Nimoo is a dancer in a traditional Ladakhi group. Ladakhi people have a beautiful culture that shares similarities with their Tibetan neighbors. The Ladakhi traditional outfits are some of the most sophisticated in the world. Nimoo’s shoes, for example, are called pabu and are made of woven yak hair. Her headdress is called perak and is studded with gemstones, being passed down from mother to daughter. I took this photo in Leh, Northern India, last year.

Many people of the world celebrate Mother’s Day today. So I want to share with you a photo that I took in 2020, in Bangkok. Miah, the mother, was born in Singapore and has Indonesian, Malay and Chinese origins. Haley, the daughter was born in Thailand and has also Dutch origins. My love and admiration to all mothers of this diverse world.

You hear so many things about Iran, in the media, and almost everything is about politics. But first of all a country is its people so let’s get to know them too.
Farnoush studies violin since her childhood. When I met her, last year in Tehran, the capital of the country, she was both nervous and excited because she was preparing for her first concert.

Book 2 au: sparring sessions and short hair katara
They like to have sparring sessions in order to keep their bending skills sharp. They allow themselves to go all out and not hold back at all cause they know if anyone got hurt, Katara could just heal them
But anyways, wouldn't it be kinda funny if Zuko accidentally burned Katara's hair tho? Aofkqldkkajfjd
The "I think we can save the hairloops" line is from @linnoya-writes thank you for that!! :>>

couldnt stop thinking about this idea i had of lu tens spirit being tethered to his medal that zuko gave iroh at his funeral so hes now cursed to have a front row seat to all their life-threatening shenanigans without actually being able to do anything about it so hes the most stressed guardian spirit of all time

I photographed Kamila a few months ago in Islamabad, Pakistan. Since childhood, Kamila wanted to dedicate a big part of her life to meaningful causes. So she started volunteering and teaching underprivileged kids when she was only 13 years old. Later, when she was 17 she founded a non profit with a colleague to provide education to children of families living bellow the poverty line. One year later she also founded an animal shelter with her sister. Since then Kamila raised funds, helped hundreds of children and rescued over 1.000 animals. She’s still very young but her achievements are already impressive.

I photographed Nma a few years ago in Sulaymaniyah, a city in the Iraqi Kurdistan. She is a Zoroastrian. Her religion is one of the world’s oldest organized faiths.

anyway zukka is so fucking good it's about zuko feeling like his bending will never be good enough and then meeting this brilliant badass nonbender boy it's about sokka feeling underestimated/unseen and zuko seeing him as so talented and intelligent that he's literally irreplaceable it's about zuko seeing himself as irredeemable and sokka treating him like an equal
it's about both of them growing up lonely and finding company in each other it's about both of them being surprised by how easy it is to be around each other it's about sokka talking and zuko listening it's about zuko having trouble understanding people and sokka being endlessly patient and helpful
it's about both of them growing up with warrior fathers who expected them to be warriors and turning out to be softhearted diplomats
