I went to a talk about urban planning from an elderly people perspective and there was one thing that stuck with me that changed my view of people
The speaker was talking about how old folk can't and shouldn't be put into one singular group of people because it's impossible to find any two old people who can be categorized into the same basket because of how much life they've been through and how many branches apart they are from each other. Like, grouping them all as *old* is a disservice to them and who they consider themselves to be and to plan a city properly for old folk that has to be taken into consideration
It just struck me how the longer you live the more the infinity of differences, choices and circumstances, grows bigger and bigger and while younger people can still be grouped into different categories more easily, it's only because their short amount of memories and experiences hasn't pulled them apart to be considered so vastly different as our elders.
Being old is a lonely place to be because of it but there is something empowering about how unique you become from your specific experiences and how each and every old person you meet has so much essence in the set of years called their life, you'll never find someone like them again

Hi N/n!
Oh my gosh, it’s been so long since i’ve sent you a letter! I’m so sorry! The hotel has been sooooooooo busy! But don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about you, how could I? You’re all I think about!
I’m excited to tell you i’ve been decorating your room at the hotel! Of course, when you come here you can redecorate if you wish to! Whatever makes you the happiest sweetie! Or, you could even share my room!
I can’t wait to come get you, I really do think you’ll like it here. We’ve all worked so hard to make this place as welcoming as possible, and you’ll warm up to the other residents and staff after a little bit of time! They can be a bit much at the beginning, but don’t worry your pretty little head, I wouldn’t put you in danger. The hotel is super safe, especially now that my dad is helping too!
Please write back, at least once? You haven’t responded to any of my letters, and Razzle told me you kept throwing them out ☹. Unless you use your trash can as extra storage, I’m not sure why all my letters keep ending up there!
Nevertheless, I’ll retrieve all the letters when you move in, and we can look through them together and reminisce about our adorable beginnings.
Yours truly,
Charlie Morningstar!! ༘⋆-ˋˏ

Dear Y/n,
I understand that these letters started to freak you out, and that’s why I haven’t sent any in a while, but I felt like I needed to continue writing to you. It’s our only way of communication right now, so until you move into the hotel, this will have to do.
It’s hard to write down my feelings for you, I can’t ever seem to find the right words which must be why you didn’t understand that these are love letters. I’m not some creepy guy trying to kidnap you, I love you and want to finally bring you home as soon as possible.
Charlie is still working out the details of your stay, but she’ll be finished soon, I promise. Would you like your own room or to share mine? If you write back, we could discuss your personal preference towards the rooming situation?
You’ll get used to this, to us, soon enough. I have no ill intent towards you, I’m the only person in this shithole that actually cares about you and your safety. I can keep you safe, I can, I will.
I’ll see you soon, y/n.
Stay safe,
Vaggie

Salutations, Dearest!
Aren’t letters just marvellous? Texting and calling is merely a phase, the “old fashioned way” as sinners call it, is the only correct way. It shows effort, thought and has a charm to it that this technology nonsense lacks immensely.
You’ll be with me soon, and once you are we’ll get rid of all your electronic devices. Radio will be enough to keep you entertained, I assure you my dear. It would be such a treat if you tuned into one of my broadcasts, since you are the only viewer I wish to listen. You could listen to me, whilst I watch you, how splendid!
As much as this hazbin hotel is doomed to fail, I do believe it is a safe residency for us to stay at for the time being. Your current accommodation is far too lacking in the security department, from personal experience, I can confirm it is quite easy to get inside. Of course, I can get anywhere you are no matter what you or anyone else tries to do, but I didn’t even have to try! That’s no good, now is it?
Don’t fret, my dear. All will be well once you’re under my official protection and guidance. Nothing will get in our way, you have my word.
The radio demon,
A̰̠̼͚̗̫̳ͥ͐̆̃̄͑̊̈̕͝l̳̤̲͗͆ą̺̝̺͚̔̔̄ş̴̠͓̞̹̀͋ͯ̀ͣͫ_̧̩t̺͈ͩ̎͒͒ͅơ̵̢̧̫͇̦̫͇̟̰̯̞̝̻͇͍̯̩͕̌ͪ̀͋ͧ͗̏ͥͥ̇ͦͯ͗̀ͫ̏̽̈̚͡͞r

Hey, n/n!
You deleted all your socials, what gives?? You’re making me write letters now? I mean, i’m not against letters, they’re real romantic and shit, but dming you was so much easier babe. Was some fucker harassing you? I’ll torture the shit out of them, just give me a name toots.
Anyways, it’s not like it really matters, letters and texting, we’ll be SPEAKING in person pretty soon ;) I can’t wait to see that gorgeous face right in front of my (equally gorgeous) face. This face makes money baby, money that I can drown you in. Whatever you want, i’ve got you covered. Isn’t that exciting? Something to look forward to for you, besides living with me, which is a huge upgrade from your shitty house right now
Fat nuggets (our pet pig btw) can’t wait to meet you! He’s real cuddly, as am I, so don’t ever worry about feeling lonely with us here. Our room is filled with soft fluffy crap, all yours for the taking!
I’ll see you soon cutie,
Your Angel Dust 𓆩♡𓆪

To Y/n,
This is a fucking hassle, writing letters, you know that? You need to quit whining and come down to this shitty hotel before I come bring you here myself. It’s not so bad here, once you get used to it. And the people are fucking annoying, but they mean well. Unlike those dicks you hang around with, I don’t trust them, and trust me, I can spot a prick with my eyes closed.
I’ve rented you a room in the hotel, next door to mine. I paid with my own fucking money, which I earned at this stupid bar, so be grateful. I could of bought a lot of booze with that cash, but I saved it up for you. Niffty cleaned it real nice for you, so stop taking so long. You have two more days before I start moving your shit.
Hate me all you want, it’s for your own good. People don’t often realise what they need, but I’m a bartender, I know people more than they think. And I know you more than anyone else.
Two days, y/n.
Regards,
Husker 𑁤

Tumblr media
Hihi!!!!!!!!
It’s Niffty! You know that though, right? Nobody else is sending you letters right y/n??!?!! Tell me they aren’t, tell me i’m the only girl in hell who’s sending you love letters!! Alastor said it’s the most romantic thing to do for someone sweet like you, so if anyone else is that means they like you! >:(((
I like you n/n! I like you more than anyone else does, I pinky swear it!!
Your house needs a clean, I came in last night through your window and did your kitchen real good, but then you woke up and I had to go :(( Your room at the hotel is sooo super clean, because I clean it every 3 hours to make sure there’s no bugs. I eat them for you, don’t worry n/n.
It’s gonna be sooo fun when you move in with me, we’re gonna do so much together! I’ve made you a crown too!!
Niffty :DDD
P.S, I hope you like the ant I stuck to the envelope, I picked him just for you!

Tumblr media
My beloved Y/n,
It has been far too long since we last corresponded, my sincerest apologises. How are you? I hope the answer is well, but how could you be without your prince beside you? I am restless without you as i’m sure you are without me. I’ll fix this little problem, not to worry! I am worthy of your affections, I’ll prove it to you til the end of my afterlife. Which is infinite! Because I am very brave, and incredibly powerful!
My attempts to join the overlords are not going as planned, but once again, do not fear my love! In a few years we shall rule side by side! My minions are excited to meet you, they will guard you with their pathetic little lives and answer your every call! Unless you asked to leave, they won’t let you do that, but you wouldn’t ask that! You’ll be happy with me, right?
Right?
Please I needyouineedyouineedyou
Haha, ignore that scribble! The eggs pushed my arm whilst I was writing.
I’ll see you soon my dearest,
Yours forever,
Sir Pentious (your future husband and future overlord)
———————————————————
Tumblr media
My Y/n,
How are you doing sweetheart? I’m doing great, yes, totally, I’m always great! I’m the king of hell! What’s there to be depressed about? Everything Nothing at all, everything’s perfect my end! It would be much better with you by my side however, what do you think? I think so.
I can give you anything you want, do anything you want, be anything you want! I can give you everything, and you can give me, well, you! Your hand in unholy marriage, your smile. Anything you want to give me, I’ll adore.
Sorry, that’s awfully sappy isn’t it? Do you like that sort of thing? I hope so, I hope you’re feeling valued by my words and my letters. I haven’t gotten one back yet, which is totally okay! You’re probables super busy, and that’s okay! You can tell me everything you want to when I bring you to my palace (that’s where we will live, it’s big, and very expensive, i’m rich by the way)
Anywho, my daughter needs my help today at her little hotel, so I’ll send this to you before I go. Charlie will love you, and you’ll love her. And me
Forever and always yours,
Lucifer (I’m a king by the way :P)
———————————————————
Tumblr media
N/n,
This letter in itself is a sign of how much I care about you, because I do not write letters to people. Throwing out all your electronics and the cameras I put in your house hasn’t helped your little rebellion. I’ll just have to get you sooner than planned, which isn’t a problem for me. I was hoping to court you for longer, but you’ve pressed my buttons sweetheart.
You were very thorougher with your search for all the tech in your house, you got everything. Which i’ll give you credit babe, is impressive considering how much I put in there. Who knew you were so smart? It’s almost cute, if it wasn’t so hopeless.
I’m not sorry for what’s to come, my methods aren’t moral but, hey, who the fuck is moral down here? I am sorry for the emotional distress you’ll endure, but it must be done. You’ll get over it, i’ll make sure of it.
By the time this reaches you, I’ll be outside. Make sure you answer the door for me, kay?

❉ in a long-distance relationship ↳ w/ Nanami & Naoya (separate)
a/n: getting into my clown car because originally i was planning to write this for four characters in total, then i blinked and suddenly i had written over 2k words in headcanons and drabbles and decided to call it a day. i personally want to thank Nanami and Naoya for representing the both flawless and horrendous ends of the spectrum regarding my taste in fictional men ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧
contains: headcanons are sfw & gn!reader, drabbles are ns.fw & afab!reader. i'll put individual warnings before each drabble later in the text.
word count: 2.3k
Tumblr media
❦ 𝐍𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐌𝐈
the driest texter known to man
it’s not like Nanami won’t think of you and text you throughout the day, it’s more that his texts read as if they’re coming from your tax consultant rather than from the love of your life
“Arrived at the accommodation. Room is very clean. About to head out for work, will call you later tonight. Love you, K. PS: Heard Lawson has cabbage on sale this week.”
he’s never beating the old man allegations
it’s an obstacle that yours and his work often requires you both to travel and spend time apart, but to Nanami, once committed, long distance was never a reason for things not to work out between you
he keeps his promises and calls when he said he would, he sends you flowers when he can’t bring them back home in person and he orders you food when you’re having a rough day, staying on the phone with you while you eat and letting you vent if you need to
when he misses you (which he always does), he lets you know. no matter how far apart, Nanami would never make you doubt if you’re on his mind and in his heart
often he’d send you photos of his lunch or local specialities, sometimes photos from the local pigeons too when they’d pick up the crumbs of his sandwich at his feet
“Those two seem inseparable. Made me think of us. Miss your voice, will call you tonight. What are you having for lunch? Careful when you cut the cabbage.”
at night, after another draining day of fighting curses, the only thing keeping Nanami going is the prospect of hearing your voice over the speaker
he will close his eyes and imagine you snuggled up in bed while talking to him, waiting for him to come home, and oh, how badly he wants to be by your side and never let you go
Tumblr media
cw: afab!reader (no pronouns used, 'cunt' and 'pussy' used to describe genitalia), phone sex, panty sniffing, masturbation (with said panties), dirty talk, breeding kink (no mention of pregnancy or babies), mention of: brat taming, mirror sex and hair pulling
“Sorry, love. Were you asleep already?”
Nanami’s voice is quiet, almost like an apology for calling you this late. He knows you’re always staying up and fighting your sleepiness, despite him telling you not to wait for him—he’s grateful you do though, because hearing your voice is the one thing that will get him through each day, no matter how long it drags on.
“Mhm, not quite yet,” you mumble into your phone and smile at the sound of his voice. “‘m all cozy in bed though, it still smells like you. Only missing your warmth.”
Nanami laughs quietly at the other end of the line. He has no problems imagining you right now, having the big bed you bought together all for yourself but still curling up on his side of the mattress, where his scent still lingers. He hums softly.
“That was quite the surprise I found in my pocket this morning.”
You hear some rustling sounds and a pair of pants getting unzipped, and the grin on your face widens. Putting your phone on speaker, you set it down on the pillow next to you and roll over on your back, feeling more awake now.
“Well? Did you like it?”, you coo.
“Loved it.”
The panties you slipped into Nanami’s jacket before he left are now dangling from his finger in the dim light of the bedside lamp. He picked them out for you a while ago and now you were simply returning the favor, knowing how lonely it can get on a solo mission. He closes his big fist around them and brings them to his face, inhaling your musk and making him groan quietly. His cock aches in his boxers, precum staining them slightly, but he doesn’t touch himself yet.
“God, I miss you,” he mutters after catching another whiff of your worn panties. “Want to taste you so badly, love. When I get home, I’ll have you sit on my face till your legs give out.”
You chuckle at the prospect of it. Wouldn’t be the first time.
“Did you touch yourself with my panties?”, you ask in a sultry voice and you can hear Nanami growl a little at the other end of the line.
“I’m doing it right now,” he replies in a husky voice, having his bottoms hastily pulled down his thighs and now fisting his cock with your panties wrapped around it. The fabric feels soft and expensive, and the thought of how they clung to your cunt when you soaked through them has his mind spinning circles.
“Good. I want to hear you cum,” you whisper, closing your eyes for a better imagination. “Tell me what you want to do with me when you’re back home.”
Nanami pumps his fat cock with one hand, the other holding his phone to his ear. He’s sprawled out in an armchair, head in the back of his neck, his eyes shut as well. His breath comes out raggedly.
“Gonna fill your pretty little cunt to the brim,” he mumbles. “Tongue, fingers, cock. Everything. Whatever you beg for, I’ll give it to you. Gonna pump you so full of my cum, you’ll have it ruin your panties for days, but you’d like that, don’t you?”
“Fuck,” you mewl at the other end of the line, kicking back the sheets and spreading your legs to touch yourself to his words. Your fingers reached nowhere as deep as Nanami's, but it was better than nothing.
“Gonna bend you over and fuck you on every flat surface in our house,” he rasps. “In front of the big mirror too, so you can see the faces you make when you cum on my cock. Wanna feel how tight you get when you’re milking me. As if you’re trying to remember the shape of my cock forever. Made for me, only me. And if you’re gonna be a brat, which I know you will, I’ll stuff your mouth with your panties and pull your hair till I fucked some obedience into you.”
Nanami groans; he is so close. Damn, if only you were here for him to bury himself in the warmth of your cunt. Your whimpering at the other end of the line and your panties wrapped around his cock as he pumps himself are enough to send him tumbling over the edge, a supernova of pent up lust and frustration unleashing within him. The silken fabric soaks up all of his cum, sticky and hot against his skin. He made a mess, but cleaning up was for later.
“You good, love?”, he asks in a raspy voice and can’t help but smile at the sound of your heavy breathing.
“Came so hard I saw stars a little,” you confess over the speaker and snicker. You’ll definitely have to change the sheets before Nanami gets home. As if you two wouldn’t ruin them anyway.
“Good, good,” he laughs. “Now sleep, dear, I kept you up for too long. I’ll be home tomorrow night, okay? Can’t wait to kiss you.”

❦ 𝐍𝐀𝐎𝐘𝐀
Naoya hates being apart from you and he doesn’t understand why you take on missions that require you to leave the Zen’in estate aka him
in his eyes, as his spouse there’s no need for you to work at all, you should just stay at home with him or accompany him on his business trips
he can and he will yap about this while you pack your bags, while he drives you to the train station (he insists to escort you there himself), while carrying your luggage and even between goodbye kisses. seriously, this man never learned how to shut up in his entire life
the night prior, Naoya had made sure to leave plenty of hickeys all over your body, as a reminder who you belong to
he’s clearly bored out of his mind without you around, your phone blowing up with text and voice messages from him, demanding your unrestricted attention and getting pouty when you don’t immediately reply to him
it’s not like Naoya is jealous or worried that you’d see someone else behind his back–his ego is too big to consider this even a possibility
he’s simply the undefeated champion in the pain in the ass competition
he’ll act nonchalant when you call him once you’re back at your hotel, trying to sound as if he wasn’t pacing restlessly around all day until his phone finally lit up with your name on display
asking you about your day comes second, first you’ll have to listen to him whining how much it sucks without you around and that this’ll be the last time that he’s allowing you as your husband to go on a solo mission (he’s ignoring your unrestrained laughter about it), and that you’ll have to think of something to make it up to him on your way home which will be in 3 days, 11 hours and 27 minutes (he’s counting)
Tumblr media
cw: afab!reader (no pronouns used, 'cunt' and 'pussy' used to describe genitalia), video call sex, dirty talk, masturbation, praise kink, mention of spitting, sweet talking Naoya into submission, he has nipple piercings in this one, Naoya being his own warning
“Seriously? You couldn’t wait three seconds to at least show me your face before flipping the camera to your dick?”
You lie on your stomach in a hotel bed that’s way too big for you alone, fresh out of the shower, glancing down at your phone in your hand. After a long day of fighting an extremely nasty curse, you crave nothing more than rubbing one out to the voice of your husband and passing out immediately afterwards. Your hips grind lazily into a pillow between your legs, feeling that familiar throb, while Naoya on the other end strokes himself on display as slowly, his thumb drawing circles over his leaking tip. His moans are slightly muffled over the speaker.
“Can’t help it, babe, I’ve been like this all day, aching for ya. Had my cock throbbing even at family dinner. Been thinking about nothing other than stuffing all of yer greedy holes. Just look–”
The movements of the video get a bit shaky when he fists his cock, pumping himself at a leisurely pace. You’ve memorized every vein of his cock, feeling your mouth water a little at the sight of it. While Naoya wasn’t a size king, he had the girth and you vividly remember how he knocked the air out of your lungs when he pounded you into the mattress for the very first time. You roll your hips some more, chasing for the right friction to get you off, the camera still aimed at your face.
“Then gimme a show at least,” you whine and put on a small pout which you know Naoya can never resist. If there’s anything Naoya loves, then it’s attention and praise, and he is way too easy to bait into whatever could offer him that.
“Oh, ‘m gonna give yer a show, baby. Gonna make ya regret not being here with me. I’d have ya drooling all over my cock if yer were here with me now,” he rattles. “Would spit in yer mouth, that’s how ya like it, dontcha?”
The display turns dark and blurry for a moment, and you can practically feel the excitement from the other end of the line when Naoya props his phone up against something to have his hands free. He is so obedient at times, yet he would hate to hear that. For the first time today you get a glimpse of his face now, the pink of his tongue poking out slightly between his lips, his hakama pants hanging unfastened from his hips, his cock resting heavy on his thigh when he leans back.
“The shirt, too,” you demand. “Take it off.”
“Nah, too many buttons,” Naoya huffs and grips his cock again, making sure to angle it just right at the camera. Oh, how he wished you were on your knees before him right now. All the ways he’d mess you up.
“Then pull it up at least. C’mon, put it in your mouth like I do it for you sometimes,” you coax him in your sweetest, sultriest voice. “I know you can be a good boy for me.”
Naoya’s hips yerk up slightly at the praise and he lets out a shaky breath, clearly trying to restrain himself from coming too fast. His resilience is crumbling so easily at the sight of your pretty face and he hastily grabs the hem of his shirt and pulls it up, biting down on it to keep the fabric from sliding down again. One nice side effect of this was that with his mouth stuffed, he would shut up for once.
“Mmm, yes. That’s it, so good, aren’t you?” you coo and have Naoya gripping his cock tighter, his movements getting sloppy. His abs contracted with every jerk of his hand, and soon he was whining and panting, legs spread apart so beautifully for your perfect view.
“Are you gonna cum for me, baby?”, you ask while grinding against your pillow, mesmerized by the sight on your display. Seeing a man like Naoya falter so easily at your words alone has you feeling a certain kind of arousal, pooling right in your stomach.
It makes you want to wreck him entirely.
Naoya nods and whimpers, using his free hand to play with his nipple piercing, all while his other pumps himself into a higher sphere. His hips are bucking and precum is drooling from his pink tip, making a mess out of him and amplifying the lewd sounds.
He doesn’t last long, and when he cums thick white ropes fall onto his stomach, his mouth hanging agape. His cheeks are flushed and he mewls while he keeps stroking himself, milking every last drop out of him while chanting your name in a needy voice.
This. This might be your favorite sight ever.
“Such a good boy. So good for me. Now bend over for me, hm? Show’s not over yet.”

┕━»•» 🌺 «•«━━━━━┙
The arrival of the Sullys helped to create an excellent excuse for you to avoid Ronal for the rest of the day. While you walked around to help the older group of long-lost children move into a pod, you felt your heart soar as they cracked jokes and pointed fun at one another, much like they used to do when you were teenagers.
There was only one pod left unoccupied for use in the tribe, so they all begrudgingly, with many eye rolls and insults muttered in English, moved all of their supplies from their ikran to the thatched home.
As Aonung, Tsireya, and yourself helped transport their belongings to their new headquarters, you learned that after they left your clan, their parents had dragged them all over Pandora on hundreds of adventures. Still, now that they were adults, they had gotten a lot more responsibility, and Jake permitted them to come and visit their old childhood friends for a few weeks.
"So, what are you guys planning on doing here?" You asked as you set a rug on the floor with a thump and stood to the side to wait until everyone was ready to set back off to get more items.
They were welcomed to the clan with open arms by Tsireya upon arrival. Because the family had played a large part in saving her in the fight of three brothers years ago, neither the chief nor the Tsahik could find any reason to deny them a place to stay. This was a simple payment to an outstanding debt owed to them for the Sully's bravery those years ago.
"Relaxing, we are here to do nothing", Lo'ak quickly interjected before either of his siblings could speak, as if his words would magically cure the chaos that followed the family.
Neteyam chuckled as he folded a stack of blankets in the corner.
The sound made your stomach heat up, and you scorned yourself for it. Your mate of not even a day was standing to your right helping you move in your mutual friend to his accommodation, yet you were standing around getting flustered at the sound of Neteyam's laugh.
"Bro, don't even lie, the whole ride here, you were talking about Tsireya", Neteyam teased his brother while Lo'ak jumped over to him and smacked him over the head, which only made Neteyam laugh more.
Tsireya ducked her head into her hand as she busied herself with sorting through a satchel that was filled with cooking utensils. Even as she hid her face, you could still see her blushing with a girlish grin overtaking her lips.
"Oh yeah? Should I tell everyone who you were talking about on the way here?" Lo'ak shot back as he tried to run back to his spot, but Neteyam growled at him and yanked him back to punch his youngest brother in the face with an open palm, causing a shove from Lo'ak.
It was your turn to be bashful as you quickly turned around to gaze out at the ocean that could be seen through the door, purposefully ignoring Aonung's hateful glare that went from you over to Neteyam.
"You two need to learn manners", Kiri yelled out as she kicked out a mat that rolled open onto the floor of the pod in a beautiful display of brown and green colors.
"It's good to see you two haven't changed", Tsireya spoke up while she walked over to join you and Aonung by the door, giving you a playful shove to show that she was aware of who Neteyam had been talking about as if it was a big secret that nobody had worked out.
"Yeah, apart from the fact Neteyam is now as tall as dad and Lo'ak is officially the big mighty warrior, son of Toruk Makto!" Kiri teased them both as she shook her hands around to give a dramatic rendition of being frightened while her voice wavered theatrically.
Tsireya and Kiri both laughed, and Lo'ak and Neteyam responded to their playful energy, but you couldn't help the fact it felt like you had chugged an entire bottle of oil.
Every move Neteyam took was blasting in your mind. When you turned back around to watch them interact, you desperately tried to pull your eyes away from the boy and watch anyone else. Still, his fidgeting movements made every muscle tense, and it seemed to stick itself into you so profoundly that you wanted to bang your head on a wall until the picture of him was out.
You turned to Aonung. He was already looking at you with an irritated scowl on his face. He was your mate, and he felt that you were clearly trying to avoid telling Neteyam off for thinking about you, and it was starting to cause some serious jealousy issues.
When Neteyam had been with the clan the first time, Aonung watched on with great envy as you two grew closer and closer. He was sure that he had lost any chance with you thanks to the boy's incredible advances on you, but then he left.
After the battle, his family tried to make right with the clan and ultimately left once they realised the war wasn't over and they would be endangering everyone around them if they didn't hide again. It had broken you to watch Neteyam leave, and it had broken Tsireya to watch Lo'ak leave. Aonung would like to think the circumstances of the two relationships were different, but some of him knew you and Neteyam had unfinished history.
"Let's go get the last load", you yelled over the friendly bickering, trying not to let your face betray the shame you felt as you broke eye contact with Aonung.
The group all silently heeded your words and continued the conversation about what Tuk was getting up to these days as you and Aonung headed the group back to the ikrans for a final time.
You could feel Aonung's eyes on you the entire time before you finally gave in and rolled your eyes, trying to diffuse the apparent tension between you two.
"I know that look your giving Neteyam and me, we are only friends Aonung, you and I are mated, there is nothing to worry about", you gave a teasing bump of your shoulders together as you tried to convenience yourself of the same thing.
Neteyam was very handsome, and you were simply appreciating his beauty. The mated bond was meant to make feelings about the slightly older boy impossible, and in truth, you felt nothing but slight amazement that he had looked after himself so well, even while on the run from sky people.
"I do not like the way he looks at you", Aonung mumbled back as he felt the envious part of his personality, thought long gone, return to him.
You shook your head and took his hand in your own, giving it a squeeze of reassurance, and a smile fell on his face as he leaned over and gave you a peek on the cheek which made your entire body shiver with pleasure.
"Woah, woah, woah! When did that happen?" Lo'ak cried out behind you as the others looked down at your conjoined hands.
You spoke over your shoulder with a polite smile on your face as you felt Neteyam's eyes zone in on your hands and then on your face.
"Aonung and I were mated yesterday", you felt the words come out of your mouth, but your attention was focused entirely on trying not to cross Neteyam's look that you knew was either going to be surprised like the others or slightly heartbroken.
"You should have seen mother's face when she caught them this morning, they're lucky you got here when you did, she was about to rip into Aonung", Tsireya seemed to have found her place with the group quickly and was having the time of her life, she had never looked so happy and you knew it was because of Lo'ak's figure standing next to her.
Aonung didn't seem happy to let his sister punch down on him and scowled at her over his shoulder to let her know she would be paying for that comment later. Usually, it was him that was making fun of his sister but it seemed the new bitterness that the arrival of Neteyam had caused was clouding his mind and you felt yourself internally sigh as you caught a glimpse of the teenager Aonung used to be.
You all managed to get to the ikran in one piece and picked up everything that was left.
"Lo'ak, take them to the other side of the island", Neteyam ordered his brother to guide the flying creatures away as he picked up two large duffel bags you knew one of which traced back to their mother.
Lo'ak rolled his eyes but then a mischievous grin emerged on his face as he looked over to Tsierya.
"Wanna come? You can fly with me", Lo'ak's flirtatious advances probably wouldn't be stopped by a bullet and it made you laugh as you watched your female friend nervously nod and turn to give Kiri the two bags she was holding.
"Lo'ak..." Neteyam warned as his brother hopped onto the ikran's back and held out his hand for Tsireya to take which she did with a thrilled giggle.
"Don't worry we'll be back", Lo'ak called out as he took off before anyone could tell him it was a bad idea for the troublemaker to run off with the daughter of the chief so quickly after arriving and so soon after their son had already had a run in for an unmentioned mating.
The beast tore up into air with a cry as it roared down toward the other two ikran that gave each other a look with their beady eyes and then to their owners that gave no reaction, seemingly able to read their silent pleas the two other winged beings took towards the sky and followed Lo'ak and Tsireya.
"You have more control over them than ever", you marvelled at the magnificent creatures as they cast shadows over you with their wingspan.
"I don't think you're talking about my brother", Neteyam muttered as he walked over to Kiri and took the bags Tsireya had given her, and threw them over his shoulders, loading himself to the max.
You watched the braided pieces behind each ear clack as they were thrown against each other when he threw his hair over his shoulder in an attempt to get a better view.
Kiri woefully protested, but when her brother shook his head, she was more than happy to lead the four of you back to the home base, with Aonung choosing to stick by your side with an intense protective aura crowning him.
You all set off for the pod and quickly set everything down. Unbeknownst to you, you were about to pick up a hefty box to move it further into the room when Neteyam cut you off and ripped the package from your barely managed grip.
"No, no, It's okay, I've got it, don't worry your little head, pretty girl", he had clearly said it in a tease, a comedic statement on the fact that it was something Aonung called you when you were both younger but Aonung didn't seem to pick up on that.
"Don't call her that", Aonung growled from behind you. His body came closer to yours, and he let a defensive hand fall on your waist to reiterate that you were not available.
Neteyam's eyes rose in disbelief at Aonung's attitude, and his mouth opened and closed a few times in complete incredulity about what to say before his eyes fell on you.
"The bond is still fresh, just give him a while, and he'll be alright", you felt incredibly embarrassed but it wasn't because Aonung had done anything wrong. It was because you couldn't deny that Aonung's hand on your waist in such a secure hold as he growled with possessiveness was making your body react in ways it shouldn't have in front of your friends.
Neteyam nodded and held up his hands as if in mock surrender before he turned around and continued unpacking, trying to ignore the rigid turn the atmosphere had taken.
You turned to look at Aonung with a 'what was that' look, but in reply, he stared into your eyes with a stare that could only be called brutal. He didn't seem angry at you, but the hand on you clenched in a last silent order that you two needed to talk before he turned around and walked off without another word.
In silent contemplation, you sighed and reached to scratch the back of your head. Now that his body wasn't so close it was making your stomach do somersaults, you could finally have an original thought.
What was he doing? Neteyam had always delighted in teasing Aonung, and now that it was clear you were together, he simply just had better ammunition to get under Aonung's skin, but it seemed he was going a bit too deep.
"Trouble in paradise?" Kiri called as she finished with a bag of threads and walked over to comfort you.
"His mother doesn't approve, and I think it's really set him off", you explained as you gazed after him, watching him stalk off with his back turned until he disappeared.
"Ronal has always been defensive of her kids, give her some time to get used to it", Kiri offered you a side hug and rubbed your shoulder kindly.
You nodded and turned to continue to help unpack, talking as you did.
"I'm not so sure, I think she's made her mind up and wants me out of the picture", you handed Kiri an ornament you didn't quite know the use of, and she took it out of your hands with a shrug to set it up.
"Listen, I think it's best if you go talk to him, we can handle this", Kiri could tell that the issue was clearly bothering you, and she had no patience for dramatics, so the sooner you left and consoled your mate, the sooner she could start her few weeks of relaxing with you.
You nodded and turned to leave, but as you did, you brushed shoulders with Neteyam, and he stopped you with a hand on your shoulder.
"Hey, can I talk to you tonight?" He asked, his voice trying to remain friendly, but you could tell he was aching to talk to you like he did when you two were alone, and you nodded with a smile.
It had been years since you caught up and just talked about life, and you were eager to have that time with him again.
"Of course, can you still get to the rock, or is the great Neteyam too old for such folly?" You smiled politely at him and let your hand stab at his side, making him hiss.
"I'll be there well before you will be slow bones", he poked your shoulder with a nod before turning around and resuming the task at hand.
You waved goodbye and told Kiri you would speak to her more tomorrow before you set off for your pod, where you had a strange feeling Aonung was waiting for you.
--
You ripped open the flap, and sure enough, there your mate was, awkwardly trying to make use of himself by slicing some vegetables you had collected the week before on a board with a knife.
His ears downturned as soon as you entered the room, but he didn't look up. Instead, he placed the food he had already cut into a pot, returned to the board and kept up his work.
"I'm going to talk to Neteyam tonight, and you are going to apologize to him tomorrow", you felt angry that he didn't even bother to look up when he entered, so you quickly explained what would be happening.
He looked up, and his eyes peered at you before he placed the knife down and leaned back into a sitting posture with his knees tucked into his arms.
"Why should I apologize to that skxawng?" He muttered, holding your gaze for several seconds before you gave in and looked away.
"Because he is our friend Aonung, he supports us both, and you were rude to him! He doesn't have a mate yet, he doesn't understand what the bond does to you, and you've been more cruel than usual", you tried to lose the angered tone and moved forward to touch him, but he quickly stood up and moved to the other side of the room, towards the door.
"Oh yeah? Even though he just couldn't stop talking about you on the way here?" He growled as he sat down, trying to figure out what to do with himself.
It was clear he was jealous, and you two had put your very new bond under a lot of stress today, so it made sense that he was getting so worked up.
"I know, but that was only endearingly, you know how Lo'ak and Neteyam tease each other", you crouched down to your floor and approached him slowly as if he were an animal.
Aonung only watched you move toward him, choosing not to say anything.
You came just close enough that your fingers grazed over his knee, and the pressure of your skin being pressed against his made his mind reel in emotions of bliss and love.
You smiled as you saw his shoulders lower and release the tension they had been holding, he truly wasn't himself today, and neither were you. After a few days, your union would acclimate to your bodies, and you would fall back into a regular rhythm, but your bodies hormones only wanted to fit into one another.
Even the feeling of the slightest touch got both of your pupils blown out of proportion and your hearts aching for more.
Your fingers danced on his knee for a second before you moved the hand to rub his thigh gently, which he grunted out in appreciation for, letting his head hang back and crash into the side of your pod, which made you smile.
You felt the anger in you both melt and evaporate as you tutted and moved closer so you could inspect his thigh, causing his leg to twitch and his breath to stop.
You pushed his leg back and looked over the marking, it was slightly more tender than yesterday, and it showed his head had been more concerned about everything else than his own body that needed to be cared for.
You leaned down and pressed a kiss above the tattoo, taking a long time to bathe in the pathetic whimper Aonung let out as your lips touched so close to the area where he was starting to need you on.
"Seriously? You can't even go one day without me?" You chuckled, letting your hot breath tickle him.
He pushed his hands onto the ground and desperately tried to push himself up in a worthless attempt to try and regain some of his motor functions, he didn't want to do this right now with the chance of his mother tracking him down again, playing in his mind, but you looked so perfect.
"No, I'm fine!" He shook his head as if that would stop any of the blood that was rushing with full force to his cock.
You nodded with faux conviction and pulled back, letting the absence of your touch twist his brain inside out.
You gazed over him as you sat on the backs of your heels. How he looked at your body made you feel so beautiful and desirable that you wanted to reward him to ensure that he would always look at you like this.
"You don't look fine to me, pretty boy, that tattoo looks like it hurts", his face scrunched up at your words, and he went to stand up, but you leaped forward and pressed your hand against his pecs, loving the way his heart was racing underneath your hand.
"Let me kiss it better, if that's what you want?" You pushed him back to his previous position and unraveled from him, letting his need for you power his thoughts.
He wanted to shake his head and tell you he was okay because he was sick and tired of being the one begging for you, but his body overtook him, and a solemn nod shook his head up and down.
"Alright, but you have to be good to me, okay?" Your hands reached out and spread his legs apart so you could bunny-hop yourself in between his legs.
He could only watch as his entire body shook and trembled with the incurable need to feel your touch again swarmed his previous thoughts and feelings.
He shook his head violently up and down as you lowered your head to gently brush your lips over the inner part of his fibrous thighs that could have easily crushed your head if he closed them around you and squeezed.
You tried to move around freely but couldn't manage it with your hair in the way, so you sat up again and bundled your hair up before lowering yourself to above his crotch, which made his entire body tense.
"Hold this for me, baby?" You asked as you handed off your hair to him.
You took a second to delight in how he pulled your ponytail far above you so that you could see everything before you set off to kiss around the tattoo again.
Every kiss you planted made soft groans echo out of his mouth and bounce around the pod, making your stomach flutter. When you finished kissing and pulled back you didn't get very far before his thighs tightened around your shoulders and stopped you from moving any further.
You could feel everything around you freeze as your nose barely brushed against his loincloth that had a tent pitched beneath it.
"Aonung...let me go", you ordered, feeling slight irritation that he had stopped your flow of movements so suddenly.
You looked up and felt like the most blessed woman in the universe when you could only see his eyes looking over the pecs that blocked your view while his hair was once again out in small tufts as it did when he became sexually flustered.
"Let me fill your mouth up, pretty girl", the last time you two fucked, it seemed that when he got more aroused, the roles switched from his dominant side to his sweet submissive side, but now he had utterly polar opposites, the more his dick grew, the more demanding his body was.
"What makes you think I'll let you do that?" You dared to challenge his taking charge of the sexual encounter, which only turned him on more as his dick now stabbed your jaw with a twitch.
"Because if you do, I'll let you sit on my face", his words brightened up his face and you couldn't deny the butterflies that filled your chest as his words took your breath away.
"Yeah, you like that idea, huh?", He didn't waste any time reaching his hand to his hip and detaching the cloth he was wearing to pull it away from him.
You continued to stare into his eyes as his dick flew up from its confines and gently hit you in the cheek. You could feel your body salivating in more than one place as his words and actions sunk in.
He pulled you up by the hair that he was still holding and lined your mouth up with his crotch before he lost his grip and let you move at your own pace.
You hadn't even agreed to his terms, but his vocabulary alone had caused such a spark of need to feel his cum anywhere in your body that you obeyed.
Your lips suctioned around his tip and slowly slid down about two inches past the end so that you could tease the boy.
His hand in your hair tightened, and the burn of the strands pulling against your scalp furthered your eagerness as you sunk deeper into him. You paused for a second and moved up, but before you could remove your lips, his hips bucked into your mouth and caused you to gag and let out a burning cough at the feeling of his brute force digging into the back of your throat.
"M'sorry", was all he could mumble out, but you still decided to punish him, even if he hadn't done it on purpose.
You pulled off him entirely, and his eyes instantly opened, searching your face to make sure you weren't hurt, but your brow was creased, and you placed your hands on either side of his base to push down on his pelvis and hold him down.
"Do that again, and I'll make you do this yourself", your voice was stern, but Aonung's mind was clouded in lust, and all he could force his body to do was nod as his dick cried out for your hands to move upwards to his shaft.
"Words", you demanded, and you could feel his legs squirm behind you as his lust started to push past any boundaries he had.
"Yes", he could only reply in single words that satisfied you enough that you leaned backward. For a second, he thought it hadn't been enough, and he went to pull you back in by your hair, but you hovered over his stiff cock with your lips closed.
He waited to see what you were doing, and you didn't keep him waiting for very long as you gathered up a ball of spit in your mouth and slowly let the ball dribble from your mouth onto his dick, acting as a lubricant.
He was doing everything he could not to desperately start humping the air as you pulled back your lips and uncovered your tongue. You moved to the base of his cock and licked upwards, gathering the clear liquid you had spat on him and then letting your tongue flick a few times over his slit, which made a delicious moan escape him.
Precum began leaking from him, soaking over your tongue and letting the bitter taste soak into your taste buds.
You paused above his tip when you had cleaned as much of his precum and your spit off of him as you could, and then you lowered yourself against him once more.
He let out a chain of moans that warmed your chest, making you want to give him more pleasure, so you pushed down, as far as you could manage, which was a few inches above his base, and then you moved upwards, the aching pace was killing Aonung, and you could tell.
You moved up and down faster now that your throat started to burn less, and it was the most fantastic thing ever.
The mere fact that you were giving him pleasure was doing terrible things to your pussy, and even though it was begging for friction, the feeling of Aonung jerking himself into your mouth was much more commanding.
You worked his dick for a few seconds, and you could tell the pace you were going was killing him, so you pulled back off him and quickly started speaking before he began to beg you to go back down.
"You want to fuck my face all by yourself like a big boy?" Your words had him hypnotized, and it took him a second to fight against his dick that was edging closer to release.
"Yeah", his voice was innocent and entirely overwhelmed by your words, making you grin while a devilish thought played in your mind.
"Yeah, who?" You asked as your tongue fell out of your head and dared to draw a circle around the edge of his tip, which made him cry out.
"Yes, ma'am", he finally got out the angelic words you ached to hear from him, and you nodded for him to continue on his own with a smile as you retracted your hands from around him.
Immediately he brushed your hair over your shoulder so he could let one hand grab the back of your head while the other helped push your mouth down to his cock.
It felt so dirty to have him use you like you were only a hole to him. The feeling of his dick pushing itself to the back of your throat as he pushed himself into you made you cough and gag. Still, every time he went to slow down, you would let one of your hands rub his leg lovingly to reassure him that you were okay, and he would speed up his pace again.
The only sound that filled the tent now was your gagging, Aonung's grunts, and the wet squelch his dick made as it pounded into your mouth, which drooled all over his crotch.
Tears pricked your eyes, and you could feel snot gently dripping from your nose. Still, after about a minute of Aonung pounding into your mouth, his thrusts became less controlled, and he managed to find his voice as the moans and whimpers he let out could finally tone down as he fastly approached his climax.
"Fuck, you're taking me all in, beautiful girl, who owns this mouth, huh? Neteyam couldn't fuck your skull like this even if he wanted to, your ass is mine", he let his words spill from his brain with no filter as he continued to thrust as much as he could manage with his high coming closer and closer.
"You're beautiful, my gorgeous mate, fuck! You're so fucking stunning", he sang out praises to you as the hand that had guided you to his dick now came to rest on your neck and rubbed circles on your skin.
The change in word choice had you blushing, and before you could decide against it, you pushed him down by his thighs. At first, he thought you needed a break and was about to grant it to you if you couldn't take it anymore. Still, instead, you took a deep breath through your nose and hollowed out your cheeks, pushing your mouth deeper than you had gone the entire session, letting your lips close around his base, which made his fists pound on the floor as he fought for something to clench onto.
You felt the tip of his dick spasm at the back of your throat, and warm liquid spat itself down your mouth, making you choke a bit. You unintentionally spat the load over yourself as you tried to swallow it and pulled back in shame.
"I'm sorry, I thought I could do it", your hand was brought to your mouth as you tried desperately to wipe away the white seed that had begun dripping around your mouth.
Aonung was left breathless as he looked over your face that was coated in his seed. He would have to purposefully cum on your face next time because as you sat there, lips plump from sucking him dry with his jizz all over your mouth and cheeks, he could feel his dick grow twitch again as a second load leaped from his cock and sprayed your legs making his head finally hang back and his chest heave.
You were shocked at the surprised second load, but as you looked down at yourself, you felt your core ache in anguish that it hadn't been your pussy he had unloaded into.
He managed to raise his head for a second, and through gasps of air, he let out.
"Fucking come here and ride my face before I have to cum again", he was breathless, but at the same time, he was restless to taste you on his face.
You chuckled as you tried to wipe away the semen, but it failed as you only rubbed the sticky substance deeper into your skin.
"Can't we have a break?" You asked, even though the break was for his enjoyment rather than your own. Your core was clenching, and you could feel your clit begging you to grind on it.
He let out his tongue at your question, resting above his chin in a silent offering.
"Well then again, what are we, amateurs?" You hopelessly huffed out as Aonung adjusted himself so that he was on his back and you had enough room to comfortably sit down without hitting the wall.
"How about after this, I put a baby in you?" He asked hopefully as you clambered beside him, slightly embarrassed about where he wanted you.
"How about you focus on making me cum before you get ahead of yourself, pretty boy?"

I demand your take on ABO 141 with a male reader PLEASE, there's never any good male stuff
Bestie do NOT give me this kind of brainrot, but also I accept the gift graciously-
Also, I had no idea what you wanted the male reader to be so there's a bit of everything so everyone's happy :) They come off a little oc-ish to me, the way I did the reader but oh well, I like it.
Forgive me for anything I got wrong, I'm not an A/B/O master guys. This was way longer than I initially planned, lol. Enjoy!

Omegaverse!141 x Male reader!!!
I'm not the most bright brained alright, I agree with literally everyone else and I think Price and Ghost would both be Alphas with Gaz and Soap being betas, it just makes sense in my mind. The two Alphas need the cool-headed inbetweens to keep them from toppling everything and/or butting heads from too much hormones going around.
They're all fairly skeptical about yet another person joining them for any given reason, four people is plenty and having yet another person in the fray, while it might be helpful sometimes, is a bit of a balancing act to fit into their already perfect schedule. Changing things to accommodate you, while not the worst thing, isn't the most easy feat for everyone. Especially depending on what you are...
☄. *.
You were an Alpha, purebred, built like a brick wall and about as stubborn as one too. Although you weren't loud about it, you weren't going to let people forget tat you were not to be messed with. Raised with a bit of an ego as most purebred Alphas were, you knew you were destined for greatness from the moment you presented. Started physical and mental training as soon as you were old enough, the goal had always been the military for you, no doubts about it. But you had never imagined, in all your wildest dreams, that you would be a part of the task force.
Most people, upon first glance, would likely assume you fit right in, but shoehorning you in with two other alphas was way harder than anticipated, seeing as you immediately began trying to prove yourself before you had gotten settled in. Which, would have been adorable if you weren't so damn stubborn about it.
Ghost is working out? You join him without a second thought, attempting to lift twice as much as what he's doing. Of course, his numbers were already nothing to scoff at, so all you truly succeeded in, was nearly dropping the weight on your foot and damaging your precious alpha pride. "You alright there tough guy?" Ghost seemed amused by your ambitious failure.
"Shut up." Was all you growled in retaliation, storming off to go sulk elsewhere.
Soap is practicing at the range with Gaz? You grab a pistol and try to show off just how capable you are with it, easy right? Not really. You fumble in a way you weren't even sure you understood, and to put it simply, you missed the target significantly and blew an entire round trying to make amends. By the time you had finished it, the sergeants were trying not to lose their composure and die laughing at your cockiness despite it all. Damnit, you could normally do this all so easy, what the hell was wrong!? You set down the weapon with a nearly frightening calmness despite the seething rage in your chest that demanded respect as an alpha. Your self-righteous upbringing had done you no good now as you stormed off to go beat the shit out of the next inanimate object that pissed you off.
"How exactly did he make it here?" "Eh, cap says he's good. Let 'im cool off, I'm sure he knows what he's doin."
There was no cooling off, of course, as you ended up nearly punching a hole in the wall as you had graciously slammed into the doorway in your blind rage, smacking yourself square in the nose and nearly toppling over in pain. That was, quite honestly, the last straw for your dignity as you snarled something ferocious. Not caring that it had been rather close to the Captain's office until you were unceremoniously yanked back by your scruff, held face-to-face with the unamused John Price. Although you were an alpha, even you couldn't quite deny the effect his scent had on you now. Not one of anger, but certainly not a playful one either. He was projecting his authority, silently telling you to quiet down a little and stop being such a loudmouth showoff. Shame and something akin to an excited fear sparked briefly in the pit of your stomach before you cleared your throat and swallowed hard.
"Captain." You nodded shortly, not missing the way his hand tightened around the back of your neck.
"Heard you've been causing a bit of a ruckus for the others, been busy?" He raised a thick brow, making you swallow back your nerves. You attempted to shoot back some of your own alpha scent, but it felt puny and overpowered entirely by his.
"Not intentionally, sir."
"Let's settle down a little, you've barely been here a week, quit causing trouble or I'll have to take care of your behavior myself. Got it?" He leans close, you could swear he was breathing on the back of your neck now and you know for a fact your heart is racing for reasons you don't think are fear.
Not wanting to find out what he means by that just yet, you give a quick nod that seems to satisfy him enough to let you go. Allowing you to scamper back to your room, the adrenaline cushioning what was going to be a very hurt ego when it settled in that you had been grabbed by the collar and scolded like a child. Damnit, you would prove yourself one way or another...
☄. *.
You were a Beta, always being told you were unremarkable, nearly always forgotten in the squabble between Alphas and Omegas. So, in an effort to at least be something impressive to yourself, you took to bulking up. Genetics and luck both seemed to favor you as you certainly bulked up. To the point where you were constantly mistaken for an Alpha by anyone that didn't truly know you. If they did, they would know that you were far more of the beta disposition in reality. Laid back, cheerful, extroverted enough to make friends, but not gratingly so. The perfect addition to the task force at first glance...
Minus the fact that you were both clumsy, and a little bit ditsy from time to time.
Sure, you weren't incapable, you could definitely hold your own in battle. But it seemed that when the adrenaline wasn't pumping through your veins, you were a tangle of long limbs and jumbled thoughts. It was obvious that you weren't trying to be a mess, but the others seemed to assume you were up to something. Surely, a mountain of a man like you, such a capable Beta on the battlefield, can't be such a... dolt in real life, right?
The same man they had witnessed absolutely nail a small squadron all by his lonesome, had momentarily forgotten how to lace his boots after unlacing them entirely to replace them. And had practically tied his feet together.
"You think he knows he's doin' it wrong?" "Oh he has to by now... right?" "Guys, did I get it? I'm so confused, why is this so weird!?"
Not to say you were entirely unaware of yourself, you knew you were scatterbrained at times. But you didn't know that they had assumed you were taking them for a fool sometimes. The sergeants decided to confront you about it, with Soap cornering you after a particularly amusing incident.
"Mate, ye know we've seen ye on the field right?" He sighed, running his fingers through his overgrown curls. "uhh, yeah?" You kind of stared between the two of them, completely confused as to where the conversation was going. Gaz snuck behind you, wrapping an arm around your shoulder in a friendly manner. "Right, so you don't have to act like a total numpty off the field, you aren't foolin' anyone anymore." He chuckled, nudging your head with his playfully. It would have been a comforting thing, except for the fact that you had no clue what they were on about. "What do you mean?" "Stop acting like such a hare-brained dingus. Just be yourself, mate." He shook your shoulders gently, the two staring at you so earnestly, just trying to convince you to just be yourself around them. "Oh... About that..."
Of course after that, they both felt really bad and you had to explain for over an hour that no, it wasn't on purpose, yes, you were that messy sometimes, and no, you weren't mad for their assumption. Although Ghost certainly seemed to find it hilarious that you were such a gentle giant, and a total hot mess express. Not that he told you that, truth be told, he didn't feel the need to talk to you much off of the field. Not because he didn't like you, he simply felt you fit in so well with the betas and he didn't want to throw off things. Although he did want to know how you had gotten so huge naturally.
Price thinks you're downright precious with the stark contrast between on and off duty with you. It's like you become a completely different person and he can't help but smell the scent of a content beta every time he tells you that you've done him good. He was certain that everyone could tell just how excited you were when he referred to you as "his good lad". It was a simple nickname, rolled off his tongue before he could stop it, but you nearly lit up in elation. So now not only him, but everyone else makes an attempt to give you subtle little praises like that just to see you get all giddy, and to this date you have yet to notice, or at least say anything about it.
☄. *.
You were an omega, not what any of them expected when they were told that someone would be joining them, as omega were notoriously... well... Violence avoidant to put it simply. But you were not the type that wanted to feed into stereotypes. You wanted any excuse to not become some boring old stay-at-home omega that took care of children and housework. The parts of the world you had grown up in were very traditional and expected just that of you. "Settle down with a nice Alpha, have babies, live the peaceful life." Yeah right, it was like they didn't even know what you wanted.
So, in an effort to escape that life, you decided to enlist, and it turned out that you were... actually kinda good at it despite it all. Your fight or flight chose to flee more often than not, but that meant you were quick on your feet despite the stomach churning levels of anxiety that pulsed through your veins at any given moment. Your adrenaline raced and kept you moving before you could chicken out, and that made you a damn good soldier.
Off field was a different story but that didn't really matter seeing as you liked minding your own business and having your own space more often than not.
When you first met all of them, the aura of two alphas was quite a lot, especially as it seemed at least Ghost was projecting a little bit more than he needed to, getting across the point that there was an order to the way things were and you needed to not ruin that. (He's just nervous having an omega around as he isn't used to it and he isn't sure exactly how to act around you.)
Gaz is rather quick to step in and soothe you with his beta scent, like warm coffee and vanilla and something distinct that you hadn't ever smelled before. But it soothed your racing nerves and made you feel a little less alienated. Although with a nudge from John, Ghost realized he was only successfully scaring you, and he cut it out just as quickly.
Johnny is excited to have an omega around, although he doesn't really treat you any different than Gaz. It's the equivalent of short people acting different when they're around someone shorter than them, yknow? Like he doesn't see you as beneath him, he just knows you're different than anything he's been around and he's nosey about absolutely everything.
"Do all Alphas scare you?" "No... why would they?" "I dunno, it seemed like every omega I met before was either addicted to Alphas or terrified of em." "Uh, no, I think you just knew weird people before."
Another thing, is that Price seems to view you as a sort of stray cat. Skittish if anyone approached you a little too loudly or excitedly, but plenty sweet if they got to know you. At least, that was how it was in his head. In reality, you were just an introverted guy who wanted to at least get along with his teammates and they thought you were the cutest thing ever. Sometimes, John would call you into his office just to tell you that he noticed your hard work and he was proud of you. He loved the way your cheeks flushed whenever he got close or projected his scent a little extra, filling the room with the scent of expensive cigars and warm, woody cologne. It made you a little fuzzy int eh head and he could tell, so he avoided using it. But the face you made when you got all spacey and distracted during meetings because you were sandwiched between him and Ghost, it was just too good to resist.
"You alright there sergeant?" "Yes sir, all-all good." "You look a little flushed, you sure you're not coming down with something?" He pressed the back of his hand to your forehead, trying not to smile wider when your eyes widened just slightly. "Positive, Captain..." You squeaked.

There was no banquet after the wedding. Instead, following a series of polite congratulations, Cassian's family returned to Brindleton and he followed Lady Catherine to his new home.
"I shall give you the tour and then leave you to settle in until evening," said Lady Catherine, politely signalling for Cassian to follow her.
"It is a most modern and attractive building," remarked Cassian. "I am so used to families living in their inherited castles."
"I do not care for old castles. They are such cold, crumbling and draughty things and often require far too much proximity to peasants," Catherine explained.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"This is the banquet hall. I like to ensure there is ample supply of food for guests at all times - one never knows when one might need to entertain."
"Do you throw many banquets, then?" Cassian asked hopefully. Catherine looked at him with a mild disgust.
"No. That would be unseemly. Banquets are reserved for special occasions and visiting dignitaries."
Tumblr media
"Here we have the great hall -"
"Let me guess - this doesn't get used except for on special occasions or for visiting dignitaries either?"
"Indeed, though then it is only the most special of special occasions. Too much dancing and drink leads to vulgar behaviour. One must only engage in such activities when one can be certain of their guests' virtue."
"Oh, of course," replied Cassian. Catherine eyed him suspiciously as if sensing his sarcasm, but not entirely sure.
Tumblr media
"On to one of the most important rooms - the chapel. We will attend church daily, of course, but the chapel is here for those additional moments where one needs space for divine contemplation."
"I'm sorry, I must have misheard you... did you say we'll be attending church daily?"
"Yes. I believe it was stipulated as so in the legal agreement for our marriage," replied Catherine, surprised at Cassian's question.
Cassian sighed, "That one must have escaped my notice."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"The tapestry gallery leads off to our separate chambers. I am in the east wing while you are in the west wing. Each chamber comes with all the rooms one might require. I have provided simple furnishings, but you are welcome to add your own possessions. You are not to enter my chambers outside the designated times for marital relations. I would take you up to the top floor, but it is currently empty; I have planned that floor for children. It has space to comfortably fit four, but could accommodate eight. Of course, I do not hold too much expectation of the number of children we may have, given your advanced age, but it is always best to be prepared. That is everything I wished to show you for now. You may return to your rooms and I will expect you this evening for the first relations to consummate the marriage and begin preparation for the first child," Catherine said all of this so matter-of-factly that Cassian began to question whether he would even manage sexual arousal with such a woman. Still, he said nothing in reply but curtly nodded and headed for his chambers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As he walked into his chambers, he was grateful to see a bar had been installed and immediately poured himself a drink - he was going to need a lot of alcohol if he was going to get through this consummation.

📖 for kinnporsche the series? your ideas are just so good!
thank u nonny!! 😭❣
this one took me a while to type because it is my weird whacky fic child who i love very dearly but struggle to explain. so, uh.
✨ Necromancy AU ✨
Big dies in the warehouse. Porsche gets Arm to get his body out, gets Kinn to delay the cremation, and gets Chay to reanimate Big.
(because reanimating the dead is just something Chay can do, because he figured it'd be a good skill to learn and he's my most specialest boy.)
Kinn (who's at the morgue for Porsche) is flabbergasted, Khun (who's at the morgue by a miracle) is stunned silent, and Kim (who's here because Khun texted him but didn't say Chay would be here) is more shocked by Big than Chay's abilities.
(Kim is the only person other than Porsche to just accept necromancy as A Reasonable Thing For Chay To Know. this is why they're Chay's favorites.)
anyways so Big is now awake and surrounded by this family. this is hell. not just for him, his sudden undead status is causing a lot of problems:
Porsche just had Chay bring Big back, he didn't like...tell anyone what was happening or make a plan for what to do with him.
Kinn just figured out his new guard roster, and now he has to redo it to accommodate one very grumpy and very loyal Big who now doesn't need trivial things like sleep or food.
there's the looming specter of Khun's upcoming dry cleaning bill because he won't. stop. poking. Big.
Big is trying very, very, very hard to ignore that not only do people know he knew about Porsche and Kinn, but that he loves Kinn so much he died protecting Porsche.
speaking of, Porsche just thanked him for saving Chay and (in a quieter voice) for saving him.
Big is in hell.
despite all that, Big's plans for his new life are to just go back to being Kinn's perfect guard. he is ignoring the awkwardness, none of this is fine, none of this will be fine, but it will be NORMAL.
this is hampered by the fact that whoops, turns out the undead need to hang around their "masters" for at least a few hours every couple of days to "recharge" so to speak, as discovered by Pol when he screamed so loud he set a fire alarm off because he stumbled over Big's body face down in front of Kinn's door at 2am.
this is even further hampered by Korn, who will absolutely not stand for his preferred heir being guarded by someone who might be more loyal to someone other than him. Korn uses the "recharge" issue to force Big out by way of making him Chay's permanent guard.
so now Big, the perfect bodyguard who only got better at his job in death, is now stuck hanging around a high schooler who doesn't get into trouble and just wants to make music with his bitchy boyfriend.
(because oh yeah, mr. the untamed nerd Kim is obviously ridiculously into Chay being able to resurrect the dead and leaks feelings before he can run away and sabotages all future attempts to ghost Chay (insert necromancer joke here). Kim's fears of love and hurting those he loves will cause different problems.)
anyways, Big is suffering. not only is he stuck guarding Porsche's baby brother (who! he's realizing he likes as a person! will the horrors never cease!), Chay keeps being nice and thoughtful and looking out for him as a person and asking after his happiness and shit (the horrors!! are not ceasing!!!!). when Big finally has enough of all this Being Treated Like A Human Being business and asks Chay why he even cares, Chay blurts out "Big, do you even want to be alive?"
because this has been eating at Chay ever since he brought Big back at the morgue. because he never knew Big and never asked if he'd want to be alive again, Chay just did it for Porsche, who wasn't doing it for Big but for his own guilt. and then Big's old life was like an ill-fitting glove, because he and Porsche can't be bitches with Big's sacrifice hanging over them but don't know how to act when they aren't being bitches, Korn won't accept him back because he only sees his own paranoia and none of Big's loyalty, and Kinn might appreciate Big's loyalty but he won't fight for it either, not when he's trying to juggle the rest of Korn's messes coming to fruition. Big's been completely forced out of his old life and any ties he might've kept to the other guards (as few as they were) are ruined by the others' guilt and discomfort, because Big might not have died in the first place if literally anyone had listened to him during the Tawan debacle, which they could ignore when he was dead but can't when he's alive and there in front of them.
and the whole confession draws Big up short because no one's ever asked him what he wants before. Big was just the son of a mafia enforcer who got scooped up young by the main family as a personal guard for Kinn. Big's never even considered that what he wants could be an option. even when he first came back, his main considerations were on the ways he was a better guard for Kinn. Big's chosen more things for himself in his weeks with Chay than he has in his life, and he never stopped to think how he feels about that.
he does now. kinda. this is Big after all. but after both forty-three excruciating minutes and three days, Big finally answers Chay, "i never lived for me before. it's...nice." Chay, who's gotten quite good at reading between the lines after all the exposure from Kim and Big, beams and makes him help him pick his electives for his first semester of university, because Chay's determined to help Big find a hobby and he's overcome far tougher things than emotional constipation.
[[ ask me about fics im not writing ]]
Bonus
small scene snippet from shortly after Big's first brought back to life, right after Kim's walked into screaming, stolen Pol's gun, and shoved Chay behind him for protection, because i love themm
Kim opens and closes his mouth silently before sputtering, “But you— I heard— What…?!”
Chay worms his arms around Kim’s waist to get his attention and his head pops over Kim’s shoulder. “It’s okay, phi,” he says soothingly, “I brought him back.”
Big gets an eye full of Kim’s face flashing through four emotions he recognizes and thirty he doesn’t, which is thirty-four more emotions than Big can deal with. Kim twists around in Chay’s hold, just enough to squint at him from the corner of his eye without letting Big out of his gun’s sight line.
“You know how to resurrect the dead?”
Chay drops his chin onto Kim’s shoulder with a huff. “Why do people keep asking me that? It seemed like a useful skill to know!”
“Obviously,” Kim scoffs, which is the first original response Big’s heard to that all day. “I meant you can do it? What, we’re you bored and just googled ‘how to make a zombie’ one day after school?!”
Chay rolls his eyes and pokes the undersides of Kim’s ribs. Shockingly, Kim pushes further into his hold, rather than away. “Don’t be silly. You have to be trained by a shaman to make a zombie.”
Kim actually turns to look at him dead on. His gun is still trained on Big.
Chay cocks his head to the side. “What? I just googled ‘how to bring back the dead’ and went from there. It’s basically CPR!”
“That worked?”
Chay looks genuinely baffled. “Why wouldn’t it?”
Kim stares at him incredulously before suddenly going boneless in Chay’s hold, squishing him back against the wall. Chay does not protest being squished between Kim and a hard place. He actually looks delighted by it. Big would like to go throw up now. He doesn’t know if corpses can do that, but he’s willing to make an effort.
“Of course it works, you’re you,” Kim grumbles. He knocks his head against Chay’s and rubs in a move so cute Big will throw up, death be damned. “If life worked for me like that...”
Chay beams and pats his stomach. “I’ll teach you!”
Turns out corpses can't throw up, but they can gag so hard they choke.

Raison d’être - A Premature Burial 9
Author: Akira
Characters: Shu, Mika
Translator: Mika Enstars
"I am a maverick, a mutation. Grandfather was no different; I used to be called his second coming."
[Read on my blog for the best viewing experience with Oi~ssu ♪]
Season: Winter
Location: Chinese Restaurant
Tumblr media
Noon the next day, at a Chinese restaurant near the ES building…
Mika: *chomp chomp, chomp chomp chomp*
Shu: Non! You still eat as messily as always! Your conduct is betraying your upbringing!
Well, you are eating and sleeping well, which is growth. You had become extremely unhealthy last year because you had been doing everything to accommodate me.
Mika: Nnah~, but, Oshi-san…
Shu: Swallow your food before you speak.
Mika: Nnah~… *chew chew, swallow*
Umm. What was I gonna say?
Oh, right. I know ya said you’d take care of the food fer me while we're in Japan, but are ya sure a Chinese restaurant was okay?
Ya were overseas fer a long time, don’tcha miss Japanese food, Oshi-san?
Shu: Generally, that may be true, but..
I am what you would call western-minded. Back at home, I was a child who secretly disliked Japanese food that would get scolded for munching on croissants in secret.
Mika: Nnah~, now that ya mention it, yer right. There’s even an oven built in yer house for them!
Ahaha, I’m real happy t’get t’learn so much about ya this time, Oshi-san!
Shu: Why is this… This isn’t the time to be chatting away like this!
My family is quite earnestly working to correspond to Grandfather’s unreasonable behavior. That troublesome old man of ours will scold me if I sit around and do nothing.
But of course, the rest of my family are not artists.
I am a maverick, a mutation. Grandfather was no different; I used to be called his second coming.
And so, the rest of my family will likely hire a renowned artist, funeral professional, and so on, using money.
Mika: That’s usually how things go, the best way’s t’leave the funeral to a professional funeral director.
Shu: Right. We’ll need a little ingenuity to defeat such formidable opponents if we are to win this Funeral Contest.
We likely won’t win even doing it the usual way. Although we are somewhat acclaimed artists in this world, we are amateurs when it comes to funerals.
Mika: Nnah~… Yer right ‘bout that, but what's our plan then?
Ya say we gotta add a lil’ ingenuity… It’s a funeral, are ya sure it’ll be okay t’do somethin’ novel?
Shu: Hmph. The art we have today is only because we have once shattered such preconceived notions.
Of course, I have no intentions to do anything inappropriate, either.
The top priority is to properly mourn my beloved grandfather. The outcome of the Funeral Contest is secondary, or even tertiary.
Mika: Right.
Shu: That’s where I have an advantage over the rest of my family—My grandfather and I had a bond stronger than anyone else’s.
I believe that because I know the deceased the best, I can give them the funeral they want.
Mika: >Although Grandfather is not quite “deceased” yet… Well, I know what ya mean.
It ain’t a usual performance for the masses, different than a work woven just for our fans’ liking this time—
A work made to order just for a specific individual, for Grandfather.
So it makes sense t’adapt to the person’s tastes and all that.
Shu: Fufu, I’m glad to be able to have a “typical conversation” with you like this. In the past, all I would do is explain things to you endlessly with you confused as it all flew over your head.
It was like a parent bird bringing food to its young!
Tumblr media
Shu: But now that you’ve grown up, we can fly side by side.
I’m delighted by that fact. …You’ve really grown, Kagehira.
Mika: W-What the, ya really sound like an old man there, Oshi-san.
Tumblr media
Raffaello: “—Do excuse me for interrupting your chat.”
“May I join in on your conversation?”
Mika: Nnah? T-There’s a suspicious voice comin’ from somewhere! Could it be, the voice of the suspicious illegitimate child of your Grandfather—Raffaello?
Shu: I don’t mind conversing with you, but let us move elsewhere.
You may get dirtied by food stains. I have your doll neatly packed and tucked away in my bag with that in mind.
Raffaello: “I think that is reasonable.”
“Although I would like to express my dissatisfaction that objects that were originally used as a daily necessity have been stuffed away into museums, reduced to mere works of art.”
“But dolls are meant to be cherished. I must admit that dirtying and scratching them is not an appropriate thing to do.”
Shu: Although some people cherish the dirt and scratches too, isn’t that right, Kagehira?
Mika: Wh-wha, what’re ya lookin’ to me fer?
Raffaello: “Fufu. Then, although it’d require traveling a considerable distance, I’d like it if we could go to the cellar of my—No, your villa.
“There’s something I’d like to tell you there.”
Shu: Right back to the building we came from, huh? That’ll take quite some time, you know.
Raffaello: “Of course. I'll wait. No, I’ve always been waiting so long.”
“Just a little more time of futile waiting on top of that... I think nothing of it.

To survive the AO3 down time, want to write about Al sending letters to Ed while he's traveling to Xing? (Bonus points if Ed's doing something interesting too ^^)
Hi :D I don't know if this is what you imagined when you sent me this ask... but I had a surprising amount of fun with this! So... here goes nothing <3
+-+-+
Dear Brother,
It’s so good to hear from you! Who knew West Aerugo could be this interesting? Just don’t drink too much – and tell Darius and Heinkel that I miss them too! As for how I am doing… Xing is a lot more different than I expected it to be. From what I can tell, people just aren’t as tall as I’m used to – and that even though I am no longer as tall as I used to be! Ling invited me to stay at the palace, but I don’t think court life is for me. At least not yet. I joined a caravan to the northeastern part of the country instead, pretending I don’t know that Lan Fan is following me. The food is utterly delicious, and one of the old men in my group told me that the Tsang clan has developed a type of alkahestry that allows them to grow trees taller than some mountain peaks. It might be worth checking out.
Until your next letter reaches me
Alphonse
~
Brother,
Why did Brigadier General Mustang sent me a telegram informing me you started an international conflict on the Beruskan border? I don’t care how interesting their research is and how nice their pubs, we’re no longer the kind of people who just start chaos and let someone else deal with it. I hope this letter finds you in good health and not in a jail cell – and please excuse my language in the telegram I’ve send ahead. I love you, you idiot.
Alphonse
~
[Telegram sent on the 12th of December 1923 from Xio, Tsang Territory of the Great Imperial Nation of Xing, to Balka, Aerugo-Beruskan border facility]
YOU ABSOLUTE FUCKING IDIOT .stop. IF YOU GET ARRESTED I WILL .stop. PERSONALLY HUNT YOU DOWN .stop. YOU BETTER NOT BE IN .stop. ANY TROUBLE
~
Brother,
While I am glad to know that you are no longer held by Aerugan officials on suspicion of terrorism and counterintelligence, I do beg of you to lay low for a while. My blood pressure won’t stand for another incident like this. But while you were busy arguing for better accommodations in a jail cell, I did uncover something interesting. The Tsang clan has grown trees big enough to build houses in. The stories weren’t lying – this has to be some sort of alkahestry. But it feels different from the things Mei taught me. Oh, which reminds me: I finally figured it out! I can read the Dragon’s Pulse – and these trees are bursting with life’s energy. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say it feels almost magical.
Best wishes and happy returns
Alphonse
~
Dear Brother,
Yeah, that’s why I said ‘if I didn’t know better’ – I am aware that magic isn’t real, you didn’t have to scream at me for half your letter just to make a point. Then again, it is in character for you to make a big deal out of something so small. (please don’t waste your next letter on another rant just because of a little joke between brothers) I think I’m going to move on from the Tsang territory over to the Ang clan – there’s been some unrest because of the policies Ling implemented recently, so I might have to travel by foot. Don’t worry if I don’t write for a bit. Address your letters to Lan Fan and she’ll get them to me once I settle down again – I’ll tell you my next mailing address as soon as I know where I’ll be staying.
Tell Winry I said Hi!
Alphonse
~
Ed,
It’s okay. It was just a tiny bit of poison. I’m fine.
Alphonse
~
Dear Brother,
If you come to Xing just to be an overprotective idiot following me around, DON’T. Please stay where you are – I have everything under control. I need to finish my research here. I think I’m getting somewhere. I can’t tell you via my letters because I fear someone might read them along the way and realize what I’ve just figured out but… this could change the world. Not that I actually plan on ever telling anyone just how far the scope of this reaches. Not even you. I hope you can understand why I am doing this. And don’t worry for my life – Mei joined me on my travels and her fighting skills are beyond what I could have hoped for.
Love
Alphonse
~
Brother,
The Ang Clan was very welcoming, and their food was otherworldly, but I don’t think we’re going to stay here for much longer. The more I look into the Dragon’s Pulse and its possible connection to tectonic movements, the more confusing it gets. I meant what I said in my last letter – but maybe I don’t have to worry quite as much. There is a very real possibility that the two of us might be the only people who could ever even understand what is happening here. By Truth, life is just a never-ending quest of wonders, isn’t it?
Take care.
Alphonse
~
[Telegram sent on the 26th of April 1924 from the Imperial Palace, Great Imperial Nation of Xing, to Munk, Hala Territory east of Creta]
I AM SO SORRY EDWARD .stop. BUT WE’VE LOST CONTACT .stop. WITH ALPHONSE .stop. SOMEWHERE BETWEEN NANNING .stop. AND LIPU I AM SO .stop. SORRY YHELY
~
[Collection of unsend letters by Alphonse Elric]
Ed,
I don’t think I’ll get a chance to post this letter. Someone’s following me and Mei. I told her to get back to the palace or make contact with Lan Fan, but it might be too late. There’s something going on with alkahestry here – I think it’s only happening in the northeastern part of the country. It’s nothing like what we went through, I promise, but in the wrong hands… it could kill thousands. I am so sick of this art we’ve dedicated our lives to being used to ruin it instead. They could heal and flourish, but no… you know what the worst part is? I’m the one who discovered how to use it as a weapon.
I love you. I miss you.
Alphonse
[and]
Ed,
I think they’ve got Mei. What am I supposed to do? I don’t know. Dammit, I won’t send this letter, but at least it feels as if I can talk to you. As long as I write it down, you’re not gone – what did you say you were doing the last time we’ve talked? I think you were in Munk. Isn’t that a seaside town? Do you think there is alchemy connected to the sea? The tides? That would be insane. Is that what you were researching? I hope it went well. You can’t even swim, idiot. I hope you didn’t drown.
I miss you.
I miss Mei.
I think I messed up.
Al
[and]
Ed,
They won’t get me. And they’ll pay for whatever they did to Mei. I’m getting her back. I’m doing what is right.
Please don’t hate me for this.
Alphonse
[and]
Ed,
They won’t be a problem any longer. I took care of them. I’m so sorry. I did what I had to do to survive. But now blood is staining parts of the Duyun forest, and only some of it is mine. I won’t ever tell you this in person, but this is my confession. I broke our oath – I hope I can make it up to you by coming home.
Al
~
[Telegram sent on the 5th of August 1924 from the Imperial Palace, Great Imperial Nation of Xing, to Kanda, Independent Republic of Ishval]
WE FOUND ALPHONSE .stop. OR RATHER HE FOUND US .stop. BLOODY AND THIN .stop. BUT ALIVE PRINCESS .stop. MEI IS WITH HIM . stop. THEY ARE ALIVE YHELY
~
Dear Brother,
Thank you. Thank you for traveling all the way to Xing. Thank you for waiting for me. Thank you for being there for me when I came back. Thank you for listening. Thank you for leaving. Thank you for letting me keep some of my secrets.
I love you.
Alphonse
~
Dear Brother,
I think I might take on a journey across the ocean – just to see where the world ends, and the future begins. There are so many secrets out there still left to discover. So many things unknown. I’m definitely writing it all down. At least the good stuff. The things we can use to change the world for the better. And I do think that it’s possible – for things to get better, that is. I won’t be gone forever. In a few years I might just be ready to play politics at the court next to Mei and Ling. But until then? I crave another adventure.
Best wishes
Alphonse
.
..
.
Hey Al,
Mind if I join you?
Ed

Hello Koopalings, I will experience a change of school after the holidays. Do you have any advices for me?
Roy: "Be confident, and pretend you belong. If you walk in thinking you fit in and know what you're doing, you will fit in and know what you're doing."
Iggy: "Find out if you're eligible for a 504 plan. And if you are, then take FULL advantage of it!!"
Ludwig: "Iggy, no-"
Iggy: "You're one to talk! Luds completely got out of doing gym class because of his bladder issues."
Ludwig: "True... And I'm allowed to be late for class or leave early if I need to so I can make it to the restroom. But 504s are usually for things like autism or ADHD. It is a good idea to see if you're eligible for one so it can help better accommodate your learning, but... Please don't "take advantage of it" like Iggy said."
Wendy: "Join sports or clubs or whatever... I obviously don't do those, but they can help you be more "involved" and get more friends. Or some shit."
Morton: "Being part of an extracurricular activity for multiple years and being dedicated to it shows that you are capable of commitment. Colleges like commitment! That's why people who do sports are more likely to get scholarships!"
Wendy: "Even if you don't REALLY want to join something, maybe go to it once and give it a chance. Who knows, maybe you might like it? And if you stick around, it could help you in the long run."
(I'm not including Larry, Lemmy, & Jr for this because they are in elementary school and don't know anything about this stuff-)
Rango: "Oh. Easy. If it's a new school and you don't know anybody, then wait until people come up to you to talk and befriend them. You don't wanna disturb people who are just trynna chill, do you? I hated that when kids did that to me and my buddies-"
Spewart: "Befriend your teachers! They will do so much for you if they like you!! If you're lucky, they might, ahem, improve your grade for no particular reason. And my old English teacher used to randomly get me sodas from the teacher's lounge just because! It was wonderful! You certainly don't have to be a suck-up. You don't even have to be a good student! But if you're simply kind, the road becomes much easier!"
Topper: "That's especially true of the disciplinary teachers. Like the ones that work in detention? I, believe it or not, was actually a good kid most of school. But I got into fights every once in a while... There's been multiple times I should've been EXPELLED, but because I was pals with the guys working in there, I got let off with a warning."
Hariet: *Inhales*
Rango, Spewart, & Topper: "Oh no-"
Hariet: *Begins a five-hour lecture about the importance of education and college and the future and blah blah blah*
Peasley: "I've had to move back and forth between the Darklands and Beanbean Kingdom for most of my life. I've also had to switch schools a lot. And what I've learned is... Don't make up cool stuff about your life in your other school. A, nobody cares, and B, nobody believes you anyways."

Most of the buildings in New Asgard had been built long before the Æsir arrived. They were old Midgardian constructions of wood and stone, and while they had been maintained in good condition, it had been years since they had truly been occupied. As such, much of the work to be done in New Asgard revolved around renovating the existing structures to better accommodate the occupants or to serve new functions. New buildings were planned as well, but the most immediate needs were being met with what was currently available.
Loki and Thor were standing in front of one such building, discussing plans for its future with one of the current inhabitants, an Asgardian tailor. It had originally been some sort of shop with a living quarters upstairs, and he hoped to use it for that purpose again, once the family downstairs had found a new living space. The conversation seemed to be reaching a conclusion and Loki's attention wandered.
Out the corner of his eye he caught sight of a shadow meandering down the street. Upon closer inspection it was a large black dog, following after its master. You were carrying an oblong object wrapped up in heavy brown paper, observing the buildings around you and occasionally looking down at a note in your hand. You didn't notice the brothers and Loki didn't try to draw your attention. Despite recent revelations he still wasn't interested in encouraging your interaction. Thor, however, had no such reservations. He had turned to Loki to say something and followed his brother's line of sight, spotting you himself. He waved a hand overhead and called your name, already stepping in your direction.
You looked up and smiled. "Boys!" Loki tried not to be irritated. Thor smiled wide. "You've come to see New Asgard?" The dog approached him and requested attention. Thor obliged. "Making a delivery." You gestured with the package in your hands. "I bumped into one of your people yesterday, Svala, she had mentioned needing a baking dish. I had this one laying around, it wasn't selling, so I told her I'd bring it by." That was a lie. Loki tilted his head slightly in curiosity. Thor was unaware. "That is very kind of you." You shook your head. "It's nothing. It might as well be of use to someone." You held up the note, which Loki could now see was a set of directions. "I'm just heading to her place. I'm sure I can find it myself but you had mentioned a tour?" "Yes!" Thor beamed. "We'll accompany you. There is much to see along the way."
And so Loki found himself following you and Thor through the streets of New Asgard. As you walked Thor pointed out this building and that, describing each one's place in the grand plan, occasionally demonstrating where a new structure would be built. You seemed to be genuinely interested, as always, nodding along and sometimes offering input or asking a question. Loki didn't have much to add to the conversation. He was pondering your lie.
The group arrived at its destination, the brothers stood back on the street as you approached the door and knocked. Loki was sure to listen closely as an Asgardian woman appeared at the door and smiled. "Lady Terna, so good to-" She paused for a moment, surprised to see Thor and Loki standing in the street. "Oh, the princes." You laughed and held out the package. "Yes they were kind enough to help me find my way. Delivery with a royal escort." Svala smiled and took it from your hands. "I can't thank you enough, this will be a great help." You put your hands up and shook your head. "It wasn't going to do me any good. Just taking up space." There it was again, the lie. Loki smirked slightly. You smiled stepped back from the door. "Better that it's put to use." The Asgardian nodded gratefully. "It will certainly be put to use. There are some recipes from home that couldn't quite be managed with what we had." She dipped her head. "Thank you again." "Thank you for taking it off my hands." You gave a wave then returned to the brothers as the door closed behind you. "Alright, where to now?" Thor motioned back down the street. "You should come to our home. It's not time to eat but we could have tea?" You nodded. "I could take some tea right now." "Excellent." Thor motioned for you to follow. "There's one more thing to show you on our way."
The three of you struck out down the street once more. You and Thor chatting as usual, Loki keeping to himself. Walking along a street on the edge of the town, Thor came a stop at an empty space. Here there was a large gap in the buildings, and beyond was an open field.
Thor spread his arms wide before the empty space. "This is where we'll build the hall." You surveyed the open space with Thor, nodding. "It's a good place." Thor stood quietly for a moment. "It will be good for our people. To have a place to gather, to celebrate." You smiled and placed a hand on his arm. "It's going to be great."
It was times like this when Loki felt most like a visitor, an observer in this world. His brother, the rest of the Asgardians, they experienced a loss that he had only witnessed secondhand. Despite living amongst the consequences it still often felt more like a story he was told rather than reality. He imagined his losses were equally foreign to them.
Thor patted your hand on his arm and nodded. "Let's have tea."
The group continued on its way through the streets of New Asgard and eventually reached the brothers' home. As Thor approached the door you spoke up "Is it alright for Ash to come in? He can stay outside if not." Thor smiled. "Ash is welcome. After all, Loki is allowed inside. Ash has much better manners." He shot Loki a grin as you covered your smile with your hand. Loki narrowed his eyes and smirked. "And he certainly has better hygiene than Thor, so I see no reason to object." That earned a laugh from you. "Alright, boys, no need to start a fight." Thor chuckled as he led you inside through the entrance hallway. He pointed toward the living room while walking through the opposite door to the kitchen. "Have a seat, I'll prepare the tea."
You made yourself comfortable on the couch. Ash did an investigative lap around the room before settling in at your feet.
Loki took a seat in an armchair. He peered towards the kitchen to see if Thor was sufficiently distracted. When he heard the sound of running water he turned to you, keeping his voice low. "You lied about the dish." You sat very still, keeping your face neutral as you met his gaze. "What makes you say that?" Loki scoffed. "I'm the God of Lies." "So? Am I supposed to believe Thor is aware of every bolt of lightning?" "No, but I'm certain he can recognize when one strikes before his eyes." You kept your face hard for a moment, seemingly weighing whether or not you believed him. Your decision must have fallen in his favor because your brow softened. "Don't tell anyone." Loki gave a satisfied smirk and sat back in his chair. "A trade. My silence for the truth." You sighed, defeated. "It wasn't taking up space. I could have sold it at the market any weekend." "Why the deception?" "It's easier to trade favors than accept charity. Svala wasn't going to take that dish for free unless it was also a benefit to me." "Why not sell her the dish? The powers-that-be have ensured every Æsir is given a stipend while they rebuild." You shrugged, leaning back. "I had something to give, so I gave it." "Resorting to trickery to do so." Now you wore a small smirk. "Surely the God of Lies wouldn't fault me for a little harmless trickery to get my way?" Loki seemed to consider this for a moment. "No, I suppose not."
Thor entered the room carrying a tray with three steaming mugs and placed it on the coffee table. You and Thor carried most of the conversation while you enjoyed your tea, though Loki did join in here and there. At one point Thor again gestured to your arm. "Please, friend, you must tell me how you came by that scar." You smiled. "Oh, have I not said? I was out walking on the beach one day and this massive eagle mistook me for a rabbit or something, snatched me up by the arm. He carried me for a half mile at least before he realized his mistake and let me go. Luckily I made a soft enough landing in the sand but his talons did a number on my arm." Even Loki allowed himself to smile. Thor laughed and shook his head. "I'm grateful for your safe landing." You smirked and took another sip of tea.
When the mugs were empty and the afternoon was waning you thanked the brothers for their hospitality and stood to leave. You gave Thor a hug and Loki was briefly worried he would be given the same treatment but you simply waved to him as Thor led you to the door.
Thor sat back down after you were gone. "I think she will be a great ally to the community." Loki gave a single nod. "I think you're right."

Living as an Extra in an Omegaverse novel
Side story Chapter 8
“Se-hyeon, here.”
When Se-hyeon entered the hotel, his parents, who were sitting in the lobby, stood up and waved.
“How did you get to Seoul?”
Although Se-hyeon was very happy, he was still confused about his parents' sudden visit to Seoul. When I called you last night to say hello, you didn't say anything...
“I got this...huh? Where did this go?"
As his mother searched through his bag, she stabbed his father in the side when she couldn't find what she wanted. Then my father cleared his throat and took out a thin, stiff paper envelope from his pocket.
"Here… ”
“When did you take it!”
“I tried to take care of it because you kept forgetting.”
“Then you should have said something and taken it!”
“I did it!”
As his mother's eyes sharpened, his father shrugged his shoulders. Se-hyeon felt like they needed to sort out the situation now, so he gently got between the two of them.
“You mean you received this?”
"Uh? Uh oh. Okay."
As if he had met his saviour, his father handed out an envelope to Se-hyeon to see for himself. Se-hyeon opened the stiff paper bag and immediately recognized what was inside.
“It’s a hotel stay voucher.”
It is also a suite room accommodation voucher. In addition, an invitation to a restaurant was included, and a point card that could be used like cash within the hotel was also included.
“Who gave it to you?”
Considering the amount of money that can be given as a gift, a person who can give this much is probably not a suitable relationship. At least a friend who has been together for a long time...
“The boss gave it to me.”
The boss or something?
“Boss?”
Se-hyeon realized something strange later. My parents were not currently looking for work. Since my father had surgery a few months ago, I was still trying to get my body back together.
So, is this the boss of the place you used to work at?
While Se-hyeon was thinking of several cases, his parents tilted their heads.
“You have a boss.”
“My boss?”
There is only one person who can be called Se-hyeon's boss…
"Uh?"
The voice that came every day came from behind and Se-hyeon reflexively turned his head. People's attention was naturally focused on the strong presence of a man walking across the lobby.
It's really difficult to look that handsome, but Shin Tae-oh did it well.
But why is it here? We broke up because we had plans today. Se-hyeon narrowed her eyes.
“It’s been a while since I saw you. How are you?"
Shin Tae-oh passed by Se-hyeon and greeted his parents.
"Yes. It's been a really long time. How long has it been since this, honey?”
While his mother was welcoming Shin Tae Oh, she suddenly asked his father.
“They saw me once when I was discharged from the hospital and again every time I visited the hospital, so the last time I went to the hospital was…”
While his father was counting the time of their most recent meeting, Se-hyeon's head was tilted to one side. He knew well that his father had been visiting the hospital periodically for several months.
But it's strange. How did you see Shin Tae-oh when your father visited the hospital?
“It seems really old, maybe because the seasons have changed.”
Thanks to Shin Tae-oh's return of words, my father responded right away, probably glad that he didn't have to worry any more.
“I see. I wonder when I first stepped on the threshold of fall like this.”
“You never know when it might get cold, so take a coat with you.”
Their conversation seems quite natural, but am I mistaken?
“By the way, boss, what is going on here?”
Se-hyeon lightly tugged on Shin Tae-o's arm, thinking that if things continued like this, it would just continue with everyday conversation.
"Ah… ”
Shin Tae-oh's eyes wandered here and there. What? Who are you looking for?
“How come Se-hyeon’s parents are here? Wow! My parents decided to come here too.”
Then, Shin Tae-oh suddenly started talking to himself.
So he was suspicious. It's even more suspicious because he's already bulking up even more.
Now that I often have meetings at the hotel, coming here no longer feels awkward, but Shin Tae-oh's face and body language are now suspicious.
“I came to use the gift my boss gave me.”
Se-hyeon's eyes narrowed further as his mother spoke with a confused look on her face.
“A gift? Ah! Yes. I gave you a gift.”
Shin Tae-oh couldn't see his eyes because he was covering his forehead as if he had forgotten.
Why is he like this? Seriously.
“But I thought it was next week, but it was today.”
If you're going to pretend you forgot, at least do it consistently.
Se-hyeon crossed his arms and looked at Shin Tae-oh. Shouldn’t we be honest now? It puts that kind of pressure on me.
Shin Tae-oh started to get nervous under Se-hyeon's pressure. Shin Tae-oh, who realized that the modification did not work and was trying to piece together the situation, immediately brightened. As if I had found a saviour...
"Mother."
At Shin Tae-oh's loud voice, Jeong Mi-jeong, who had come with her arms crossed around a man he had never seen before, looked back at him. She also noticed Shin Tae-oh and started coming towards him. Shin Tae-oh found his composure as if he had never been so nervous.
“I had a real promise.”
But Se-hyeon had nothing more to say. I just looked at Jeong Mi-jeong who was approaching me.
“Did you wait long?”
"Yes."
At Shin Tae-oh's honest answer, Jeong Mi-jeong closed her mouth for a moment and looked at him.
“I guess you missed me.”
It wasn't normal for Jeong Mi-jeong to interpret Shin Tae-oh's answer properly. When Jeong Mi-jeong turned her gaze to look at Shin Tae-oh and the people with her, Se-hyeon quickly greeted her.
"Long time no see."
“It’s been a while since we had dinner together last week.”
“...”
That's right, but...
Since Se-hyeon could not deny it, Shin Tae-oh intervened.
“Have you two met?”
“I heard it was near the headquarters, so we ate together.”
Even as Jeong Mi-jeong explained what happened, Shin Tae-oh was still staring at Se-hyeon.
“It just so happened to be like that.”
Se-hyeon acted like it was no big deal.
He wasn't someone I could easily meet in the past, but our relationship was getting closer little by little. As a result, it wasn't that difficult for him to eat a meal.
Jeong Mi-jeong willingly accepted Se-hyeon’s call.
“Hmm.”
But Shin Tae-oh still seemed to have something left to say.
In fact, Se-hyeon was also full of questions.
“And they are my parents.”
Se-hyeon, who thought it was important to finish the greeting, introduced his father and mother. After hearing Se-hyeon's introduction, Jeong Mi-jeong brought forward a middle-aged man who had his arms around her.
“Now that I think about it, Se-hyeon will be seeing you for the first time.”
The person I saw for the first time was right. But strangely... he looked familiar.
Se-hyeon, who was looking at the face of the middle-aged man standing with him, unconsciously turned his head to Shin Tae-oh.
"That's right. My father.”
“It’s fascinating.”
“This is Ahn Se-hyeon.”
Se-hyeon’s parents also greeted them.
“This is Ahn Baek-cheon. This person is Kim Hye-sun.”
"Nice to meet you."
As the parents exchanged greetings, I felt a strange new feeling. Se-hyeon looked around and poked Shin Tae-oh in the side.
“Is this really a coincidence?”
I whispered so that only he could hear me, and Shin Tae-oh tilted his upper body as if he couldn't hear me.
"Huh?"
“Is this a coincidence?”
“Then Se-hyeon, why would you happen to pass by the headquarters by chance?”
Se-hyeon was offended by Shin Tae-oh's wan smile and the way he spoke telling her to be honest.
“Where is the headquarters located? You can go anywhere if you travel around Seoul."
“Last week, Se-hyeon went out and had lunch only once...”
Not only does the secretary know the president's schedule, but the president also knows the secretary's schedule.
Instead of being embarrassed, Se-hyeon, who was cornered by Shin Tae-oh, showed his teeth.
“I saw the president in Seoul, but what did you think of my father in the countryside?”
When it comes to strange things, the rebuttal was that Shin Tae-oh didn't do more.
“Me? I’ve been feeling sick lately so I went to the hospital.”
“You’re going all the way there just because? And just in time for my father’s visit to the hospital?”
If I've said this far, isn't it time to be honest? Se-hyeon glanced at Shin Tae-oh.
“I am a friend who regularly goes to the hospital with me.”
Shin Tae-oh emphasized to the end that he was his friend at the hospital, and Se-hyeon looked at him with shocked eyes.
“Is there anything like that these days?”
“If you don’t have it, you can make it.”
Se-hyeon let out a laugh.
If you really are so transparent, how did you hide the fact that you went to the hospital so well?
“Where did you go because you were sick?”
“It’s… a kind of regular checkup.”
Shin Tae-oh's voice was weak. He's probably not doing his own regular checkup, but someone else's regular checkup.
“Just be honest, okay?”
“...How far?”
When asked to define the scope, Se-hyeon's mouth opened.
“I think we need to talk.”
He thought he knew Shin Tae-oh well, but surprisingly, there was still something he didn't know.
Se-hyeon, who was thinking about when would be a good time to talk, suddenly felt eyes on him and looked to the side.
"Uh… ”
Before I knew it, the parents who had exchanged greetings were looking at Shin Tae-oh and Se-hyeon.
“Since we met by chance, shall we have a meal together?”
The parents agreed to Shin Tae-oh's suggestion. Now, Se-hyeon gave up as if there was nothing he could do. Whatever it is, you can't just stand in the lobby forever.
“Have you made a reservation?”
"Yes."
To say it was coincidence is nonsense.

Winter Light - Chapter 2
Pairing:Tom Grant (Make Up) x OFC
Summary: Vanessa, a young cancer patient, arrives at a remote holiday park in Cornwall to wait out the rest of her days, but after a chance meeting with a park employee named Tom who's nursing a broken heart, Vanessa realizes life may not be done with her yet.
Warnings: slow burn, mostly fluff with some angst (main character has cancer, so can't do without angst altogether), swearing, serious illness (cancer), discussion of death/grief
A/N: for some reason I clearly remembered there were window boxes outside of Jade's caravan, but I just watched the movie again and saw she only had some potted plants. Oh well. Somebody could've added them after she left (this takes place about a year after the events in "Make Up").
Chapter 1
Tumblr media
A Welcomed Distraction
Vanessa told Shirley that her plan had changed unexpectedly and asked to rent her caravan long-term. Shirley seemed delighted to accommodate her, though Vanessa still had the nagging thought that those beady eyes saw more than she let on.
Vanessa took advantage of the strong signal inside the office to send off a few texts. "Have arrived safely, everything OK, phone signals patchy but will try to stay in touch, love you, Ness." That would keep them off her back for a while. She then asked how she could get to the nearby town for some supplies. "One of the staff can drive you," Shirley told her.
A few days later, Tom knocked on her door. "Shirley said you needed a lift into town," he said, holding up a set of keys.
Vanessa followed him down the path toward an old black truck with a bug-splattered windscreen, its bed full of odds and ends. "Yours?" she asked.
"It's Kai's. I'm picking up a few things for him."
Vanessa wondered why Kai couldn't have driven her himself, though she didn't say so. She had seen Kai around, an intimidating hulk with a craggy, unfriendly face and a ferocious German shepherd by his side. She wouldn't have liked a drive with him.
Tom followed the same route the cab took when it drove her to the park, and he was just as silent as the driver. Though it wasn't as awkward, the silence between them was heavy with so many things unsaid. This boy had seen her at her lowest; she had told him things she never told anybody else; it was hard now to come back from that and get to know each other normally. As Vanessa stared at the windscreen, she suddenly heard herself say, "Do you know windscreens are cleaner now because of insecticides?"
"What?" Tom didn't take his eyes off the road, but from his tone, it seemed he thought she was an alien of some kind.
"It's true. More insecticides, fewer bugs, cleaner windscreens."
"Isn't that good?"
"Not necessarily. Insecticides kill useful bugs too."
"Like bugs, do you?"
Vanessa shrugged. "I'm not passionate about them or anything, but I don't understand the hate for them either. I think they're neat."
"Wait 'til you've swallowed a mouthful and see how neat you think they are then," Tom said, and Vanessa chuckled with relief. The ice seemed to have been successfully broken. "You settling in all right?" he asked after a while.
"Still afraid I'm going to run away? I've put down a deposit, I'm not going to lose that."
This time he did glance at her, perhaps to see if she was serious or not. Vanessa put her poker face on. Tom's mouth twitched wryly.
"Maybe you can fix up the caravan a bit, that'll convince me," he said.
"Alas, home décor has never been my forte."
"I'll help."
She decided to play along. "Got lots of experience, have you? How long have you been working at the park anyway?"
"Three years. Maintenance, mostly, but reckon I could do some painting and decorating if necessary."
That surprised Vanessa. He looked around her age, in his late teens or early twenties at the most. That meant he must've started working here when he was still in school. "Used to come down every summer," he said when she mentioned it. "I wasn't going to come back this year, but Shirley called, saying they were short-staffed."
"Why weren't you coming back?" Vanessa asked, not noticing that Tom had suddenly shut his mouth hard.
He didn't answer. The silence had returned, more tense than before. Once again Vanessa wondered if it had anything to do with the mysterious Jade.
Tom dropped her off at the town center and agreed to meet her again in two hours. Vanessa went shopping, refilled her prescriptions, and even found a new book. She was flipping through it on a bench in the town square, trying to find some warmth from the late autumn sun that refused to shine, when Tom came back.
"Sorry I'm a bit late," he said. "Got you these." His arms were full of an assortment of flowering and leafy plants.
"What are they?" She only recognized the ivy.
"Ivy, heather, cyclamens, Christmas roses," he nodded at each pot. "For your window boxes."
So he had noticed the dead plants. Vanessa looked wistfully at the silvery green ivy, the purple heather, the crimson cyclamens, and the pure white Christmas roses. The colors were so vibrant after the uniform grays and browns of the sea and the sand, they almost blinded her.
"They're beautiful, but... I might not be around that long," she said. A slightly uncomfortable flicker in his eyes, but again, he didn't remark on it.
"You agreed to fix up the van. I'm holding you to that," he said. When Vanessa still hesitated, he added, "The bloke at the garden center said they'll do well in the cold and don't need much looking after. Consider them a house-warming gift." He pressed the pots into her arms. The soft petals brushed against her cheeks. She couldn't help but smile at him. He smiled back, and suddenly it was like the sun had come out after all.
***
Despite her initial hesitation, Vanessa soon found the plants a welcomed distraction. They gave her something to do, something to look forward to, a reason to get out of bed in the morning after a night full of pain and morphine. She took her time cleaning out the window boxes, filling them with the potting mix Tom also got her from the garden center, and arranging the plants into the most pleasing combinations. Sometimes, while she worked, she didn't even notice the pain.
Tom himself was becoming a welcomed distraction as well. He often walked past her caravan on his way to work in the morning or coming back from work in the evening. He never stopped, only nodded at her or said a quick hello, but Vanessa had the suspicion that he was checking up on her. She didn't have a chance to confirm her suspicion until one morning, after a particular bad night, she was stirred from her morphine-induced stupor by a persistent banging on her door. She dragged herself out of bed and opened the door, to find Tom on the other side.
"Oh thank Christ," he said, breathing a sigh of relief. "Thought you were..." He noticed her ashen face and the way she gripped the door frame. "You OK?"
"Overslept my beauty sleep," Vanessa mumbled.
"Looks like you need more of it," he said, quickly stepping inside and guiding her to the sofa, where she collapsed.
"How dare you." She tried to laugh, but only a dry croaking sound emerged.
"Sure you're all right?"
"Mmm." It took too much effort to nod. "Just need to stay off my feet a bit."
"Can I get you anything?"
"Some medical-grade marijuana would be nice," she said, half joking.
"Marijuana I can get. Don't know about medical-grade though."
Vanessa opened an eye and peeked at Tom to make sure he wasn't winding her up. He looked solemn as a judge. She gave a weak chuckle. "Better not risk it, then." The pain was manageable now, only the sleepless night was taking its toll on her. Tom still hovered over her. "You'll be late for work."
"You shouldn't be alone." He didn't add "when you die", but Vanessa understood it. She glanced at him. He was looking at the floor, chewing his lips, trying to hide his concern. She felt a little annoyed, and then felt guilty for feeling annoyed. She was sure her caravan wasn't on his usual route to work, yet he went out of his way every day just to say hi to her, to make sure she was all right. Her heart melted a little at that.
"I'm not going to die today, if that's what you're worrying about," she said, burying her head in a cushion. He mumbled an uncertain "Okay," then she heard the soft click of the door as he left.
He came back that evening, bringing a steaming pot. "Made you some stew."
Vanessa, who had been so nauseous that she could only manage to nibble a few crackers, eyed the pot warily. "What's in it?"
"Snips, snails, and puppy dog tails," Tom said. When Vanessa raised her brow quizzically at him, he grinned. "My mum used to say that when I was being fussy. It's just potatoes and veg and beef." Then he added apologetically, "Do you eat meat? Sorry, forgot to ask."
"I do," she said. She got a whiff of the pot and suddenly was ravenous. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to sound fussy. It smells delicious. Thank you."
Tom ladled the stew into a bowl.
The first spoonful sent warmth throughout her body, almost drowning out the nagging, ever-present pain in her bones. "You made this?" she asked, scooping up another.
"Don't sound so surprised," Tom snapped back with a laugh.
"Where'd you learn how to cook?"
"Single working mum. I had to cook if me and my little sister wanted to eat." Vanessa was quiet, thinking of her own spoiled childhood. Her mother hadn't even allowed her in the kitchen, let alone cook.
She had almost finished the bowl before remembering to ask Tom, "You're not eating?"
"Nah, it's for you. It'll keep in the fridge. If you don't mind eating stew for several days, that is."
"I don't mind," she said, touched by his thoughtfulness.
But she didn't actually have to eat stew for several days. Tom kept coming back with more hot food until Vanessa insisted on paying him, at least for the ingredients. He seemed reluctant at first, but when she refused to let him cook for her anymore, he relented. And that became their routine. In the morning, Tom would pass by her caravan, and Vanessa would wave at him from the window or the front door, where she was working on the window boxes. In the evening, he would drop in and cook for both of them. His dishes were nothing fancy, and some of his food combinations sounded downright bizarre (who had ever heard of a spaghetti sandwich?) but for Vanessa, who had been living on canned soups and crackers since she arrived at the park, what he could do with a bit of mince, a can of tomato, and some herbs and spices was nothing short of a Michelin-starred restaurant meal.
She felt bad about letting Tom do all the work while she lounged around, but the kitchen was so tiny and her pain-ridden legs were so clumsy that the one time she tried to help, she ended up sloshing a pot of boiling potatoes over Tom's hands.
"You're such a menace," Tom laughed, as Vanessa, in a barrage of apologies, held his hands under the cold tap. "Back to the sofa with you."
"But I wanted to help," Vanessa said, trying to ignore the way their fingers were intertwined.
"Fine, entertain me then. That counts as helping."
She reluctantly disentangled her hand from his and returned to the sofa. Putting on some music seemed too lazy, so she picked up the book she had left on the table. "How about I read you something?" she asked. Tom shrugged, and she flipped through the book until something caught her eyes.
"OK. This one's appropriate:
The timeless waves, bright, sifting, broken glass, Came dazzling around, into the rocks, Came glinting, sifting from the Americas.
To possess Aran. Or did Aran rush to throw wide arms of rock around a tide That yielded with an ebb, with a soft crash?
Did sea define the land or land the sea? Each drew new meaning from the waves' collision. Sea broke on land to full identity.
Well, kind of. We're in Cornwall, not the Aran."
"That's beautiful," Tom said, pausing his cooking to listen. "What is it?"
"A poem, by Seamus Heaney. You know him?"
Tom shook his head. "Not much time for poetry in Derby. Sounds lovely though."
Vanessa bent her head down, glad that Tom had his back to her so he couldn't see her quickly heating cheeks. She had picked the poem because it was about the sea. She didn't think about how it was a love poem as well. How stupid of her. It was right there in the title, "Lovers on Aran". Hopefully Tom had simply appreciated the beautiful words and not thought much about their deeper meaning.
"He's one of my favorite poets," she said, to get her mind off her blunder. "I was going to uni to study poetry, but then I got diagnosed and... that was the end of that."
"I thought about going to uni too. Maybe in Derby, so I can stay close to mum and Clare. Was saving up for it, actually," Tom said as he took the shepherd's pie off the hob. The caravan had no oven, but that didn't stop him. Vanessa hadn't even known that you could make shepherd's pie without an oven.
"What happened?"
"Nothing," Tom shrugged. "Just didn't see a point to it."
Vanessa had noticed that Tom tended to become cross whenever their conversation veered toward the future. It was as if he didn't want to think too far ahead, wishing to live in the present only. That she could certainly understand. She just didn't understand why he would feel that way. Most of the time she would let it go and change the subject. That day, however, she felt like challenging him.
"So what, you're going to faff around here, doing maintenance work for the rest of your life?" she asked.
"What's wrong with that?" Tom was getting defensive now; the faint scar on his forehead, which he told Vanessa was from a childhood accident, turned bright red.
"Nothing. But you have choices. You can plan..."
"Thing about planning is, something always happens to ruin it. You of all people should know that."
Vanessa's face fell. "Cheap shot," she mumbled. She was only gratified to see that Tom also seemed to realize he'd said the wrong thing. He put his fork down and reached across the table for her hand, patting it.
"Sorry."
Vanessa continued to glower at him, trying not to show how good his warm hand felt over hers. "OK, you're forgiven," finally she said. "But only because how good this shepherd's pie is."
They didn't talk much about the future after that. Instead, talked about their childhood, about Tom coming down to Cornwall every summer and Vanessa growing up in Surrey, and their schooldays, which, when you were just out of school, seemed like yesterday and yet so far away at the same time. Vanessa didn't talk about her family, but she liked to listen to Tom talk about his dad, a builder who died of a heart attack when Tom was nine, his mum, and his little sister, Clare, born after their dad died, whom Tom seemed to dote on.
"Do you miss him, your dad?" Vanessa asked.
"Sometimes." Tom's voice was steady, but he was misty-eyed.
"It must've been hard, him dying so sudden like that."
"Yeah. Mum never gets over it, really. I don't think she even minds him dying much, just that we never got to say goodbye."
Vanessa's thought wandered to her own family.
"Wish I could tell my family that."
"What?"
"That it's OK to say goodbye."
Tom gave her a long look. "Why couldn't you?"
"There's no point. They wouldn't listen. I was born into the most dramatic family in all of Great Britain," Vanessa said with a mirthless laugh.
And, as if the floodgates had opened up, she told him everything about her family. How they had always been overprotective of her, because she was the youngest. Her brother and sister were much older - Miles by twelve years and Julie by nine - and both had left home when she was young, so her parents treated her almost like an only child. She had always felt guilty about it. It had only gotten worse after her diagnosis. Her mum quit all her hobbies and dragged Vanessa to every treatment center she could find. Julie, who was working in Manchester, took a job closer to Surrey so she could help out. They were walking on eggshells around her, alternating between sorrowful tears and a forced cheerfulness that she found even worse than the sorrow. Things had come to a head at Miles's wedding back in June. Vanessa had fainted in the middle of the ceremony and had to be taken to the ICU. Miles and his wife, Becca, had to put their honeymoon on hold because it had seemed touch and go for a while. They had been very gracious about it, but Vanessa couldn't forgive herself. "After that, I decided to leave," she told Tom. "I don't want my illness and my death to take over their lives."
What she didn't say was that everything her family did was a constant reminder of her impending death, and she couldn't take it. That was why she'd run away. But she couldn't admit it, let alone tell Tom that. Not after she'd put up such a front about not being afraid to die, like a child who kept telling herself there was no boogeyman under the bed.
"Maybe you could still try telling them," Tom said. "Again. Louder. Can't expect people to read your mind."
Vanessa looked at him curiously. When she first met him, he just seemed like a lad, albeit a cute one, but with not much depth. Yet here he was, pointing things out in such a simple, straightforward way that she couldn't help but to see the truth in them.
Despite such heavy talk, though, the thought of death was almost absent from Vanessa's mind during those cozy evenings. The pain was still there, but it was only a faint throb, easily ignored. It only came back when Tom left, but the smile he gave her as he said goodbye was enough for her to face it.

Now that I have a LITTLE more time, care to tell me a little about "Fae and Brownie Draft 4 (JMR edit)" from the WIP Files game? <3
It's been a while so here a link to your post LINK
Oh, thanks! It has been a while and this is my most recent ask/mention but it's the easiest to answer right now (I will get to reblogging/doing all those heads up 7 up games I promise).
So, Fae and Brownie is actually done. It needs a better title but it is all written and I used my tax refund to have it professionally edited (JMR are the initials of the lady I hired). I actually originally planned to make it a series like Ivy and Bean, so every subsequent book would be "Fae and Brownie do X," but now I think it will be a standalone. Unlike basically everything else I write, it is not SFF but a realistic middle grade kids' book.
To go into a little more detail than I did in my intro post, Fae is 10 years old and autistic and ataxic (a physical balance/coordination disability that I have a variation of) and the ONLY kid at school to be nice to her is the new kid, Brownie (who may or may not have ADHD, you decide). Then Fae promptly gets in trouble for a semi-violent meltdown when she's pushed too far and is suspended for a week. She has one fabulous day free of school, and then her parents drop it on her that the aunt she hasn't seen in years is getting divorced and moving in with them. Aunt Lillian doesn't get along with her sibling-in-law, Fae's parent she calls Kiki, for political reasons Fae doesn't really understand.
To put off the inevitable struggle with change, Fae is allowed to go to a sleepover at Brownie's house the first night Aunt Lillian shows up, which leads to a week of adventure, friendship, accommodations, and realizing that even adults might need to learn some things.
This is one of my favorite excerpts:
Now Ms. Luna is on the floor in front of me, bent down like adults do to when they talk to little kids. Not 10-year-old kids, except they still do it to me. Mama says that if I stand up tall and smile and talk to people using the big words I do at home, they won’t think I’m like a little kid. I think she doesn’t understand school.
“Fae, we’re going to work on spelling worksheets. Can you come back to your desk, please?”
Ms. Luna doesn’t look angry. She doesn’t look sad. She doesn’t look anything. But I’m still scared to say no, because that can get me in trouble sometimes.
“Fae, come on. I know you like spelling, and I need you to participate, ok?”
I wonder if teachers ever get annoyed when they’re stuck with the really weird kids.
She won’t go away until I use words, so I say, slowly and carefully, “I want to stay here.”
“I know, but you’ve been here for over fifteen minutes and you can’t miss a whole lesson or you won’t know the words for Friday’s quiz.”
I’m tired. It’s been a long day. I peek over her shoulder and all the other kids are looking at me. Their eyes feel like lasers. I want to go home. And suddenly I’m angry, because it’s not fair. It’s not fair that I’m supposed to do as well as everyone else even though the world hurts me and not them. It’s not fair that people still talk to me like I’m in kindergarten. And it’s not fair that they always look at me like I’m a puzzle or a slug and not a person.
I hate being angry. My anger is red and liquid and fills me up until it overflows. I scream without meaning to. I want to scream “I hate you,” but the words are stuck in my throat, and that makes me even more angry. I know better than to throw things, but all I want is to do what I’m not supposed to. I want Ms. Luna to hurt like I do.
I was going to make a separate post for this later this week, but since this gives me the perfect chance to do it: I am looking for beta readers. It needs new title suggestions and some feedback on plot and flow, but shouldn't have any glaring holes or grammar issues. I'd be happy to do a beta swap if someone prefers. My only requests are that you have some interest in reading children's literature and see this as a disability empowerment story and not one about her learning to "be good" (a disclaimer I always include now after a really weird comment I got the first time I tried to move towards publishing this story).

PROMPT #20: Hamper
Sigrid found something oddly amusing in the Merlose pulling up to dock at the Parrock: a grand, old-fashioned airship, wooden hull and all, dwarfing the other vessels in their own port. Hers served a far different purpose than Leofard's manacutters, of course, and his band of pirates could quite literally fly circles around her if they so desired - but neither could they convey anything larger than a treasure chest back to their hideout. Not for the first time, Sigrid marveled at the sturdiness of the ship that had seen her and her crew through nearly two decades of adventures.
There was still a deep scratch across the transom where Ashelia Riot had backed into the hangar in Ul'dah - but given that she had done so after piloting dozens of Thavnairian refugees to safety, Sigrid could not entirely hold it against her.
A Redbill guard hailed her as she made her approach, then, upon seeing that she was the only one above deck, caught the mooring line she tossed and secured it on her behalf while she killed the engines.
"Captain," he said with a nod.
She nodded back in greeting. "Is Captain Leofard occupied?" She could only hope that her prior dealings with him and his crew around the Mhachi artifact - and her subsequent role in keeping Radlia off the warpath in the moons that had followed - would grant her some measure of honesty.
Sure enough, the guard replied, "Not at all. This time of the evening, reckon he's enjoying his supper."
"My thanks. Permission to enter freely?"
The guard shrugged, which she chose to interpret as a compliment.
Further into the Parrock, past a clothesline upon which everyone's underwear had been strung up for drying, Sigrid came upon Leofard and a small handful of his crew at a spot overlooking the clear eastern sky. Later, once the last vestiges of sunlight had receded, it would be a perfect night for viewing stars. Sigrid had noticed more meteors in the sky of late, though she kept forgetting to ask Ansei whether they were a natural phenomenon or a side effect of the Final Days taking place in other parts of the star; either way, as far north and west as they were, the Redbills would have little to fear of blasphemies for the time being.
For another few weeks, at least.
"Why, it's Nan!" Leofard exclaimed.
"Call me that again," Sigrid warned him, "and I'll throw your unmentionables back there to Bismarck."
The guard had been half correct. Leofard looked to have eaten along with his crew, judging by the empty bowls scattered around the campfire; most of those gathered, the captain included, held bottles of drinks tight in their fists.
Leofard raised his own hands in surrender, and in the firelight, Sigrid could clearly make out a priceless Dalmascan vintage, bearing a label with a Mhachi cat. "Fine, fine. To what do we owe the pleasure, Captain?"
"Not a pleasure, I'm afraid: the Final Days."
Utata coughed mid-swig. "Oh gods. It's already getting closer?"
"Knew more of us should have stayed sober," one of the deckswabs grumbled.
Rather than ponder the Redbills' contingency plan for escaping burning skies in a fleet of one-rider vessels, intoxicated or otherwise, she pressed on. "Closer for some than for others, hence why I've come. I trust you all remember Livvy Ahtynwyb?"
They all nodded.
"She's going off on some mission to try and save this star of ours." Even now, the words felt silly coming from her mouth, not least of all for the mad stirrings of hope they inspired. "What will turn the tide for her now is a rare mineral: adamantite. I've located some in an Allagan wreck off to the west of the Diadem, and I have room in our hold to accommodate a good percentage of the expected yield." And here comes the ask. "But as grand as the Merlose is, I won't be able to reach the Warrior of Light in Sharlayan without exerting the engines past what they can take, and I certainly can't count on their dock staff to unload it all in a timely manner."
"And," added Leofard, "you need strong backs to carry the stuff off from the sky island in the first place."
She couldn't deny that, either. While she had done her utmost to keep her posture intact over the years, her core strength was not what it once was.
"Alright." Leofard set down his bottle of Dalmascan red, heedless of how it wobbled beneath a misplaced stone, and jumped to his feet. "We do this, and I get to call you Nan for a year."
"Radlia calls me 'Cousin,' so I would reconsider - unless you'd like to be kin with her."
The crew burst into laughter as Leofard visibly recoiled, and not even Sigrid could suppress a smug grin. There was truly no greater victory among sky pirates than turning another captain's crew against them for a joke.
"Fine!" To the Redbills, he shouted, "Go on, laugh it up! I'll put you all down for two shifts of hauling Allagan rocks!"
"Excellent," Sigrid said. "I expect to see you all bright-eyed come morning."
Before Leofard could protest any further, she lifted his bottle from the earth and carried it off with her to the Merlose.

Grace & Nancy & Teddy & Gia Pt.2
Gia: And let me guess, you haven’t slept with her yet?
Teddy: It’s irrelevant
Gia: No, it’s entirely irrelevant and I’ve hit the nail on the head
Teddy: You don’t know the first thing about this
Gia: Oh, please
Gia: all boys your age are the same
Teddy: I’m surprised you can remember
Gia: Gosh, thanks
Gia: I’m actually thrilled my teenage years are well behind me though
Teddy: I’m not, you used to be somewhat bearable
Gia: If only I could extend the compliment to you, Teds
Teddy: I should insist upon being called Theodore if you’re going to be this rude & boring at the same time
Gia: Now my family has left, you’re free to kick and scream about whatever demands you want
Gia: Heaven knows why dad puts up with it, or how
Teddy: What else is he going to do, take off his [a boujee brand of belt that this dad would wear]?
Gia: I don’t know, insist you move into accommodation and get a job to cover your bills like everyone else?
Teddy: Ha ha
Gia: Seriously, if you’re that upset, why don’t you talk to mum, seeing as you two love your cosy chats
Teddy: I already know what she would say
Gia: Is she sober for this opinion or
Teddy: Sober or smashed the opinion is no-one is good enough for me & I don’t want to hear it right now
Gia: Hmm, fair point
Gia: Coddling is the last thing you need
Teddy: Nonsense is the last thing I need, she’s perfect for me
Gia: Is she on your course?
Teddy: Don’t be absurd, you’re well aware my course is tedious
Gia: Okay, so you met her in the SU?
Teddy: No, why are you OBSESSED with this being a uni meet cute?
Gia: You’ve just started… where else are you meeting some random girl?
Teddy: Everyone besides you has a life outside the classroom while they’re there
Gia: You go to the same clubs and the same parties, only Uni has changed your social scene
Teddy: It doesn’t matter where or when or how I met her
Teddy: What disorder do you have, seriously?
Gia: Excuse me for taking an interest in your melodrama
Teddy: It’s over, there’s no reason to trouble yourself
Gia: So you had to ruin lunch over nothing, cool
Teddy: Lunch had to be ruined regardless
Gia: Why, and what is wrong with YOU, more to the point
Teddy: How long do you have before you have to take your husband to the bathroom or put him down for his nap?
Gia: You’re seriously unfunny, like anti-funny
Teddy: I’m hilarious, it’s your life choices that aren’t funny
Gia: I fell in love and you’ll have to get over that eventually
Teddy: No you didn’t, be honest with yourself
Gia: It’s so cruel of you to doubt me
Gia: I wouldn’t be married and planning a family if I wasn’t, would I
Teddy: With this family’s track record, it’s a given you would
Gia: They’re in love, and they were
Gia: Whatever inappropriate things mum has told you whilst sloshed is over-emotional exaggeration
Teddy: You should try having some emotions
Gia: I have the normal amount of emotions, thanks
Teddy: An overwhelming amount of pity, for yourself & that old man, is normal, yes, but there are others available
Gia: You’re the one feeling sorry for yourself
Teddy: Yeah because I’ve lost something really important
Gia: Important how?
Teddy: I’ve never felt like this before, I didn’t know I could
Gia: Oh, then that’s tough
Gia: What happened?
Teddy: I don’t want to talk about it, everything has gone wrong
Gia: If you did something wrong, you should fix it
Teddy: I love how you assume it’s my fault
Gia: If it wasn’t, you’d want to complain about it
Teddy: She doesn’t think she’s good enough for me
Gia: Oh, Lord
Teddy: & naturally she didn’t appreciate when I called out her insanity
Gia: It sounds like she has terrible self-esteem, you’re probably better off out of it
Teddy: I just want her to trust me, I’m right, she’s wrong
Gia: That’s not really how that works is it
Teddy: It should, she’s fantastic when she’s not losing it & we could be such an incredible couple
Gia: Have you told her all that?
Teddy: Yeah, but she isn’t convinced, like you, she thinks I only care about sleeping with her & then I’ll leave
Gia: Your reputation must proceed you, then
Teddy: It isn’t my fault, I’m trying extremely hard to be everything she wants
Gia: Some girls are just messed up, you don’t know what she’s been through before, that isn’t your fault and you can’t fix
Teddy: She’s been through a lot, I know that
Gia: There you go, then she’s going to be a lot, sadly
Teddy: Is that how he describes you?
Gia: No
Gia: I haven’t been through a lot
Teddy: Are you sure? It feels like you’re bringing a lot of projection to this instead of focusing on the girl I love
Gia: Wow, love, is it
Teddy: You’re being immediately patronising
Gia: I’m not, it’s just very unexpected
Gia: and you’re telling me nothing, I can only focus on the little you’re saying
Teddy: Unexpected for you? How do you think I felt when it happened?
Gia: I’m familiar with the feeling
Teddy: She doesn’t want me, she’s too afraid
Gia: You have to prove you’re not scary then
Teddy: I haven’t been, I can’t help it she’s intimidated by the fact I’m the full package
Gia: I doubt that’s what she’s afraid of…
Teddy: & I can’t prove I’m not going anywhere when she’s the one who’s running away from me
Gia: Girls are usually scared for their reputation, how they’ll look
Teddy: You’re mentioning that to have another dig at my reputation
Gia: Well, if she thinks you’re going to treat her however she’s heard, or that she’s the next story
Gia: I’m not surprised
Teddy: You want to take your turn being cruel, but you’re not very good at it
Gia: I’m trying to point you in the right direction
Teddy: Towards steering clear of her, you aren’t subtle either
Gia: Towards not being such a prick, if you want to start having serious, adult relationships
Teddy: You’re my sister, our relationship couldn’t be less serious or more childish, it isn’t the benchmark you should be using to try & measure any of my others
Gia: I know what you’re like in general
Teddy: Liar, you barely know who I am
Gia: Sure, I’ll stop trying to help you as it’s clearly not your fault, at all
Teddy: How many times? It isn’t
Teddy: I went above & beyond
Gia: It isn’t me you need to convince
Teddy: I can’t convince her, I told you
Gia: Then… get over it?
Gia: You can’t take it out on all of us
Teddy: You’re awful at this
Gia: What do you want me to say? I give you advice, you don’t want it
Teddy: Get over it isn’t advice, if I wanted tough love I’d go to my father
Gia: Did you even listen to anything I said before then?
Teddy: No, you aren’t helpful or comforting
Gia: You said you didn’t want to talk to mum right now
Teddy: You’ve got jokes again, neither is she, though it’s true she doesn’t make digs at me constantly like you have
Gia: I’m not going to baby you
Gia: It’s not proper heartbreak
Teddy: How would you know?
Gia: Because you haven’t even gone out with this girl
Teddy: When S dies it still won’t make you the heartbreak expert because everyone knows you won’t actually care
Gia: How dare you
Teddy: As I said before, you are clueless about my life, Gia
Gia: Yes and I’m remembering why I have no desire for it to be any different
Teddy: Please don’t feel the need to attempt change on my behalf, everyone also knows you only have the capacity to pretend you’re invested in one family at a time & his takes precedent while he holds the account details
Gia: Whoever this girl is, she’s made a lucky escape
Gia: Goodbye
Teddy: More projection? We can come up with a hand signal which isn’t a 👋 & free you, the parents will take you back, it’ll be okay
Gia: Grow up, seriously, everyone is tired of your shit
Teddy: I’m tired of yours, commit fully like J, it’s embarrassing he’s got more of a backbone than you
Gia: If you want to whine about your feelings, you’d be better off talking to him, actually
Teddy: Okay, now that comparison landed, finally, you’re getting somewhere
Gia: I’m not interested in any of this
Teddy: But I so miss the old you 💔
Gia: I have literally no idea what you’re talking about
Teddy: Well, it’s what happens when you’re brainwashed
Gia: By who, and for what?
Gia: If I’m just after his money, it would be a really poor decision from Seb, and that isn’t how he got rich
Teddy: I wasn’t giving him the credit
Teddy: JI started it, father dearest can be relied on for so few other things in this life
Gia: Just handing you a career and thus a living you absolutely will do nothing to deserve, you ungrateful brat
Teddy: Exactly, I can’t wait to squander it, there’ll be almost no greater joy
Gia: Enjoy living in poverty, idiot
Teddy: I can always marry an old man, follow in your footsteps
Gia: Don’t be stupid
Teddy: My point entirely, you have no idea I would
Gia: If you want to use Sunday lunch as an opportunity to come out, just try it
Gia: I’m sure mum will support you
Teddy: Maybe if it’ll guarantee you & your husband’s empty seats
Gia: That remains to be seen, no thanks to you
Teddy: There’s a saying about not being able to handle you at your worst & therefore not deserving your best, you should look it up
Gia: If you have a good side, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen it
Teddy: & I don’t doubt the man you married has yet to see one real side of you, but it’s none of my business apparently
Gia: Seb knows me better than anyone, that’s how it is meant to be
Teddy: Yeah, it is meant to be that way, I’m sorry for you it’s not, how terribly sad
Gia: You’re the sad one, go back to getting laid by other mindless idiots so I can talk to my parents in peace
Teddy: No, I’m a reformed character, you’ll have to carry on trying to talk over me
Gia: The adults just ignore you anyway
Teddy: They can’t ignore the elephant in the room, it isn’t the done thing even when he is only an in-law
Gia: You have no idea how the real world works
Teddy: & you do?
Teddy: you haven’t fully committed to what a turn on you find poverty, a part time marriage still counts as you staying rich
Gia: I don’t, that’s why I work hard and always have, another thing you have no idea about
Gia: You’re committed to being a waste of space, do it in your own life, I don’t have it in mine
Teddy: The Saint Gia thing is super tired
Gia: I don’t care, Teddy, I literally do not care
Teddy: Are you going to cry now? 🥺 Very grown up
Gia: That’s the opposite of what I just said
Gia: Go away
Teddy: I don’t want to
Gia: Tough
Teddy: You’re absolutely no fun
Gia: I’m not a children’s entertainer
Teddy: But you’ve got the 🐘 already, come on 🎪🤡
Gia: Sort out your own life so you get out of mine, you nuisance
Teddy: Aside from this romantic blip, the life I lead is charmed
Gia: And we’re all meant to ignore you’re living in denial
Teddy: Address your own denial first
Gia: My life is on the right track, yours isn’t even on the rails
Teddy: Being off the rails is fantastic, I just want you to be happy, G
Gia: I am happy, you need to believe me
Teddy: Say it like you aren’t holding up the Sunday papers with it
Gia: We aren’t all over-emotional like you and mum
Teddy: You mean you & father aren’t 🙄
Teddy: don’t be trying to embody him, it’s fucked up
Gia: I mean it’s very strange how in-depth you try to force these chats, I am happy, don’t be ridiculous
Teddy: You’re my sister, am I not allowed to care about you?
Gia: We don’t need to do this, on a Sunday afternoon, no, it’s too much
Teddy: You’re too sober
Gia: It’s a Sunday afternoon, I repeat
Teddy: Precisely 🥳
Gia: Some of us have to do more with our Monday than ponce about in some dossy lecture
Teddy: Which is why hair of the dog exists, for people like you
Gia: I’m fine, thank you, I’m not drowning my sorrows
Teddy: I don’t want to think about what she’s doing, that’s all
Gia: I’m sure she didn’t imagine you were having a family dinner so, it’ll probably be mutual
Teddy: What do I say, what do I do?
Gia: I don’t know the girl
Gia: Wait until you’re suitably unsober and tell her what you’ve told me, easing off on the none of it being your fault bit
Teddy: I could lie & tell her it’s all my fault
Gia: You could but that could sound like what it is, a lie
Gia: she might not appreciate that
Teddy: She would see through it, it would be typical her
Gia: Just, try to be honest, if you think something will cause an argument, maybe avoid that part
Teddy: BUT my talent is for causing arguments
Gia: Do you think she wants to have an argument?
Teddy: No
Gia: then try to refrain
Teddy: She’ll want a romantic gesture, she adores those
Gia: Oh good, is she overly emotional too…
Teddy: Nobody wants to date a robot, fuck perhaps
Gia: Yeah, okay, thank you
Teddy: She has the same amount of emotions I have, we have a lot more than that in common, but since you asked
Gia: Then I’m sure you’ll make up
Teddy: We have to, I can’t do this
Gia: You actually like her
Teddy: She’s special, I liked her immediately
Gia: Well, good luck, actually
Teddy: Good luck with your drain of a Monday, you’ll need it
Gia: Don’t concern yourself with my Mondays
Teddy: It’s fine, I won’t remember this convo by then
Gia: Sure
Teddy: Thanks for still being here
Gia: You’re being that concerning, obviously
Teddy: Love is difficult, that’s seriously not my fault
Gia: It can be
Teddy: I wish I was better at it
Gia: Is it your first time?
Teddy: Phrasing it in that way was utterly unacceptable, but yeah
Gia: Ugh, don’t be gross
Gia: because all I was saying is you can go easy on yourself
Teddy: No, I’ll lose her & I wouldn’t be able to bear it
Gia: It always feels like that
Teddy: She’s gone, it’s more than a feeling, it’s a fact
Gia: Bearing it, but everyone always does
Teddy: Everyone doesn’t love her, I do
Gia: Oh, Teds
Teddy: She is perfect, she literally is
Gia: You really should save all this for your romantic gesture
Teddy: I have to think of one first
Gia: How hard can it be, come on
Gia: You’re meant to be in love
Teddy: You’re marginally less awful at motivational speeches, cool
Gia: It’s more within my wheelhouse
Teddy: I’ll see you next Sunday, Gia
Gia: Laters
Teddy: [Send her the deets of this holiday you’ve literally booked rn immediately for y’all because that’s a good idea honestly, we’ll just have to hope your fam don’t ask questions because it doesn’t fit with the Grace vibe and you’d have to pretend you did it because you’re heartbroken until she’s back lol]
Nancy: [lbr, it’s not as if your fam is ever buying this Grace thing, they just think you’re being a moron, so it’s fine lmao]
Nancy: Are you just telling me how out of town you’ll be or…
Teddy: OR there’s a car waiting to take you to the airport
Nancy: You’re serious
Teddy: You know I am
Nancy: I didn’t put a ?
Nancy: and you’re going to be there, you aren’t sending me away so you get some peace and quiet
Teddy: What happens on this hol stays on this hol, so if you still wish it didn’t & you could throw me out again after, I’m making it super easy for you
Nancy: Of course that’s not what I want
Teddy: No risk to your heart or your new bed whatever you want
Nancy: You know what I want
Nancy: I can’t believe you’ve booked this
Teddy: You can’t believe I seriously need to be with you, but I do
Nancy: I believe you right now
Teddy: Are you going to get in the car & meet me here?
Nancy: Yes
Nancy: I just need to get everyone to leave first
Teddy: Rex will help you
Nancy: Oh, shit, I’ll have to call someone to look after him
Nancy: right, when is the flight?
Teddy: [Tell her, the vibe is clearly that it’s soon in that chaotic way of like you gotta come now, but not like to the level we’re guaranteeing she’ll miss it] & the next one is [whenever, like in case we do miss this because know what y’all are like tbh]
Nancy: That’s okay, it’s meant to be a challenge, I’m not going to turn it down or disappoint you
Teddy: What have you taken? Perhaps it’ll help too
Nancy: I’ll have to counteract [the uppers your vibe has clearly been to be wired and chaotic] so I get through security 😎
Nancy: At least I didn’t go the other way, I could’ve been passed out and missed this
Teddy: My next move would’ve been to crash the party & wake you
Nancy: The door is open
Nancy: I might just call the feds and leave, it’s only the dregs here at this o’clock, no one important
Teddy: I’ll call them, you get ready
Nancy: I’m gonna make Ava look after the dog, act like it’s for the kids, there’s no one else to call this short notice, I don’t have friends rn
Nancy: What do I pack?
Teddy: I love that, say goodbye to him for me
Teddy: Anything you can’t buy at [whatever shops there are at the airport that are boujee enough for y’all]
Nancy: 🥺🥺🥺 He’ll come next time, when he’s bigger
Nancy: If you don’t like how I look, you can fix it, I don’t care, I’m too excited
Teddy: I adore how you look, but I do need to fix how you feel
Nancy: 💗☀️🌊💗 fixes everything
Nancy: you’re not cross at me?
Teddy: I’m cross at me, I didn’t mean to hurt you
Nancy: I’m stupid, you’re stupid, we’re perfect for each other
Teddy: That’s what I told G
Teddy: we’re perfect & you’re perfect, not you’re stupid
Nancy: you been talking about me? 😁
Teddy: She wasn’t listening, she was far too busy crying about her hubby’s mood swings, but I tried
Nancy: He’s having his end-of-life crisis? Awkward
Teddy: Yeah, all because I refused to be seen but not heard at lunch
Nancy: Okay, you didn’t sign up for him to be your daddy too
Teddy: He’s irrelevant, I missed you
Nancy: I missed you more, my face hurts from clenching my jaw about it
Nancy: my heart hurt in my chest too
Teddy: 🥺 I should’ve booked this sooner, before you had time to feel any pain
Nancy: it’s okay, it’s good, it’s real
Teddy: They wouldn’t leave me alone & I had to think, or it wouldn’t have taken this long, it’s entirely my family’s fault
Nancy: I can’t believe you were having lunch like it’s normal 😂
Nancy: what meat did you have, most importantly
Teddy: [idk what posh people eat but pop off about it, clearly it’s whatever your dad wanted so expensive af steak or lamb is probably the vibe if we posh up my dad and most dads lol]
Nancy: I love you
Nancy: you must’ve been in such a bad mood
Teddy: Hence my sister reaching out to chat, she has to appear to care or commit fully to the evil stepmother role
Nancy: Rih always does that too
Nancy: probably just nosy
Teddy: I can’t blame her, her own life is empty, she literally opened by calling it a nightmare
Nancy: 😬
Nancy: She can’t have my ticket, I’m afraid
Teddy: She has no one else to blame
Teddy: & no, she can’t, it’s yours for a reason, I also told her how special you are
Nancy: 🥺🥺🥺🥺 She must think I’m unbearable
Teddy: She thinks her husband isn’t unbearable, apparently, her opinion is invalid
Nancy: I don’t care, you think I’m special
Nancy: and you’re telling people
Teddy: I’ll make an on board announcement once we’ve caught the flight, I don’t care
Nancy: 😋 you’re gonna be way too busy
Teddy: I love you
Nancy: [show him your ‘packing’ which is you just throwing things at this suitcase because you’re high, excited and rushing, not that I think you’re any less chaotic ever]
Nancy: I’ve not stopped thinking about you, that’s why I didn’t want to get tranq’d, going up made you buzz around my head harder
Teddy: [tell her what you’ve been on in that hard same way whether you’re just getting drunk af with your mum during this meal or you were also taking something between courses cos both I can imagine]
Nancy: I knew you’d be doing that too, anything else I tried but failed not to think about
Teddy: I was going to show at your place, party or no, but I couldn’t bear you having not even the slightest interest in seeing me
Nancy: That’s never going to be the case
Teddy: Never?
Nancy: I don’t even know how convincingly I could fake it
Teddy: It’s another challenge you aren’t going to turn down or disappoint me with, but not yet
Teddy: this is our time, you & I
Nancy: I’m not even thinking about it, nothing but you
Teddy: I’m thinking we could get married in [wherever y’all are going]
Nancy: Who can stop us, no one
Teddy: G believes I’m incapable of being serious, but you believe me now
Nancy: She wouldn’t think this is serious, everyone has different versions
Nancy: ours are compatible
Teddy: Any time spent with my family reinforces how much better ours is
Nancy: I can’t let them have you anymore, I’m not even sorry
Nancy: I need you
Teddy: I’m not sorry I’m yours, not at all
Nancy: Can we really, get married, I mean
Teddy: Of course
Nancy: then it’ll be official
Teddy: You’ll belong to me, you can’t up & leave or throw me out
Nancy: I won’t have any reason to doubt you or your intentions, you’ll have shown me
Teddy: I will
Nancy: Close
Nancy: They’ll let us practice 💘
Teddy: We’re both dyslexic, tell them I need to practise the kiss over & over again as well
Nancy: I need it just as much, maybe more
Teddy: I was scared I would forget what kissing you felt like
Nancy: We’ve not done it enough yet
Nancy: like, it’ll never be enough but not even not close
Teddy: No one can stop us, I’ll do it whenever I want
Nancy: I want it all the time, just so you know there’s no reason to ever stop
Teddy: Well, you’ve given me the best reason to always keep going
Nancy: I’ll give you more, when I can get my hands on you again
Teddy: Are you on your way yet?
Nancy: I don’t trust anyone here to keep Rex from running out the door when they all do
Nancy: Ava is meant to be on her way though 🕛
Teddy: You’re such a fantastic mother, Nance
Nancy: I don’t want to lose either of you
Teddy: It isn’t going to happen, darling
Nancy: and I know you love him too
Teddy: Does he know we were fighting? What did you say about me?
Nancy: [tell him all the mean things you undoubtedly said because you’re crazy and were upset]
Teddy: He must hate me 💔
Nancy: I only told Grace to get real though, that your finger probably slipped, like you said
Nancy: so I haven’t ruined it
Nancy: I didn’t mean any of it
Teddy: We aren’t thinking about her right now, like you said
Nancy: Rex is super forgiving, he’s that loyal
Teddy: [just be buying this dog things rn with no thought to the fact nobody will be there to accept those parcels cos kinda boy you are]
Nancy: See, you’re the best daddy too
Nancy: I’m telling him ALL the nice things now before he leaves
Teddy: [do a voice note apology to this dog despite the fact you haven’t actually given her a verbal one, we stan a toxic king]
Nancy: [this dog doing whining noises probably ‘cos he’s stressed about all these randomers but we’re acting like it’s for you, of course]
Teddy: I knew he’d still love me
Nancy: the most
Nancy: I’m so 🥺 over it
Teddy: If he wasn’t with Ava I’d call him every day we’re away
Nancy: You’d seem like the most doting uncle
Teddy: Which everyone knows I’m not
Nancy: You might have to fake that, when you’re with her
Nancy: not now
Teddy: It’s a holiday from fake
Nancy: everything that’s not us
Teddy: I need it
Nancy: I know, everything else is draining
Nancy: you just give and give to me
Teddy: You’re the most important & I’ll have time to focus on you
Nancy: I need your attention, Teddy, desperately
Teddy: I’m as desperate to give it all to you
Nancy: The way I’m throwing this dog at her and leaving her to deal with the cops too
Nancy: sorry but 😈 I HAVE to go
Teddy: You can’t keep me waiting any longer than traffic in the city dictates, it’s already going to be SO unfair
Nancy: Is there anything I can do for you now? Poor baby
Teddy: I just want to be with you
Nancy: I’ll make everyone move faster, be here so I can not be
Teddy: Please
Nancy: [not you blowing up your sister like you’re not the adult, showing him as much, you mess]
Teddy: [so soz Ava, you literally deserve none of this, but we can all thank god at least java weren’t at the fam sunday roast]
Teddy: She’s still exactly the same as she was in school, priorities all over the place
Nancy: If I didn’t have the dog, she wouldn’t come at all
Nancy: luckily I do
Teddy: If you didn’t have Rex she’d be useless to you
Nancy: That’s how she sees me, all of them do
Teddy: They’re wrong, I’m right
Nancy: I don’t want to be any use to them, they don’t deserve it
Teddy: You deserve to be appreciated
Nancy: By you, that’s what I want
Teddy: I won’t take you for granted, I can’t, you’re too rare
Nancy: I keep forgetting this is real, my suitcase is right there, you’re waiting for me
Teddy: It’s the [whatever drugs she took], baby
Teddy: but I won’t let you forget
Nancy: I just think you’re unreal
Nancy: it was [some unsavoury character who is available for Sunday morning/afternoon seshes]’s shit, not even that good
Teddy: I’ll remember to have a chat with him when we get back then
Nancy: Hot
Nancy: Can I watch?
Teddy: Yes
Nancy: 🥴 now I’m properly gone
Teddy: I have to protect you, Rex is only a baby
Nancy: You should’ve had a younger sister, you’d be good at it
Teddy: I’ll have a daughter instead, thanks to you
Teddy: which is all the more reason to take nothing but the finest [whatever drug lol]
Nancy: I’ll behave better now I have incentive again 😇
Nancy: and I can come up with any and every excuse to NEED to go on this trip, Ava isn’t putting 2 and 2 together
Teddy: It was thoughtful of J to put her off going to King’s, imagine having to see her whenever I go into uni
Nancy: I definitely couldn’t sleep with your whole rugby team then 🙄🥱
Nancy: It’s weird you didn’t hook up back in the day but I’m the opposite of mad
Teddy: She’s weirdly monogamous, I did try
Nancy: We did have some people like that too, avoiding the whole wifeswap energy that was inevitable once everyone started hooking up
Nancy: her loss
Teddy: You can tell she’s boring in bed anyway
Nancy: I can tell her you’re not
Teddy: Thank you, darling
Nancy: 🤤 THANK YOU
Teddy: Thank me later
Nancy: but I’m thinking about it already
Teddy: Me too
Nancy: Do we have to wait ‘til we’re there? 😨😨
Teddy: No, it’s a [however many hour idk where we’re sending you] flight
Nancy: I cannot do it, I’m dead serious about that
Teddy: I’ll want you the moment I see you
Nancy: We can find somewhere private
Teddy: Immediately
Nancy: Yes please
Teddy: You could stay in the car & I pay the driver to get out?
Nancy: That is a really good idea, do that
Teddy: It’ll be on my mind constantly until I can
Nancy: I’m not going to be able to sit still
Teddy: I like watching you, you can show me
Nancy: I’ll show you what I didn’t bother packing, what my skirt is just long enough to hide
Teddy: Fuck, I won’t be able to sit still either
Nancy: Tell them we only need one seat actually, you’re mine
Teddy: I’ll do that, it’s a really good idea of yours
Nancy: thinking about riding your cock for [however long this flight is] has me ready to come home before we’ve even landed
Teddy: You didn’t let anyone in our bed, did you?
Nancy: No, I didn’t want to be in my room, see it
Nancy: just got fucked up, I swear
Teddy: I believe you
Nancy: It’s still special, I barely got chance to touch myself in it before we were fighting
Teddy: I’d have to take it apart otherwise & I don’t have the first clue how to do something like that
Nancy: Help me try to break it the fun way instead
Teddy: Are plane seats breakable?
Nancy: Test it, test me
Teddy: Okay, I will
Nancy: see what we can get away with, how far we can take it
Teddy: This is the start of us getting away with anything
Nancy: Everything
Teddy: Yes, everything
Nancy: Oh, I see her
Nancy: hold on whilst I throw Rex at her, she’s going to try to stop me
Teddy: I’d say give her my love, but now is hardly the appropriate moment
Nancy: I wish I could be that blatant
Teddy: Soon you can be as blatant as you like
Nancy: God, I can’t fucking wait
Teddy: We’re going to have a fantastic time
Nancy: [give you a moment here to clearly beef with your sister but ultimately hand this dog over and your keys to your flat like thank you goodbye, so rude, so immature and crazy]
Nancy: Better than the best week ever
Nancy: and we barely wasted any time
Teddy: I’m very proud of you
Nancy: [send a car selfie like you are correct to be]
Nancy: We’re doing this
Teddy: Were you wearing [a really boujee brand that’s expensive af and she had no business wearing to party on a sunday and be sad and messy is the point lol] at your party?
Nancy: If I’m going to fall apart, I’m still going to dress well doing it
Nancy: I didn’t need to go full trap house
Teddy: You mustn’t ever stop being this perfect
Nancy: Though you would think I’d been letting people blow crack in Rex’s face, the way Ava just went off 🙄
Nancy: You might have to take your perfect self along and claim him when we get back, James is less stubborn than her
Teddy: I can go off back at her without needing to blow our cover, her lifestyle fully entitles me
Nancy: 😍 Okay, my hero
Teddy: But if she intends to steal Rex, of course I’ll step in physically as well
Nancy: I love you so much
Nancy: She talks to me like I’m a child
Teddy: My sister does the same to me, it makes them feel grown up & obviously because they aren’t actually so few other things do
Nancy: You would feel like a child if you were dating someone so old and boring
Teddy: True & that is the case for them both, J has prematurely turned himself ancient, G’s husband is
Nancy: It’s not fun if it’s not for sex but for all the time
Teddy: I couldn’t bring myself to ask you to sleep with my new brother in law, even for the fun of the divorce
Nancy: Do you think he’s into monogamy?
Teddy: Assumedly, I doubt the bore act is a bluff to hide the fact he’s really a dark horse into all kinds of dark things, we’d be able to tell
Nancy: You definitely would
Nancy: It’s a shame she has to wait for him to die then 😕
Teddy: She’ll go behind his back & cheat, my father is her hero, after all
Nancy: We could help her get caught
Nancy: If he’s truly that boring, he’ll want her gone before she can get her hands on his fortune
Teddy: That could work, well done for being so clever
Nancy: Who does she really like, what type, you’ll have to find out
Nancy: can even engineer the meet cutes to give her the easiest job
Teddy: She isn’t going to open up to me, or my mother who would give the info up to me, you’ll have to befriend her while I’m busy with Grace
Nancy: There’s no better use of my time
Nancy: I’ll do it, and tell you all about it
Teddy: She won’t make it easy, she’s an undiagnosed autistic or something, basically like a robot
Nancy: I don’t mind a challenge
Nancy: People act like that when they need to, it’s not gonna be the whole story
Teddy: It definitely isn’t, she hasn’t always acted how she does now
Teddy: J left a place for her to be my father’s real II when it became clear he was fit for it in name only & since then her special interest is licking his [a boujee brand of shoe]
Nancy: I’ll refrain from suggesting she just bites the bullet and goes there…
Nancy: I bet her type is someone your father would hate then
Teddy: Yeah, naturally, it makes too much sense to not be accurate
Nancy: So, assuming she’s not secretly queer, what other minorities can we focus in on 🤔
Teddy: She refuses to shut up about work, there’s definitely poverty porn in her history, she’s desperate to be middle class
Nancy: Awh, how predictable
Teddy: If they weren’t too young to pique her interest I’d throw one of the council estate kids from uni at her
Nancy: Someone from Uni IS a good idea though, a professor or someone doing a master's, maybe
Nancy: She’s that sort of girl, right?
Teddy: What a 🥱 prospect, but yeah, absolutely she is
Nancy: Poor AND stupid would really be painting a picture of her I’m sure she’s not interested in being shown
Teddy: [do a kiss and tell about like a boy who cleaned your parents pool or mowed their lawn or some other cliche who was poor and stupid that you hooked up with just cos]
Nancy: No one else is you, unfortunately 😖
Teddy: I need you to start once we get home, she’s planning a family
Nancy: I promise, I’ll get her back for you
Teddy: Viagra will have too much to answer for if she gets pregnant before he gets cheated on 🤢
Nancy: If she’s so like a robot, why does she even want them? 👶👶
Teddy: It’ll please my parents? It means she’s guaranteed more of the fortune?
Nancy: Yeah, that makes sense
Nancy: Her being a perfectly respectable age to breed and all
Teddy: Maybe he’s disappointed with how the brats he had with the first wife turned out, having met them, I would be
Nancy: Are none of them cute?
Nancy: A wasted opportunity
Teddy: [give her the step kid tea whatever it is]
Nancy: You could take one for the team and do it, that would be maximum chaos
Nancy: doesn’t sound like she’ll commit to the step-mum fantasy for them, they are rich and boring, after-all
Teddy: Would you mind?
Nancy: I don’t think so
Nancy: I don’t know
Teddy: I’d hate to act in a way which would cause problems between us
Nancy: I don’t want you to feel like you can’t do what you want, then you’ll just resent me
Teddy: BUT I’ll be upset if you’re upset
Nancy: I wish I could do it with you, yeah
Nancy: but that’s not always possible
Teddy: 🥺💔
Nancy: Would it make you happy?
Teddy: Causing chaos is my favourite, but so are you
Nancy: Darling
Nancy: I want to know exactly what you want so I can help make it happen, that includes letting you do this
Teddy: Having another pet like Grace would be fun, I’m sure
Nancy: Think about it
Teddy: Who do you think? Pick for me
Nancy: [go through these step kids socials so you can vibe out who you actually think would be the easiest target, telling him why]
Teddy: Okay, I’ll do it
Nancy: I really want you to, the more I think about it
Teddy: Share your thoughts with me
Nancy: I like the idea of you being that satisfied, having someone so willing to do anything for you because you manipulated them into being that way
Teddy: Your explanation is really selling the idea
Nancy: Don’t be afraid to want it
Nancy: I want it for me too
Teddy: I’ll be brave
Nancy: Tell me what worries you about it
Teddy: What if I can’t do as good of a job as you have with Grace?
Nancy: They aren’t as vulnerable
Nancy: You aren’t as lucky
Teddy: I don’t want to fail
Nancy: You’ll have to take it slow, it’s not easy
Nancy: I can coach you
Teddy: I can’t do it without you
Nancy: You’ll have me, I’m yours now, remember
Teddy: Officially
Nancy: No one comes between us, it’s hierarchy, and we’re at the top
Teddy: 👑 & 💍
Nancy: Anyone else is a pet or a toy, just like you said
Nancy: but you’re so real
Teddy: You’re mine the way nobody else is
Nancy: you’re giving me your name, your children
Teddy: As soon as possible
Nancy: I want it all
Teddy: You’re torturing me by not being physically here now
Nancy: and you like how much it hurts
Teddy: Yes, I love it, but knowing that will do the opposite of hurrying you along & I’d also love to have you with me
Nancy: Hey, I’m not driving 😏
Teddy: But you could influence the driver
Nancy: To slow down, maybe
Nancy: don’t want him thinking this is for him
Teddy: Unless his ‘celeb’ lookalike is [someone famous Nancy won’t have heard of possibly in the vein of when Grace said he looked like somebody famous to take the piss out of her for that one], I highly doubt he’s supposing a girl like you could be for him
Teddy: Besides which, I’m not paying him to think
Nancy: No… he looks like [a really old man celeb, not a compliment, not a vibe]
Nancy: 😍 stop being that hot
Teddy: Oh, what a shame, poor you
Teddy: No, I refuse, I’m winning you back
Nancy: Haven’t you already won?
Teddy: You aren’t here yet, you could still demand the driver turns the car around
Nancy: I’ve traumatised you
Teddy: A little
Nancy: Why didn’t you give up?
Teddy: Because I’d have done the same thing, even if it traumatised you
Nancy: Both times?
Teddy: You’re more or less a female version of who I am
Nancy: I won’t pretend to be offended by that
Teddy: You’re too aware of how much of a compliment it is to be offended
Nancy: The only other comparisons I get have me not measuring up, or looking like my father
Nancy: it isn’t any competition but, yeah
Teddy: You should’ve told me, I’ll happily split your parents up by sleeping with your father if you look that alike
Nancy: 😂 Sorry to dash that dream
Teddy: I’ll eventually get over it, providing you don’t dash any others
Nancy: Keep me making them come true for you fun and I won’t
Teddy: I’ll keep everything fun
Nancy: I can’t be bored, I don’t do it
Teddy: I don’t bore people, they bore me
Nancy: You want me to be happy, don’t you?
Teddy: It’s a priority, obviously
Nancy: Nothing about this is going to be boring then, promise
Teddy: Starting now?
Nancy: Traumatised, fine
Nancy: but don’t act like you’ve been bored
Teddy: Joking, I promise
Nancy: I’ve not asked to turn around, it’s okay
Teddy: I’d track you down, should you be foolish enough
Nancy: Good
Nancy: acting like you don’t care when you do is the most boring thing you could do
Teddy: Lies are for anyone who isn’t us
Nancy: Everyone
Teddy: There are no circumstances in which I’m willing to give up on this
Teddy: not on you, you’re mine
Nancy: None, I’m not allowing it, whatever happens
Nancy: you’re mine
Teddy: We aren’t having any more blips though, they won’t happen
Nancy: I’m sorry
Teddy: It’s behind us now
Nancy: Maybe
Nancy: I’m still crazy
Teddy: You’re my ideal woman
Nancy: You’ll make me crazier, saying things like that when you’re so incredible yourself
Teddy: No one will blame you, going crazy for me
Nancy: No one knows but they could and I wouldn’t care, not if everyone knew
Teddy: It’s okay, you’re allowed to care about the plan too, it’s still a good one & I can’t blame you for wanting to go ahead, we’re both committed to it as well as each other
Nancy: It’s half finished, if anything, she’s just had an ego boost paired with an embarrassment so far
Nancy: it’s not enough
Teddy: & I know the ego boost upsets you the most
Teddy: but we’ll see it through & she won’t have an ego left to speak of
Nancy: 🥰
Nancy: Alright, dirty talk
Teddy: Until you’re here, it’s all I have to content myself with
Nancy: I’m assured we’re going as fast as we can, darling
Teddy: Give him my assurance if he manages to go faster it’ll be extremely worthwhile
Nancy: I suppose he should be let in on that secret
Teddy: My financial generosity is no secret, but everything else can remain so, I’ve already told you I like it that way
Nancy: I meant the general worthwhileness, which for me has little to do with your cash
Nancy: not nothing but 😘
Teddy: You want to tell the driver all about me & the plan I have for you? Well, I suppose I should allow it as I couldn’t keep my mouth shut to my sister
Nancy: I’m sorry she didn’t care, that neither of my siblings would either 😔
Nancy: you deserve excitement
Teddy: You are exciting
Nancy: That’s a promise
Nancy: What will she think of Grace?
Teddy: As she’s one of your poor relations, G should be a fan, this is going to test whether her devotion to the working classes is all talk or something she’s actually willing to stand by
Nancy: Good luck to her
Nancy: Grace is entirely mortified by her lack of class, she’ll be doing everything to fit in and failing, as per
Teddy: As Grace should be, I’m truly the lucky one to have you as a palate cleanser for the bad taste your cousin inevitably leaves
Nancy: Being compared to an aperitif is a new one…
Teddy: Maybe, but in this instance, it’s completely fitting
Nancy: You’re such a weirdo 😏
Teddy: Which is equally fitting considering nobody but a weirdo would seduce Grace
Nancy: Her dating history may as well be the sex offenders register, one in the same
Teddy: She does act a lot younger than she is
Nancy: Easiest way to get the easiest men, you can feel desirable if your standards don’t exist 🤷‍♀️
Teddy: G will be delighted at the excuse to shoo us both onto the children’s table with the brats
Nancy: You’re clearly not the company she can keep now she’s a mature sophisticated adult
Nancy: I’ve been there
Teddy: She’s just jealous I’m not lacking in far superior company
Nancy: I bet she’s missing someone, that’s how I’d act, if one of mine was trying to tell me about their great new relationship
Teddy: You’ll be able to discover who once you get her to open up to you, we may not need a new romance after all
Nancy: As boring as it’ll be to pretend I’m serious too
Nancy: I’ll suffer it for you
Teddy: You won’t be as indebted to me for having to suffer Grace, think of it that way
Nancy: Perhaps I like being indebted to you 😋
Nancy: but really, it’ll be so easy, just like talking to my mother
Teddy: If so, fear not, darling, my workload & struggle is much greater, you’ll still owe me plenty & I intend to collect
Nancy: Jesus Christ, please do
Nancy: don’t let me clear it, ever, pile on the interest
Teddy: It’s a promise
