ive seen a lot of people say they dislike the helper (for very understandable reasons tbh, its... not written well lol) but im curious as to why you dont like the tourist or the good deed :0

With these episodes it’s mainly just my preferences, for the tourist idk how deeply I can analyze it I just generally don’t enjoy the happenings of the episode (and I hate Trudi lol) I guess it’s just kinda frustrating to watch for me. It’s not like I’m personally offended by it as much as I claim, I just don’t enjoy and so prefer not to watch it again, which I guess I can sorta equate to “hate”.

There’s not a lot I can say redeems the episode for me other than the part towards the end where Wander makes another orbble and the needle ends up inside the orbble too, something about how the animation looks or how there’s more object permanence than usual just makes it cool to me. And then him picking it up after, I just like it.

For the good deed it’s a LOT of personal preference; I’m not into most of the little gags that happen, there’s a lot of gags I love a little later in the series but basically most of my enjoyment of the show and the jokes and such come from the main 4 (or arguably 5) characters being themselves, (that’s actually how I feel about most anything I watch, I love character-driven stories and character-driven humor) After that I don’t really get the moral? I almost feel like it’d be better without a moral because I’m not sure they really got across what they wanted to get across? Thirdly there’s more out-of-character Wander because it’s still pretty early on, I know it was for a gag but I don’t like that Wander turned down helping Hater at the end lol. And lastly for spiritual reasons I avoid watching anything that features fortune tellers/tarot card readings among other things.

Vlad was injured by the GIW, and fled through a random experimental portal they had. He landed outside a smoking warehouse in Ethiopia, next to a dying child.

The kid was beat to hell and back, and worse off than Vlad himself.

There was a clown, ducking into a car, covered in the kids blood.

Vlad, desperate for an outlet for his anger at being stupid enough to be caught by the GIW, immediately turns around and hunts the man down.

By the time he's done with the clown, he's even eaten the man's newly formed ghost, permanently ending the threat.

Which leads to his current predicament; the dying kid is still dying, and he's calmed down enough to know he would feel bad later about letting some random kid die like this.

Luckily, he saw some ninjas while he was killing the clown, and after a short conversation, they agree to take the boy.

Vlad feels accomplished.

After all, what child wouldn't want to be raised by ninjas?

Meanwhile, Jason, delirious from pain and smoke inhalation, thinks he saw Batman murder the Joker and then turn around and sell him to Ra's Al Ghul (Vlad in his ghost form has pointy things on his head, and Jason was so fucked up he thought it was the cowl).

Jason's still fucked up and pissed when he comes back, but for entirely different reasons.

So we all like the “if you die then I’ll burn down the world” trope but there’s something so powerful and beautiful about living on with their memory instead. It’s not “because you’re dead the world has nothing worth saving in it” but “everyday something in this world reminds me of you and I’m glad for it even if it hurts”.

It’s “I’ll bring your kindness with me wherever I go and someone will remember it even if they’ll never know I borrowed it from you.”

It’s “This is what you would do.”

It’s “I’ll remember you for you and not for what the people hail you as.”

And it’s so painfully beautiful.

People saying Dazai has done more for Sigma than anyone else when my man has been constantly risking his life to save people since before leaving the mafia. He risked his life (and the city) to give Chuuya a choice at 16, he tried to risk his life for Oda in dark era, he risked his life and actually flat lined in Dazai's entrance exam, he risked his life for the agency and got shot, he risked his life during dead apple and has been super gentle with Chuuya after every use of corruption barring the fight with lovecraft, he is now risking his life for Sigma. I am sorry but Dazai has always been a normal person with severe mental illness exploited by his environment and those around him till he was left feeling inhuman and desperate for death. He has been trying again and again and I hate ya'll for acting like this is the first time he's been nice or self sacrificing since the series started.

Edit: it wasn't DEE it was 55 minutes where his heart stopped and Yosano healed him. I mixed that up somehow.
