Hello! How about Matsukawa/Sawamura Florist AU & Magical Accidents
Fanfiction Trope Mashups
“Youknow,” drawled Matsukawa, leaning against the counter and watchingDaichi work, “this would go a lot faster if you used a littlemagic.” Daichi ignored him, too busy propagating succulents. “Justthink of it, Sawamura,” Matsukawa continued. “The only mage-ownedflower shop in town, and you don’t even sell magical flowers. It’spathetic.”
“Ihave yet to see one magically-enhanced flower that was more beautifulthan what nature could create,” Daichi said without looking up fromhis work.
“Okay, that was beautiful,” Matsukawa said. “But consider this:everything in here takes time to grow. What if you just-” hesnapped his fingers and the succulent in Daichi’s hand blossomedfrom a single leaf to a full-sized plant. Daichi dropped it on thecounter in his surprise, then glared at Matsukawa.
“Don’tdo that,” he said.
“What, this?” Matsukawa asked, grinning and snapping his fingers again. All the leaves spread out in front of Daichi grew into adult plants.
“Yes,that,” Daichi snapped. “You don’t know what you’re playingwith-” Even as Daichi spoke, the succulents continued to grow untilthey were five times their normal size. And they kept growing. “Seewhat you’ve done?” Daichi asked, leaning under the counter torifle around for his grimoire. He pulled it out and started leafingthrough it, looking for anything to stop the plants that were nowtwenty times their normal size. Matsukawa was beginning to lookworried. He snapped his fingers again, but nothing changed.
“Idon’t know what I did,” Matsukawa said. “I just wanted them togrow faster.”
“Yousucceeded,” Daichi said. “Now, stand back, and don’t touchanything or I might end up overrun with magical plants.” Daichifolded his hands over a succulent and started humming to himself, channeling his magic into the plant where it mingled withMatsukawa’s. Daichi blushed to feel their magics so intimatelylinked, but pushed aside the sizzling attraction to focus on what hewas doing. Finally, the plants stopped growing. “There,” Daichisaid, voice filled with relief.
Helooked up to find Matsukawa staring at him, a blush on his face and abright light in his eyes. Daichi raised an eyebrow at him and heshook his head. “You’rejust amazing is all,” Matsukawa said, leaning back onto thecounter. “So what are you going to do with those?” he asked, nodding toward the oversized succulents.
“I’mgoing to mark them up and sell them,” Daichi replied. “Someonewill fall in love with them. Someone falls in love with everything inhere.”
“Yougot that right,” Matsukawa said.

Hello, me again! Kurodai where everyone thinks they are dating but they aren't even though they spend every free moment together and cuddle more than most friends.
Daichi is tucked away under Kuroo’s arm, his head resting nicely in the crook of his neck, and he could just close his eyes and fall asleep if they weren’t watching a movie. Actually, it sounded quite tempting. It’s been a long day, and though he’s always up for dumb comedies, sleep is also nice, and if he was to close his eyes for a bit, Kuroo would probably wake him up before his favorite part came on anyway… but no. Daichi forced himself to stay awake, fighting the temptation to close his eyes and let naptime win.
Kuroo’s hand ran up and down his arm, stopping to give him a slight pinch on the forearm, jolting Daichi awake for sure. Daichi pouted, turning to bury his head further into Kuroo, mumbling out a protest. “You’re missing out.” Kuroo teased, before reaching to pull the covers over their laps and fend off the cold. “I don’t care…” Daichi complained. “You gotta stay up. Bo will be home soon, and you promised you’d help me dye his hair.”“I regret it now. Want a nap.” “Fine… nap, I’ll wake you when he gets here.”“Thank you.” Daichi turned, his own arms coming to wrap around Kuroo’s torso as he melted into his best friend’s side, letting sleep win and closing his eyes for a short nap.
Tetsurou sighed to himself, relaxing to Sawamura’s soft snores as he slept away. He tried focusing on the screen, though the movie wasn’t as interesting anymore. Instead, his eyes were focused on his phone, flipping through social media platforms and answering the occasional text. A key inserted into the front door caused Tetsurou to look up briefly, “Oh, hey Oikawa.”“Tetsu-chan! Hello!” Oikawa called out, stopping in his tracks after entering the apartment, “Oh… sorry, didn’t realize Sawamura was here and sleeping. I’ll be quiet now.”“It’s fine… how was class?”“Class was great! As expected from astronomy!”“When Bokuto gets here we’re dying his hair.”“Ooh, it’s about time. His roots look terrible.”“You can’t say things like that, you know how he gets about his hair…”“Yeah, yeah…” Oikawa waved off, “I’m off to my room, let me know when he gets here.”“Sure thing.”
Tetsurou turned back to his phone, scrolling away as he waited for his other roommate to come home. He got a text from another friend, Daichi’s roommate, in the meantime.
From: Moniwa-kun
> Stress baking again! Any requests? Dai’s not answering me back!
> Great choice, tell the bf I said hello~~
Tetsurou nodded his head, making a mental note to tell Sawamura when he woke him up about Moniwa’s greeting. He then received a snapchat from Kita, Daichi’s third roommate. It was a photo of him and Moniwa in aprons holding up whisks.
@kita_shin : don't forget pizza tomorrow at 8pm
>> @kurokuro : dai and i will be there !
“Hey, hey, hey!” Bokuto called out a he entered their dorm. Kuroo greeted him back and then turned to shake Sawamura awake, but instead let him be, “Are you all ready to help me? I have a date with Ushijima tomorrow, so we have to get started.”“Oh yeah? Congrats, Bo.” Kuroo stated.“Yeah, i’m super nervous about it though.”“How come? You’ve hung out with Ushijima before.”“Yeah, but he’s Sawamura’s friend, more than yours, so by association we’re not that close. There’s still a lot to learn about him. Oh! I know!” Bokuto hooted, “You and Sawamura can come on my date too! We can double date!”“Double date? Why would Sawamura and I--”“Oh, come on, Kuroo! You can tell me that you and Sawamura are dating, it doesn’t have to be a secret anymore.”“Wait what?”“Everyone knows it by now. You can stop with the act.”“It’s not an act! Sawamura and I aren’t dating!”“Well, why not? You two are always together, and even now you’re all cuddled together like boyfriends!”“...W-what makes you even think that I like him that way?”“Oh ho? You so do…” Bokuto teased, eyebrows waggling suggestively.

Hey there! For the Directors Cut, guides and guardians. Honestly I hope this goes through, ive had the worst luck with asks even getting to the person using the mobile app.
Heya @thatishogwash! It got through, no worries. Apologies for taking a while to answer though. Hmm, of guides and guardians, a very interesting choice.
It’s one of the stories written for the word + ship meme prompts, and it’s one that I really enjoyed writing. Although, it did give me a challenge to think of a scenario wherein the use of a storm isn’t that generic (although it still ended up like that somehow orz) But it’s because of this challenge that inspired me to write a gods AU. Also its influenced by Ky’s (the requester :)) amazing gods AU fic (since I thought that she might like a gods AU hehehe). Then I thought of the conception of gods, as influenced by the PJO series, and how in that universe, its the belief of the people that perpetuates the lives of the gods. Like, as long as they’re alive in people’s consciousness, they will continue to exist.
And so we had a god!Kuroo (who also satisfies my craving to see one of them in a yukata of sorts) and a human!Daichi who ‘accidentally’ stumbled upon his forgotten shrine. Accidentally because while not explicit in the story, i have in mind that Kuroo definitely asked favors from fellow gods for the storm to happen, and his shape shifter best friend, Kenma to lead Daichi to his cave/shrine, just so he can finally meet this man who keeps hiking on the mountain he guards.
Things will probably change a bit, if you read it again, but now having this in mind. ;)
Thank you very much for the ask, Courtney!

Hello! For the fic ask, whats your favorite line of narration in if you travel through the woods?
Hello, my dear! Thank you for your ask!
For this fic, my favourite line of narration, or lines of narration, are the ones that have to do with night elf!Kuroo. But here’s just one of them:
The shape that the shadow takes is distinctively humanoid, like someone had cut out a patch of the woods in the shape of a person and filled it with the night sky, moulded over long limbs and a broad-shouldered torso. Amber eyes blink slowly at Daichi as the shadow stops before him and Daichi gets the impression that the shadow is smiling at him, or rather, smirking at him.
[Ask me about my fics!]

The fifth part of Allies of Kurodai KHR AU (1, 2, 3, 4). Also posted in AO3. I was going to post this much, much earlier (early january) as a birthday gift for our boy Sawamura Daichi and @thatishogwash who gave me a wonderful birthday gift, and I did manage to get it halfway done, but the ending just didn’t want to work with me T_T So here it is, six months late, but here nonetheless.
Last but not least, Happy late birthday, Daichi!! Happy late birthday, Courtney!!
The silence is deafening.
All the inner circle of Karasuno is present, and yet... none of them speak a word, still reeling from Suga’s report. His right-hand man’s face is blank and neutral, wiped of all and any expression, which he only does when he is struggling to control himself. The rest of the family is no better, in various state of shock and disbelief.
They initially thought that only the inner circle—at least the boss and the guardians—goes into hiding, cutting off all contact with outside world to keep themselves from getting tracked and monitored. It is a logical move, especially if they share the same suspicion. However, it seems it is only the tip of the iceberg.
It’s not just the inner circle, it is the entirety of Nekoma family.
It all started when Ukai tried to contact Naoi and the rest of his contacts in Nekoma after hearing what the Nekoma guardians have done, only to encounter the same problem with Daichi and the family had. However, it was only until they received an unprecedented call from old man Ukai himself, who had mostly kept to himself since his retirement, telling him that he lost contact with Nekomata and Kuga of the Nekoma Council and Representatives that they realized it wasn’t just Nekoma’s inner circle.
All the businesses of which Nekoma ownership and affiliation are known are closed down and stop operating without any announcement when they will resume operation. Karasuno, being their oldest and main ally, knows the lesser known businesses, but when they checked on them, it is to find only the civilian members taking care of the operations. The mafia members are nowhere to be seen.
Their known gathering places and bases, including the compound, has shown little to no activity. When they tried to check for heat and motion signatures, there was no signs of life. They are empty, abandoned.
It is as though Nekoma has never existed.
If Daichi isn’t deeply entrenched in hyper dying will state, he will feel the chill crawling down his spine. It is as unbelievable as it is terrifying.
Nekoma is a relatively small family, but it doesn’t make it easier to make hundreds of people disappear without a trace, but most importantly, without tipping anyone. Suga and Chikara take particular pride in having their ear to the ground, quick to hear any rumors circulating in the mafia, and yet they are completely caught unawares, by their very own ally, nonetheless. Naturally they take it as a personal affront and challenge.
The two threw themselves into the investigation, pulling Tsukishima and their tech division along. They are nothing short of thorough and meticulous, and yet they find nothing definitive when exactly Nekoma people started disappearing. All the witnesses who saw them last gave the similar testimony, they went on their day like usual and gone in the next. They gave out the most common excuses that no one paid them any mind and only until later those witnesses realized they haven’t seen them in days. It was so smooth and seamless, causing no disturbance to the people around them that their absence went largely unnoticed.
But what terrifies Daichi more is how all the signs are pointing out that this is more than simple tactical withdrawal.
“This-This can’t be true.” Ryuu voices their disbelief out loud. “That’s just-” His hands and eyes flail wildly around the room, wanting someone to disprove him. “An entire family. Gone. Just like that.”
“Unfortunately, that’s exactly what all the evidence suggests.” In contrast, Tsukishima sounds bored and uncaring, catching the family off guard at the reappearance of old Tsukishima who hides behind tall, thick walls. Daichi might be the only one who is not surprised and finds the irony that the person who broke those walls down is the same one who makes him retreat back into their safety.
“How can you say that so calmly?!” Ryuu slams the table loudly as he leans forward towards Tsukishima in anger. Kinoshita and Noya sitting next to him swivel around in surprise at the outburst. “Don’t you care at all? It’s Nekoma! Our friend and ally! Do you forget who take you under their wing and treat you like their own?!” Scared and surprised, Yachi tucks herself close to Hinata, keeping him from getting involved in the argument, though in defense of Tsukishima or in agreement with Ryuu, it’s a toss-up.
“Enough.” Daichi cuts Ryuu off before he can cause further damage with his words. His oldest friend can be so sharp and dense at the same time. Daichi directs his attention towards his mentor and advisor. Ukai has remained quiet and serious throughout the meeting, his arms crossed and his cigarette unlit. It is an alarming sight for those who has seen the man taking out a fresh cigarette and lighted it using the fire from attack thrown at him without batting an eyelash in the middle of an all-out war. Kiyoko next to him is also wearing similar expression, indicating the significance of Nekoma’s course of action.
“Keishin-san.”
“Don’t tell me you've forgotten what I taught you?” Ukai drawls carelessly, but his eyes are sharp when his gaze meets his own. “There are three possibilities when an opponent withdraws their forces. Retreat, rebuilding…”
“…or retaliation.” Daichi continues, holding his mentor’s gaze. “It’s a feigned retreat, isn’t it?”
It is one of the tactics what the Ancient Mongols are renowned of. Pretending to be defeated, exhausted and confused, suddenly retreating from the battlefield, tricking their opponents to think they have routed them and to give chase, only for the retreating Mongols to fire upon them, and turning the tables on the scattered, uncoordinated opponents.
For those who underestimate Nekoma, it’s a tactic to lull them into a sense of complacency. For those who don’t, it’s a tactic to keep their eyes open and their guard up.
“They’ve never done this before.” Daichi looks towards Ukai for confirmation. The Karasuno advisor has made it his mission that Daichi knows all he has to know about Karasuno and the mafia. Karasuno and Nekoma have been so closely intertwined that he received his fair share of Nekoma’s history as he learned about Karasuno’s.
Even from the small glimpse of their past and their current interaction with Nekoma, he can easily understand why Nekoma outlasts bigger, powerful families. They are not only an embodiment of the cats they are renowned of, but also the Mist flames they are strong in. However, those traits do not make Nekoma trustworthy, if it isn’t for the delicate balancing act the Nekoma bosses have done, that could only be achieved with their brilliance and cunning.
They knew how to pick the battles to win the war. They knew how and when to push forward and pull back. Tactical retreat was one strategy that Nekoma often employed, which was usually followed by a clever maneuver that put them in the advantage. Feigned retreat though… Nekoma was not in position when they could afford to employ that tactic without putting themselves at a disadvantage. Nekoma is old and experienced, but they are not exceptionally powerful and influential. Nekomata came close to in achieving this and many believed that he would be leading Nekoma to the golden age. However, he took everyone by surprise by stepping down and handing the leadership over to Kuroo instead. While Nekoma is more strongly established under Kuroo, they are still nowhere close to make such bold, risky move.
“No, they have not.” Kiyoko confirms. Being the future advisor of Karasuno and successor to Ukai, Kiyoko’s knowledge of the history of Karasuno and the mafia is impeccable.
“What changes?” Even as he asks the question, Daichi knows the answer.
“Kuroo Tetsurou.” Ukai sums it up in two words, in one person, and no truer words have been spoken. Kuroo is not a typical Nekoma boss. He has far reaching dream and aspiration for Nekoma. He inspires loyalty in the men who are renowned for their calm and rationality. Daichi believes that is why Nekomata decided to step down, because he saw Nekoma's golden age in Kuroo, but it is not an opinion that many people share. They only see another Mist Nekoma boss and that will prove their greatest undoing.
“What does Kuroo-san have to do with it?” Hinata asks slowly and carefully. He still has a look of confusion on his face, but he knows intuitively whatever it is, it is bad enough for the reckless guardian feel the need to tread lightly.
“Sugawara?” Ukai tilts his head towards the frozen figure of the Lightning guardian who has the expression as though he was struck by his own element. Suga's eyes alternate between Daichi and Tsukishima with dawning comprehension. It doesn’t last long as the blank and neutral mask returns to his face.
“There are rumors,” Suga pauses. “Rumors that Nekoma leader is dead.” There is a moment of stunned silence before the room descends into chaos. It is one thing to believe that the whole family is gone without a trace, they know the Cats are capable of it, but it is another to believe that the sly and cunning leader of Nekoma is dead.
Despite having been long-time allies and seen the sides of Kuroo that only friends and allies are privy to, his guardians still find the Nekoma boss somewhat intimidating. They hold him in almost the same regard with Daichi himself. The thought, the possibility alone, that Kuroo dying is as preposterous as Daichi dying. In another time and circumstance, he will find their reaction amusing, if he doesn’t know better.
"How sure are you of the rumor?” Daichi is glad for the clarity and insight the hyper dying will state provided. Otherwise his composure will have been in pieces and that is the last thing he or his family needs. His question is enough to put order in the room.
“With nothing to go on, we cannot be sure but...” Daichi inwardly admires Suga’s calm, but he knows the storm brewing underneath the Lightning guardian’s surface.
“…It rather explains the drastic measure Nekoma has taken.” Daichi comes to the conclusion on his own. He hates to see the light dim in his family’s eyes as they begin to understand the situation. Chikara speaks up, putting down his phone on the table, his expression troubled.
“While the rumor hasn’t caught up with the rest of the mafia, they have noticed Nekoma’s diminishing presence, and speculation runs rampant that we have something to do with it.”
Ukai lets out a long string of curses enough that Daichi very much likes to say himself, but he is more focused on pushing down the headache that threatens to appear. What a predicament they are in. He briefly forgets that despite being known as allies, Karasuno-Nekoma relationship of late has been known to be strained. They will naturally be the main suspect for any questionable circumstances happening to Nekoma. It doesn’t help that they are also currently in hiding, which will easily add fuel to the rumors. They have to act fast before the rumors take hold and are taken advantage of by their mysterious enemy. He cannot help the whisper of thought in the back of his mind wondering whether Nekoma is aware of the consequences of their action to Karasuno.
No matter, Daichi decides. “It doesn’t matter,” he repeats out loud to his family, catching their attention.
“We all know the truth, and that’s what matters the most.” Daichi sweeps his gaze over his family. “We don’t know what happens to Nekoma, but we do know this: there are people who don’t only want to destroy us and Nekoma, but also the alliance that we hold dear… and they are still out there, waiting for the chance to make it happen.”
“Now the question is, are you going to let them?”
The answer is a resolute and resounding no. The light has returned into his family’s eyes, their eyes hard and determined. Nekoma is more than just their ally, they are as close as family. Whoever targeting their family will pay.
“Make the preparations. You have your assignments.”
“Yessir!” All the guardians stand up and go to do their part, except for Suga who moves towards the head of the table where Daichi remains with Ukai and his team.
“We need to start a rumor of our own,” Daichi starts. Suga nods.
“I’ve given the order to Chikara.” They turn to Yui with her multiple covers and aliases that make it easy for her to get close to and whisper into the ear of the rumormongers of the mafia.
“Leave it to me.” Yui bounces on her heels lightly, her smile bright and mischievous. It never fails to warm Daichi’s heart to see his childhood friend retain her cheery attitude.
“Me and Akiteru will help,” Saeko offers.
“I’ll keep the infirmary ready and fully stocked,” Ikejiri adds.
“I will go through all potential suspects who might benefit from Karasuno and Nekoma’s downfall,” Kiyoko speaks up.
“Keishin-san, can you meet with Ukai-san?”
“You think it’s bigger than us?” Ukai raises an eyebrow. Old Man Ukai has made it clear that he is not to be disturbed unless great emergency. His mentor knows that it is not a decision Daichi makes lightly to involve his predecessor.
“I don’t think. I believe,” Daichi corrects Ukai.
“That’s Sky intuition speaking, isn’t it?” Ukai doesn’t question Daichi further since he has come from a line of Sky flame wielders. He knows better to trust Sky intuition. Ukai exchanges a look with his team, they have their assignments. It’s time to move out. One by one walks out the conference room, Ukai is the last to go.
“I’ll be gone for a while. You know how difficult the reception is there.”
“Regular check-in for every 24 hours.” Daichi reminds him. Ukai merely waves in acknowledgment without turning around.
With his family on the move, Daichi doesn’t stay any longer in the conference room. He leaves the room, heading towards his office with Suga by his side. He knows that Suga has something to say to him, but his right-hand man will wait until they are within the privacy of his office. He blinks in surprise when he finds Chikara waiting when they get in the office. Yui and Ikejiri are his childhood friends, Chikara and Ryuu are his oldest friends, and Suga is his best friend. Five of them, besides Ukai, are the people in the family who know Daichi best. Whenever they join forces, they mean business.
An intervention.
Daichi delays the inevitable by taking his time to take a seat at his table. Chikara and Suga stand before him, presenting a united front and Daichi immediately knows he is in trouble.
“Alright.” Daichi clasps his hand in front of him, taking the initiative. “What is it?”
“When did the last time you drop the hyper dying will state?” Suga goes straight for the jugular. Of course, that’s what Suga does. Daichi knows better than to answer.
“You have been keeping it up since you tried calling Kuroo-san, haven’t you?” Chikara guesses. His silence is enough confirmation for his friends who exchange worried looks.
“What happened, Daichi?” Suga asks gently. Daichi knows that his friends are willing to wait however long it takes for him to speak.
“…He didn’t pick up, when he should have.” The words are torn out of his throat. “…He promised.” Despite the maintained calm, sadness and bitterness still escape, tingeing those two words with emotion.
“You can’t keep this up,” Chikara states matter-of-factly, but concern is writ all over his features.
“I can.” Daichi sees his friends about to protest, he amends, “I have to.” He looks at them and wishes they understand that it is not an option for him. It is a necessity. The moment he drops the state, he is going to break, and he doesn’t know whether he can pick up the pieces. It is Suga who reaches understanding first, his face turns sympathetic.
“Oh, Daichi.” Fortunately, Suga doesn’t try to comfort him, Daichi’s hold on his emotions is strenuous enough. He is not sure what will happen if he receives comfort and reassurance.
“What can we do?” Chikara frowns, his dismay at the situation clear.
“I don’t think there’s much you can do, except giving me time and space to readjust my hold on the hyper dying will state whenever it threatens to slip.”
“We can do that.” Suga nods in determination. Chikara follows not a second behind.
“Thank you.” Daichi is truly grateful for his friends and family. He doesn’t know he can get through the trying times without them. He finds himself breathing easier, relaxing in the presence of his most trusted people.
However, that peace isn’t meant to last. The office phone suddenly rings.
The display indicates the call is from the tech division. Thinking it is important, Daichi puts them on speakerphone. Suga and Chikara step closer to the phone in curiosity.
“Sawamura.” Daichi answers.
“Daichi-san, Bokuto-san is demanding a meeting with you.” Tsukishima rushes out, urgency in his voice.
“Tsukishima?” Before he can ask for clarification the door to the office slams open, admitting the familiar figure of Fukurodani boss in all his white-black-gold glory.
Daichi has gotten to his feet before Bokuto made his entrance, registering the strong intent to kill. It still doesn’t prepare him enough when the Sun boss closes the distance in a blink of an eye and picks him up bodily off the ground by his shirt.
“Sawamura!” The genial expression is gone from the always cheerful Bokuto Koutarou. In its place is pure rage and hate, and for the first time Daichi understands why this man is feared so much. This is the sword of Amaterasu, Bokuto ‘Kusanagi’ Koutarou.
Suga and Chikara readily come to defense of their leader, summoning their flames to their weapons only to be confused when they barely flicker into existence.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” Akaashi Keiji, Fukurodani’s second-in-command and Rain guardian calmly walks in in his leader’s wake, he has inconspicuously created a nullifying zone with his senbons around Suga and Chikara, stopping them from using their flames. Suga and Chikara are not helpless without their flames, but Bokuto has Daichi, staying their hand.
“Shitshitshit.” Daichi faintly hears from the other end of the still connected phone. He wants to tell Tsukishima to stay away, but he knows better than to look away in the face of danger.
Daichi doesn’t fight back, he remains calm and unresisting in Bokuto’s hold. His intuition tells him this is the best course of action.
“What. Did. You. Do?” Bokuto shakes Daichi roughly with every word.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Daichi has an idea, but he doesn’t want to jump into the wrong conclusion, lest he angers the Fukurodani further.
“Don’t fucking lie to me!” Bokuto yells into his face, shaking him hard. “Kuroo tried to fix things with you and your family! And now he’s not picking up his phone, and his family’s gone!”
“What. Did. You. Do, Sawamura?” Bokuto speaks through gritted teeth, his eyes bright and wild, repeating the question. Daichi goes through every answer he can give, but every single one of them feel inadequate for this man who cares so much for Kuroo that he comes by himself to find out what happens to his best friend, that his rage and hate cannot quite cover his pain and grief that he all knows to well.
“I… fucked up, Bokuto. I fucked up.”
“…Explain.” Owl-like eyes narrow at the admission.
“We met in secret. Just six of us. Just two of us and two of our guardians. But we were attacked. Kuroo… Kuroo got hurt protecting me.” The grip tightens painfully at the mention of Kuroo getting hurt.
“How do I know you’re not lying?” Daichi cannot blame Bokuto for not believing him. They have no witnesses who can corroborate to their story besides Nekoma, who are not in position to; and circumstantial evidence that suggests an ambush and cover-up but doesn’t clear Karasuno from suspicion. Daichi takes a deep breath and meets Bokuto’s gaze head on.
“I swear on the life of my family that I’m not lying.”
The following stillness is wrought with tension. It feels like that they are teetering on the edge. No one dares to breathe, no one dares to move, not wanting to be the one to tip the balance.
Those strong, broad shoulders suddenly go slack, so does his grip on Daichi. Before he can register, Daichi has been put down on the floor. Bokuto appears calmer now, instead the enraged beast he was, but the danger doesn’t dissipate. His luminous eyes seem to bore deep into his soul, stripping him naked from any lies or pretenses. Daichi has nothing to hide, he raises his chin and straighten himself up, not fearing the other’s judgment.
“You’re the kind of man who’d live and die for his family. You won’t just throw out those words lightly.” Bokuto cocks his head, his eyes not blinking, the gesture eerily reminiscent of the owls Fukurodani is renowned of. “At least, that’s what Tetsu told me.” Daichi tries very hard not to visibly react, not only at the mention of Kuroo, but also at the intimate address of and the ringing endorsement from Kuroo. “I trust Tetsu’s judgment. Hinata and Tsukki won’t follow just anyone, either.”
It is such a blunt and honest statement, but it is also the very thing that nearly undoes Daichi: Bokuto’s strong and unwavering faith in Kuroo.
Regardless, Daichi doesn’t let himself falter and remains clear-headed enough to realize that Bokuto is withholding his own judgment. It is only because of Kuroo and his self-proclaimed proteges that stay his hand. He is still on thin ice.
“You’ve always been too soft, Kou-san.”
To his shock and horror, grey spikes suddenly sprout from the floor around his guardians. One particular sharp spike is terrifyingly close to the jugular, enough to draw blood. The spikes are arranged as such that neither Suga nor Chikara is able to move without risking themselves to bleeding to death.
"Suga! Chikara!"
Seeing his family in danger, in a matter of milliseconds, Daichi sinks deeper into hyper dying will state, his eyes and hands blazing with orange flames of the Sky, launching himself towards the Cloud user who dares to lay their hands on his family.
"No! Sawamura!"
Then Bokuto is there, catching both of his wrists in a strong grip, his own eyes and body are blazing with yellow flames of the Sun. The action alone is enough to stop Daichi in his tracks. Bokuto who is quick to defend his family with his body, who takes any slight against his family as well as Asahi, should be the last person to stop him. Daichi narrows his eyes, catching the underlying concern, for him. Why is Bokuto so concerned for him for attacking this person?
Why? Who...?
When he looks beyond Bokuto's broad shoulders, getting the first glimpse on the intruder, Daichi promptly freezes as he registers their appearance.
Dark curly hair, dead fathomless eyes, two distinct moles and dark mask covering lower half of their face. The unmistakable yellow and black ensemble.
Sakusa Kiyoomi.
Sakusa Kiyoomi of Itachiyama.
Also known as the Prince of the Underworld.

Hello hello! Trick or treat with Bokuto/Sawamura
come trick-or-treat in my inbox requesting ficcies and I’ll either treat you to some fluff or humor or trick you with a horribly twisted sad AU  (I’ll spin a coin to pick trick or treat)
Treat
Theproblem with going anywhere with Bokuto was that he was too adorable. It was unfair, the way Daichi wanted to hold his hand, to draw himinto the nearest corner and kiss him silly, to take him home where hecould have him all to himself.
Theywere at the pumpkin patch, and the urge to take Bokuto home wasstronger than ever. But he had promised Bokuto they wouldn’tcome home until they had the biggest pumpkins they could carry, andby god, he was going to stick by that promise.
Ittook hours, hours of the most wonderful torture Daichi could thinkof. But the look on Bokuto’sface when they found the biggest pumpkin in the patch was more thanworth it.
“Lookat it, Daichi,” he cried, bouncing on the balls of his feet like alittle kid. “It’s perfect!”
“It’sbigger than your fat head,” Daichi said, laughing when Bokuto justnodded wildly. “I don’t think either of us can carry it.”
“Excuseyou, I’m very strong,” Bokuto sniffed. Daichi laughed, holdinghis hands up in front of him.
“Allright, strong man, let’s see what you’re made of,” he said.Bokuto sauntered over to the pumpkin, exuding swagger and confidence. He bent down and wrapped his arms around it and heaved. Then heavedagain. Then again. Then he looked up at Daichi sheepishly.
“Imay need your help after all,” he said. Daichi laughed.
“I’llgo get a wheelbarrow,” he said. “You stay here and guard thepumpkin.”
“Ayeaye!” Bokuto said, and once again Daichi got the urge to kiss hisstupid, perfect face. He turned on his heel and marched off before hecould do something stupid.

Hello! If you're still doing the 3 sentence ask Soulmate AU + Kurodai please
Daichi’s hands are on Kuroo’s, as they’re huddled close after the practice matches they had just played, the latter looking at the initials -his initials, in his own handwriting, on the palm of it with wonder and a small contented smile on his face as he traces them softly, over and over, while Daichi marvels at the profile of his soulmate –the sharp angle of his jaw, the curvature of his thin lips, the straight reality of his nose, the long lashes that touch across high cheekbones, soft and sweet like a kiss- all his.
Daichi couldn’t help the overwhelming feeling, he’s not usually so bold, but he leans forward all the same and plants a kiss on Kuroo’s cheek, because really he couldn’t help himself, Kuroo’s there, he’s here with Daichi and he’s beyond happy that the word isn’t enough to describe how he’s feeling at the moment, now that he’s with his soulmate.
Kuroo looks at him in surprise but there’s a flush on his cheeks, red, red, red on the apples, so adorable like he’s not used to boldness like this but accepts it all the same as a giddy smile breaks out of his face, “You’re so sneaky, Sawamura.”
Thank you for sending one in, my dear @thatishogwash! :*

Any super angsty kurodai fic recommendations?
Hello anon! In the interest of full disclosure, please know that I’m not exactly a huge fan of angst? I mean, I will read it and have written a fair share of it, but I don’t specifically seek them out/write them, unless I’m feeling sad and need to cope about something. Yeah. (btw is this why you’re looking for angsty recs, because you can talk to me too, if you like, i’ll try my best…)
Anyway, I wasn’t sure how you define ‘super angsty’ or how angsty you want them to be, so I included those that have affected me or helped me get through tough times or those that simply just made me cry, in the hopes that they get to you too.
So, in no particular order:

And last, I promise, Soft+AsaDai
Thank you so much @thatishogwash for all your requests. I hope you don’t mind me starting with your actual last one, instead of the first one. ;)
Daichi hadn’t meantto stay and watch.
His mother just askedhim to drop off the snacks and drinks she prepared for Harumi and her friendsand like the dutiful son and helpful eldest, he followed.
“Harumi?” He says, balancing the tray on one hand as he gently knocks on the door of her room.“Your snacks are here.”
“You can come in,Onii-chan!”
He opens the door andDaichi sees her and her friends, lying on their stomachs on the plush circularcarpet, focused on the video they are watching on their dad’s old laptop.
“Where should I putthis?” Noting the absence of the low, foldable table.
“Beside you,Onii-chan,” Harumi replies distractedly, eyes not leaving the screen and Daichishakes his head in amusement before looking down beside him to find the tablehe’s looking for there. He places the tray on the table and starts to leave, but curiosity got the better of him. Instead of walking out the door, he stepsinto the room.
“What are you watching?”He squats down behind his sister to get a closer look.
Harumi turns her headto look up to her brother. “Braiding tutorials, onii-chan.” As soon as she saysthis Daichi sees a long, sleek wig on the screen being deftly styled inintricate braids and twists. He raises an eyebrow at the effort, but strangelyenough, understands the appeal of it. It is kind of riveting.
“Uhm,” Harumi’shesitant tone cause him to look at her. “Thank you for bringing the snacks,Dai-nii.” She raises her eyebrows meaningfully. She’s politely telling him toleave them alone, which he does, but not before patting her once on the head.
Since then, Harumihas taken to styling her hair in different braids. Most of them are simpleenough to be done alone, but there had been instances where she came homesporting a different braid style, which could have been done with the help ofher friends.
It isn’t a few dayslater, while he’s mindlessly scrolling through his phone taking a break fromstudying when he looks up videos of hair braiding tutorials, and inevitablyspend hours instead of the initial 15 minutes he set up for himself. Not thathe completely minds though. There’s something…cathartic and very educationalabout the videos. Besides, you’ll never know when learning a skill fromobservation could come in handy.
However, no matterhow many videos Daichi watch and no matter how much time he spends watchingthem, he can never determine if he can actually do it until he tries it out on a willing model. He knows he can ask Harumi if he could braid her hair for her,but he’s not sure if he’s ready to let her know that just yet.
It’s when they’re inthe locker room, changing clothes after a rigorous practice that involved apractice match with the Neighborhood Association that he realized that there is someone he could practice his newlyacquired skill on.
Daichi mentallyslapped his forehead at his stupidity as he watches Asahi’s towel his hair, ridding it of sweat, and lets it stay down to dry it out.
He doesn’t realizethat he has been staring for quite some time until Noya obviously and none toogently elbowed Asahi on the side.
Asahi grunts. “Nishinoya,what the-”
“You’re in trouble,Asahi-san! Daichi-san’s been staring at you!” He says, far too excited forsomeone delivering such a news.
Expectedly, Asahiflinches and hunches his shoulders, slowly looking over his shoulder to findthat Daichi indeed is staring at him.
“W-what did I do,D-Daichi?” He played quite well, if he says so himself. He’d actually beenpraised by Ukai-san regarding a hard spike that won them the first round.Takeda-sensei complimented him, about how he feels that Asahi seems surer ofhimself and his plays and that he has ‘steady footing despite the continuouschange in the rhythm’, whatever that really means.
Daichi doesn’t reallymean anything by it, and he doesn’t think that he’s making a mean face, butsince he finds delight in teasing his friend, he just continues to look back athim quietly, appearing nonplussed at being caught.
Asahi gulps. “Uhmm,Suga… help?” He glances at their other friend.
Suga just shuts hislocker door with a loud bang.
“Nope, sorry. You’reon your own, buddy. Gotta go. Got an errand to run.” Grabbing his bag from thefloor, he leaves quickly after giving Asahi a bright smile, and slapping hisshoulders on his way out. He probably meant that one as good luck, but thestrength of it tells Asahi otherwise.
“Relax,” Daichifinally says, slapping him on the other shoulder, just as roughly as Suga did. “Iwas just messing with you.”
Asahi eyes himwarily, but finally relaxes his shoulders as he’s told. “I have a need for youthough, so stay.”
“W-what?” Asahisputters from under the shirt he’s putting on and looks at Daichi, alarmed, once he’s got his head free. “Why?”
Daichi snorts. “Stopworrying, you wimp. You make it sound like I’m going to kill you and throw yourbody on the cliff.”
“Daichi!”
“I just want to trysomething, alright? But you don’t want the others to be around for it.” Helooks behind them and meets the eyes of their curious underclassmen. Theyreceived the unspoken order clearly and promptly trickled out of the room, leaving Daichi and Asahi alone.
Satisfied that no oneis outside, eavesdropping, Daichi looks back at Asahi with a smirk and says, “So,have you tried braiding your hair before?”
Asahi blinks at himfor a few beats before answering with a hesitant “…No.”
“Great! Now sit downand let me do it for you!”
And so Asahi findshimself sitting crossed-leg on the floor, Daichi behind him and carefullytugging on his long hair, doing god knows what. He must admit that this is notwhat he’s expecting when Daichi asked him to stay. He thought it’s related tovolleyball, or even something unrelated but completely serious.
Although… it feelsnice. Daichi’s fingers running across his scalp as he gather’s hair here andthere, feels like a massage and it’s actually really good.
“How do you keep yourhair soft?” Daichi asks, disturbing the quietness they found themselves in. He’sbeen friends with Asahi for a long time, but this is virtually the first timehe’s ever played with his hair. He doesn’t know that Asahi actually puts careto maintain it.
“Ah, Shimizurecommended a good conditioner. Because even though she suggested I change myhairstyle, it being tied up all the time can still damage it.” He touches hishair self-consciously. “I didn’t think it’s anything special, but thanks, Iguess.”
Daichi only hums. “There,done.”
Asahi frowns andgingerly touch his hair to feel what has been done to it, but a mirror shows upin front of him in an instant. He turns his head and sees that Daichi’s madehim a crown braid. There are a lot of questions he wants to ask Daichi. Mostly, why and what was he thinking, but he settles on “How did you learn to do this?”
He sees Daichi shrugfrom behind him in the mirror. “I watched videos. Did you like it?”
Asahi blinks at thequestion and studies himself at mirror again. Oddly enough, it looks nice. Hewonders how long this hairstyle can hold if he actually wears it like thisduring practice.
“Yes. I like it.”
Daichi grins at him. “Good. And since you did, that means you’ll be helping me out tomorrow again.”

Second one, message with UshiMon (you got me involved with this ship lol)
@thatishogwash thank you so much for indulging me and I’m so happy I got you involved in this ship.
Moniwa stands inattention upon hearing the bell tinkle, signaling someone entering the breadshop. “One moment,” he says, putting down the hot tray of freshly baked breadon the table and hastily takes off his mittens and walks out to the front ofthe shop to entertain the customer.
“What can I-” hestops short, recognizing Prince Wakatoshi’s aloof advisor and friend.“Semi-san?”
Semi tips his headforward. “Good day, Captain Moniwa. I am happy to see you are well.” There’s ahint of a genuine smile on his face.
Moniwa blinks thenshakes his head. “Uh, good day to you too. And, I am happy to see you are welltoo.” He brushes his hands off on his apron, consciously stopping himself fromfidgeting. He didn’t think he’d hear being called ‘captain’ again, much lessvisited by someone from the palace. And yet, here they are.
It sends a wave ofanxiety in his nerves. “Uhm, but what brings you here?”
Semi pulls somethingfrom his coat pocket-a letter, and promptly hands it over to Moniwa. “ThePrince asked me to give you this.”
Moniwa inhales asharp breath. Gaze dropping to Semi’s outstretched hand, he eyes the familiar purplewax seal with a stamp of an eagle with wary. Realizing that it’s rude to Semito keep him like that, Moniwa steps forward and hesitantly takes the letter. Hegingerly takes it, afraid that it might burn him or start to have a life of itsown and monstrously disclose the message within its envelope. He exhales whenit does neither.
Moniwa wets his lipsand swallows his nervousness. “Thank you for your trouble, Semi-san.” He meetsSemi’s eyes and notes the kind look the advisor is giving him.
“It’s no trouble,Captain.”
Moniwa huffs softly, slipping the letter into the front pocket of his apron. “You don’t need to callme that anymore.”
Semi smiles. “Youwere honorably dismissed. I can still call you that.”
Moniwa purses hislips, and just nods.
“Your charges missyou.” Semi says to break the awkward silence. Moniwa smiles genuinely at him, fondly remembering the soldiers he had the honor of training to be part of theranks of the Iron Wall, the title given to the royal guard.
“They’re not beingunruly, are they?”
“That’s up fordebate,” Semi chuckles lightly, earning a slight horrified look from Moniwa.“But they have matured and have taken to their new posts with dignity andloyalty. Which we all know they owe to you.”
Moniwa shakes hishead. “They don’t. They’re better.” Stronger, smarter. Newbies but less inclined to make juvenile mistakes. More fit to becalled a guard, a soldier than a baker’s son, his mind whisperstraitorously and he shakes his head again to dispel his thoughts. “Anyway, that’s a relief to hear,” he smiles, but he also effectively sends them intoanother awkward silence.
This hadn’t been aproblem before. Moniwa can easily talk to the Prince’s advisors and friends, and they’re mostly eager to include him in conversations. But that was then, when Moniwa is the captain of the Iron Wall, when he was privy to the affairsof the crown because of his role as the Prince’s guard; when they have a sharedgoal of keeping Prince Wakatoshi safe and up to his duties as the next ruler.
Now though, the easycamaraderie is replaced by guilt and burning shame, especially on Moniwa’a part.
“We don’t blame you,you know,” Semi says, understanding, as if he knows where Moniwa’s incriminatingthoughts are taking him.
Moniwa stands still, biting down on his lips. He’s not ready to have this conversation right now. He’s not ready to have this conversation, period. So he doesn’t say anything, not minding if it’s rude or not.
Luckily, Semi doesn’tpush him and just gives him a knowing look. “Well,” he huffs. “I best be on myway. It’s really nice to see you again, Captain.” He tips his head and turns toleave.
The bell wakes Moniwafrom his stupor and snaps in attention when he sees Semi walking back to thegeneral direction of the palace from the shop’s window. Moniwa hastily makeshis way to the back and wraps two pieces of the freshly baked loaves and rushesafter Semi.
“Semi-san, wait!”
Semi startles, almostmisses his step, but turns around all the same. He instinctively accepts theproffered package, the long loaves sticking out of its paper bag, tickling hisnose with its delicious, warm smell.
“For your trouble,”Moniwa says, then looks down. “I’m sorry.”
“You didn’t have to.”
Moniwa shakes hishead and looks at him then, resolved. “How is he?”
Semi blinks at thequestion then smiles kindly at Moniwa, but his eyes have a note of teasing inthem.
“I’ll leave that toyou to find out.”
—–
Moniwa put offreading the letter the whole day, but left it in the pocket of his apron, thinking that if he’s busy enough, he might forget that it’s even there. Butsuch isn’t the case, not when it feels like he’s got a lead in his heart, weighing him down, and his mind is running through different possibilities ofwhat message it might contain.
He’d had an impromptustaring contest with it that night, before turning to bed. Stared down at it sohard, willed it to disappear into thin air so he can just forget about thewhole thing and chalk it up as a bizarre dream, but the letter inevitably won, leaving Moniwa with no other choice but to read it.
It hadn’t been a longmessage. Just a simple sentence, written in the Prince’s neat cursivehandwriting on a vellum board, signed with his official seal. Moniwa read itover and held it carefully, even though his hands are trembling.
Such isn’t the casenow that he’s clutching it in his sweaty hand, as he arrives at the clearing. The thick branches of the trees in the forest shaded him from the sun’s bright,mid-morning rays. Right now, it’s helping him stay hidden, as he wills hisbeating heart and rapid breathing, as he gathers his courage to face PrinceWakatoshi again.
Without theprotection of the trees, the sun is doing its best job of bathing the Prince inwarm light, creating a halo of light around his body-a vision any painter inthe kingdom would cry over for not being able to immortalize in a painting. Thecalmness and brightness, too beautiful to disturb makes Moniwa hesitant to stepinto the light and bask in the sun’s rays and Prince’s presence.
But there’s no pointin hiding, and he’d want this over with for both their sakes. With a deepbreathe, Moniwa steps into the clearing.
Yuuta, the Prince’sGreat Pyrenees barks at the noise, alerting Ushijima of Moniwa’s arrival.
Ushijima turns hishead to the direction from whence it came from, and Moniwa’s step falters astheir eyes meet, each taking in the sight of the other.
Yuuta breaks the momentwhen he excitedly bounds off to Moniwa and nudges his nose on his leg, effectivelytoppling Moniwa down in surprise. The dog’s instantly on top of him, licking athis face affectionately, tail brushing over his legs, wagging in happiness.
Moniwa forgets hisnervousness, laughing at the tickling sensation and affection the dog isshowing him. “Yuuta! It’s so good to see you.” He scratches along the side ofYuuta’s head, much to the dog’s delight.
“Easy, boy.” Yuuta obeysthe command and lets up, but not before giving Moniwa one last lick and standsproudly beside its master.
Moniwa looks up at Ushijima, down to the hand he’s offering which he takes without hesitating.
“Thank you, YourHighness,” he says as he’s pulled up, dusting the back of his pants.
“Kaname,” his namefrom the Prince’s lips sends a rush of emotions. “You came,” Ushijima’s tone, while low, hints of relief. The look he’s giving Moniwa is that of pleasantsurprise and affection.
Moniwa shrugsself-consciously. “It’s an official summon,” he waves the crumpled letterbeside him, the excuse rolling off his tongue easily, having convinced that he can’trefuse and that’s the only reason why he came in the first place.
Ushijima’s brow dipslightly. “I debated whether or not to send it as such. I would not have, but Icould not risk you not coming.”
Moniwa nods, onlythen becoming aware of how they are still holding hands and their closeproximity. He flushes and takes his hand back.
Ushijima frownsdeeper at the action, but only shakes his head, tampering down hisdisappointment. “Would you like to join us?” He motions to the blanket spreadout by the large rock jutting out in the middle of the clearing.
Moniwa hesitates, andit showed, prompting Ushijima to add a soft “Please, Kaname?” while Yuuta, asif sensing his master’s predicament, whimpered softly beside him.
And Moniwa, being alreadyweak to sad, puppy eyes, much less two of them, couldn’t find it in his heartto deny them. “Of course, Your Highness.”
Moniwa follows thePrince and they settle down on the blanket, Yuuta smartly flopping down betweenthem, tail wagging happily. They both have the idea of petting him and theirhands accidentally brush against each other. Moniwa jerks pulling his handaway, again. But this time, Ushijima doesn’t let him.
“Your Highness-”
“Why did you leave?” ThePrince, no matter his upbringing and Semi’s lessons about being delicate whenbroaching sensitive topics, is one to go straight to crux of the matter.
Moniwa feelssomething lodge in his throat and blinks the beginning pinpricks behind hiseyes away. “I had to. I’m… I’m not fit to serve you. I failed you during thetime you most needed protection.”
“You know that is nottrue. And no one is blaming you for what happened.”
Moniwa shakes hishead. “That’s not the point.” Whether they blame him or not is not whatmatters. The kingdom almost lost its Prince and the Queen Regnant almost losther heir and her son. The royal and noble families almost lost a beloved cousinand friend because of Moniwa’s incompetence. But even if they could forgivehim, Moniwa cannot forgive himself.
Not when there’s a stabwound in Prince Wakatoshi’s body that wouldn’t have been there if he had been agood guard. That scarred wound would always remind Moniwa that because of him,he almost lost the person he loves.
“I failed you as yourguard.” Moniwa’s shoulders sag at the admission, a tidal wave of shame comescrashing.
Ushijima’s handsqueeze down on his. “You did not fail me. Kaname,” he tugs on the hand to makeMoniwa look at him. “Please, look at me.”
When Moniwa doesn’t,Ushijima reaches out and cups a cheek in his palm, gently guiding his face tolook at him. “I got hurt because of my own fault. I was not careful enough.”
“You shouldn’t have! It’s my duty to protect you, not theother way around!”
Ushijima keeps calmand Moniwa still, despite the latter’s outburst. “I did what I did for you,Kaname and I do not regret it.” He says, eyes boring seriously at Moniwa’s. “Andit is true that it may have been your duty as my guard to protect me, but Ionly did my duty to myself to protect the person I care for the most.”
Moniwa’s breathehitches, tears streaming down his face. He’s been aware of his deepeningfeelings for the Prince, not just of loyalty, but romantic affection. But hedid not dare entertain the idea of it coming to fruition, not with the disparityof their standing.
Especially not whenPrince Wakatoshi had been adamant then to travel to another kingdom, where newsof a beautiful prince needing True Love’s kiss to awaken him from a spell hadset off the two of them to a journey. The very same one that got them ambushedon the way home.
This is too good tobe true. “You can’t mean that.”
Ushijima sighs. “Isuppose I cannot blame you for not believing me. But, I had time to reflectwhile recovering, and I have understood why the kiss did not worked. And it isnot only because the prince loves another, but because I am holding affectionfor someone else.”
It had taken a horrificvision of Moniwa being overpowered by a large rogue; the terrifying thought oflosing him that awakened something like anger and despair in him, and stab inthe gut and fight for his life for Ushijima to realize this.
He rubs the pad ofhis thumb tenderly across Moniwa’s cheek, wiping his tears. “Forgive me forbeing a fool and not realizing it sooner, Kaname. Forgive me for making you waitand go through that.” Ushijima leans closer, resting his head against Moniwa’sforehead. “But I intend to make it up to you, if you will let me.”
Moniwa sobs, themixed feelings of guilt, shame, disbelief, hope, happiness, and love all gushesout in the form of tears. And while this is not how he imagined things wouldgo, he would be a fool to keep denying himself of this. That, and there’s noway he can deny his Prince. He nods and they share tearful first kiss.
Yuuta, looking up atthem, barks delightfully.

The Rules: Post the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous.

For the fanfic writer asks; 1. 5. 19. 20. 29. 30. 38. 41. 48. 50 and for shits and giggles 47 with 'Call to the Past' ;)
Oh wow! Lots to answer for this one, thanks Bgee!1. How old were you when you first started writing fanfiction?I only started a year ago, so I was 31, though I’ve written stories off and on all my life.5. If you had to choose a favorite out of all your multi chaptered stories, which would it be and why?Kuroo Tetsurou and His Merry Band of Cats, no contest. I loved the story, the way I wrote my characters, the relationship between Daichi and Kuroo. It was romantic and had good action in it, betrayal, heartfelt reunions, family, friendship… okay now I’m crying. Even though the question didn’t ask for it, my second fav is Across Time and Space and then There’s no Separating You From Me.19. Are there any stories that you’ve written that you’d really love to do a sequel to?I do have several sequels planned, like for my soulmate fic “I love you… Nice to meet you” where I pair Suga x Ushijima, Kenma x Yamamoto, and Asahi x Yukie… but I’m not sure when, and they probably won’t be as long as the first one. I’ve thought about doing one short one-shot for Across Time and Space, but very specific with Tsukishima x Tanaka since I didn’t really get a chance to show the pairing in the fic itself.20. Are there any stories that you wished you’d ended differently?Oh wow… not really? The only one I can think of is As The Crow Sails, I always felt the ending was weak, but that was mainly because I wanted to move on to the spin-offs where I give more minor characters their fun, ha ha ha. So if you read it, don’t consider the ending the ending, just go straight into the sequels.29. Do you have a story that you feel doesn’t get as much love as you’d like? Ha ha, all my older ones, but definitely mainly Kuroo Tetsurou and His Merry Band of Cats. I get super excited when people like that one and talk to me about it.30. In contrast to 29, is there a story which gets lots of love which you kinda eye roll at?Not really, because if people love any of my writing I get excited about it. If I had to pick one it’s “A Blossom From Ashes”, because it was my least favorite one and I get antsy when ppl want me to continue it or do more like it.38. If you could collab with any other writer on here, who would it be? (Perhaps this question will inspire some collabs!) If you’re shy, don’t tag the blog, just name it.Oooh, well I have two that immediately come to mind. I would say @kythen, for smut and domestic stuff, ha ha ha, and @thatishogwash because AU’s!!!! Especially fantasy. Oh jeeze, speaking of domestic, @spring-emerald as well. I have so many writers I adore and respect it’s tough, lol.41. What’s your favorite minor character you’ve written?I think Semi Eita, he was a surprise that I found I really enjoyed writing, which is why I featured him in several fics after using him as a minor character.47. Here’s a fic title- “Call to the past”What would this story be about?Ha ha ha, oh gosh. This is off the top of my head, but I would do a kurodai (naturally) where it takes place like ten years later into their established relationship. Kuroo finds an old cell phone of his where he had an old number. He calls it to see if it still works, but instead of it ringing, his old self picks up on his own cell phone. He then tries to coach his old self into fixing stupid mistakes he made with Daichi to improve their relationship more… but time has a way of reworking things so nothing changes at all, ha ha ha.48. What’s your favorite trope to write? They were roommates!! Especially if somehow they end up sharing a bed. Always a classic filled with humor and sexual tension50.
