HAPPY 8TH ANNIVERSARY OF YUGIOH THE DARK SIDE OF DIMENSIONS🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

8 years ago even a few weeks before this game-changing gay movie was out, I knew my life as a longtime Yugioh fan, as well as my life in general, would never be the same. I owe the DSoD a bunch: I drew hundreds of pieces of fan art; I met awesome friends both online and in person; and most importantly, the DSoD was what significantly helped me get through hard times. 🥹🥹

I tried the pixel art style this time. I'm not sure it worked the way I had intended to, but I did my best😆

Atem frowned at Yugi’s cheerfully oblivious face.  He sighed.  His shoulders relaxed.  It wasn’t Yugi’s fault that the thought of one more world, one more option, made Atem feel like he’d just been pushed into the morass he’d spent the week climbing his way out of.  It wasn’t Yugi’s fault that he knew his name was Atem, but was still discovering who Atem was.  And it wasn’t Yugi’s fault that every word reminded him of the jackass he’d fallen in love with.

I find it worse that it was preceded by Trevor's declaration that "nobody was ever lonely in this house" as he offered Sypha half his sheet for the night. And Sypha repeats it at the end before nodding off. No one bothered to ask Alucard if he'd like to join them.

Original post here. Took me a few months due to laziness, but I finally got backdrops fitted and lights installed, and added a few new things, so the shelves are a bit fuller : )

Dark Magicians and Yami's Duel Monsters shelf:

Egyptian themed shelf:

Seto Kaiba and Blue Eyes shelf:

I swapped the 2nd and 3rd shelves from the original layout - slightly nervewracking having a 20 lb statue on the middle shelf, but at least that minimizes the visual interruption of the horizontal support bar.

Also not 100% sold on the 3rd shelf backdrop, the blue circuit board looks okay from a distance but it gets busier the closer you get. I might end up doing a space one instead, if it gets to be too much.

Thank goodness this is slated to be 1:7, especially since the preview silhouette shows a fairly weighty base. Four different editions announced so one might have a light up base (or a more elaborate base *barf*), and then different accessories or recoloring like their original 1:4 did.

I honestly expected a Maria statue to be the next one up : / My trio is lacking their third.
