#ive been running around stuck on Babysitter Duty for the past three days and the teacher only gave us any instructions on thursday yet #somehow expected a full paper done and edited by sunday. even if i wasnt stuck on babysitter duty she'd get a shitty paper just due to how #little TIME that is to get things done. but because i am on babysitter duty uhhh..... well so far there's no paper #ive been spending practically full days having to take care of my sister and i cant just Ignore Her so i havent done my paper while watchin #her because again: my focus needs to be on Her. and shes incredibly loud which makes it super hard to focus. fun combo /s #so i was like 'i'll just stay up Really Late and do it then' but that hasn't worked because my sister WONT GO TO BED if im awake. i was up #until 4am last night hoping she'd fall asleep and shut up and i could work but Nope! #and then i got too tired to even care anymore #i've tried explaining this to others and they're just like 'ok well you just need to find a way to make it work :/' which is very much #easier said than done! and im scared about this paper because this teacher doesnt accept late work at all for pretty much any reason #and im sure she wont understand my situation. because shes also the teacher that didnt understand that i didnt have the textbook on time #because it was still being shipped and i dont control the rate at which book ships and she was like #'..........okay well you still need to have the book by tomorrow at least <3' when i told her the book had Just shipped and idk when i'd ge #the dumb thing. so yknow i dont have high hopes about this #also just as extra 'make stuff more difficult' i have zero accommodations because my mom cant keep track of my fucking IEPs and they wont #let me have accommodations unless i have that and idk how to get a copy anymore. so i've also been running around with no help in that area #and it's not great </3 #idk im just stressed out and frustrated and i Want To Cry :) #vent

holy trinity: really weird and silly. unlike many weird and silly religious things, not even fun. its just straightforwardly nonsense, and like, they know its nonsense! they call it a mystery! what do you mean a mystery, a guy came up with it! also, who gives a shit about the holy spirit. ive discussed this at length before. the trinity is so dumb. just say jesus is his own dad, and sometimes he talks to himself cuz hes kind of dramatic! its fine! (or maybe say they WERE together and then split and then reunified? idk. its not important, just pick something that makes sense

itijihad: okay so if youre going to insist that your body of law is actually all based on some original text, youre gonna need to get reallll interpretive with that text. this is kind of stupid but also maybe a good legitimacy technique? anyway, to this end it seems like a good thing. i have kind of a hate-on for the hadiths because theyre just like, transparently made up, but they wont admit theyre made up, which i hate. if youre gonna stick to a document, stick to a document! dont make up your own rules and then lie and say they were from the original document (guy). ugh. to the extent that they deemphasize hadiths, good

the market: ive had some thoughts lately about the market. this inspired me to make a post about it.

nightcore: i like uptempo stuff but hate the high voices. i feel like it wouldnt be that hard to use like, some sort of techniques to make normal-voice nightcore. or just record uptempo covers. i wish this was more of a thing

swimming: seems kind of annoying. its like running but theres no scenery so its even more boring and also you need access to a pool. and you have to like clean yourself up after. and ALSO your breath is restricted. generally seems bad.

singapore: singapore seems cool and i wish it wasnt a dictatorship. like city states are cool, and its cool that its like rich and tropical and hyperdense and kinda technocratic but yknow. democracy good or whatever. hoping they pull a taiwan and democratize but not super expecting it

the indie game dev scene: i like it a lot! i mostly play indie games. indie games are great. i mean i love nintendo and al but the weird new stuff is mostly in the indie game scene, they seem to like, serve my desires considerably more (like, the metroidvania scene is almost all indie). also its full of auteurs! love an auteur.

orang pendek: it just looks like an orangutan? i feel like its probably just an orangutan. like its not clear whats even supposed to distinguish. surely orangutans walk on their back feet sometimes. or idk, some other primate. theres a bunch of primates in borneo and sumatra. it might be an undiscovered one but its pretty big and usually big things get found fast

the x files: i started it and didnt like it. i feel like i dont really "get it"? it seems really weird and silly and the writing wasnt doing much for me. it felt like, intentionally unsatisfying which was annoying

gnosticism: i like how its got a lot of like, "lore", thats fun. its kind of fun to reference, it has an almost-coherent theodicy which i respect. afaik its probably like mostly made up, as accusations against whoever the real gnostics were, but yknow, whatever, its kind of cool

fortran: seems bad! iirc my mom had to learn fortran. the idea of super high performance computing is cool but also like, it seems like it would be really boring irl. it would be kind of cool to do CS in ye olde times when it was actually practical for civilian (so to speak) uses.

4chan: just as men are the high-variance gender, 4chan is the high-variance social media. unfortunately negative variance will rot your brain. i think using 4chan habitually makes you a worse person, in like, a direct causal sense, it encourages neuroticism. but also the things people harvest from there are often really good, so theyre sort of making a sacrifice for the rest of us

-i just got a big brain idea: hyacinthus had a fear of heights bc of the times zephyrus scoops him to the sky and harasses him but he was able to over come it by climbing the mountains with apollo

apollo discovers the ptsd when he tried to take hya for a ride on his cloud.. pollo took off fast trying to show off hya but hya was hugging him real tight, face completely stuffed in pollo's back.. pollo thought it was cute until he noticed the shaking

hya looks up, his eyes watery and pollo's like oh shit.. pollo immediately goes does and hya takes off(he doesnt feel comfortable telling yet bc zeph and pollo r gods) then blah blah stuff happens pollo and hya get back together

they do all the hunting, music, games stuff together, climbing the mountains every few times until one day they both finally climbed to the top, enjoy scenery, AND BOOM first kiss and after that hya goes to hyperborea with pollo, gets his own swan, etc.

-guys.. i was doing more reading and remember how i talked about hya's fear of heights.. theres a description of a painting with pollo extending his hand for hya to join him on the chariot drawn by swansand hya's also holding a spear (a hint of hya's spear skills perhaps?

Hi! I saw in the tags of your post about the blades overhaul you saying that you have some thoughts about S:EC cutting out delphine and I was interesting in hearing them if you’d like to share, I was personally really disappointed when I read that they were cutting her out

It’s essentially just disappointment of seeing a mod intended on working on Skyrim’s story flaws cutting out one of the characters who I feel would need it the most. And (presumably) replacing them with someone meant to be more palatable & romanceable. Which, a romanceable Blade character isn’t a bad thing, dont get me wrong! But whenever you have these more independent characters, especially female ones like Serana, Delphine, or Astrid & the move with some mods is to make them/replace them with waifus(tm) meant to praise you every 5 minutes is....ehh. But I have high hopes this will not be the case with the new Blade introduced.

Granted the palatable replacement assumption is going off the trailers given, so I could be completely wrong! But overall, I do enjoy characters that question, or even challenge, the PCs decisions - if it isn’t just sudden/conflicting with previous writing (i love follower mods but the whole “assassin that kills the emperor is cool/you can do every other fucked up thing in this game but lord forbid you kill this one dragon” thing gets kinda silly after a bit) & felt Delphine is a great character from vanilla that would do so. Buuut Bethesda dropped the ball on that one & a lot of modders addressing the Paarthurnax quest do the same by the whole “IM THE BOSS YOU’RE JUST DUMB >:(” schtick lol. I feel like Delphine could have still been kept in to assist with recruitment or any spy-master stuff that the Blades done in earlier games, falling under the LDB as a second-in-command; but I think keeping in her willingness to question some of the LDBs decisions would be a great thing too.

Yes, it’d kill the mood for the power-players, but Delphine would essentially be the one to help the player debate or think through any actions - or even show concern should they lean more into their draconic nature if the Soul System is kept in come the final release. Hell, the mod could still keep in her distrust/dislike of Paarthurnax with all this - just have it be an actual conversation to have with her & maybe other Blades rather than what we’ve been seeing with the past Nax mods yknow?

Also I’m a Delphine stan so I’m also just a little bit salty LMAO

i said i was gonna do it, so here i am! i am writing this on the fly, making it up as i go along so who knows how long it will be! who knows. 

i have finally played every route in fe3h, including the dlc- currently im making my way through the new game+ and screaming because this is my life now apparently. this isn’t really a deep and meaningful essay just... my experience playing the game and all the routes. 

( pls note i played on casual and normal for my original playthrough because i am a wimp. for ng+ im still playing casual but this time im playing on hard. )

this is the order in which i played the routes + dlc: verdant wind, azure moon, cindered shadows, silver snow and crimson flower. 

right! so!! let’s start!

White Clouds: the first twelve chapters are obviously pretty same-y, which is fine, except when you’re playing 4 times in a row. i liked the fact that the goddess tower was unique for every route and character you were trying to get s support with. there were some unique aspects to the different house, ie. judith, arundel, rodrigue, finding out about dimitri and edelgard. but other than that i did get pretty bored when it came around to doing it... again. and idk just, like i said the reveals obviously weren’t as shocking the 4 time around but like, they were still enjoyable, which is good at least!

Verdant Wind: this route is... eh. it’s the first one i did because dear god i am in love with claude. the route in and of itself is probably one of the weakest ngl. there were things that didn’t make sense in the context of the route and unlike azure moon and crimson flower it didn’t feel unique (given that this route and silver snow are.... IDENTICAL. except the final bosses) the final boss was dope and i am obsessed with God Shattering Star, but other than that? meh. i liked it at first because it was my first one and yknow, claude. but now it’s just idk, it’s lacking. and i’m gonna be honest: i don’t like most of the class. i like claude, hilda, marianne and lysithea. that is it. the others are just overbearing or kinda boring. lorenz i just, i can’t get over his design, i know he’s a deep character but i dislike most of his c supports, i hate his hair and the way he talks. ignatz and raphael are forgettable. i know they’re also very deep characters but their surface levels make me not want to go into their characters. and just. fuck leonie, i’m sorry i just cannot handle her. she’s overbearing, annoying, thinks that because jeralt trained her she’s better than everyone??? GOD. her supports with hilda are cute, and i like her post-timeskip design but otherwise she’s one of my least favourite characters in the game. im sorry. (edit: okay im revising this because it was late at night and perhaps i was a bit harsh. i dont actually mind the characters i mentioned that much, in fact they can be quite funny, however, i still prefer characters from the other houses more.) so my verdict of this route is that i did enjoy it, i liked the cutscenes and the timeskip designs but it’s still only my second favourite. 8/10.

Azure Moon: look. i’m just saying, this route? is the best. hands down, it’s absolutely amazing. it has it’s flaws, and it’s very different from the other routes and is also very much the most fire emblem like route but that’s okay. this route is devastating, heartbreaking, really fucking sad. and that just draws me in. when i first did the route i was gonna marry mercedes because i am gay and love her but the character of dimitri is just so incredibly well done- before and after the timeskip. i like the fact that there’s essence behind his character, meaning. i actually found this route to be kinda hard in places (cornelia for example and also edelgard) and it’s also very unique. i like the way the two factions of faerghus and adrestia interact, and also the way the alliance is just dragged into it. ( claude doesn’t die which is good!!!!) in the other routes you only really see dimitri as this crazed character but in azure moon you find out WHY and yes, that is good. the characters are all very unique and i like them all they all have their own stories and characteristics that make them as unique at the route. the cutscenes and stills are, beautifully done and truly heartbreaking. and just. AH. i adore this route more than i have any right to, on the whole it’s my favourite. 10/10.

Cindered Shadows: this isn’t really a route, but that’s okay, im sure you guys don’t mind. i love the ashen wolves, they’re amazing. the story is... weak. because it doesn’t fit into the actual plot at all and that annoys me. aelfric is a character i dislike immensely but maybe that was the point? i find the explanations in the route to be its downfall, because it clashes with what we already know in the game. sitri is pretty and im glad we get a tiny bit more byleth and sitri backstory but otherwise the characters and abyss are it’s saving grace. 6/10.

Silver Snow: im gonna go ahead and say it: fuck this route. it’s verdant wind but with seteth instead of claude. it’s verdant wind but bad and boring. it’s dull and unnecessary. i had really high hopes for this route because it’s the church! i dont like the church but a route with them could be very interesting! it was not! it lacked personality, it lacked uniqueness. i don’t particularly like most of the characters and basically just used the students and fuuuuuck the final boss. the only reason i did this route was because i wanted to romance yuri but also edelgard.  2/10 would not play again.

Crimson Flower: ... ... ... WHERE ARE THE CUTSCENES!!!! where is the reunion scene between byleth and edelgard, why is it all stills!!!!!! WHY IS IT SHORTER THAN THE OTHERS!!!! WHY. the story in this route is actually very interesting, and well thought out. but the aforementioned points are what make me want to ram my head into a wall. idk why they thought to give silver snow cutscenes and not this route but it was stupid. i do like the way the portrayed the church and rhea though. as the villains they technically are. i like the characters a lot, they’re all great, and i love the angst!!! the way you get to choose if you want to spare or kill your children whom you love. ( i spared claude and lysithea because i am weak. ) but its just. the vibe of the route is ruined by the lack of cutscenes and thats dumb ik but it is what it is. and also it did NOT need to be shorter, there was no reason for it to be as short as it was. 5/10.

Yknow, I’ve read alot of letters here. Ones from people I wish I could help and some from myself. It’s strange seeing them and seeing how I and other people here have grown. Some have come and gone with out a word. Some just changed their name. I dont know why but I’ve spent alot of time thinking about things like this and myself. Sadly, I still dont know who I am. I know my name and age and everything else about me but I dont know me if you get it. I’m still figuring me out. I like to do that, figure people out. Everyone else Ive met is easy so I don’t know why I’m so difficult. But maybe that isnt healthy. Trying to figure people out like there some new challenge or something.

I’m graduating high school this week. It’s scary and exciting at the same time. Going to college will be fun. I just hope I can do it. I want to be better than before this time. I’ve said it so many times but this time I really want to try and not give up. I want to improve my life. Be better than the sad thing it is in all of my dumb letters where I let myself wallow in self pity and destroy myself from the inside. I want this time to be different. To feel worthy of the time of day and all the kindness the people in my life have to offer.

I never made up with those friends I had a falling out with and I’m oddly ok with it. They meant alot but if I’m honest with myself I didnt really get along with them in the first place. Except for O. I’ll miss her. She texted me a bit ago, something about a game she saw me take interest in. She wanted to help me with it. She didnt text again after though. She wont know but I dreamt that we were friends again. It aches but I’ll be ok. Shes moved on and so have I. Even if I want her back in my life as a friend I’ll live because I dont need her to be happy like I use to think. Though I’ll miss her and being friends I’m happy that she seems happier since we’ve stopped being close. And I have friends now that I wouldn’t trade for the world. But I’ll always be here if she ever needs it.

My dad and brother are a whole other case though. Our relationship is strangled and I believe its slowly deteriorating. We dont feel like a family. My dad and brother, they feel like a family. But me? No, I feel more like a stranger when I’m with them and I’m ok. I don’t need my brother or dad to apologize. My happiness doesnt depend on weather they love or accept me. If they wish I was dead or not just doesnt matter anymore. I’m more than what my upbringing and “loved ones” have made me believe I am. And I’m ok with it.

I am me and though I don’t know who she is yet I know that she’ll be ok. She’ll definitely fail but she’ll get back up and find her way around like she’s done countless times. I’ll be able to say I’m proud and happy to be me one day. That I love me, even if no one else does. I’ll live and love what or who I want without anyone telling me I cant someday. So I’ll be ok now.

This wont be my last letter but I hope one day there will be last and that its end is good.

@dorothycastleauthor asked me how I did the sparkle/glitter overlay on my elain edit so i’ve put together a lil tutorial!! it’s super easy but it DOES require photoshop (there are free downloads available and also the free tutorial is available even if only for a week!) 

so first, make sure you have the pic and the gif overlay that you want. here is the gif that i used and the pic i used for this tutorial 

(I ended up editing the pic a little bit to make it darker so you could see the overlay lol)

so, first, open up both the gif and the picture into photoshop. I find it easier to just right-click and “open with photoshop” rather than just dragging it in. 

so now you have both things open in ps. start with the gif. 

currently, it’s in “frame animation.” go to the bottom left (the icon to the left of “forever”) and click that. it will turn it to a “timeline animation.” 

now all of the eyes will be clicked on the layers. scroll up to the top layer and press “shift” to highlight all the layers. 

then, right click on the highlighted layers and click “convert to smart object.” this condenses the layers down to one layer that you can manipulate as it’s own. 

then, it’ll all be one layer. after that, you’ll want to manipulate it based on what type of picture you’re working with. if it’s a horizontal picture, where the gif will flow vertically, you don’t really have to manipulate the rotation too much. but the picture i’m using, i want the stars to flow horizontally. so i have to rotate it. 

i personally don’t have a good enough conceptualization of space to think about the way clockwise vs. counterclockwise will have the gif flow lol so i just click one and hope for the best yknow?? its hard being a dumb bitch. 

anyway.

choose whichever makes sense for the orientation of the picture.

then you drag the rotated gif (from the smart object layer) to the other tab with the picture. 

then, go to “edit” at the top of the screen and “free transform.” this will allow you to make the gif the correct size of the picture you’re using.

after it’s the correct size, conver the layer to a “screen” so that you can see the other pic. (otherwise it’s just the black gif and u dont want that!!!!)

once it’s a screen, you should be able to see the stars against the pic. 

once the image settings are all set, it’s time to make sure the gif is going to run properly. 

so go to the “create video timeline” and click...”create video timeline.”

then it’ll look like this:

play it a few times to make sure it loops correctly and looks good. 

now if that’s all you want to do is have the overlay sparkling over the whole pic then you’re done!! skip these next steps to the saving steps.

but if you want the object in the image to be on top of the sparkling, these are the steps. (this is what i did in the elain edit) 

first you need to outline the object and copy it to another layer. 

to ouline the object, you use the “quick selection tool.”

then run it over the whole object you want to be on the top layer. if you happen to select too much (on macs) you can click “alt” and it turns the selector into a “-” selector where you can deselect certain areas. if you choose an object that it’s high contrast with the background, this will be a lot easier.

then, copy (command+c or right click “copy”) the selected image and paste it into a layer (select the layer and press command+v or right click “paste”)

then, drag the layer with the copy on top of the layer with the gif. so it becomes “layer 1″

(it makes it easier to do these steps when you unclick the eye on the gif, so make sure you reclick it when the layers are all set.)

run the gif through so you make sure it all looks good. then you’re ready to save!

go to “file” “export” and “save for web”

click, save again (making sure it says it’ll loop forever!!!) and you’re all good!!!

Its weird how much the perceptions of queer people can change throughout history

And like i'm not just talking about how widespread predjudice is and how shitty the education is, so that a trans person like me could grow up not only not knowing they were trans until age 20 but not even knowing that trans people EXISTED. And then of course there's how the perception of the word "queer" has made a rollercoaster journey from "unrelated quaint word for slightly odd" to "homophobic slur" to "reclaimed slur" to "so reclaimed that it's used as a common umbrella term by LGBTQ rights organizations and educational systems" to "ok suddenly its a slur again and we dont know if we'll be able to reclaim it this time". And then allllso there's the fuckin annoying subject of how bigots insist upon perceiving trans women as "really just gay men" or "straight men with a fetosh for dressing up", and then trans women as also being the only trans people who exist,because trans men (and lesbians) are apparantly "just women playing at it" or "lol sexy" and somehow can't really be real. Somehow even less real than the thing they already say isnt real. Seriously, wrapping my head around how bigots think is EXHAUSTING!

Aaaaanyway all of those recent issues REALLY SUCK but then they got me thinking about how bigotry was really different just ten years ago, and how fascinating (and depressing) i found it to hear about unrecogniseably different bigotry in ancient history. So uhh yeah lets ramble about that??

Random example that I only remember because I had a Big Norse Mythology Phase in high school. Back in those times it wasn't considered gay to be attracted to men. Like.. Seriously! They still had homophobic bigotry and horrifying lynchings,banishment, social ostracization and other hate crimes. It's just that their definition of who was 'one of the bad ones' and who was 'acceptable' was wildly different from what we have today. It was like.. Not about who you were attracted to but the specifics of the act itself? They uhh..literally had top and bottom predjudice. You weren't "gay" if you had sex with men, only if you were on the bottom when it happened. Because it was "natural" for a man to be the pitcher, but "womanly and deviant" to be on the receiving end and *gasp* actually enjoy it! You could somehow retain your straightness card by topping a dude and he was the only weird one for enjoying this sex you were having. Because yknow the top is just totally imagining he's fucking a woman, so its Not Gay. Somehow.

Like there's a whole poem about two guys slinging insults at each other for five pages, and one stanza is like "i totally had sex with you and that makes you gay!" Taken to ridiculous extremes where he claims the other man is SO gay that he was somehow able to get magically pregnant and have his children. Also they were monsters because why not. But (i shit you not) he adds that they werent even PARTICULARLY SCARY monsters and that proves that you are a terrible man. For giving me a bad lay. Which somehow means you are gay and I'm not.

And like I mean.. I can understand how a culture with so many all-male sailing crews would kinda have to deal with a lot of gay relationships happening, but its just so fuckin WEIRD that they managed to do it while retaining a predjudice against them! I mean the ancient greeks had a similar situation and they very notably went full acceptance to the point even the most LGBTQ-erasing scholars can't manage to paper it over. Not that they were perfect either, of course, there was a lot of societally accepted pedophilia. But then again britain's had a history of that too, plus even worse stuff... Okay im getting offtopic, thats another subject for another day.

So yeah. Weird alternate conceptualization of sexuality. And part of me wants to laugh at those bigots being so wrong, while part of me feels relieved thinking that at least half of all gay men managed to avoid predjudice compared to how common it is in our society. But then i think about how much the "i'm on top so i'm straight" thing is played off in really creepy ways in those mythological tales. Like seriously its horrible imagining some guy raping another guy as a sign of dominance and pulling the "he enjoyed it so arrest him" card. Or lovers selling out their other half to deflect suspicion from themself, like "yeah you caught us having sex but he was the gay one." It's such a weird form of bigotry to wrap my head around, i don't even know if these worst case scenarios would have happened but i'm scared to research more into the subject in case i find triggering stuff like that.

Tho i mean this is just a factoid i found in a mythology book to explain a weird diss poem, like not even an actual history book with sources ans examples. So for all I know maybe it isnt even true? *shrug* i just thought it was interesting to think about and i hope maybe i can bump into someone else who's better informed on the topic.

Oh and also LOL just to add that I totally fell in love with norse mythology cos of Loki,became a huge Loki stan, wrote stupid fix-it fics for LITERAL MYTHOLOGY where Loki was proven right and got all his dead kids back, and throughout this entire time dumb teenage me never once thought "hmm maybe i'm fascinated by the one gay and genderfluid character because i might be queer". BUT HES ALSO A SWEET NOODLE HJKSHJKS oH and did you know that before he joined a.c.e he had no experience in dancing whatsoever and in a year and a half, he caught up with the other four members that have been dancing since they were kids?? his stage name is wow, but its hard to take seriously so the fandom just calls him sehyoon lmfao. it used to be seyoon but when he went on mixnine, he revealed sehyoon was the official romanization so here we are lmao. even if your bias isn’t sehyoon…it’s sehyoon. he’s just that guy ya feel me?? anyways sehyoon is a relatively quiet and reserved guy, but his members really pull out the dork in him, i love it so much?? he doesn’t talk much but when he does all of a.c.e directs their full attention to him to listen, its really sweet, hes pretty awkward with people but you can tell he just feels so safe and comfortable with ace it honestly warms my heart. he’s the main rapper and main dancer, but!! our multitalented man is also a vocalist. yes, you heard, me, the main rapper can sing, and really well at that. (if you scroll up back to the flashlight and dont recall covers, you can see more of his voice.)

gets the least lines, but not by much. although hearing his singing voice in their actual songs has happened like with 2 lines?? so idk man im just waiting for their ballad song that theyre apparently doing for their third song, god im so ready. i love his voice a lot, damn.

he’s also like reeeeeeeeeally gay for jason…the entire fandom ships it and they even ship it themselves. wowson, the otp of ace, they honestly just cant keep their hands off eachother??? i know a friend who struggled to tell apart jun and jason so she just looked at who sehyoon was standing next to and instantly knew it was jason. jason is his stage name that he chose for himself but his real name is byeongkwan, its another case of an idol having a stage name and nobody calling them by it?? i mean most new choice call him jason and i personally switch between the two but most choice seem to call him byeongkwan or bk if theyre extra lazy lmao. memers call him byonk sometimes.

jason is the weird child of the group and we all love him…he’s the second lil ball of sunshine and part ½ of the maknae line. he’s often found clinging to sehyoon or literally any of the members bc he’s an affectionate son who loves cuddles okay?? p r o t e c t   h i m.

he’s also the lead everything. yeah thats really not fair but jason is op ok?? singing, rapping, dancing, visual, like sehyoon he’s the full package, i can hardly call them the rap line they’re just the op line t b h. triple threats.

woojin just hears numerous stories about you like how you once won this verbal fight against this rude popular senior and her clique who were bullying a tenth grade student, or the time you pulled a prank on this serious teacher that no one saw laugh until you placed a whoopee cushion on his seat (you still got detention for that though smh), or when you were the matchmaker for pdhpe teachers, mr. park and ms. kang who are now the school’s couple goals and just other great things about you

so apart from that one time when he was zoning out in maths class and out of the window he saw you climbing over the school’s fence to skip class (he finally understood why some students refer to you as the cute fence girl)

woojin has never really encountered you before

which is really strange bc he’s developing a slight crush on you after hearing what other people say and also seeing you from afar during lunch breaks

like the sound of your personality is like making his heart go ‘!!!!’ and he can’t even explain what he’s feeling 

but he’s blaming his friends for it

and so this all changed when a classmate of yours pranked you by pouring a bucket of water at you one lunch break and in return you started a water fight in the cafeteria 

the principal heard about the chaos and started to quickly head that way 

so he witnessed you pull the fire alarm and he calls your name with pure rage that you were damn sure he was gonna hulk smash you

you made a run for it

mEANWHILE woojin just left the library and was walking towards the school canteen 

from afar he sees this girl coming closer and closer, running as if her life depended on it (cos it lowkey actually did) and he had this feeling that it was you

so as soon as you came close enough that his eyes could make clear of your appearance, he was proven right 

but further along the distance, he also sees the teachers who suck up to the principal and the principal himself trying to catch up to you

and being the smart kid he is, woojin moves to the side so he doesn’t block your way

however, you weren’t exactly the brightest during that moment and thought that he’d have to snitch on where you were gonna go and get you in more trouble

hence why you grabbed his hand and woojin’s now running with you.

you two manage to pass the school gates, cross the traffic light and hide into an alleyway seconds before the teachers reach up the gates

so you’re both heavily panting, he’s sh00k and awkward bc wth he didn’t even sign up for this crap but he immediately forgives you once he hears you break into laughter, causing him to do the same 

“sorry for dragging you.” you say sheepishly as you send an apologetic smile, “in my head, i was thinking you could have snitched and you could put me in more trouble but now that i realise, you wouldn’t have known where i was going in the first place.” 

“and now i got you into trouble too.” you mumbled to yourself sadly before your bottom lip juts into a pout

legit his heart started to parkour in his chest when he saw you pout bc he didn’t know you could be this cute??? like he expected it but he didn’t really expect it yknow

“ah, no..uhm...” he replies with a shy smile, “it’s..uh...it’s okay. i don’t mind.”

you let out a chuckle as you look at him, casually going on your toes to pat his head, “you’re pretty cute, park woojin.” 

woojin was sure he was gonna melt into a puddle after that like he doesn’t even know if he’s breathing or nah but whatever- he’s standing next to his crush who just called him cute. hE GOT CALLED CUTE. BY HIS CRUSH.

“uh...h-how did you know my name?” he says in a confused manner bc he doesn’t seem to remember telling you-

you point at the right side of his chest, “well the name tag says park woojin and i’m assuming that you’re the park woojin that the younger students are talking about.”

“you don’t know?” you say to him before you clear your throat and begin to imitate one of the ninth grade girls you tend to overhear, “park woojin - cute snaggletooth oppa. the most adorable awkward bean with reversal charms; he’s super shy but really sexy when he dances. ah, he’s so dreamy.” 

you end your acting as you clasp your hands together and you start to laugh as you notice the dark shade of red on his cheeks, paired with his red ears. 

“i didn’t know i was seen in that kind of light.” he shyly mutters to himself causing you to grin even more bc damn this boi is kinda really cute. 

“well, i can kinda see why they think of you that way.” you reply back with another grin as you notice his cheeks becoming red once again, “you just don’t know about it since the younger grades are good about keeping it lowkey from the seniors.” 

you look out of the alley, knowing that the teachers would have given up looking for you and you turn back around to him with another breathtaking smile. 

“well, you’re not really going to get any punishment apart from a detention since i’ll take all the blame for today, so mr. reversal charms how about i make up for causing you trouble by spending the rest of the school hours, skipping classes with me?”   

woojin remains in silence, almost as if he’s deciding your offer

but lmao he’s just freaking out internally bc you’re making his heart beat even faster than usual and it’s unhealthy for his kokoro plus how will he act cool around you?!?!? 

however you considered his silence as a yes and you take his hand into yours, gently dragging him causing his heart to flip. “i won’t take no for an answer, park woojin and even if it’s my first time to use it to be authoritative, you should say yes to your sunbae.” 

“o-okay, sunbaenim.” “good.” 

so now you’re just both walking wherever your feet may lead you like what you usually do when you skip classes

but his eyes are fixed on both of your hands and you look at where he’s looking before you flash a grin at him, “let’s just say that your hand looked heavy so i’m here to help you with that.” 

“wow she’s pretty cheesy. more emphasis on the pretty bit though.”

he hears you burst into laughter and he instantly covers his mouth with his free hand, realising that he didn’t just think it but he said it too. 

“d-did i say that out loud? god, i didn’t mean to. i swear- i’m so sorry ahh...this is so embarrassing.” 

but you’re just there laughing and quite close to tears which makes him lowkey satisfied bc even if he embarrassed himself in front of you, he’s making you smile (ong my goodness this is so pure and cheesy idek) 

after you calm yourself down, you shake your head in amusement.  “don’t be sorry, if anything, i’m kinda glad that my dumb ass dragged you, park woojin.”  

and so for the rest of the day, woojin finds himself falling for you harder than he had imagined. 

maybe getting into trouble will be worth it after all.

okay. lemme preface this by saying i barely scratch the surface when it comes to classic rock. in fact i just like the “popular” classic rock bands, because i’m a hipster loser (and i grew up on some of this stuff and don’t really have much of an interest venturing further but hey, who knows, maybe i’ll expand my spotify library in due time)

there are people on this website in the CR fandom who are so much better equipped to answer this, but u asked me, and i never really bothered to integrate into the cr fandom anyway because i feel like theyre all cooler than me and i just wanna sit down and listen to like, the same two albums on repeat, but anyway. to answer your question…

it really just depends on what genre you like. what kind of music you want to get into; i can sit here and tell you to listen to pink floyd and go on about their significance but i can’t make you Like them yknow?

so…..i’m just gonna list a few of my favorite songs by the most well-known classic rock bands because, like i said i just kind of barely scratch the surface on the classic rock format as a whole

as some of you may be aware, i am drew “beatlefucker” angelshane (thanks ana) and to get these bug boys out of the way, i’ll give u some song recs from the beatles! (early 1960s to 1970) (genres: rock, pop, psychedelia)

surely you’ve heard of them; if not, they caused a huge uproar across the world called beatlemania. think of like…tumblr, as a planet, and the beatles is the newest, hottest anime of the season, and everybody’s got a huge heart boner for them. because that’s basically what it was.

here are some of their songs that have been in my head for the past few days: drive my car (rubber soul, 1965); eleanor rigby (revolver, 1966); and if i fell (a hard day’s night, 1964)

revolver is the most recent album i’ve listened to, they have more but the next proper Album is sgt. pepper and that feels…like. so much. it’s a Huge Album, both content-wise and…history-wise? anyway, it’s very intimidating for me and i think i want to take my time with it before i rush in

i’m just gonna get led zeppelin (late 1960s to 1980, some reunions sprinkled here and there,) out of the way, now, too. (genres: hard rock, blues rock, folk rock, heavy metal)

let me just say right here: i hate jimmy page. as a person. and i honestly think most of his solos aren’t…that great. but for real, i won’t tolerate any of that ugly shithead on my blog and just because i like LZ doesn’t mean i condone any of the shit he did.

(you’ll notice a trend, especially in the older bands, that controversy is super common. u can’t..really get into classic rock without having to see the darker side of your faves. it sucks, nobody’s perfect, and i don’t agree with separating the artist from the art, but it does get hard to like certain music when you know the shit that happened with certain artists.)

Anyway! that being said, i truthfully only really listen to led zeppelin and led zeppelin ii. some physical graffiti but, eh. So, if you wanted to get into lz, you’re askin the wrong person, is what i’m saying jfkgsdj

if you don’t know who queen is, you know who queen is. bohemian rhapsody? of course you know that song. everyone does.

but if you don’t then that’s perfectly ok too. it’s a good song imo. not their Best, but it’s good

i gotta be honest, i listen to singles mostly. i’ve got a lot on my proverbial plate and while i Love freddie mercury (bi king) sometimes i’m just. not in the headspace for queen. they’re good but a certain specific set of circumstances need to happen where i feel aligned with queen music enough to listen to it. also, freddie’s death makes me really sad and if i think about it too hard i’ll get depressed.

Okay when i get into bands, its in my DNA to listen from the very earliest recording i can find (usually on spotify nowadays) so i’ve been sslowly working my way past the baby pebbles albums (mostly covers) to their original work (fun fact did you know john and paul of beatles fame wrote their own music, and when mick and keith of stones fame found out it was In Fact That Easy they began to write their own music too? fascinating.)

so listen up: these two kids from indiana run away to california to get out of fucking indiana, because who wants to stay in indiana, (it’s more like, one gets out, and like a year later the other kid tries to find him in the big mean streets of L.A) and along the way they get shuffled in and out of bands together. they start bands, break up bands, the whole fuckin shebang.

and then a few chance miracles happen and suddenly guns n’ roses is formed in like 1985. my boys? those are my boys.

i’m gonna do what i did w ac/dc and bullet the albums and then i’m gonna talk about the albums because i got SHIT to SAY

appetite for destruction (1987); welcome to the jungle, out ta get me, paradise city, sweet child o’ mine, ROCKET QUEEN

all right so here’s the deal, it was very hard not picking every single song on the album because every single song on the album is fucking perfection. actual gold. there’s no flaws in this album. Nothing. everything is good and perfect and i’m not biased at all

did you know axl rose (one of the boys from indiana) recorded each line individually? so, he sang a line, and then stopped recording, and then started recording the next line because he wanted it to be perfect?

did you know appetite was originally a flop album but after this dude got the guys at MTV to play the music video for Jungle at like 5am, guns n’ roses BLEW THE FUCK UP. Everybody know about them practically overnight. it was surreal and really cool, apparently.

and did you know axl played the synthesizer in paradise city? that’s adorable. i fucking love him.

gn’r lies (1988); patience; used to love her

the first four tracks in this EP are from their very first EP ever recorded - it Sounds like it’s taken from a live show but they dubbed in the audience in post, to make it seem like they had huge crowds attending their shows when in reality that wasn’t the case. (their first ep was released in december 1986, they had loyal fans but the crowd wasn’t that rowdy until after appetite came out)

believe me when i tell you. don’t listen to one in a million. or like, do. but i’m not gonna fight anyone about this. it’s fucked up. i’m not defending axl at all and i actually struggled with liking guns after i listened to it.

but unfortunately here we are and i saw them in concert and i had to deal with some fuckhead in the row behind me and his friend who kept Shouting that they play the song, when nobody on stage could her them, and like. of course they wouldn’t play it today. fuck off man

use your illusion i (1991); right next door to hell; dust n’ bones; perfect crime; november rain; BAD APPLES; COMA

i tried to limit these to five songs an album but i fuckin can’t, anon. illusion1 is just so fucking perfect. i can’t choose between my children. pls forgive me

on dust n’ bones and double talkin’ jive is izzy stradlin doing vocals (the second indiana boy, the one who left indiana first) and he’s regarded as the most unnderrated member in gnr by like everybody. so much so that it’s almost…too much. but like basically he was addicted to drugs and everything and then he sobered up when everyone else in the band was still hooked and he was like “wtf i’m out” and axl was like noooo :(

use your illusion ii (1991); civil war; 14 years; GET IN THE RING; locomotive; estranged; you could be mine

UYI1 and 2 were released on the same day. can you imagine how fuckin wild that day was? gnr fans scrambled to their record stores by the hordes probably.

izzy does vocal work in 14 years and this album was his last contribution to the band

uhhhh this album is also fucking perfect but i get sad listening to it sometimes so i try not to? very emotionally driven work. but like, where UYI1 was mostly passionate and angry-ish based, UYI2 is much more contemplative and uhh. sad. i guess.

“the spaghetti incident?” (1993)

this is a cover album and also the last album to feature my love, my soul, my light, my heart, slash. also duff. i mean i love him probably almost just as much but, yeah. duff actually looks like my cousin’s dad so i can’t really…. um. i feel weird about talking about him kjdfgd

but SLASH my god what a perfect man. i love him more than almost everything.

hey fun fact in between UYI and TSI, guns n’ roses toured with metallica and that tour is when slash, In His Autobiography, said he “lost” axl. his word. he Lost axl.

axl rose is a whole fuckin…..topic for another time, and i’m not gonna get into my own bullshit here, but that’s basically the situation when you listen to TSI. the band is fractured and barely holding together. after TSI, slash and duff leave GNR and axl is the only original member from the band still in it

(of course that opens up a conversation of who was originally in guns n’ roses but that’s another discourse for another time)

CHINESE DEMOCRACY (2008); CHINESE DEMOCRACY; BETTER; THERE WAS A TIME; SORRY; MADAGASCAR; PROSTITUTE

I. FUCKING. LOVE. THIS. ALBUM. MORE THAN I COULD EVER EXPRESS. everyone says it’s “not gnr” of COURSE it isn’t gnr, when YOU think of GNR, you see slash. and like, i love slash? but he didn’t make the band. EVERYONE - axl, izzy, steven, duff, And slash made the band. after steven was kicked, gnr lost a huge part of what made them stand out, what made the band unique.

and like, fuck, i love dizzy. i love all of the new additions. but you cannot. fucking look me in the eyes and tell me you love UYI But you hate CD because it’s “not gnr”. like. fuck you man.

ugh anyway. i just gotta let y’all know my Stance on this. i love chinese democracy. i’ll defend this album with my fucking life. i was really…disappointed when, at my concert, i didn’t hear more CD but like i also saw slash in person (albeit, from far away, but we shared the same arena and that’s. more than i can handle)
