HLC REACT TO MC BEING BITTEN BY A WEREWOLF

WARNING: some angst

Wrong place. Wrong time. That's how it happened. What was just thought to be an ordinary mongrel turned out to be a werewolf. MC laid on the ground in a pool of their own blood, grasping their wand arm. MC managed to kill the beast, but not before it got a nasty bite on them.

Even as new to the magical world as they were, they knew this was bad news. There was no cure to the werewolf disease and as soon as the light of the first full moon hit them, they would become a mindless feral beast. This would be their fate for every month for the rest of their life.

They can't tell anyone. They would never be trusted again. Everyone would abandon them. They would be expelled from school. They would never have a normal life.

They try to claim ill when the full moon would come around and disappear into the forest until the moon would wane again. Unfortunately, this pattern doesn't go unnoticed.

SEBASTIAN SALLOW: Werewolf is the last word he expected to come out of their mouth. That's why they've been avoiding him? They thought that something like them being a werewolf would make him not want to be their friend? Please, that's the most incredible thing anyone has ever told him!

OMINIS GAUNT: What He really cares about is if they're managing themselves responsibly. They could seriously hurt or kill people, they are not themselves when they're forced to transform. He'll take it upon himself to keep track of the moon cycle and constantly remind MC when the next full moon is.

ANNE SALLOW: Now they're both cursed forever. Misery loves company. At least the company is nice.

IMELDA REYES: She doesn't believe MC at first. That's got to be one of the most wild stories she's ever been told. But the monthly disappearances keep happening. She follows them one night on her broom and sees them transform. They never see her in the canopy of the trees. There's a twinge of fear in her eyes the next time they interact.

NATSAI ONAI: She's curious about the form of lycanthropy. Do they turn into a werewolf specifically or is that just a blanket term for lycanthropic creatures in this area of the world? Because where she's from, lycanthropy takes many shapes. She shows genuine interest in learning about MC's condition and helping them manage it. She'll stupefy them if they don't keep up with their moon chart.

GARRETH WEASLEY: That's a pretty heavy thing to admit to, but he can see the silver lining in this. MC is now a source of pretty rare potion ingredients. Don't look at him like that, of course it's the first thing he thinks of. Werewolf teeth and claws are hard to come by without...well, without a lot of unpleasantness.

LEANDER PREWETT: He reflexively jerks away when they admit it. He's heard horror stories of what werewolves do to people, if they bother to leave you alive. MC couldn't possibly be.... He needs time to process. He won't tell other people, but it's hard for him to look at them the same way.

AMIT THAKKAR: Please, he knows the moon cycle for the next 10 years by heart. While he may stand an extra foot or two away from them, he will still gladly be their friend. They're not dangerous as long as they're being smart. Everything will be all right.

EVERETT CLOPTON: He's uncharacteristically quiet for a long time after MC confesses. It's a lot to take in that someone you know is now considerably more dangerous and unpredictable during certain times of the month. He'll need some time to decide if he's willing to stick around.

POPPY SWEETING: Who's a good dog? Kidding. MC has nothing to worry about with her. She's fully accepting of them in their condition, it's not their fault. And for what it's worth, beasts don't really care either. Stick with them and MC won't have to explain wolf tracks constantly in their vicinity.

ELEAZAR FIG: Because of the amount of time he has spent with MC, he's the first Professor to notice the change in their behavior. It didn't take long for him to realize they would mysteriously disappear during the full moon. Oh, MC, he's so sorry. This wasn't the end of the world, but this was going to make their life difficult. He'll do what he can for them, they still have him after Hogwarts. He won't let them leave school without a plan.

He informs the other professors individually. He wanted them to be in the know so they can continue to manage MC's education without letting the headmaster catch wind of MC's condition.

MATILDA WEASLEY: This news weighs heavy on her. If any parent caught wind of MC's condition, this would be a nightmare for staff to deal with. They were allowing a werewolf within the walls of a school. But this was MC. They were managing it, everyone else that was important knew about it. They were managing it too. They were doing everything in their power to keep accidents from happening. But what if something does happen?

CHIYO KOGAWA: She and Hecat keep close tabs on MC when the full moon draws near. The new transformations wouldn't happen until the moon was at its peak, but they weren't taking any chances.

AESOP SHARP: He met werewolves during his time as an auror. MC is in for a hard life. The vast majority of wizards do not look upon werewolves kindly. In his spare time, what little he had, he researched treatments for lycanthropy. There had been no successful cures or treatments yet invented, but he could take it crack at it.

ABRAHAM RONEN: Next to Professor Fig, he's the professor MC goes to when they need to talk. This condition that they will have to deal with for the rest of their lives has to be weighing heavily on their mind. Mc can tell him how they're feeling. They will get no judgment from him, only comfort.

MIRABEL GARLICK: She's up for MC experimenting with some new plants she has. One in particular called Wolfsbane. There's a superstition that it repels werewolves. Is it true?

MUDIWA ONAI: She does a palm reading for MC and explains in great detail that their condition does not define them as a person. They are MC. They are a person with feelings and emotions and desires and dreams. Not a monster.

BAI HOWIN: She knows someone. She'll give MC a name and tell them to write to that person. They are the liaison to a small werewolf community, perhaps being in touch with others who have dealt with this will help MC cope. Don't worry, no one else needs to know about this.

DINAH HECAT: She's on watch with Kogawa. She knows MC isn't dangerous until the moon is actually out and at its peak, but it's Professor weasley's orders that they keep visual on MC until they are in the safe zone the nights of the full moon.

CUTHBERT BINNS: As long as MC is well behaved in class and keeps up with their studies, he could not care less what is in their blood.

SATYAVATI SHAH: It crosses her mind to inform the headmaster. Even if they're not intentionally dangerous, they are still potentially dangerous. The safety of her students comes first. A direct order from Professor Weasley keeps her from saying anything and she helps MC keep track of the moon cycle.

PHINEAS NIGELLUS BLACK: He never notices what individual students are up to. It's a good thing too, because MC would be immediately expelled if he did. He won't have a dangerous half-breed in his school.

You stared at Hange as she grinned at you. "Say that again."

Hange jumped to her feet. "You're pregnant!"

You welled up and gasped a little. You covered your mouth with your hands as you felt so happy. "A baby...this is amazing. Levi and I really want kids." You fumbled with your purse and yanked your phone out. "Oh, but I don't want to tell him over the phone. I think I'm gonna set something up." You jumped up. "I have to go prepare something for him when he comes back. I'll see you in a bit!"

Hange waved to you and squealed. "Baby! Levi is having a kid!" She scrambled to her phone and called up her husband. "Moblit! Levi's gonna be a dad!"

Hange talked to her man before ending the call and dialling Mike's number, she just wanted to talk to people about Levi Ackerman becoming a dad. She couldn't contain her exciting and as a result, everyone knew about the baby except Levi and a few others that were with him at the meeting.

You hurried to Levi's office and started decorating it and placed a few baby-themed presents on his desk. You clapped your hands in delight at what you'd done and turned to the door to see Eren and Mikasa. "Hello, you two."

Eren grinned. "Congratulations. I can't believe it."

You frowned. "Huh?"

Mikasa patted her belly. "You're pregnant."

You gulped hard. "How did you know? Do I look it?"

"Hange told us."

You stared at her for a while. "Hange...told you?"

Eren tugged on Mikasa's top. "We should go."

You pulled your phone out and called Hange. "Hange? Did you tell everyone I'm pregnant?"

Hange went quiet for a moment before speaking. "Oh so sorry, but I kind of did. I just...I'm sorry. I got so excited and happy...I'm really fucking sorry."

You sighed. "I was planning a surprise for Levi and it's sad he's the last to know. Can you call everyone back and tell them to pretend they don't know? This is a big deal Hange. Levi's been wanting this for a while and I wanted to make a big thing out of it. He'd want a little announcement too and this..."

"I messed up big time. I'm so damn sorry."

You sat on Levi's desk. "This is a big deal to Levi and I. It's our special moment."

"I'll make it up to you both, I swear."

You let out a long sigh. "I'll tell Levi today. Call everyone you told and tell them not to tell Levi the news, okay?"

"I'm sorry again."

You sighed. "I normally say it's okay, but I just...I...I love you Hange. You're an incredible friend to me and you mean so much to me. You've helped me out when I struggled a lot. I am upset about this, but we'll move past it in time. I know you'll help me fix this."

"I will! I swear!"

You looked up through the double open doors of Levi's office to see Levi walking closer. "I've gotta go. Levi's here. Talk soon!"

Levi kept talking to Erwin and Jean. He looked ahead and lit up when he saw you. "I've got to go gentleman, but I believe I'm needed." He smiled and hurried over to you. "My sweetness."

You jumped to your feet. "Levi."

Levi closed his double doors and locked them. He threw his blazer onto his sofa, yanked his tie down with one hand and walked fast towards you. "Sugarplum."

You squealed in delight as he hugged you tightly. "Hi, my love."

He held your hips and kissed you with a happy hum. "I missed you."

"I missed you too."

"You did? Good."

You giggled. "So! How was your meeting?"

He caressed your cheek as he massaged your hip. "It was like others." He dragged his lips across your cheek to your ear. "I want to focus on you. You look so sexy. I want to eat you up."

You moaned as he nipped your neck. "Levi?" You panted and shivered in delight. "Levi, I have something for you."

He pulled back. "Is it you naked on my desk?"

You hummed a laugh. "No." You turned in his arms and smiled as he held you close. "I have gifts for you."

He looked at his desk at the three presents. "Oh, you got me gifts?" He nipped your shoulder. "Thank you."

"Open!"

He released you as he chuckled. "All right." He unwrapped it and opened the box. He frowned a bit and picked up a soft blanket. "Cute."

You pushed another closer. "This one."

He opened it to reveal a soft cuddly bunny. "Adorable. What's this all about?"

You handed him the last box. "Not telling. Just open."

He laughed a bit as he opened the box. "This is fun." He gazed into the box and stared at the little baby onesie with a bunny on and small socks. He welled up as his heart fluttered. He looked up at you. "Really? Are we really having a baby?"

You nodded. "I found out today."

He put the box down and picked up the onesie. "So tiny." He hugged it. "You really are?"

"Yes."

"No joking."

You giggled. "Not joking."

He put it down and tackled you into a hug. "This is amazing! I'm so happy! We're going to have a baby." He picked you up and spun around with you. "A cute baby." He kissed you and moaned against your lips. "I love you."

"I love you so much." You nibbled your lip. "So umm..."

He frowned. "What's wrong?"

You sighed. "Don't get too mad."

He put you on your feet. "What's wrong?"

"So, you know how I said Hange got my results? Well..."

Levi stared at you. "She told everyone."

You nodded and welled up. "I'm so sorry."

He cupped your face and kissed you. "It's not your fault, okay? Hange got super excited and just exploded. I'm sure you told her off and she'll make it up to us."

"You're so calm."

"Oh, my sweetness, I am furious with her." He sighed. "But I know her and she does get very excited about things. I want to focus on us. I know you and I know you wanted to tell me in person in a cute way instead of over the phone." He kissed you and smiled. "I love how you told me." He chuckled. "I'm so happy. So, shall we go to a baby shop? I want to buy more."

You nodded and grabbed your bag. "Yes!"

He gathered his presents, blazer and bag before holding your hand. He lifted your hand and covered it in kisses. "Let's go home."

You cuddled up to him. "Yes."

He walked out to see people waiting and whispering. He sighed. "They're pretending not to know, right?"

"Yeah, Hange tired to fix this."

"Hm. I hope none of these lot go into acting."

Erwin approached you and Levi. "Hey both, so..."

Levi pulled you close. "Hange's rumour is true. I wish I knew before everyone else, but she got excited. We're heading home for the day. That okay?"

Erwin nodded. "Go right ahead. Oh, and congratulations. You're both going to be incredible parents and your child will be so beautiful."

You smiled softly. "Thank you, Erwin."

Levi bowed his head. "Thank you, godfather."

Erwin welled up. "God...I'm honoured."

You blew him a kiss. "See you soon!"

Levi yanked you close. "Kisses are for me and our baby only."

You kissed his neck. "Of course."

Ooooh I’ve never written for Persona, but I’m gonna do it! Hope you don’t mind short but sweet.

“Aaaaaaaand BOOM!” Futaba leaned back against Joker, her tension finally melting away as she stretched her arms over her head with a wide grin on her face. “Done and done! Wait ‘til Ryuji hears about this! He owes me a weeks’ worth of ramen!”

Joker smiled as he adjusted his glasses and gave the top of her head a playful pat. “Good job,” he said proudly. “And with time to spare.”

“Not much though,” she admitted narrowing her eyes, her face becoming serious once again as she tapped a few more keys. “But now we just play the waiting game.”

It had been an impressive feat, though it had taken some time. Futaba had been sat on the futon, her knees pulled up against her narrow chest, as she coded the game Ryuji had insisted she wouldn’t be able to create in a single day. Futaba wasn’t one to back down from that sort of challenge and had spent almost twenty-three hours working non-stop as a point of pride. She pulled out her phone and began to type furiously.

Joker felt his phone buzz from inside his pocket. He retrieved it and joined the messenger to see that Futaba had already announced her victory.

 Futaba: Suck it Ryuji! You owe me FOOOOOOOD!

Ryuji: Seriously? No way! NO WAY! You did it???

Futaba: It is uploading as we speak. Soon you will be able to play it for yourself!

Ann: That’s incredible Futaba!

Haru: Yes, well done!

Yusuke: Indeed. Her talent knows no bounds.

Makoto: You should get some rest. I imagine this must have taken a lot of focus. You have eaten, haven’t you Futaba?

 Futaba didn’t reply. Joker saw it all happen in slow motion. Her eyelashes fluttered as her eyelids slowly drooped, covering her wide brown eyes, and her entire body became soft as she slumped against him, her cheek pressed against his shoulder as she began to lightly snore. He looked back to the bright screen of his phone and began to type.

 Joker: She’s out for the count. I’ll make sure she gets to bed.

 He returned the device to his pocket and glanced down at Futaba’s sleeping form. She looked so innocent and small, and he found that he didn’t want to move just yet. Her slow, deep breath exhaled all of the tension she had built up over the past few hours as she’d huddled up in front of the monitor, while all he could do was watch as her fingers danced across the keyboard, working their magic. The most he could do was bring her snacks and drinks. She barely even looked up when Sojiro had brought her curry. “No time!” she’d insisted, but she quickly ate it once Joker had attempted to spoon feed her like a toddler.

“Hmmm … Joker …”

He swallowed. She was still definitely asleep, but the way she murmured his name as she dreamt almost made him blush. He leaned in, placing a soft kiss on her forehead as he removed her glasses, and then his own, placing both pairs on the table, side by side. He held her close to his chest feeling more relaxed than he ever thought he could be.

“I’m here Futaba,” he whispered. “For you, I will always be here.”

 From his spot on the bed, Morgana watched the two; Joker’s arm around Futaba’s shoulder as he gently cradled her against him, his lips whispering sweet nothings into her dreams as his fingers lightly brushed through her hair, the colour of autumn leaves, as though it were made of the finest silk.

“You two are the so cute together,” he muttered, turning his head away to give them their moment. “I hope I get to be like that with Lady Ann one day.”

And with that, all three slowly drifted to sleep.

I drew a faux K/DA Jinx! Fun story!

The purpose of this fanart is because Otakufest FL was on August 31 - September 1 and I really admired and wanted the VA (Sarah Anne Williams! She voices Jinx from League of legends but has also voiced Sayaka Miki from Madoka Magica) to autograph it to help inspire me to keep drawing. I got the autograph and she got a print for herself as well! Thankies @pocket-penny for getting it for me ;__:

Top Three Ships: a tough one! I used to be more invested in ships, not so much now. I think my faves are still Amy x Jake (from Brooklyn 99), Chidi x Eleanor (from The Good Place) and Blue x Gansey (from The Raven Cycle).

Reading: I am reading a lot of things at the same time, so a rough list is: Beartown by Frederik Backman; The Last 8 by Laura Pohl (audiobook); Anne of Windy Willows by Lucy Maud Montgomery; rereading Dracula by Bram Stoker for bookclub!
