hi hi i love your blog and i have recently gotten into cars and i really wanna know ALL cars lol, but uh i don't know where to start? can you lend a lil guy a lil hand please? thank you!

Well, knowing ALL cars, as I touched on and shown again and again and again, is a sisyphean task, but I understand that's hyperbole. As far as knowing cars goes, if you really are curious it will just come naturally: the cool thing about cars is they are all around you! So if your experience is anything like mine, you'll just look around until you notice a car you don't know at all, find out what it is (depending on your attitude by sheepishly taking a picture to come ask me to ID it or by shamelessly sprinting towards it to poke around a random car with suspicious enthusiasm) and perhaps look it up then to know just what you're dealing with. At some point, you will know enough to be able to make guesses about the era and sometimes even the brand of what you don't know, making it easier to find them out, and your knowledge will make the newfound piece slot in a more complete puzzle (by knowing some context around the new car).

That and, of course, you'll find sources of information about cars and engage with them because they talk about things that interest and captivate you! I've personally learned a lot from magazines, which have kept me up to speed on new cars as they were coming out -the images of the Juke-R in this post come from the Top Gear Magazine article I learned of it from!- and shows like Top Gear Show (or just Top Gear for friends), which showed me everything from classics like the Hilux to (then) new cars like the Audi RS6 and everything in between like the Caterham Seven -all cars in my wishlist thanks to them!- but now that times are a-changin' a lot of young folks like you are going to get this information from The Internets, whether through online publications like The Autopian (site friend of the blog Jason Torchinsky left other cool site Jalopnik to co-found) or Speedhunters (home of car reportages of indescribable breadth, depth and beauty), or YouTube channels like Doug DeMuro (car reviewer who, despite always being accessible, goes over every last little quirk - if its glovebox handle is in any way unusual you WILL know) or Regular Car Reviews (equally interesting channel much more focused on cars' place and impact in culture and... shall we say peculiar humor) and to a much lesser extent lone madmen posting random stuff on social media, like,,,, uh,,,, wait, lone madmen posting random stuff on social media, I'm sure I knew one such person..... oh right!, Drew Wilson (who posts a worrying amount and variety of incredible used cars for sale on No One Is Calling It X).

But none of those would I call the best way to learn about a car: that'll go to seeing it in person at an event! Of course, you'll be limited by the car selection, which depends on the event's size and location, but any car show, even the ones low on actually interesting cars, is guaranteed to have a bunch of people very enthusiastic about theirs who would LOVE to talk your ear off about it and even show you around!

So I highly encourage you to look for car shows near you and head wherever they may be with a camera and an open mind! Of course, what large events will be near you will depend on where you are, but US-wise, apparently Cars and Coffes are pretty ubiquitous, and if you're lucky enough to be near the right places I cannot begin to recommend Radwood enough. Of course, there are also cool exhibits like friend of the blog Lane Motor Museum, so be on the lookout for those! (if any European wants a list of cool car places or events just submit a post asking!)

A/N: Wow, I had this idea for the longest time, and somebody actually read my mind! I def wanna make this into a bigger thing, but for right now I’m just easing myself back into writing since I had a real bad writer’s block. Maybe with some time, I’ll be able to develop this into something more!

First and foremost I think that Miles would want to think you’re cool as hell, but given what he knows about Felicia Hardy and subsequently Peter and her’s relationship, homeboy is trying NOT to have history repeat itself with you. Because no matter how cool your outfit is or the fact that you pack a mean punch, you’re bad news and he needs to keep you at arms length. But when he gets to know you, that obviously becomes harder and harder the more the two of you cross paths.

I like to think that you guys meet in school first. You’re a new student this semester, placed right in Miles’ homeroom. You weren’t hard to notice with your striking white hair, always had earbuds in your ears, and could be caught humming tunes throughout the day. You become friends due to your shared love for music and art, and when you start using the same excuses he’d use for his friends and family about why you couldn’t hang out as often anymore, he’s too blindsided by your friendship (and the teeny tiny crush he’s developed) to question it

Though when the two of you meet mask to mask, however, it’s a different story. You play this elusive and secretive role so good as much as he considers you a rival, Miles also finds himself admiring the way that you’re so graceful with your getaways, and the fact that you are always teasing him doesn’t help either.

You laid it on thick, but after a while of swinging around the city trying to catch you, he’d gotten used to your flirting and the jabs you’d take at him, even throwing back a few of his own. He’s a smooth kid, learned the game from his uncle of course, and just as hot as you’d get him under the mask, you found yourself trying to keep down the heat rising to your ears whenever he came back with something clever and sweet. It was a sweet cat and mouse game the two of you played - even though technically one of you wasn’t a mouse.

The jig is up, however, when a bigger threat the city is posed and you’re caught in the middle of it and are badly injured when trying to fight it off. Miles is quick to rescue you, but the pride he feels from saving the elusive Black Cat is short-lived when he realizes that the face of the vigilante behind the half torn mask is none other than someone he considers one of  his best friends.

It gets awkward after that, and you’re quick to catch on as to why, because you, having deduced who the black and red-clad secondary Spiderman of New York truly was, knew how this would go if a conversation wasn’t had. And you tell him straight up that this life isn’t a game to you; you’ve been brought up in it and know the dangers and the risks, so he can’t talk you out of it. And if it was a deal breaker to your friendship, then, even though it would hurt like hell, you would have no problem in cutting Miles off.

And just like that, what Miles feared had come true - it was the same story with Peter and Felicia all over again - and yet, he still made an effort to try and see things from your perspective, to make it to where history didn’t HAVE to repeat itself, knowing that any feelings he’d have for you were no good in his line of work.

You know it too, though. Whatever budding feelings that were happening between the two of you couldn’t come to fruition, because Miles was a superhero for the people, and you were just a street cat looking out for yourself. There was a stark difference in the way each of you looked over your shoulders for constant threats to your existences, yours debatably being worse than Miles’ and you couldn’t drag him down with you.

But there still was this string that kept the two of you together. Perhaps it was the fact that you still had classes together in school. Perhaps it was the fact that you lived right next to each other and it was impossible to avoid one another throughout the day. Or perhaps it was the fact that, despite being two completely different people in two completely different lives, with and without the mask, you both still wanted to make it work; whatever would be between the two of you.

Even though you butt heads like water to a flame, Miles protected you with all his might, and you helped him in the hardest of cases with any intel you could gather. No, you couldn’t be together, but you’d still look out for each other; there was no avoiding that. You were his Black Cat, after all. And he was your Little Spider

Firstly I want to state that this ask is going to be long rant dear wishful-soda but I feel like your blog is such a nice and safe space for this type of renting, especially for us daniel girlies❤ So here I go...😅

For us Daniel girlies this season has been so difficult😭Daniel might not be performing very well this year-and I'm sure every fan is aware of this- but he doesn't deserve this treatmeant either. He has been basically through hell this year and there are people saying that he deserves this and also criticize us fans that we are going over the top to defend him. Like is this people are real?? Do they read the same things as we do?? Of course we might be little biased sometimes because because he is our favorite driver but I genuinely think that these people are just horrible. He has been slandered and dragged through entire media. I feel so sad for him because when things like this happen in any type of sport, people forget the past achievements and the talent of the said person. Honestly, I am on the fucking verge of a mental breakdown because of this news that are coming out everyday. Then I think if I am like this I CAN NOT imagine how this situation is like for Daniel.

That joke of a man named Zak Brown is doing everything in his power to push Daniel out of his seat while Lando gets royalty treatment from him. Please don't get me wrong on this sentence. I don't hate Lando, on the contrary I like him very much and I think he is a very talented driver but I'm just using it to make a comparison how badly Zak treats Daniel.

Not only he treats Daniel very poorly, he is giving Mclaren a very hard time. This is is very old and respectable one and now it is nothing but a mess and needs to do a very serious PR damage control and I say this as a person who studied Business Administartion.

This PR suicide leads me to think from a company-point as well. In this day of age, PR and Marketing is everything and after all Mclaren Racing is a company under The Mclaren Group and it has it's owners and board members. My mind is LITERALLY BLOWN AWAY that how are this people allowing him offering a seat that is already taken to a lot of people?! It is beyond unprofessional. He makes them look very bad. It doesn't matter that he is the CEO unless he owns 51% of that company(which I don't have the knowledege of), he will do what the board members tells him to do-for this type of big decisions. At this point, I think that he keeps it up like this, the only person that is going to be replaced will be him because he is getting a lot of criticism and hate at the moment because the team is like a circus right now.

Okay my rent is done dear wishful-soda😅 And I will be going back to my corner, thinking about how nice it would be that Cyril to return to F1 and reunited with his baby boy Daniel and save him from this horrible situation ❤️‍🩹 #cyrilwouldnever #cyrilabiteboulsupremacy💯

Hi baybes! You are absolutely right, this is a safe space for ranting.

You are totally right. This has been a tough season for Daniel. And somehow having a tough first half of a season, erases all the good he's done in the past in some people's eyes. It's incredibly illogical, but that's exactly how he's being treated now. As if he's never done anything worth shit in his career when he's actually done quite a bit and is a fucking damn good driver.

Meanwhile, we're hearing how legendary and amazing Lando is. I'm not saying he's not a good driver, but to simply compare the two, Lando just doesn't have better results except for this first half of the season. So the narrative is stemming from somewhere, it all comes from somewhere and I think it's 10000% from the toxicity of McLaren. Right in line with the PR nightmare you mentioned. They are not showing that they value Daniel and think he's worth working with. They're not showing that they know he's a killer driver but is just struggling with the fucking tractor beast of a car they've given him this year.

I would fucking LOVE to see Zak get replaced as CEO. As an American, I don't love the picture he paints of us. He fulfills a lot of shit stereotypes. He's also just a garbage human in general so there's that too. I will legit throw a party if they replace him, regardless if Daniel is on the team or not, I just want to see him GONE.

I will writer here as my diary so don't be suprise if you se some privet stuff or whatevs.

So today ws a good day, at least that's What I Think. I did great at a P-E, I was very impressed with my chemistry class become deaaam that teacher was doing fire form some random chemicals! It was so cool that I had my eyes open wide when our teacher said how did she do that. I also have this four friends, you will need to know them if you want to understand what I am talking About sometimes. So there Is: Karo, Lauren, Monica,Lea. Karo is cool. I like her but I do not have the best relationship with her, Monica is a maniac, she always is acting like a stupid Lil girl. She loves to spend time with Lauren but sometimes I think that she is obsessed. Lauren - I have a good relationship with her. She is lazy but she is cool and funny. I like that she don't care about stupid thinks. Lea - and yeess this is a complicated one. One time Lea and I were not best friends not like sisters but we were just close. I always had her as someone I would be looking up to. Right know. I think that she is a manipulative bitvh. I know that maybe baybe you don't care but just so you know I am telling these things. So today I just learnt that You can trust people but just know that your trust can be failed. Right now I am trying to do better at my life with friends eating and mindfulness but it gets hard sometimes.

Hiiii so this is my first one-shot fanfic! Forewarning, everyone is aged up to adulthood, no underage-ness! Sorry, but I will say there is a MESS to this with snot and stuff…soooo yeah. Okay, so this is BakuDeku, so here we go!

Ring Ring-click

Deku hung up his phone, frowning at the device in his hand.

No answer. Bakugou was supposed to meet him for patrol 20 minutes ago, and Bakugou, if nothing else, is always on time. Their agencies decided to hunt the copycat hero killer together, as they were getting nowhere alone. Since school, they’ve been on better terms, meeting each other once a month for a get together. But Bakugou always had kept his distance, never letting deku close, nor explaining why.

Deku sighed, walking towards the alleyway he was waiting near, contemplating stopping by the agency to see if the fire head even came to work today.

“HA-KSHEEW!” Deku literally jumped from the sound behind him and quickly turned to the source, expecting some sort of villain or deranged citizen who tried to break his eardrums. What he wasn’t expecting was the sight of a sick, drippy pro hero with one gauntlet on, and the free arm being used as a snot rag.

“Kacchan!” Deku wasn’t sure if he should be happy or upset that Bakugou came to patrol sick. He must feel alright enough if hes walking around, right?

“*sniff* Ib sorry ib lade, won’t bake a habit of it.” Kacchan growled from behind his arm, trying to slow the mucus leakage. Deku’s eyebrows furrowed and he walked over to his partner.

“Kacchan, why are you here? Youre obviously-“

“Shud ub fugface, I dnow whad youre dinging, and I.AB.NOD.SI- HE-KSHEEW!” Deku winced at the violent sneeze bakugou let out, and the mess that followed behind his elbow. He searched in his pockets and took out a small tissue packet and opened it.

“Here kacchan.” He gently offered the packet, half expecting Bakugou to flip him off and walk away.

Bakugou looked down at the packet, then to deku, seemingly offended by the gesture. A tch could be heard from him before he snacked it from deku and turned his back to him to clean up his face. A gurgling honk could be heard as he nearly went through the whole package, trying to rid his sinuses of the cold he was obviously suffering from.

“…Kacchan? Maybe you should head home?” Deku tried gently, not wanting to cause Bakugou to blow up. Still, this was Bakugou. Bakugou spun around to face Deku, pissed off and storming towards Deku.

“BAYBE YOU SHOULD SHUD UB AND BIND YOUR OWN DABN BUS-“ Bakugou cut off, his breathing turning erratic, his head tilt up and his eyes holding a glazed look.

“heh-b-bind your own-heeh-dabn-HEH-KSHEEW!!*sniff* Disgusting…” He turned from Deku to spray at the side, a string of snot attached to the brick wall next to them before snapping off from his right nostril. Deku, instead of feeling disgusted, just frowned. A closer look at Bakugou, his skin was pale, rosy cheeks, nose chapped and red from rubbing, dark circles under his eyes, and his hair was messy like he just woke up.

“I’m serious Kacchan, I really think you should go home. You are obviously not well and you’re swaying. Do you have a fever?” Deku held his hand up to touch Bakugou’s hand before he slapped it away with a growl.

“Fug off Deku!”

“Kacchan, please go home. It isn’t safe for you to patrol in your condition. I’ll call Ida to assist me tonight, so don’t worry.” Deku put his foot down, willing to go against Bakugou’s temper for his own well being and safety.

“HAH! You ding Four-eyes can helb you better dan be?? FUG DAT IB FINE!” Bakugou growled, a used tissue pressed to his nose. Deku huffed, over Bakugou’s bitch fit.

“Kacchan, I won’t go patrolling with you in this condition. For once, stop being so stubborn and go home!”

“AND WHAD IF SOMBDING HABBENS TO YOU WHILE IB GONE??”

…..What?

Deku thought it was nearly impossible for Bakugou’s face to turn any redder as he tried to process what he just heard. However, that was enough time for a sneeze to sneak up on Bakugou and gave him no time turn completely to the side.

“HER-KSHEEEW!” He sprayed to Deku’s side, catching his ear and parts of his hair in the mess. Deku jumped up from the volume of the sneeze, then realized he was caught in the blast zone.

“..Sorry.” Bakugou muttered, eyes to the ground as he tried to clean up his mess with another used tissue. He honestly looked ashamed to have sneezed on Deku, but Deku had other things on his mind.

“Kacchan….are you worried about me?” Deku felt abit of fondness in his chest at the thought that Bakugou cared for him. And maybe a bit of warmth from his heart that Bakugou was concerned.

So I like Kacchan. Sue me.

He’d come to understand his feelings ever since their third year, after a game of spin the bottle. Everyone else found it funny they were chosen to kiss, but for Deku-

“Heh- HEH-KSHEEW! DABN IT!” Kacchan cursed lowly, running out of tissues. He snorted some snot back up and glared at Deku, daring him to say anything.

“SO WHAD?! I CAND CARE FOR BY FRIEND??” Okay, Bakugou was definitely running a fever. He called him his FRIEND.

“Kacchan…” Deku felt near tears, to think Bakugou would care for him enough to come to patrol so sick and ill equipped for his nose.

“Shud ub Deku.” Bakugou sighed, seemingly exhausted.

“Adyway, dere is a cobycad hero killer oud dere and I wond led you search for hib widout be.” Bakugou made a small coughing noise at the end, giving Deku time to think.

“….Alright.” Deku took his phone out and dialed some numbers. Bakugou was watching with interest and worry.

“Who are you calling? I told you Ib not ledding you padrol withoud be!” Bakugou used his gauntlet hand to grab Deku’s wrist, holding onto it like a life line. Shocked, Deku met eyes with Bakugou, seeing the concern behind his fever glazed eyes.

“…Don’t worry kacchan, I’m just texting Uraraka and Todoroki to take over for tonight.” Deku said calmly, holding back a smile. Bakugou obviously wasn’t in the mood to be teased.

That seemed to do the trick as Deku leaped out of the way in time for Bakugou to explode forward, his spray turning into small explosions and leaving burn marks on the wall.

Deku stared in shock as Bakugou caught his breath, panting as he leaned forward.

“Shud…Ub…Deku.” Bakugou spoke between pants as he nearly fell forward, but caught by Deku and positioned to lean on him.
