what they're after. It paints Edelgard more as a victim of them, but then you play Flower and you start realizing that's not entirely true either. She knows the truth, she's willing to lie and manipulate you in order to get your help, and she can ultimately have the Agarthans taken out in the shadows rather than exposing them to the light. In this case, as well as Moon, it paints her as a legitimate threat in her own right. That while they were the one to push her down this path, she commits to it on her own and they need her probably more than she needs them (especially when Hopes is taken into consideration). She has power in their relationship, and she's using that to gain more power and reshape Fodlan based on her ideals. Ideals they might have instilled in her and are ultimately toxic in nature, but they are what Edelgard believes in and won't give up.
If you actually look at this it shows how Edelgard's path is that of the beast, the antithesis of Nirvana. Edelgard is so attached to her ideals she's going to start and continue the war until she wins or dies trying. Likewise, attachment can also be read as greed, symbolizing Edelgard consolidating power onto herself. These ideals are toxic and it's made out that she knows the truth on some level, just looks the other way. Therefore, it's not a matter of ignorance with her (but it can be with the player) but delusion. Finally, it's not that she's averse to the Church like Claude is, she just hates it because it's teachings go against her delusional ideals. She believes it makes people weak. These factors start feeding into each other, resulting in a ruler who will hurt and kill the innocent in pursuit of her goals. Edelgard represents the three poisons and how they can cloud the mind, preventing someone from turning to goodness. In addition, war is said to be caused by hatred/aversion/anger, while Edelgard's war causes the people to starve especially in the Empire as per Ferdie's paralogue as well as the thieves on the Enbarr map. Famine is said to be caused by greed/attachment. Delusion/ignorance/foolishness is said to cause plague, while Edelgard ends up involved with Remire. And together, the three are said to increase and empower earthly desires, causing false views to flourish.
Not only that, but the war, famine and pestilence would link to Hadou, as those are meant to be signs that the leader has lost heaven's mandate. Edelgard's involved with an outbreak, she starts a war and starves her people. All of this is meant to illustrate WHY her path is hadou.
White Clouds shows why Edelgard needs to be stopped even before she takes the throne.

Hey gotta do my part in giving Kasala content of his own cause seeing his tags empty hurts my soul 🥲
What if reader still has eleazar even after being reincarnated though just think about how protective Cyno would be
Mini headcanon: imagine you two having a wedding ceremony or something and greater lord rukkhadevata decided to come over to give reader and Kasala some desert resistant flowers as a congratulating gift
Then later in private reader used the flowers to braid with Kasala's hair (you can't convince me his hair isn't silky smooth)
And then in present day Cyno wants to repay the reader for it(if the reader has long hair). He ended up doing pretty badly and made a disaster of reader's hair but it's the thought that counts right?
Okay so idk how you'd feel about this but I have thoughts
So recently I have been seeing people speculating that Alhaitham is a reincarnated scarlet king and saw how you said you wanted more simps of him so I started blasting
So may I humbly change the au into a poly with Alhaitham included? Cause there's just so much angst potential with the dynamic the three would have
Honorable mentions to my partner for being the reason I could come up with these cause he really is the Cyno to my Alhaitham
- Vagabond Anon
(related to this post)
Ah! Fellow Kasala simp gracing us again with content! *kneels and bows down to floor*
NO NO DON'T CROSS THAT OUT OMAYGHAD THAT'S ACTUALLY HHHHH I LOVE THAT SO MUCH, I IMMEDIATELY THOUGHT OF A SCENARIO like like what what if they didn't tell Cyno or he wasn't informed about it at all?
I was thinking since Eremites are into arts and Cyno's a stalker/lh he was watching them either dance or play a song with their Eremites gang (you know, the enemy idles) when their Eleazar suddenly acted up and he was quick to escort then back to Aaru Village. Reader is still apprehensive about him at this point of the relationship but they're starting to open up after realizing they might die soon.
"This whole reincarnation bullshit... are we really... fated to be together?" Cyno didn't answer as he adjusts your arm around his shoulder. Didn't have to, he knows you know what he would have said.
"If so," a cough from you finally pulled his focused gaze away from the glimpse of Aaru Village in the distance to look. The somberness of your expression took him aback, paired together with the fatigue from your sickness. It hurts to look at. "Am I also fated to leave you every time?"
I hate you, I hate you *adding on to to-do list* but but the flower thing looks so cute! I'm sorry I got distracted by the angst ahahah - I like to think that it's the new version of Padisarahs that Rukkhadevata made as a gift! Like the first of its kind! I'm also kind of a whore for the analogy that Kasala and Reader are also kind of parallels of King Deshret and Goddess of Flowers.
And as thanks to his most loyal priest, he blessed them with a love never ending. OMAYGHAD IMAGINE THIS EXTENDS TO A MODERN AU SKSJSKSKS *BANGING ON TABLE*
I would love a sandwich like that too but hhhh I can't really imagine it knowing that he was down bad for the Goddess of Flowers even till death, unless *strokes chin* He thinks that the Goddess of Flowers reminds him of you hmm, I did try and think of that pairing before but it wasn't really sfw haha,,,

50 Days of HypnoFetish - Day 10: Trance Edging
Alignment: 95% Top. Sunrise gets 5%. As a treat.
CW: trance language to start this entry
Don't fall into trance.
Just focus on me. On my words.
Hear my voice. Sense my presence.
Look into my eyes. Feel my grip on you.
Notice how heavy your mind is becoming, so quick and so easily.
Don't. Sink. Don't. Drop.
Just listen. Just focus. Just follow...
Maybe you'll start realizing how much your mind already finds itself guided down towards that familiar trance sensation. Perhaps it's a freeing feeling of weightlessness and clarity or maybe it's a blank and empty feeling of heavy mindlessness.
Either way. Don't fall in to trance.
---
I love doing this to a particularly susceptible partner and there is no one more susceptible in the world than @soveryverytired - I have joked I want to create a class for conventions that is designed around the idea of introducing the Sleepyhead Scale of susceptibility as a parallel to the Esdaile State of depth.
Sleepyhead is so susceptible that Goddess actively trains me to be more like her as part of my conditioning--
So when you find yourself as someone who prides themselves on their technical knowledge and skills in hypnosis, how do you keep your skills sharp when you only work with people who would drop at a sharp gaze?
You use their obedience against them.
"And when I next wake you up you'll naturally find that no matter how much you desire trance, you will be unable to let go and surrender until I give you permission. The more you want to sink the more your obedient mind will understand that it needs permission. Do you understand?"
And then... well, what I wrote at the top applies.
I enjoy so very much of the process here. Resistance play, eye flutters, pleading. They will all get their own entries in this 50 day challenge.
It's like through one action I am served all of the little treats that make my heart flutter.
Sometimes their head will dip and they'll fight themselves to stay with me, and I won't let them fade away, not without permission. Their eyes drooping and lulling but never fully closing.
Sometimes they will whimper with every sharply spoken word that implies trance but does not permit it. Their submission growing with their desperation. Desperation mounting until they begin pleading.
And then when I finally let them sink, when I end the tantalizing torment of my temptation? Oh how heavy and deep they drop.
I LOVE it.

For Étoile!
🍳: Are they good at cooking? Do they like to? Why and how did they learn to cook, or, if they didn't, why didn't they?
😳: How easily are they embarrassed/flustered? What sorts of things catch them off-guard and make them lose their cool?
🏁: What do they consider to be their main goal in life, the thing that motivates most of their actions?
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦: What is their family like? Are there any family members that are particularly influential and/or important to them (whether in a positive or negative sense)?
🌹: Are they experienced romantically? How many romantic partners have they had? How has this affected their view of romance?
🫂: How are they with casual physical touch? Do they have different boundaries based on how well they know a person? Is there a specific reason behind their comfort level?
Thank you for the ask! o(^▽^)o
🍳: Are they good at cooking? Do they like to? Why and how did they learn to cook, or, if they didn't, why didn't they?
I've described them before as being decent / good at cooking. Capable of taking over the cooking duties at camp, but not making dishes that they're often satisfied with - like being able to prepare a roast, but appreciating it more if a person with more skill is making it rather than them. Largely they'd have been taught by their mothers how to cook in their first century or so on their mountain, for survival, for comfort and for community.
😳: How easily are they embarrassed/flustered? What sorts of things catch them off-guard and make them lose their cool?
A fair amount? Personal insecurities in how they conduct themself and the things they say in private conversations can certainly make them embarrassed of themself. Sexual acts and conversations do not fluster them. Pet names and other romantic language being overheard or private dynamics and boundaries being exposed would embarrass them however. Crass language wouldn't fluster them. I'm having a hard time thinking of more possibilities...
🏁: What do they consider to be their main goal in life, the thing that motivates most of their actions?
Answered here.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦: What is their family like? Are there any family members that are particularly influential and/or important to them (whether in a positive or negative sense)?
Étoile is the adopted child of my skyrim oc Wylla and the skyrim npc Aranea Ienith, who I've adopted as an oc for the purpose of bg3 / dnd / other setting(s).
In the bg3 engine 2023:

Wylla in skyrim 2018:

This means that they're the nephew of my skyrim oc Oretia, and maybe @/esaari's oc Philip if either of us ever revisit that (the stagnation was my fault and my shame).

esaari's philip tag: HERE.
Philip was the Archmage to his brother, the dragonborn Sullevan.
esaari's sullevan tag: HERE.
I do still like parallels to that larger world. Oretia was spared lycanthropy, but much of Étoile's extended family were werewolves under the full moon, and their mother. It made their isolated youth even stranger than it would have been if their mothers were simply recluses. They had to learn patience and how to deal with the long silences and harsh winters and deep threats of good men and evil spirits and creatures that are all together their own beasts, all under the zealous guidance of their mothers who worshipped a neutral evil goddess, Auril.
As an elf with a lot of adoptive human extended family, they outlived any who would recognize the relation.
Wylla is important to them in her virtues and the secret of her lycanthropy is precious to Étoile even decades after her passing, but no more important than her honour and the memory of her.
Aranea is important to them as an ongoing presence, an anchor, a confidant, and a parent in their life. Both Wylla and Étoile found Auril due to Aranea's faith, it has shaped Étoile, and not in a way that brings forth any regrets.
A little post from me about the dynamic between Étoile and Aranea: HERE.
And while I'm talking about them here, I'll share this thing I said in private with a friend:
i'm thinking of étoile telling astarion that wylla was the more physically affectionate of their two mothers and that they don't need to worry about aranea doting on them (both) or otherwise being embarrassing. and while she held them when they needed it, they can also maybe count on one hand the number of times she initiated a hug between them but if étoile survives the story and gets a chance to travel home for a while that aranea would drop anything and race across the snow to hold her child after all she's heard of the news out of baldur's gate
🌹: Are they experienced romantically? How many romantic partners have they had? How has this affected their view of romance?
Answered here.
🫂: How are they with casual physical touch? Do they have different boundaries based on how well they know a person? Is there a specific reason behind their comfort level?
Of course there's tons of people they would not want touching them, but I've also described that Étoile wants to hug their friends — restraining themself to their friends' comfort, like with a hand on a shoulder or not-entirely. They are very comfortable with casual touch with friends and lovers. I don't know there's a reason behind it. They want to experience life and that includes tactile senses and physical comfort, and they wouldn't want to only touch their friends in combat training or injury.

Volume 9: A form of reincarnation, the main character drowning in her mistakes but choosing herself bc she is enough mistakes and all, the many themes of stagnation being the real stunted of growth, two partners expression their feelings in a healthy way that isn’t born from desperation or frustration that has a happy immediate ending, many callbacks to the main plot via Weiss still haunted by Atlas, the theme that it’s never too late to change and you can always grow, The Brothers Origin Story and the parallel between the cat and the jabberwalker. Ruby not once but TWICE inspiring someone to fight or change or be better. The stunning visuals that ALL COST MONEY
Critics: I can’t believe this didn’t have anything to do with the main plot of the immortal goddess who is a cursed human and can’t die or change and the immortal reincarnation of a warrior who is cursed to end the woman he once loved bc they were both lied to and were afraid to tell the truth to each other. The message that one nice act of kindness and a small spark of hope resulting in a coming together of people who were inspired by that one small act to fight against all odds. Total filler

Elain as Blodeuwedd, Goddess of Sovereignty
Continuing my deep dive into the mythos of Blodeuwedd and how it pertains to Elain, I found more interesting passages about the connection between her preordained husband, Lleu, herself, and her chosen lover Gronw. Additionally, some other interesting bits of information that may have served as inspiration for where SJM is taking the story…
Lack of Voice
Tumblr media
“Blodeuwedd does not even speak in her own myth until she awakens to her own sense of agency” - so we literally do not hear her words or her voice until she meets Gronw, falls in love with him, and starts making her own decisions driven by her own desires. Prior to that, she is simply “Lleu’s wife”, made from flowers, for the sole purpose of being his partner.
When we finally hear her have a conversation with Lleu, her husband, she does so through deception, by using her “feminine wiles” and by playing exactly into the “simple, pretty” stereotype he thinks she is in order to get information out of him. This shows us Blodeuwedd’s propensity for charm, as well as her humility to play into that role in order to achieve her own ends.
Not just a simple “flower face” afterall.
The comparisons to Elain, and her mating bond, here are, again, obvious. The most glaring one is the fact that Elain “grows claws” and “becomes interesting” around ACOFAS & ACOSF when it seems she has come out of the murky realms and has started making decisions about her life and how she wants to spend her time (this is also around the time she develops feelings for Azriel...). She’s been very much in the background for five novels, and only when she speaks up against Nesta do people outside of Azriel & Rhys start to notice her. We haven’t even heard her POV; she has no voice outside of other people’s impressions and expectations of her...and that impression seems to be limited to quiet, simple, girl who likes gardening.
Similarly, L*cien casts her in the very same light as everyone else, as was made obvious by the gifting of the enchanted gloves when we knew Elain preferred to allow her hands to be scarred through the act of gardening.
We know she can charm anyone into doing anything, as we saw in ACOMAF when she cleared the house of servants, and that SJM has already set up many clues about spy training. Blodeuwedd uses her charm as a tool for her own freedom, but Elain will most likely start using it as a political tool to help the Night Court, and maybe as a tool for her own gain, as well. I am 100% certain Elain will use her established image of the “pretty, simply gardening girl” as a dangerous weapon to wield in the battlefield of spying and gleaning information.
Fate & Consent
Tumblr media
“She is locked into this fate; it is.. her very purpose”
The lack of Blodeuwedd’s consent on her marraige to Lleu is the elephant in the room of her entire story. She was created for the sole purpose of being his wife – something that was arranged ONLY as part of a societal checklist required for Lleu to achieve his manhood. He wasn’t seeking love, or romance, or even a union. She was magicked into being (using flowers) ONLY to be this man’s wife.
Obviously, we can see parallels to Elain’s mating bond to Lucien here, in that she really wasn’t given any choice in the matter and that the bond *seems to* have been created, or even gifted, by the Cauldron itself. (Not only that, but Elain herself was gifted additional powers by the cauldron, and she is constantly surrounded in imagery of The Mother and of Flowers. A girl who seems unlike anyone around her… “Made” by magic.) Elain’s hope that “love would trump a mating bond”, her exclamation that she “does not want a mate”, and even her claim that “she belongs to nobody” gives us a very clear view into the stirrings of her heart - that she wants a love that is reciprocated, that she wants to choose whom she gives her heart to.
Continuing with this….
The Trickery of Fate
Blodeuwedd’s marriage to Lleu was also born, kind of, as an act of rebellion. Lleu had a forced fate imposed on him declaring that he could not marry a mortal girl, and so Blodeuwedd was created to be something not-human for him to circumvent that Fate and take a wife. But there are a few scholarly disputes to the validity of their marriage based on the nine forms of legal marriage recognized by Welsh law at the time (and which people would have been aware of when listening to her myth).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here we see that her marriage to Lleu was, in fact, *false* based on the criteria needed to be a legal union per Welsh law (for someone without a family to give consent... since Blodeuwedd was created from magic she has no family). On the otherhand, Blodeuwedd CHOOSES to act out the required criteria for a legal union with her lover Gronw.
Now, compare this to the criteria we are all familiar with to recognize a mating bond... and how Elain/L*cien’s bond seems strained and “tied to a rib”, how he can’t stand to be in the same room as her, how she pushes him away, etc. Meanwhile, Azriel displays very mate-like behavior towards Elain, and she has proven herself to reciprocate his attraction and love for her. They do this by choice, not because fate is driving them together.
This also brings into question the countless theories surrounding a fake mating bond, which I won’t go into here, but it would parallel the myth when viewed from an academic lens.
Non-Romantic Etc...
Tumblr media
This is simply an interesting tidbit thrown into the texts that I’m reading. Gwydion is Lleu’s father and Gilfaethwy is his brother, can shift forms into animals (long story, has to do with a punishment and a curse, etc). They shift into FEMALE animals and bear children to each other by “harnessing the regenerative power inherent in their transformed bodies”. The changing of their gender via transformation into animal form is what stands out to me, primarily because of the conversation with Amren at the dinner table. ….. Make of this what you will. It’s too on-the-nose to be a coincidence.

Xiao Zhan Weibo Update 230901
The scorching sun accompanies me and you 🌞
Tumblr media
Back to the warm home in the parallel world. The orderly and warm nest in the chaos contains the energy and imprint of little Shengyang's growth in this space. Coupled with the happy smiling faces of Lao Sheng and Meijuan'er, they complement each other perfectly.
For me, the difference between Sheng Yang and the characters I have played in the past is that he is closer to life. He is like you and me. There are family members, partners, simple and ordinary joy and happiness, as well as endless work and chores, and unpredictable difficulties. He is just like you and me, he solves problems when he encounters them, does not question or get entangled, and follows the trend for his ideal appearance. Meeting Jian Bing again, the "goddess sister from many years ago" in Song Chen's mouth, the girl embedded in the warm sun who once brought him endless light, had ice particles hanging on the outside of her armor. What kind of story will happen when the little sun gets close to the little ice cube? Load up the little nest that stores love and light for him, run hard towards the future, and strive to pursue the love in his heart, or a better self.
I like him very much! I like this young man who works hard with everyone in the parallel world and sticks to what he loves in his heart. During those times when Jian Bing entered Shengyang's life, she gave Shengyang a lot of energy and confidence in life. Yesterday was the first day of broadcasting. Like Sheng Yang, I walked in front of the audience nervously and confidently. I hope everyone will like the story we brought about the scorching sun accompanying my big family.

Summary of Susanoo and Susabi Event
This is the only post where I will issue a warning, next (see the change in the blog rules!) I won't do it
Spoilers of the Millennial Guardian event!
Tumblr media
In the world in which Seimei lives and in which we are considered an onmyoji player, Izanagi is officially dead and if he tries to come to this world, the world will expel him, because he violates ITS rules, because Izanagi is dead
Izanagi is not named as the father of the three divine children
Izanagi wanted Susanoo to call him "Father"
Izanagi was looking for a god partner in parallel worlds so that he/she could replace him. He wanted to live his life in a way that was different from everything he had done before. Thus, Izanagi wanted to tell Susanoo that he would like him to become his successor, but he does not want to force him to make this decision forcibly and therefore accepts Susanoo's decision
At the moment, Izanagi is in Yomi no kuni, he is holding back the Aether so that it does not destroy the rest of the worlds, so he cannot leave from there
Izanagi can observe events in all worlds because the sun and moon are his eyes according to him
Susanoo has a necklace made of storm jade that Izanagi gave him, so he plans to visit his adoptive father from time to time. Susanoo hopes to surprise him with this
The real Tsukuyomi is Susabi. He refused to take the name Tsukuyomi because he still respects his mentor and feels more comfortable with that name
Tsukuyomi we saw before this event is one of the evil gods. He is the god of lies. He wonders why Orochi didn't worry too much about the fact that he didn't find all the evil gods
Fake Tsukuyomi doesn't care about his gender. They can be either a man or a woman (However, for headcannons, I will use an exclusively male version with a mention of the possibility of a sex change)
At the end of the event, Susanoo sealed the god of lies, one of the avatars of Amaterasu, fake Tsukuyomi in his sword Ame no Habakiri
Susanoo officially handed over his Ame no Habakiri sword to Seimei. He said that despite the strict conditions of possession of the sword, the main thing is still the heart and will of its owner. The sword accepted Seimei as its owner. Also, with the help of a sword, he will be able to summon the god of thunder and lightning
After everything is over and the evil gods are sealed or destroyed, Susanoo will return to the Sea Plains
Susanoo also said that he will fight with Orochi in the present time in this world because the evil god owes him a duel
Susabi sent an emissary to find clues on how to wake up the sun goddess. In the near future we will see the return of the goddess Amaterasu
Susabi will lead the gods of prophecy
After his birth, Susanoo destroyed the hall in Takamagahara, which belonged to Amaterasu, because of which he was immediately shunned and thought that one day he would betray the gods. It was also said that he insulted the sun goddess by doing so. No one but Izanagi accepted him
Young Susanoo was limited in strength by the shackles of Izanagi
He did not like the sacred and too serious land of the gods and therefore often escaped to the mortal world, where there were emotions such as sadness and joy
He was reckless until he got caught up in a massacre between demons and humans. All his friends were killed, he himself was forced to watch it, monsters drank his blood, broke his bones, tortured him. I was especially shocked by the fact that he was forced to eat the meat of murdered people. All this brought the young god into such a clouded state of mind that he completely stopped feeling any pain. The monsters didn't have the power to kill the god, so they tried to trick him into destroying his godhood, but Susanoo was saved by Izanagi
He vowed to one day become as strong as Izanagi so that he could become someone who could protect the others, even if it meant his own death
Susanoo grew up on the Sea Plains almost alone, as Izanagi was a Warrior God and was often absent from home. Therefore, Izanagi often brought cubs of various mythical monsters so that Susanoo would not feel lonely
It seems that when Izanagi saved Susanoo, he sacrificed his immortality so that Susanoo could live (OTHERWISE I DON'T UNDERSTAND AT WHAT POINT THIS DUDE LOST HIS IMMORTALITY). Therefore, in the last battle with the evil gods, Izanagi was killed. Susanoo's psyche couldn't handle it and blocked the real memories of it. He convinced himself that his adoptive father was alive, told his mythical monster friends about it
He remembered this cruel truth when he traveled to other worlds and almost got lost, but was saved again by his adoptive father Izanagi
If you find any mistakes or don't understand something, please write about it
