[World Heroes 2 Jet & The King of Fighters '97] : Zeus & Orochi Yashiro

Zeus' intro/taunt animation and Orochi Yashiro's standing animation look pretty similar and after making a few modification to them, they look even more alike.

For this comparison, I removed a few frames from Zeus's stance and reversed the animation on Orochi Yashiro's.

Figure collecting: Kyo Kusanagi vs Iori Yagami from The King of Fighters ‘97

(Man I was so excited when this arrived yesterday that my hubby was hovering over my shoulder, reminding me of the time, as we had a reservation for our anniversary dinner lol...)

This is by far my most extravagant figure purchase to date: a 1:6 scale resin statue set of Kyo Kusanagi vs. Iori Yagami, KoF ‘97 style, from Revive Studio.  

I'm not much of a gamer so I have very little interest in the games themselves, but I've been a big Iori Yagami fan ever since someone introduced me to the concept of rival pairings (ahhh non-canon rival pairings, so delicious!) and yaoi in general.  And punk fashion as well, as I did NOT get the concept of the bondage strap at the time (incidentally they’re more comfortable to wear than you’d think, though I do occasionally get caught on a chair : 3)  

Long story short, I still hold a nostalgia candle for these two.  While (sadly) there’s zero fan service going on here, this is about as close as I've gotten to a good looking Iori AND Kyo, facing off.
