I’ve seen many people do end-of-the-year rankings of the dramas they watched, so here is mine! I’m ranking them in order from the ones I enjoyed the most to the ones I enjoyed the least. This is not a reflection on the actual quality of the dramas and is based exclusively on how much I subjectively liked them.
1. Monarch Industry
Tumblr media
Favourite drama of the year and possibly my favourite drama ever! It’s so good! Xiao Qi owns my entire heart! Warmly recommended 🖤
2. Black Sails
Tumblr media
A most excellent show. Highly recommended.
3. Love Like the Galaxy
Tumblr media
I loved this drama so much! Shaoshang is the best female lead of the year, hands down! I adore her! Plus, this is the drama that turned me into a Wu Lei fan, I’ve watched ep. 48 so many times!
4. Gold Panning
Tumblr media
I was very antagonistic towards this drama when I first started watching it but luckily, I stuck with it and it turned out to be SO GOOD. It’s very grimy and dark, but it was such a good watch! Highly recommended. It is the type of drama that you can admit to watching and recommend in any company without feeling embarrassed. I want more roles like this for Chen Feiyu.
5. The Great Shaolin
Tumblr media
This one started out SO GOOD, I was certain it would top all the dramas I ever watched, but then it devolved in the second half and did not live up to its promise. I’m still mad, but Zhou Yiwei is perfection and the good parts of this drama were amazing, so it still made it pretty high up on this list.
6. Kevin Can F*** Himself
Tumblr media
I am normally not a fan of comedies, but this one was excellent. Highly recommended!
7. Kingdom
Tumblr media
I’m just not a fan of zombies, so unfortunately, this one cannot go higher, but it is so well done! I very much recommend this drama if you like horror and have high tolerance for gore.
8. Love Between Fairy and Devil
Tumblr media
This was such a cute and hilarious watch, I loved it so much! It does not quite reach the level of the best drama of the year for me the way it did for some people, but it was still a good time! Highly recommended!
9. King’s War
Tumblr media
I still can’t believe I made it through this entire drama without skipping! I loved it, but I’m cautious about recommending it because it is very long and very grim. It is just perfect for history lovers but maybe less so for people just looking for some entertainment.
10. Kinnporsche
Tumblr media
This one would have made it way higher on the list if it had been a few episodes shorter. I completely lost interest when the whole Tawan subplot took over and I never really recovered it.
11. The Longest Day in Chang’an
Tumblr media
I fully admit I watched this only for Zhou Yiwei. His performance alone would put this drama right at the top, but unfortunately, the rest of it just dragged and was full of plot holes and unlikeable characters. Lots of people sing praises for this drama but other than Zhou Yiwei’s part in it, I did not enjoy it at all.
12. Light Chaser Rescue
Tumblr media
This is definitely not the worst thing I ever watched but I only recommend it if you are a Luo Yunxi fan, lol.
13. Killer and Healer
Tumblr media
I cannot think of a single thing to recommend when it comes to this mess.

Reading that novel with monk ML reminded me that I kept meaning to watch The Great Shaolin with Zhou Yiwei as a monk protag.
It’s supposed to be really dark and really good and I got my hands on superior Russian subs (but it’s on YouTube with OK English ones if you don’t speak Russian.)
Wish me luck!!!

dude I was looking through clips for a reference image and it literally makes me sick with anger that Genndy chose to portray Africa like That. Literally racist caricatures like come onnnn man. The worst part is that I really want to LIKE that episode aside from the art direction. His mentor is a very sweet guy and I like Jack’s little rivalry with the other kid. I dislike that Jack has to save everyone and the other tribe is portrayed even worse, but at least Jack isn’t fighting by his fucking self the whole scene. there was so much potential in this episode if Genndy hadn’t been so fucking racist with his character designs. I do not fucking understand why he chose to make them absolutely pitch black in color. That’s not what humans look like. It’s like how he colors Jack straight up yellow sometimes. I know during the time this came out it was not very likely for bigotry to get called out but that had to have made some people uncomfortable. Jeeeeesus Christ. The guy portrayed China more respectfully than he portrayed literally any other culture including Japan lmao. Actually I take that back he gave quite a few Chinese characters racist accents. The man wanted a ‘multiethnic’ feel to his show but could not fucking stop being white and racist for it
#samurai jack#I HAAAAATE ITTTT#I love the character of the African Chief I just can’t stand his fucking character design. you didn’t deserve that king#I say he didn’t portray Japan well bc he barely even did. it was like some hand wavey Vibe of Japan and nothing concrete#he at least bothered to portray Shaolin monks without just making them aggressively Chinese#Genndy straight up knew more abt China than he did Japan bc there are SO many times#where what Genndy thinks is a Japanese culture thing is more just him considering all East Asians the same#listen I love samurai jack but I think it got away with this a little too easily. I think Genndy should get some flak for that#that whole ‘great ancestors’ prayer is cool and all but Jack wouldn’t be praying to them like in fucking Mulan. that’s not his religion.#in Japanese culture you can and do pray to your ancestors but not like. in the middle of nowhere in battle?#it made for a cool moment to show Jack wasnt abandoned by his culture but it was. not even a little accurate LOL#I GGUESS the argument could be made Jack was just sending a little prayer up but it still felt. off#not even people in China prayed like that to nebulous ancestors in the sky LOL#it’s just kind of an orientalist thing. idk maybe Genndy pulled the idea from somewhere like most of his Jack scenes but#it’s not Japanese in nature LOL#I can see it coming from a Conan scene. a goood chunk of Jack was inspired by Conan#anyway. the most accurate fucking Japanese culture scene was when the Jack robot was praying to what he could scrounge up as a small shrine#and it WASNT EVEN REAL JACK.

Hello ^^ How are ya? I just hope you're doing great! 💕
Okay, hear me out... Normally we see MK1 Lao and Raiden, or Kenshi and Johnny with reader... But how about: double penetration with Kenshi and Kung Lao? Just imagine the words these boys would whisper in your ear... Damn I'd be in heaven lol
Also, I really like your writing!!! It's awesome!
heaven on earth
a/n: don't mind me just yoinking that idea for the title.
pairing: kung lao x afab!reader x kenshi takahashi
warnings: nsfw (MDNI), pussy eating, finger fucking, clit slapping, degradation kink, praise kink, face slapping, dumbification, humiliation kink, overstimulation, slight breeding kink, creampies, blowjobs, choking kink
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kung Lao kisses you, squeezing your waist and your hips while his cock grinds into your pussy, and you clutch onto his uniform, whining into his mouth
Kenshi sucks hickeys into your neck, his hand dipping down to rub at your clit while his other hand gropes your ass, and your hips jerk backward to press against his cock
the swordsman groans into your neck, nipping at the sensitive skin as his fingers pinch your clit, and you moan into Kung Lao’s mouth
the Shaolin just chuckles and pulls back to admire the glossy look in your eyes and your swollen lips, and he hikes up one of your legs to rest on top of his hip
it gives more access to your pussy for Kenshi’s fingers, and he takes the opportunity to slide your clit between his fingers and listen to you beg for more
Kung Lao just coos, telling you to be patient and let the both of them enjoy your body for a little longer
Kenshi tells you to take it like a good whore and be happy with what you have
your head falls onto Kung Lao’s shoulder as Kenshi rubs your clit in fast hard circles, and you’re reaching the edge, hips grinding against his fingers and legs twitching
but he pulls away his hand at the last second, and you whine in disappointment, tears pricking at your eyes as your hips try to chase the feeling
Kenshi wraps his hand around your throat, and he growls in your ear to behave
his other hand takes your leg from Kung Lao’s hip, and he spreads your legs wider while Kung Lao sinks to his knees to come face-to-face with your drooling cunt
he spreads your folds with his fingers and lifts up the hood of your clit to watch it twitch
he brings his hand up and flicks at the sensitive nub, and you keen loudly, hips jerking away from the spark of pain and pleasure
Kung Lao laughs at your reaction and brings that hand to palm his erection while his other hand squeezes your thigh
he latches onto your clit, sucking and flicking it back and forth with his tongue while looking up to watch your reaction
your head is thrown back against Kenshi’s shoulder, and the swordsman presses his hand deeper into your neck, making your mind spin from the pressure
your leg twitches in Kenshi’s hand, and he tells you to keep your fucking legs spread
he whispers into your ear that you’re such a whore, opening your legs for them so easily, and that you should be grateful that they’re fucking your greedy pussy
you let out a choked moan at his words, and Kung Lao takes the opportunity to slide his fingers into you, curling his fingers to make you arch and cum on his fingers
you sob as Kung Lao sucks on your sensitive clit, and your pussy clenches down on his fingers
but he keeps licking your clit and fucking you on your fingers, and you wiggle in Kenshi’s hold at the overstimulation
Kung Lao detaches himself and lifts up the hood of your clit again, and he slaps it with his fingers
but it’s enough to have you start crying, sobs spilling from your mouth as you beg him to stop, that it’s too much
Kung Lao just looks up at your with a pout, saying that he doesn’t want to stop, that you look so pretty crying and all fucked-out
you moan as he lands a hard slap on your exposed clit, and you squirt on his face
Kung Lao grunts and attaches his lips to your clit and drinks in your juice, and your hips grind into his face despite the sparks of pain flying up your spine
as your orgasm dies down, you grow limp in Kenshi’s hold, and he lets go of your neck to pinch at your nipples
Kung Lao stands back up, kissing away your tears and picking up your other leg to suspend you in the air between their bodies
Kenshi releases his dick from his pants and slides it through your pussy folds, collecting the juice on his cock
he slides into you easily, but you still whine at the stretch, crying out that it’s too much
he tells you to take it like a good slut and bites your neck, making you moan and clutch onto Kung Lao’s shoulders in front of you
the Shaolin kisses you and rubs his dick against your sensitive clit before notching his dick right next to Kenshi’s
you pull back your head and beg, saying it won’t fit, that you can’t do it, but Kung Lao just smiles at you and says to be good for them and take the pleasure they give you
he slides into you, and the stretch burns and makes you cry as your head falls back
Kung Lao tells you that you’re so so good, taking their cocks like a good whore, but Kenshi snarls that your pussy is so greedy for taking two cocks, that maybe he should share you with the rest if your pussy is so willing to take the two of them
your pussy clenches around their cocks at the thought, and Kenshi looks at Kung Lao and tells him that he was right, you are just a slut
Kung Lao hums and agrees with him, saying that the other would also like your pussy
they thrust in and out of you, sending your mind spinning with pleasure, but they talk about you as if you’re not even there
Kenshi talks about how tight and wet your pussy is, that Johnny would love to tease you, maybe he’d strap a vibrator to your clit and leave it on its highest setting to watch you squirm, you’re so sensitive after all
Kung Lao says that Raiden would love to fuck your sweet little mouth while he sucks on your clit, that maybe he’d send little jolts of electricity through you
they talk of the other Earthrealm champions having their fun with you, how you’d be nothing but a doll for them, nothing but a hole for them to fill
drool pools at the corner of your mouth as their descriptions about you grow filthier, and you’re nothing but a limp doll in their arms as they fuck into you lazily
you cum on their cocks over and over again, your wetness leaking out of your pussy and dripping onto the floor
Kenshi takes notice of how fucked-out you are and laughs at you, asking if you’re just a dumb little bunny for them, and you nod
Kung Lao coos at you, saying that you’d look so pretty all knocked-up with their babies, that you’ll be a dumb perfect breeding toy for them
their thrusts grow faster, more erratic as they growl into your ears, and they cum deep inside of you as you squirt again
they slip out of you, and Kenshi forces you down onto your knees, gripping onto your hair tightly and smearing his dick across your face and slapping it
he tells you clean them both up, for dirtying them up with your cum, and you stick out your tongue to clean up your mess on Kenshi’s cock
you lick him from base to tip, but the swordsman tells you to open your mouth, growing impatient
you open your mouth, and Kenshi shoves his cock into your throat, causing you to gag and your head to jerk back
but he doesn’t let go of your hair and fucks into your throat
tears drip down your face as drool drips down your chin, and Kenshi says that you’re good for nothing except to fuck, such a greedy thing for letting him fuck your throat
he buries your nose into his pelvis and cums down your throat, grunting loudly, and you swallow his load as best you can
he pulls your mouth off his softening dick and tells you to open your mouth, and you show how you’ve swallowed it all
he slaps your face and calls you a good whore before passing you off to Kung Lao
the Shaolin pats his dick against your face, and you lick him from base to tap and suckle on the tip, pressing your tongue into the slit
he groans, telling you you’re doing so good, to keep sucking his cock like that, and he lets you go at your own pace
Kung Lao has a grip on your hair, but you control the speed, bobbing your head up and down while pumping what can’t fit in your mouth with your hand
soon he pulls you off of him, and he pumps himself
you open your mouth and stick out your tongue, and he cums on your face with a moan
you swallow what you can of Kung Lao’s cum, and he drags you onto your shaky legs to kiss you
Kung Lao picks you up and brings you over to the bed and lays you down on it, spreading your legs to see your wetness and your cum dripping down onto the sheets
he throws your legs over his shoulders and dives in, mouth lapping at the mixture of your cum and his and Kenshi’s, and you throw your head back and grip onto his hair
he quickly brings you to an orgasm, fingers curling into the sweet spot and mouth sucking on your oversensitive clit
your mind floats between reality and pleasure as you cream into his mouth again, and you feel Kung Lao get up from between your legs
a cold towel wipes at your cunt, and you whimper
Kenshi shushes you and continues to clean you up and has you sit up briefly to drink a little bit of water
Kung Lao and Kenshi cuddle up on opposite sides of you, and they trail their fingers over your soft skin
you drift off to sleep, and the both of them leave a kiss of your neck before falling asleep as well with you in their arms

Can you do Kung Lao with a breeding kink?? Cause I feel like he would’ve been told as a kid to have a lot of kids so that the great Kung Lao legacy doesn’t die-
Anon I am madly in love with you we're getting married
No but UHHH general NSFW hcs with Kung Lao bc you didn't give me a plot to work with(guys give me plots or just ask for hcs idc)
Tw/cw: AFAB reader, pure horniness, a lot of sort of vanilla but also kinky stuff at the same time
Not proofread but are we surprised
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He ABSOLUTELY has a breeding kink. I don't even think it's because he was told from a young age he has to carry on the Kung Lao legacy, he's just super into it
Like yeah, he definitely wants kids and doesn't want to disappoint his elders by not carrying the bloodline, but he'd do it just for shits
Like bro literally loves cuming inside, he's so obsessed with how your walls hug him in and how your pussy looks when he pulls out, leaking everywhere. Depending on the night, he'd either finger it back inside you, skip aftercare and cockwarm you, or eat you out. He's into it all
He's very obsessed with getting you pregnant with multiple kids. He'd be such an amazing dad and would train all of your kids equally, but he would have his first born son but the next Kung Lao, as per tradition.
I feel as though he'd also be into pregnant sex. He's definitely a lot more passionate and gentle than he would be if you werent carrying his kid(not saying that he isn't passionate and gentle normally). Hed be so in love with you and the fact that you're carrying his baby and would give you literally anything you want. A certain pregnancy craving? He's on it. You're having pain somewhere? He's got pain meds and he's ready to give you a massage. And you bet your ass he'd eat you out for days.
Hear me out on this: blood kink.
Am I projecting? Mayhaps. I'm sorry seeing a man like drenched in blood UGGGGGHHHHG
okay but he like
Definitely has a blood kink
Not in the traditional way tho
Like if you have a cut or something and you start bleeding he's not gonna pop a boner
I'm saying he's hardcore into period sex
Like OHHHHHY GOOOOODDDDDDD
No okay he isn't going to fuck you when he finds out you're on your period(unless you want him to)
He's gonna take care of you. He'd absolutely buy you tampons/pads and menstrual cramp pain relievers. You'd text him and say you're on your period and 30 minutes later he'd show up with a basket full of pads, pain relievers, your favorite ice cream, chocolate, and a teddy bear. Every. Single. Month.
If you were to ask him to he'd be on his knees in MILLISECONDS to eat you out. He'd take you anyway you want him to. On the couch, against the wall, he'd fuck you in the Shaolin temple if you asked.
Overall he's an incredibly sweet lover. He can be cocky at times but he'd let you put him in his place. He definitely loves giving and receiving praise, he'll slap your ass if you asked him to but he doesn't degrade you. You're too important to him and he loves you too much to hurt your feelings, even if you'd want him to
He also prefers giving oral. Most of the time he'd rather eat you out than eat the dinner you made for him
He does like blowjobs tho
He just overall likes being close to you and is the KING of aftercare. He's so gentle and he's so sweet about it. We love him
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A/n: got my boyfriend into Mortal Kombat. His favorite character is Kung Lao because he has a cool hat. He calls Kung Lao hat guy and when I told them about Raiden he started calling him pointy hat guy. They lost his shit when I said they were friends

Kung Lao yandere headcanons
Warnings: Yandere (obsessive and toxic themes) just cute little mentions of gore and murder blah blah blahhhhhhh…kung Lao being a little bitch. (Kinda inserted my fiancé as Kung Lao so if the personality is off…no it isn’t they are literally the same exact person🤞)
Requests: only for Yandere Kung Lao, Shang tsung, raiden and Johnny Cage mk11/mk1/X
General Yandere Headcanons
Kung lao has been fond of you from the beginning. You were always very open and welcoming towards him. Never once did you ever make fun of his hat or ever compare himself with Liu Kang like many many others.
Whenever he messed up or didn’t quite match up with his counterpart, you would encourage him and remind him of all he has to offer and that one small fail shouldn’t break him. You were the best friend Kung Lao could ever ask for.
As much as he’d hate to admit, he was desperate for this kind of special attention. He needed to be loved and praised, he needed to be better than all the other competitors. He especially needs to be better than Liu Kang…
After seeing him train harder than ever this past year for the next tournament, you turned to him and said..
“You know what? I honestly think you’re a far better fighter than Liu Kang at this point, and I wish more people could see that. It kind of irks me how Raiden doesn’t believe in you like he does Liu.”
Anyone else would say you were being a little too generous with that statement, but you meant exactly what you said.
Little did you know that this seemingly harmless comment made something in his brain snap….
No one has ever said anything remotely close to this to him. Sure, he’s gotten good remarks on his skills before but he’s always lived in his friend’s shadow. Finally, someone sees him for just how great he truly is.
His inhibitions were now gone and in that moment he decided you were his. You say it’s kidnapping, he says it’s redirecting you in the direction of his house. potato,patato!
He feels absolutely no guilt for kidnapping you and forcing your relationship. He believes he’s in the right most times. Everything he does is justified, including this……in some very sick way.
Kung Lao is a very needy and klingy Yandere. He orders you to be around him at all times or at least updating him constantly when you can’t be. Which is very rare, usually only happens if he has to be with the shaolin or if Raiden needs to speak with him privately.
He has a huge ego that constantly needs to be inflated by you. The man can’t help it, he craves your worship.
This means when he forces you to attend his sparring matches, tournaments, and workout sessions, you need to pay extra close attention. He will ask you specifically what you enjoyed about today's session and you better be raving about it, or it’ll be a hissy fit for the rest of the day. (So sassy)
Will shower you in compliments all damn day. He thinks you're absolutely beautiful in every single way and one thing that Kung Lao hates more than anything is someone with low self esteem. Lack of confidence is annoying to him so he’ll make sure you know you’ve got it going on.
(Ironic since deep down he’s crippling from his insecurities)
Very very physically affectionate and expects you to reciprocate it. Smothers you in kisses and cuddles.You have to hold his hand in public so people know that you're his. The way his grip is on you thooo. ;-;
Will just plop on top of you like he’s not 180 pounds of pure muscle. He’s so huge omg like you get crushed any time he has one of his love attacks.
Has a very mildly short temper. Most of his anger is never really taken out on you though. He’s just kind of asshole-ish to everyone outside of you
Will 100% threaten you and let you know that he’s not to be tested tho. He loves games but not when they come to you.
He cannot bear you giving anyone other than him attention, especially other men. Why do you even need to speak to other men??? You have the great Kung Lao right next to you.
Someone hits on you, he’ll get rid of them….
He’s willing to kill anyone for you. It’s all honorable, because it’s to protect the sanctity of his precious relationship.
If you start talking to someone for a little too long, flirting or he suspects you’re interested in another, he’s going to kill them too.. slowly and brutally…all for you to watch. He’ll slice the unsuspecting fellow in half, look up at you with a big ol’ grin!
“See, this is what I have to do when you start talking to people you shouldn’t. Now my hat is all filthy because of you.”
You need to know that Kung Lao is serious about you, and there are consequences to your stupidity. This will surely keep you in line.
Will also set punishments up too. He can’t find it in his heart to ever put his hands on you, but sometimes when he’s in one of many temper tantrums, he’ll leave bruises on your arm from grabbing or pulling you too hard. Though with that said, even if you try attacking him he will just try to pin you down or restrain your hands until you finally give up.
It’s kind of cute to him when you struggle. He’s so much stronger and bigger than you but you still think you have a chance…aww that’s so adorable and kind of amusing to him.
Usually his punishments consist of him locking you up for a day or two in his room, making you clean off his bloody clothes after he’s dealt with someone because of you, or doing some kind of chores he doesn’t want to.
If you try running away he will be deeply hurt and humiliated by this. He scolds you after he catches you and immediately ties you up. He takes away any basic necessities to further punish you. You’ve embarrassed him and now he’ll have to endure the whispers about it.
Why would you run away from the only person who can keep you safe? Is he not enough for you anymore???
You think this is some sort of fun joke?
Do you think someone fights better than him?????? If so he will challenge them to kombat to show you that he’s just as great as he was before.
Once he finally calms down kung lao would be very mopey for the next couple of hours. His ego is shattered in this moment and he just wants you to love him back. He’ll cling on anything you give him, he’ll even lose the hat for you if it meant that you’d never leave him again.
This is one of the only times where he’s openly vulnerable to you, outside of this he puts on his usual persona. Always self assured and well together. If you see Lao’s weak side too often you’ll think less of him.
Once you’ve finally gave in to his painful hours of pandering and promised to never leave him again, he snaps back to his old self.
It doesn’t matter how much you only thought of him as a close friend, Kung Lao is determined to break you down and become his perfect match. You’re the only one who understands him, and sees his true worth so he’d be a fool to just let you slip away. He’ll prove to you that he truly is the greatest once becomes the next champion. You'll soon see.

hate to break it to you, but liu kang and kung lao are actually cousins. i enjoy your art a lot and scrolling through your blog, so seeing you and your friends support liulao makes me concerned. i hope you understand and are mindful about what you ship going forward <:(
I sense some condescension, anon, but since text messaging cannot accurately convey tone, I’ll take this as a genuine warning. Thank you for your concern, but do not worry, I’m old enough to be mindful about my ships and I do my research, since I have no interest in shipping relatives in any media, and it CAN be tricky with the universe as complex and lore heavy as mk.
With that being said, here’s where you are wrong, anon. Liu Kang and Kung Lao are canonically NOT related – at least the versions of them that people ship.
Just a week ago, lovely user rasta-bot covered the “cousins issue”, you can check this post or I’ll just repeat the main idea here. They were only made cousins in the original 1995 movie because this specific universe (and by extension MK Conquests universe since it's a prequel to the movies) has Liu Kang as the Great Kung Lao's descendant as well. However, this is what the mk co-creator and Lore God™ John Tobias said about this change:
Tumblr media
In no other game Liu Kang was the descendant of GKL or Lao’s relative. In the original (and prev) timeline he was an orphan, raised by Shaolin monks.
And if you are referring to the 2021 movie, alas, you’d be wrong again. In the movie Liu Kang has no family, he tells Cole about his past, but people love to refer to the scene with a translation error. The mistake was pointed out by several native speakers online, but everyone can easily check it by themselves, even if they are not familiar with the language, just by doing a quick google search. This took me 2 minutes:
1. Turn on the Chinese subtitles.
Tumblr media
2. Look at the first results of “師兄 meaning” goggle search.
Tumblr media
source: wiktionary.org
Tumblr media
source: chinese.yabla.com
Tumblr media
source: hinative.com
It is totally fine if you don’t feel like shipping these two, you have all the right - everybody has different preferences. I also don’t like certain ship dynamics even if they are “legal” in any way. 😁 But I never encountered liulao shippers who would endorse inсеst, and it’s sad to see how this confusion nearly becomes a witch hunt, scaring and demotivating artists and writers.

💋 — dark red.
pairing: raiden x gn! reader
summary: after training with the shirai ryu, raiden seeks out the one person he could depend on for comfort. ♡
tags: fighting (training), fluff, raiden is feeling romantical but still sfw tbh
Ever since meeting his godly alternate self, Raiden took to training with Grandmaster Kuai Liang. He needed that extra push to fuel the flame within him and who better to ask than the pyromancer himself? He was aware of Lord Liu Kang's stories about how the god fell into rage; the reason for being made mortal this time was to prevent him from going through such anger and destruction.
There were so many factors to consider, but he was devoted to this path— to learn more about himself and his capabilities. If he figures out how to activate these feats and learn how to work with them, he could be of better use to Earthrealm's defense. Battles could rise on a whim and he wanted to get a grip on that potential rage rather than be afraid or to shun it.
In between his work with the Shaolin, Raiden made frequent trips over to Japan. The Shirai Ryu’s Grandmaster would hold sessions with him whenever he was available; other times he sparred with Smoke, helped young Hanzo or went over strategies with Harumi.
There were days he would catch you around the clan’s base of operations, indulging in small talk and peaceful walks around their garden. Little memories like those were cherished for someone who carried the weight of his title.
Lord Liu Kang told him that it was possible to train too much, and he was right.
Yet, here he was, circling around Kuai Liang as the two of them observed each other. They were waiting for the right opportunity to strike, focused on every breath falling from their chest.
You were watching on the side, entranced by their intricate dance. Raiden was the first to charge while the other man remained on defense. It was always a show with these two, a display of thunder and fire clashing together. Paired with Scorpion’s trusted kusarigama, it was as if nature’s elemental symphony reverberated through the metal and into the surrounding atmosphere.
At one point, the chain latched onto Raiden’s ankles and he moved to secure it down, not wanting to be pulled towards the warrior. When he lifted his head to look towards Kuai Liang, he noticed an intense, stern look in his opponent’s sharp gaze. In a split second, flames began to travel down the metal, spreading closer and closer to his very form.
He was going to be harmed if he wasn’t careful.
Raiden gripped the chain harder, digging his soles into the ground and allowed sparks to gather in his palms. Metal was a great conductor of electricity, thus the lightning he conjured bounced, shooting out towards Kuai Liang. This forced the Grandmaster to halt his embers in order to escape the wrath. Raiden took this chance to kick the kama away, only to forget how fast the trained warrior recovers.
He was pinned within seconds of letting his sight falter, groaning as his shoulders were pressed into the courtyard.
Upset at having let his guard down, his fingers clenched into the ground and began to generate heat. He should have known better, to always keep his eyes on his opponent…
Raiden’s attention was on his hand, watching as the light flickered around his skin. A new hue joined the display, faint and taunting, but it was unmistakably there. It was blurred and any average person would have trouble detecting it. Though, as someone who had studied his newfound powers the moment he was given the amulet, he knew what it was— it just had to be.
“Yield.” The order came from the masked opponent.
Taking a steady breath, willing his strength to compose himself, he placed his palm down. He relaxed his muscles, resting against the floor as he pondered. The brief disappointment in himself was replaced by curiosity and intrigue.
“I yield.”
-
After the session, Raiden decided to clean up since he had dust and dirt all over him. Training had always garnered sweat and he took pride in his ability to remain hygienic, especially in a home he was a guest of.
Fresh and clean, he goes about his usual routine and enters the garden. He knew he would find you here, but he was really hoping to see you even more after his latest discovery. He couldn't help the way his body buzzed, images of that light scarlet color replaying every other minute.
“Raiden?” Your voice called out to him, breaking him out of his trance as he offered a kind bow and then joined your side.
There was something different about him; it was as obvious as day and night. Whenever he would spar with the others and found himself losing, he would either ask to go again or thank them for their time. Now, he seemed… miles away.
“What's troubling you?” You had asked as he averted his gaze to the blooming plant in front of you.
“There's… well, I…”
It wasn’t unnatural for him to be at a loss for words, and he was truly grateful for your patience as he gathered himself. A few minutes passed and his gentle voice had a hint of shakiness to it, an effect of using the amulet as much as he had.
“May I hold you?”
His request sits in the air between you both, the inhale not going unnoticed by him as he tilted his head in a manner that was far too precious. He merely chuckled and began to explain himself further.
“I am quite energized still. I can feel it coursing within me.” He stated, hinting at his wish to find a way to ground himself back into reality. To think he would ask you rather than his usual meditation added a certain warmth to your cheeks.
The second you agree, his smile is nearly blinding. He was careful with his first touch, fingertips caressing the back of your hand and over your knuckles. They smoothed up towards your wrist and along your forearm when he was met with no resistance.
Raiden had visibly melted when he tugged you closer to his body, arms circled around your waist and head tucked on your shoulder. A content breath tickled your neck as he held you there, basking in the shared warmth and comfort.
“I've made progress today.” He hummed out, leaning into you further when you began brushing his hair back in a soothing motion. His chest was pressed against yours, every breath and exhale easily detected from such proximity.
He briefly removed himself to gaze at you, only inches apart from being able to rest his forehead on yours. His voice lingered on a lower tone, set on you and you alone. “Were you watching?”
You could only nod, mesmerized by the searing look behind those usually soft, brown eyes of his. A pleased thrum vibrated through him and into you, eyelashes fluttering as he locked his hands on the curve of your back.
It was just the two of you in the gardens, lost in each other’s presence with an unspoken heat rising. He watched you for what felt like forever, analyzing your features and committing them to his mind for safe keeping.
“Allow me…” He spoke up, your focus snapping back to him as he brought himself close enough to brush his nose along yours. “Please.”
His plea left you near breathless, eyes trying to search for answers. You could feel his breath tease your lips, making them quiver in anticipation. Gathering your courage, you finally respond with a command he has wanted to hear since entering the garden.
“Kiss me.”
He didn't need to be told twice, keeping one arm secure around your hips as the other slid up to cup your cheek. Raiden kept you there as his eager lips captured yours in a kiss he had only ever dreamed of.
It was exhilarating; both yours and his eyes closing shut to embrace the intimacy of it all. He tasted sweet like a divine treat that was immensely invigorating and rousing to your senses. Trying to part from him only lasted for two seconds as he chased after you, planting his lips upon yours and stealing your breath yet again.
Earthrealm’s Champion wanted— or more so needed you, in his arms and covered in his affection. He would ensure that you were treated to the highest degree that only someone like him could ever deliver to you.
Only you could keep him stable while he made you feel as if you were floating within all the realms.

Kinda scared to post this but
translation of the last chapter of mlc novel not including the extra here:
If anyone doesn’t want to click into google docs full translation plus an extremely lengthy translator’s note underneath the cut
Main Text:
Di Feisheng had already crossed blades with all the main sects consecutively. Except for the Shaolin1 “Empty of tricks” Abbot who insisted against fighting, and Wudang2 “Purple haze” Daozhang3, who had been in seclusion for a long time, he was nearly undefeated in this world.
25th of August.
From the day they’d plummeted into the sea, till now, 13 years had almost passed.
Di Feisheng arrived at the shore of the East Sea very early, at a little village called “Grave of Clouds”, where everyone in the village was surnamed Yun4. The beach outside the village was very clean, with pearly white sand and an aquamarine sea, its waters reflecting the cloudless blue sky.
As if recalling the weather that year, on this patch of the beach, there was a great reef named “Sun Summoning”.
On some unknown date, an unknown person carved on this rock in unrestrained and majestic handwriting. As of now, miniscule sea conches had buried themselves in the deepest nooks and crannies of the calligraphy, but they could not take away from the magnificence of those winning loops and strong strokes5.
Di Feisheng stood on this very reef, clad in green billowing robes, just as he had all those years ago. In all honesty, he could kill Li Lianhua very easily, but what he wanted to achieve victory over, was not Li Lianhua himself, but Li Xiangyi’s swordsmanship.
13 years ago, he’d won the match, only because Li Xiangyi had been severely poisoned, but even poisoned, he’d still been able to do great damage to Di Feisheng. That move “The bright moon sinks in the west sea”, and the resulting 10 years spent on a sickbed, was engraved not just in his memory but in his bones, his heart6, for the rest of his life.
Today.
Di Feisheng felt that he could even just use half his true power to fight. He was going to kill Li Xiangyi. But not before he could crack his “The bright moon sinks in the west sea”. Besides, that man was crafty and resourceful, and in 13 years, perhaps he’d perfected maneuvers that surpassed “The bright moon sinks in the west sea”.
Di Feisheng stood on the “Sun Summoning” reef, and his heart faintly looked forward to the fight.
Beneath the reef, around 100 people stood there.  The heads of Sigu Sect of course came, which among them included Qiao Wanmian. Emei7 Sect sent some young disciples, the gang of beggars sent 3 elders, Wudang Sect had Lu Jianchi, and even Shaolin Temple had some bald young monks arriving.
Among this motley crew of unusual people, a big golden and flashy sedan was what caused people to gape in tongue-tied disbelief8. The walls of the sedan were made of golden satin, which were embroidered with colorful phoenixes. The four people carrying it may have worn simple clothes, but with their arrogant attitude and blank expressions, it was clear that they were highly trained martial artists.
Sitting in the sedan was naturally great Young Master Fang and Princess Zhaoling. Outside, there stood a blank faced scholar, whose face was quite darkly tanned. Confronted with such a strange sight, members of the martial world kept their distance from it, exchanging hurried whispers and theories.
Fang Duobjng actually wasn’t willing to ride the sedan here at all. He’d originally planned to throw his wife off his trail, climb over the wall, and leave, spending the better half of the next year free to do whatever. Unbeknownst to him, his wife knew the tune his soul strummed out9 too well, and, knowing that her husband was about to run away, cheerfully prepared a grand sedan and carriages, sorted out their duties, and came here hand to hand with her ‘good husband’.
Along with this loving couple came Yang Yunchun. He’d been curious about the legend of Li Xiangyi and Di Feisheng for long, and had practically been raised on their stories. As a practitioner of martial arts, why wouldn’t he be curious? On the reef, Di Feisheng seemed as imposing as the mountains and the abyss, his impressive aura reaching far and wide10. To Yang Yunchun, this sight greatly expanded his horizons, and he silently praised how people of the Jianghu were indeed different from the ones in court.
And yet even as Di Feisheng stood on that reef for 4hours, until it was past noon, nobody caught a glimpse of Li Xiangyi’s figure.
The crowd began exchanging theories in hushed whispers, Ji Hanfo’s forehead creased, as did Xiao Zijin. Bai Jiangchun had started to quietly order his attendants around, and Qiao Wanmian had unconsciously adopted a troubled expression.
Fang Duobing poked his head out from the sedan, “Why hasn’t he arrived after so long? Li Xiangyi wouldn’t have broken his promise right?”
Princess Zhaoling said quietly, “With an event of this magnitude, if he’s that unique among his contemporaries, a god amongst men11, how could he miss this? What if he’s had something happen to him?”
Di Feisheng stood on the reef, clear in mind and heart. Li Xiangyi was cunning, his late arrival was possibly a way for him to throw him off balance. At this moment, a large horse galloped towards the crowd, and someone called loudly from quite a distance away; “Young Master! Young Master! First Young Master!”
Fang Duobing leaped out from the sedan, brows drawn together, and asked, “What happened? During such an important moment, the Fang family somehow decides to send a messenger to yell and cause trouble, is it not really embarrassing?”
The servant boy had sped here by horse, and his breath was nearly gone, his face pale as he raised up a letter.”Young master, young master, this is a letter.”
Fang Duobing replied, not particularly good-natured in tone, “Of course I can tell that’s a letter. Hand it over!”
The servant boy handed over the crumpled up letter, turning paler by the second in fear, “This is Li Xiangyi’s letter…..”
“What kind of letter has to be delivered right now? Since when was Fang Family matters decided by this respectable one12?”
In a moment of infuriation, the phrase “this respectable one” fell from his lips, and yet Fang Duobing suddenly paused, “Li Xiangyi’s letter? His letter wasn’t sent to Sigu Sect instead? Why was it sent to me?”
He’d already been taking quite loudly, and after he said this sentence, everyone turned to look at him, and surrounded him and the servant boy quickly.
Li Xiangyi’s letter? Why would he send a letter to the Fang Family? And why wasn’t he here in person? Fang Duobing nervously opened the letter, his fingers trembling. The letter was a very commonplace piece of white paper, and on it was very familiar handwriting.
It wrote:
During the battle of the East Sea 13 years ago, this one, surnamed Li, used the advantage of concealed weaponry, and took the chance of a sinking ship to battle with you, yet was unable to emerge victorious. Your bravery and honor is near unmatched in this world, this one’s defeat graciously and gladly accepted. many years have passed, this one has succumbed to illness and cannot recover, blade broken and spirit departed, thereby unable to attend the promise of the east sea, much to this one’s regret.
Fang Duobing stared at that familiar handwriting, and only after a few sentences, he felt cold all over, and he could only see the letter say:
The mountains and rivers ever endure, ever changing. Departure follows departure, and my time has come. Today Xiao Zijin of Sigu Sect has trained with his sword valiantly for many years, and is not inferior to “the bright moon sinks in the west sea”. You pursue not a fleeting moment, not a deer in flight, but strive towards the martial world’s peak. This one has departed, and should you be dissatisfied, please request Sect Leader Xiao to take my place.
Fang Duobing’s face was deadly pale, and he looked at that last sentence:
Li Xiangyi passed on 13th July.
“What did the letter say?”
Ji Hanfo and Xiao Zijin walked over shoulder to shoulder, the crowd scattering out of their way, yet still poking their heads around in curiosity. Fang Duobing swallowed with difficulty, and when he opened his mouth his voice was hoarse.
“He said…...”
Xiao Zijin’s gaze was filled with a fierce light, and he grabbed Fang Duobing by his robes at his chest.
“What did he say?”
He was infuriated beyond belief, how dare Li Xiangyi break his promise to avoid a fight! This shameless type of vile character practically took Sigu Sect’s face and threw it out of the nine heavens13! If he did show up later, even if Di Feisheng didn’t kill him, he would!
“He said….. .he said…...” Fang Duobing looked at Xiao Zijin blearily, “He said he was already dead, so he can’t come, and he asked you……he asked you to take his place.”
“What?” Ji Hanfo exclaimed, and snatched the letter.
Xiao Zijin blinked, startled.
“What?”
“He said he’s already dead, so he can’t come, and that he regrets it a lot……” Fang Duobing mumbled. “He said…... he said your sword skill was very good, better than his, so he asked you to take his place.
The flame of fury burning in Xiao Zijin’s chest shot up into the heavens in an instant.
“What do you mean he’s already dead? Why does he want me to take his place? This is his oath of battle! This is his place! Why do I have to take his place?”
“He said…….” Fang Duobing said dazedly.
“Because you’re Sigu Sect Leader. Di Feisheng…….. is here to duel the Sigu Sect Leader, is he not?”
Xiao Zijin paused, dazed by the words.
“Why didn’t he come? If he came…... If he came I’d have….... returned the position to him….... returned it to him……”
He didn’t know why he said this, but somehow it came out so smoothly and naturally, as if he’d already said it in his heart a hundred million times. Fang Duobing shook his head.
“He said his blade was broken and his spirit was gone……. He’s already…....”
His voice was soft.
“He’s already dead.”
After that, he paid Xiao Zijin no more attention, and shakily walked back to his sedan.
“What is it?” Princess Zhaoling looked at him in concern.
Fang Duobing stood dazedly next to the sedan, and after what seemed like an eternity, the corner of his mouth twitched.
“Say……Darned Lianhua isn’t Li Xiangyi right?”
Next to the sedan, Shi Wenjue had watched as he became near dumb after reading the letter, and he hmphed.
“Pah! This respectable one told you ages ago, Li Lianhua is Li Xiangyi, Li Xiangyi is Li Lianhua, it was you who’d die rather than believing it. What is it? He sent you a letter? Now you believe it? Hahahahaha, he tricked us both so many years, it really is entertaining.”
Fang Duobing shook his head.
“Tell me— Darned Lianhua isn’t Li Xiangyi—“ Shi Wenjue was taken back.
“What is it?” Fang Duobing lifted his head.
“He sent a letter to Di Feisheng, he said…... he said he’s already dead, so he asked Xiao Zijin to take his place in the duel today.”
Shi Wenjue stared at Fang Duobing, as if in that instant, he’d become a piece of rock or a monster. Fang Duobing stared back in dazed confusion.
“Why did he have to send a letter to me? How nice would it have been if he hadn’t sent it?”
If he hadn’t sent it, I would never have known the truth.
Shi Wenjue dumbly looked back at Fang Duobing. All around them were so many people, yet in his eyes, they were but stone. Li Xiangyi was dead? That liar was dead? Why would he die? Wasn’t he Li Xiangyi? Li Xiangyi should’ve been…….undying.
“Was it really because of…… those injuries?” Shi Wenjue mumbled.
“Skies above…... I’d clearly known, yet…… yet I left— Skies above—”
Fang Duobing turned around, grabbing him all of a sudden and lifting him up, and snarled,
“What did you know?”
Shi Wenjue’s smile was more terrible than if he’d started crying.
“The liar has a lot of injuries, really severe old injuries…..probably remnants from when he fell into the sea…….”
Fang Duobing paused for asecond, and he wanted to continue yelling, but instead loosened his grip and put Shi Wenjue down.
“Whatever” He murmured, “Whatever whatever…...” He lifted his head to look at the turquoise sea and cerulean sky.
“This respectable one has known him for so many years, we ate and drank and even relieved ourselves in front of each other, but didn’t I end up knowing nothing about him anyway?”
“Is he really dead?” Shi Wenjue stood back up. “Who knows, maybe he lied, and to avoid coming to the duel, he’d pull something of this magnitude.”
Fang Duobing dazedly looked at the clear sunny sky, and shoke his head.
“He’s not pulling a trick. He might be a liar and a trickster, but he never really did trick anyone much……. not really, it’s just that you and I didn’t understand…....” His voice faded into a murmur.
“We just……. we just never took him seriously.”
On the reef, Di Feisheng had also heard about Li Xiangyi’s last letter, where he requested Xiao Zijin to take his place. After listening, he calmly tilted his head towards the sunlight and flew away, too disdainful to even cross blades with Xiao Zijin.
Yet Xiao Zijin was also unwilling to fight with him. He still couldn’t think it through, as to why Li Lianhua would rather run away than kill him that day, but suddenly died without a trace?
He’d said blade broken and spirit departed. Was it really that back then, when he’d shattered Wenjing, he’d also destroyed his chance of staying alive? Xiao Zijin felt horrified. What if….. what if it really was himself……. who had forced Li Xiangyi to death? He’d wanted him dead with singleminded passion, yet now when he really seemed to be dead, Xiang Zijin felt it was incomprehensible and unacceptable. Li Xiangyi was undying, he was undefeatable. He was supposed to be a godly presence, and no matter how Xiao Zijin treated him, how he spat hateful words or pointed swords at him, he should’ve never faded away and ceased to exist.
How could he just…... actually die? Was it because of the severe injuries he’d suffered years ago? When he’d been unwilling to kill, unwilling to end his own life that day, was it because—
Xiao Zijin’s face paled in an instant— could it be that Li Xiangyi didn’t want the former to kill him by his own hand! He didn’t want Xiao ZIjin to do someone he’d regret, or let Wanmian know he’d tried to force him to end his own life— so he couldn’t die at that moment! If he’d died then, Wanmian would’ve never forgiven Zijin.
So he’d jumped onto a fishing boat, to go…... to another place…... to die alone.
Xiao Zijin’s eyes reddened. He’d died alone, but when he died, was anyone there for him? Was there anyone who’d buried him, who’d given his corpse proper respects?
On the other end, the shore was silent in desolation, interspersed only by a few sobs, which were let out by some blue robed women in the corner. Ji Hanfo’s face was deathly pale to to extent of appearing gray, Bai Jiangchun collapsed to sit on the ground, and Shi Shui walked away silently. Xiao Zijin lifted his head to shout out sternly.
“Where did you die, Li Xiangyi? If you’re alive I’ll find you in person, if you’re dead I need to see your corpse. Even if I have to travel all over the world and overturn every inch of the ground, I will find you!”
Translator notes:
A sect for martial artists. One of the biggest, most prominent, most diverse martial arts sects with one of the longest histories in irl China. Present in reality and therefore referenced in a lot of works of literature as a martial arts sect
Wudang is a fictional martial arts school that’s often present in wuxia works of fiction
Daozhang, which might be familiar if you’ve read mdzs, is a title for very knowledgeable and spiritual people in Taoist believes. It can be extended to be used as a title of respect for any high up member of religion. In Taiwan it is also an address of respect between lawyers
Yun2 云 is the mandarin pronunciation for the words cloud. In the ancient times, entire tribes in China would often share the same surname and live together, and they’d often name the place they settled in after their own surname.
The chinese idiom used here was 银钩铁画 which refers to majestic calligraphy that deserves to win prizes essentially. The characters literally translated are silver, hooks/ticks, steel/metal, and strokes, so I went with half the idiom meaning and half the literal meaning.
Another chinese idiom (the author uses a lot honestly I’m just explaining the ones that I think deserve it) 刻骨銘心, which refers to a memory or experience being so unforgettable, it’s like it’s engraved into your bones and carved into your heart. 刻 and 銘 both mean carve/engrave, while 骨 is bone and 心 is heart.
The sect is called 峨嵋 sect, which sounds perfectly fine in in chinese, and in fact is named after a place in Taiwan, but unfortunately if you translate it literally it’s something like “mountain peak” and “brows” respectively, which sounds weird so I left it as the pinyin instead. Know that I tried.
Yet another idiom (Tengping I admire your literary ability and degree of culture, but please have mercy on the people translating ty <3) 瞠目结舌 which literally translated means to stare unblinking and unwaveringly, with your tongue tied. Mostly used to express great shock or disbelief.
The exact expression was zhiyin 知音, a term which anyone here who likes watching ‘bromance’ dramas will undoubtedly be familiar with. It actually doesn’t mean soulmate completely. Zhiji means something like “the one who knows me and my soul, my self utterly”, with zhi 知 being “to know/understand/comprehend” and ji 己 meaning “self”. Zhiyin therefore means something similar, but yin 音 means “sound”, or in this case “music”, so the meaning of this term would be “the one who understands the music my soul makes”. It originates from a very interesting story between friends Zhong Ziqi and Boya, and to summarize, Boya was a musician and Ziqi his friend, who despite his lack of formal education compared to Boya, could understand what Boya wanted to convey with every melody he performed, which is where the term zhiyin came from.
The idioms in question are 岳峙淵渟,氣象磅礡´. The first idiom 岳峙淵渟 means that someone is as silent as an abyss(淵渟) and as tall and imposing as mountains(岳峙), and is a metaphor for one’s upstanding and noble character (岳峙 part), as well as how great their tolerance is (淵渟). For 氣象磅礡´, 氣象mostly refers to weather, but in this case refers to one’s aura, while 磅礴 means expansive and endless.
Original idiom is 绝代謫仙, 絕代 means for one to be unique among one’s contemporaries, or to be the best within your generation. 謫仙 refers to gods who have been cast down into the mortal world, which extends to being a metaphor for people who are both noble in character and extremely talented, so much so that they seem otherworldly and unattached to the rest of the mortal world. God among men/mortals was the best translation I could condense this into.
The name Fang Duobing calls himself by is 老子 which can mean father, but in this case is a way for men to call themselves if they feel highly about themselves. Essentially it’s a pretty arrogant way to call yourself, because the title in the end can also mean father, so its a bit like someone saying “I’m your father” as in they have authority over/are senior compared to you
There’s a chinese saying 丢脸面which means to lose face. Xiao Zijin essentially wants to say that Li Xiangyi made Sigu Sect lose face so badly they can’t regain said “face” because it's 9 realms/heavens away.

Hello there :) please could I request headcanons of Kung Lao, Liu Kang and Fujin falling in love with raiden’s protegee 💙💙
Oh my? My first request? I’ll try my best!
Kung Lao, Liu Kang, and Fujin falling in love with Raiden’s protegee~
Theme: Fluff
Warnings: None.
Liu Kang
Tumblr media
• When Liu Kang first saw you, you were talking to Raiden about how you had nobody to spare with.
At first sight of you, he saw how beautiful you are and couldn’t stop looking at you.
That was until Raiden called his name and he snapped out of it.
Raiden has requested Liu Kang to fight you. Raiden told you that Liu Kang is Earthrealms champion and how you could learn from him.
With a smile on your face, you accepted and you and Liu Kang assumed your fighting positions.
Raiden started the fight and you immediately threw punches and kicks at Liu Kang. As Earthrealms champion, he was surprised that he was struggling to defend against you.
He sent a fireball to you, but you used your lighting to deflect it and you kicked his face.
He stumbled but quickly regained his composure. He was impressed with your skills.
Timeskip, you beat Liu Kang and Raiden congratulations you. You hold a hand out for Liu Kang and he takes it.
As he takes your hand, he feels his heart quicken and a faint rosy red adorned his cheeks.
You noticed, but decided to not bring it up, thinking it was just him being exhausted.
You leave to rest and Raiden and Liu Kang say there goodbyes.
As Liu Kang watches you leave, he then turns to Raiden and asks about you.
Raiden asks why Liu Kang is interested in you, but Liu Kang says no reason, and that he’s interested in your skill.
Raiden can suspect he’s lying and asks if he has a crush on you.
Liu Kang’s cheeks turn red and he says no but after a little while, he quietly says yes.
You, who had been watching them behind a pillar, (that just went from 0-100,) softly smiles as you hear it.
After all, you developed a liking to him too. (。’▽’。)♡
Kung Lao
Tumblr media
You and Raiden are walking in the Shaolin Temple. You watch in awe, seeming many monks fight or go through various forms.
Raiden leads you through the monks, where you see a boy with a rather sharp hat.
Raiden calls for him and you discover his name is Kung Lao. Y/N, looking at Kung Lao with a cocky smirks, says that she could easily beat him.
Kung Lao, with his pride, quickly dismisses it, saying that he’d beat her.
Raiden suggests a friendly spar and both you and Kung Lao quickly accept it.
Raiden tells all the monks to stop what their doing and make room for the fight. You stand on the left and Kung Lao stands on the right.
Kung Lao confidently says that she will lose and that he is better than her…
…..
It’s a shame he got his ass handed to him. And it’s an even bigger shame that all the monks saw you whoop Kung Lao’s butt in battle.
You get on top of him and ask him if he’s so great now. He doesn’t say anything but a groan in pain and you smirk, getting up.
He watches you leave with Raiden.. and he feels a odd feeling stir up in him. Is this envy? Is this the feeling of his pride being shattered? Or.. is it.. love?
Fujin
Tumblr media
Fujin, since day one, has seen your immense growth.
He was always impressed by how quickly you were able to understand moves and how you were able to use lighting and control it after a few weeks.
Raiden was impressed with your improvement as well.
During your breaks, you would always talk to Fujin, asking him if he saw any flaws in her training or sparring. And as always, he would say you either had no flaws, or one problem which was stance problems.
One day, when you were asking Fujin if he saw anything wrong with your training and he said how your stance was off.
You sighed, then a light bulb went off in your head.
You asked if he could help you with your stances and he accepted.
During your second break, you went to Fujin and asked if he could start right now. He said yes and you did the position you were struggling with. (which was a punch)
Fujin, before offering his help, asked for your consent to touch you arm and possibly waist. You slightly blushed from the idea of Fujin touching you, but you gave your consent.
With his gentle touch, he started adjusting your stance and giving you pointers. (Meanwhile, Fujin has butterflies in his stomach from touching you lmao.)
Fujin attempts to keep his composure, but his heart is racing. He’s so.. close to you.
For years, he yearns to get closer to you and now.. oh~ He’s getting goosebumps just from thinking about it.
With one final touch, he tells you what your doing wrong and how to improve.
With a faint blush on your cheeks, you thank him and Raiden calls you, indicating your about to start training again.
You bow respectfully to Fujin and you hurry to Raiden, ready to continue you training.
As Fujin watches you go, his crush for you deepens.. he can’t help but hope more moments like these happen more in the future.
And that concludes the request! If you have any suggestions that could improve my writing, please DM me or type it in the comments!

Sorry not sorry This is my first art for this fandom and I hope it’s not the last (I’m only new to it, because for me MK has always been perceived as a game with online battles and I only now found out that there is a plot😅🥲)
As for this art and my thoughts… I thought that the ending, where Shang Tsung fights with Liu Kang against the Titan Shang Tsung, would be canonical for my work. I like to think that these two warmed up a bit at the end of the game and their relationship, while still incredibly rocky, moved beyond the point of hatred (Especially on Liu's part) And after all the events, when Shang Tsung was imprisoned, Liu Kang thought that it would be nice to repay for saving the world and try to negotiate with Empress Mileena to give this snake to his Shaolin temple for re-education…. AND HERE STARTS MY HUGE FANFIC THAT I'VE BEEN WRITING FOR A WEEK ALREADY I don’t know if I will publish it somewhere… Because it is in my native Russian language and I know English too poorly to translate the literary text with all sorts of catchphrases and so on… But all my thoughts about this pairing are literally based on this fanfic (plus it mentions Ashrah’s relationship with Saizot and Johnny with Kenshi) But if we take the key moments, then Kitana Liu Kang died on the battlefield, and because of this he feels quite bad (which, of course, he will never say out loud), because he was alone for so long… and this the forced meeting cost him a great loss… And Shang Tsung is angry that he was kicked out of the outside world. He thinks that Liu Kang makes him a debtor for saving him from execution and because of this he does dirty tricks. He doesn’t want to engage with the monks at all and behaves rudely and aggressively. Because of this, Liu Kang has to devote too much time to him alone, since no one can influence the sorcerer. At first, for him it is a forced burden, and for Shang Tsung it is more like a prison supervision, but over time, they begin to get used to each other and their relationship becomes closer… Sorry for such a long text, I got carried away and took up a lot of your time. Thank you if you read to the end and I will be very pleased if my thoughts are close to you) have a nice day!❤️
