You know I'm weak for historical shit 😩 How about the Siege of Fredriksten in 1718?

The siege was carried out by Swedish forces at a fortress in the south of Norway, in a city bordering Sweden. It took place during the Great Northern War where Denmark-Norway and Sweden fought against each other and Sweden made many plays at Norwegian territory. Norwegian forces held a stand at Fredriksten fortress and resisted several Swedish attacks and an army of 40.000 men through 24 days when the siege was called off after the Swedish King was killed by a shot to the head while inspecting his troops. This event was also the cause of huge Swedish losses in central Norway where another invading army was forced to turn around after the death of the King, freezing to death in the Norwegian mountains.

Ok this is something new I tried to write it’s basically a y/n story and her life with a controlling elvis and just her life with him, it may not be historically accurate but let me know what you guys think!

Warnings : Naive reader. Implied/speaking of smut but I will never write full smut. Mentions of parental issues. Age gap.Controlling/manipulating elvis. Also I made his mom (Gladys) still be alive — I don’t really check my spelling so if something’s messed up I’m sorry!———————————————————-

You were a smart girl, 18 years old, currently living alone and in university!

You were only living alone because not everything was working out with your parents they were manipulative,money hungry & everything in between.

Your life was pretty much boring just school,work repeat!

Until you met Elvis, he was 28 at the time

Elvis was a friend of one of your closest friends and you met him at a birthday party that one of your friends forced you too.

You kinda mentally freaked out when you saw him, but you knew he obviously wouldn’t approach you, right??

Well you were wrong that night because Elvis Presley did infact approach you which led to him getting your number then that led to you guys going on dates and more dates until you were finally,officially boyfriend and girlfriend.

You were still working your job at the library and going to college until Elvis suddenly just told you to quit.

“But why do you want me to quit” You said with a confused tone and you sat on his bed laying your head on his chest running your hand up and down as his hand sat upon yours

“Cause’ I can take care of you mama, there’s no point of having a job, you don’t have to worry about money ever again” He stated, As he hands played with your strap of your shirt and his other hand rubbing your head. The words just flew out his mouth, so nonchalantly, Did he do this with his other girlfriends?? Does he mean this??

“Well ok I’ll quit if it’s what you want me to do but don’t be making me a priority, You have a career, Elvis” He shushed you kissing you on the top of your head.

Then eventually he got up off the bed.

“Oh and baby, I sold your apartment, the movers should be here with your stuff soon. Your living with me now” He said, again so nonchalantly it pissed you off how could he waste money on you like this

Now that alarmed you.

“You WHAT??” You stated sounding like you were running out of air

“You no what I expect from you now on, your living with me, no questions asked.”

You looked at him dumbfounded

He sent you a wink before walking out.

And that was just the beginning.

You were only 18 and Elvis wanted to keep you away from everything and keep you innocent, so everytime he left for shows or tours he made made you stay in Graceland with only the workers & guards to keep you company, you were lonely.

Gladys and Vernon also felt really bad, they knew there son could be a bit, well.. …Territorial

They knew you were a naive and Elvis was your first love and they realized how confused you were and how y’all couldn’t spend much time together.

You I felt like a baby, You were still in school, staying home, not really doing much adult stuff it was boring.

You just wanted to be with Elvis

Elvis never wanted you to leave the house, the closest you would get out of the house is when you went In the outside garden or one of your best friends asked you to go shopping,

But a guard was always with you guys. And it wasn’t often.

He wanted you to be locked up in the house all the time cause he didn’t want you losing your innocence or leaving him.

You were thrilled the first time he let you go on tour with him it was actually around the time you turned 19 and you finally got to spend time with him.

But still you had to be stuck in his suite a lot

You really only got to go out when he had a show or the whole gang was out, or you were with him.

He still bought you whatever you wanted and told you he loved you to make up for you being lonely or bored, and you believed him every single time.

Because you were love struck.

And you would submit yourself to him for as long ask you could.

The more you guys started dating you felt insecure, because you hadn’t made love yet.

You didn’t know much about sex but you did know that a boyfriend did it when he loved his girlfriend.

And you waited and waited and waited.

But the time never came.

You dressed in smaller clothes, Tighter clothes, even secretly bought cute skimpy lingerie to get his attention.

But it got nothing out of him

What if he didn’t actually love you anymore??

You didn’t know how to feel.

“Elvis, why don’t you make love to me yet?, I mean I bet you did it with your other girlfriends, why not me?” You ask him, teary-eyed.

“Baby, you-your just special, I can’t just do that to you, I’ll do it when the time comes, when we get married I promise ya.” He convinces you as he kisses your nose

“Mm okay” You still felt unsuccessful, you wanted it now, it wasn’t fair.

But one thing you knew about Elvis is that he would never let you down.

You two got married when you were 20, you waited almost 3 full years,patiently to get married to him and it was finally happening

You felt like a little princess, Finally having their prince come save them.

It was a sweet ceremony in Las Vegas at a hotel and you were bursting with excitement because you remember what he promised you.

Your vows and rings were exchanged as well as a kiss and you we’re officially “Y/n Presley” it felt good.

But it also felt good when he made love to you that night.

He was really sweet and patient about it.

He kissed you through your pain and pleasures

Thrusting into you softly and you couldn’t get enough. It made tears well in your eyes

“Mm mhm I love you mama” he whispered in your ear as he was close thrusting faster as he groaned.

You guys were really happy and nobody could ever come between you guys.

After the wedding you guys began to settle down and enjoy life as a married couple but when you started to get older.

You and Elvis started to argue a lot more.

You we’re starting to mature more wearing shorter,sexier clothes and your attitude changed a bunch.

“What the fuck is wrong with you y/n”

“NOTHING ELVIS just because I want to wear different clothes doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with me”

“CANT YA SEE YOUR EXPLOITING YOURSELF, DO YOU SEE HOW GUYS STARE AT YA” He screamed as his tone got higher

“It’s not my fault he thought I was cute, Elvis”

These arguments occurred occasionally but both of you guys dealt with it

Because you both would be wrecked if one of you guys left eachother.

Oh my goodness! Thank you so much for this wholesome ask, Anon-friend! 🥺💖 I'm not sure I have the words to describe how much I absolutely love the Quagmire Triplets. They were my favorite ASOUE characters when I was kid and remain favorites of mine to this day, and I would absolutely love to write some headcanons about them for you. I hope you'll like them! 💕

Quagmire Triplets Family Headcanons

💙-- Hurt/Comfort

For the first couple of weeks after being reunited, Quigley, Duncan, and Isadora could only fall asleep if their sleeping bags were side by side. They never really discussed it, but they knew the reason was that they each feared that they would wake up and be separated again. They kept a dim light on as well because Duncan and Isadora had developed an intense fear of the dark due to their experiences being trapped in dark, crammed spaces and Quigley desperately needed that reassurance of seeing that his brother and sister were still there with him when he awoke from his nightmares. On particularly rough nights, they would all stay up into the early hours of the morning taking turns distracting each other by talking about mundane things like books they had read, recipes they liked, or even little facts about their hobbies they remembered. Occassionally they even reminisced about happier times and memories until they all finally felt safe and calm enough to fall asleep. On better nights, all it really took was Duncan patting his sister on the shoulder or Isadora ruffling her brother's hair or Quigley wrapping him arm around his siblings to let them know everything was okay now and they could all drift off to sleep.

💗-- Family

When the Quagmire triplets were very young, they each had matching raincoats and rainboots only in different colors. On rainy days, their mother and father would dress them up in their raincoats and rainboots and take them outside to jump in all the puddles together. Quigley was always concerned about making bigger and bigger splashes, so one day he had the bright idea that if the siblings all held hands and jumped in the puddle together they would make "the biggest splash ever." When they tried out Quigley's idea, however, Isadora ended up tripping and pulling her brothers down into the puddle with her on accident. Their father got a picture of the triplets sitting in the puddle and laughing together, and it used to be framed on one of the side tables in their living room.

Bonus: On one such rainy day in the faraway future, Quigley helps his son put on his tiny raincoat and rainboots and takes him outside to jump in all the puddles with his Uncle Duncan and Aunt Isadora excitedly joining in the fun.

💖-- Alternate Universe (AU)

In a Present Day/Modern AU (Where Everyone Lives)...

The Quagmire triplets and their parents live next door to the Baudelaire family, and the children are all best friends with one another and attend the same school. The kids hid a mailbox in between some of the hedges dividing part of their backyards and will often use it to write secret messages to each other. Mr. Quagmire and Bertrand Baudelaire (with the help of the children, especially Violet) also built a big treehouse that connects their backyards, and the kids play there together for hours and hours.

When they get a little older, Duncan and Quigley use a corner of a treehouse to film videos which are mildly successful online. Duncan mainly posts videos ranking various newspapers on different topics such as factual accuracy, op ed quality, choice in fonts ect. whereas Quigley compares different maps of the same area (i.e. a historical map versus a modern map or a topographical map versus a population map). A secret from even her brothers, Isadora has a bit of online fame herself as she publishes her poetry on the internet under a pseudonym.

@maturation​ hmmm not really :( i wrote some tips here for making teenagers look like teenagers, but it’s even harder to make them look like preteens 😭 i think the only time i pulled it off was with casper, and that was really just because he has a baby face without trying. i didn’t even try with asa because he’s so big, i just did a time skip to avoid the whole thing. i’m sorry i can’t help more!! it’s such a huge limitation of the sims :/

hey! i thought i had removed everything by pandasama, but there was actually a file called “animation_injector_changingtable” in my mods folder that was causing problems. delete it, then delete localthumbcache, then reload the game to see if it worked :) otherwise my other problem was an outdated TOOL mod, i thought i updated it but i actually downloaded an old version! (btw, pandasama’s other stuff works fine now, i put it all back after i finished testing. just make sure to update the childbirth mod if you have that)

yes it’s a main blog!! i would 1000000% recommend creating a new account for your simblr! it’s huuuge for visibility. it would be really hard for people to follow you back if your main blog is the one whose url is showing up; most people won’t go to the effort of clicking on your blog to find out if you have a simblr somewhere else. i created a separate email so that i could keep my personal blog as my main blog, but still have a new account for simblr :) also if you use firefox (which everyone should tbh), you can use the containers extension so that you don’t have to log in and out of your accounts all the time, you can just open them in two tabs!

okay it's kinda funny you said this because... well i don't want to give too much detail but i used to live between a historic cemetery, an honest to god abandoned psychiatric facility, and a building that's known to be one of the most haunted places in the state. but i still never felt or saw ANY ghosts. that's why i didn't believe for so long, because how can i be in the freaking bermuda triangle of ghost activity and never see one?? i'm still mad about it lmao, whether i believe in them or not, i've always wanted to see a ghost so bad. especially if they're just lonely! come to me and we can chill lol

oh wow yeah it’s always freaky when people who don’t seem like the type to believe in this kind of stuff tell you stories like this; it adds a new layer of credibility if you can eliminate all other options. like when people are grieving their loved ones, it’s normal to see/hear/smell them everywhere, and when you’re living in that fog of grief, you can mistake a lot of things for ghost activity that are actually just a result of you looking for patterns to make sense of it all. and i still think this is the case most of the time. i remember when my grandma died, my mom was understandably a complete mess, and she was always misplacing things in that time. but to this day, she still claims it was my grandma who was moving her water bottle, turning the stove on, etc. i’m still (and always will be) a very science minded person, so i’m always going to look at the other explanations first. sorry that was a tangent lmao but my point is, it’s always weird when someone down to earth says stuff like this. that would be so sad, but at least he was able to comfort them a little bit :( what an awful way to go :(

💖 what i like most about my writing is the dialogue. it’s what i’m most comfortable doing because that’s how i imagine my stories happening. i think that using a lot of dialogue helps give my characters strong and distinguished voice. and i like that, i want my characters to stand out and i want the reader to be able to tell who’s talking.

🏅im proud of myself for writing for an event! i’ve never participated in a fic event like this so yeah i am trying to challenge myself by writing for all the prompts. i’ve been a bit busy but i will get them done eventually 😹

🌝 i want to try writing all of the ikepri characters, you know, give them a fair chance. aside from leon, i think i’ve written for gilbert, chevalier, and clavis and i think that’s kinda weird because i don’t really like them a whole lot… on second thought i think it’s just me caving into the temptation in jumping onto the bandwagon of writing for popular characters (although i don’t think i did good enough because not many people seemed to have read the fics. okay im rambling too much anyways i would love to write for jin. he’s a challenge, but not too much of a challenge and i like that.

🤔 the hardest part of writing a fic? actually writing it. either i get distracted while i have my computer open because i’m focused on the video i put on for background noise. this is why i can’t listen to anything or have anything on while i work. ooh i think another thing that’s hard is getting things accurate. we do research for our fics so we can have them be accurate in whatever way. i don’t know if it’s just me but sometimes my idea and what i want to do doesn’t match up with what is historically accurate or medically or whatever accurate. so i also think that’s hard too.

Nathya, I am getting heart palpitations over your latest work. I was rolling around and having to pause in reading sometimes to scream in my hands over so many scenes. Some of my faves were ADeuce getting jealous over Trey being MC’s personal knight. Like the thought of Heartslabyul knights vying for your attention had my heart racing. my headcannon (or ig canon bc its my fic lol) is that ace became reader's playmate due to his brother, so unlike what reader thinks ace is definitely attached to reader lol. deuce i imagine came in later. my idea for him was that reader sort of just... recruited him from the streets during a trip to the town 😭 like whatever the historical equivalent of a delinquent was, deuce was that. and ace's brother was like "eyo what do we do with this brat causing trouble" and MC was like "huh, my knight said u were good at fighting? that ur a runner ur a trackstar? do u wanna be a knight then? the food is free itll help ur family worry less abt u" and then he was sold, and also basically MC gave him a chance to shape up so that's why he's attached

🌈 What inspired you to write Just A Crush (I have to ask about this one, it’s honestly one of my faves!)?

💖 What do you like most about your own writing?

🌈 Omg, really? 🥺 Thank you! It was actually inspired by a couple things, the first being my own grandparents. My grandmother was 12 the first time she saw my grandfather (who was 15, and he worked for the local bakery), and I guess she remembered him because the next time she saw him was when she was 15, and that's when she fell in love. Their love story wasn't as slow a burn as Meg and Bobby's, but the time leaps in the story were inspired by them! The second thing that inspired it was someone (I believe @becangle commenting somewhere that Bobby's usually the one to pine for MC and it would be cool if it were the other way around. Those two ideas combined to make up IJAC, which was on my mind for months before it actually came into being!

💖 I've said before that I like the versatility of my writing. I'm not big on metaphors and flowery language so you're not gonna find much of that (not because I don't like it, but because it doesn't come natural to me), but I've been able to adapt my writing style based on the type of story, the POV, and the tense. And I've been able to write villa fics, modern AUs, historical AUs, shitposts, smutty and non-smutty. I like feeling that every one of my fics brings something different to the table.

A: it would have to be love yourself 轉 tear by BTS - it's a masterpiece in every sense, capturing so many emotions in one album yet remaining cohesive. the lyrics are so clever and rich, it's their best comeback and i'd recommend to non kpop fans!

ladybug; what’s your favourite artist to listen to when you’re sad?

A: i think i would have to say tix! his songs and presence are very comforting to me (sure u can relate? hehe :3) - you've got the songs that touch the depths of your soul, and then the party songs if you want to pick yourself up out of a mood :D

paddywack; how would you describe a perfect date?

A: ok so i haven't been on a date yet, but to me a perfect date would be in private at mine or my s.o's - esp as a first date. i'd feel too pressured in public and i'd want to be relaxed as possible and not feel as if i have to perform or act a certain way. i'm a simple gal essentially, just ordering food in and having a movie marathon under lots of fluffy blankets with soft pillows so we can just talk comfortably about everything and anything - if it was summer i'd love to do this in a garden/picnic in a quiet park/forest area away from others to stargaze together 🥺🌌🔭

precious; what is something valuable that you learned in your life?

A: well in my short time on earth so far with little experience currently, it's to maybe live for yourself? obviously not be selfish, to give to those you trust and value but not burn yourself out/make yourself uncomfortable for the benefit of others. i think life is about the journey of figuring out what makes you feel happy and alive, to me the ultimate goal is happiness - when you are happy you are comfortable, calm, satisfied and free from anxiety.. truly free. idk if that answered it correctly but yeeyee aha~

whiffle; if you could have a magical power, what would it be?

A: to be able to heal others suffering - if you have infinite money you have a magical power essentially. you could end world hunger, provide for victims of war, give the homeless shelter.. etc. that's magic to me.

💖 What made you start writing? I've written my whole life. In the blood, I think. RE: Fanfiction, though, I think I needed to see the end to a story that hadn't uploaded for a long time. Just for my own satisfaction. Not published. (And porn got me into fanfiction, although I write all ratings).

🤯 What's a genre you struggle with as a writer (ex. romance, action, etc.)? Action can be hard to write, but is fun to write. I couldn't write a story that was pure action. I don't really like historical fiction, and not so much into science fiction (as anarchy cox also said), so I might struggle with those.

💥 How do you feel about criticism? In theory, I don't mind it, especially if it's well-supported. I also think that folks having an emotional visceral negative reaction to something you wrote because of the writing/topic matter, can be valid too. These discussions can be had. But I don't think that it should be a blanket statement with no further explanation. I can get as sensitive as anyone to criticism, but, again depending on where it comes from and how it's stated, it can help improve a piece of writing.

Hi!!!!!

First off, I am so obsessed with your level of investment in Jed and Octy because SAMEEE. Literally not at least 20 minutes go by that I don’t think about my teeny tiny historical hubbies an insane amount like…too much love💗💗🥺🥺

Second, I have WAYYYY too many thoughts about them and I felt like sharing this bc it’s one of my faves: I have this thing where from the outside looking in it seems that nothing can break Oct..Nothing..He’s an excellent general of great renown with such poise, regiment, and precision in a grand position of power and to most of Rome, he’s very intimidating. He’s physically built extremely well, carries himself with a lot of confidence, perfect posture, and always has a strong scowl or proud smile as a nobleman would. He leads the protecting armies of the land and is responsible for keeping it and its citizens safe and strong. He’s one of, if not the most, powerful man of the empire, so of course he’s unshakable.

“Hey Tavy!”

That is until a certain cute blonde haired cowboy comes strolling by…

When Jed comes around to see him every bit of Oct’s invincibility shatters. Disappears, vanishes, evaporates into thin air. When his eyes meet Jed’s deep blues, that confidence falls, he becomes bashful and giggly like a young boy. His strong expressions turn into crooked smiles and rosy cheeks, and his cold fearsome presence just melts and his heart twinges with bliss and giddiness. He becomes so warm and clumsy and relaxes completely. His stillness and poise breaks and he runs up to Jed and throws his arms around him into a tight embrace, swings him around, snuggles him all close and gives him a big ol stupid smiley kiss, and calls him a thousand adorable nicknames in Latin. He drops all formalities and everything around him ceases to exist except Jed. He becomes far too undone by his love to have the strength of a general or to even appear as one.

“Oh mea deliciae carissime, carissima, mea dulcissima! I am so happy to see you!”

Oct is also ridiculously tactile and can’t stop holding his hands, caressing his cheek, or touching him in some type of way…he’s just so touchy-feely he’s too in love. Jed loves that kind of attention tho🥺🥺♥️♥️

It's fun for me! I learn a lot of things while writing and I can always laugh at how a drabble leads to me checking some random historical stuff. Sometimes upon forming the fic's idea in my mind I make the mental note to check some stuff, other than that it's mainly in the process of writing. Sometimes I worry too much about research 😅

I love anything with romance!!! Fantasy always has a soft spot in my heart, but historical romance is my ultimate comfort genre! 💖💕

I literally have so many favorite colors 🤪. I love everything pink, it’s my go-to color, but it can be a bit hard to be to wear. I love softer purples because I think they are super dreamy. The color palette of a soft sunset is so beautiful to me. I also really love deeper, richer colors like maroons and emerald greens.

Yes😄I know I should spend more time on improving my skills but as a history student, it's really hard to resist the temptation to dig into historical details. When I'm drawing carlesme's wedding night a year ago I did this. I have an album full of photos of 17c dresses, 1920s clothes, and hairstyles as references.

hello lovely author ! this message might be a bit longer than anything usual, so i'm thanking you beforehand for reading if you do so! i couldn't dare to not be anonymous and go on with this but i want to tell you..a long. a few months ago i had read one historical yoongi au which i really liked in Wattpad but unfortunately it got taken down and i got to know that the fic was originally from ao3, so i began my hunt since then. each night my horny self who has a king yoongi kink ( 😭 ) would search for a nice fic, and i bumped into moonlit throne. well, what can i say more about your works. i especially like stories which have a slow burn, grinds like anything else but has a happy ending despite all the angst and when i saw the tags in your work i immediately clicked without any second thought. i immediately got attached to it after reading 2 chapters and i realised that it had become my comfort fic; i felt i myself got the answers to so many unknown questions bubbled inside me..i myself felt like i was the mc at each chapter, feeling everything in that fic myself (silly thing i know😭) and i wanna say, won't lie, heck of bs the mc is much more stronger than me, i actually cried so bad when he was getting married and the mc didn't shed a tear despite all the pain and torment she went through. i can't actually explain how happy i was at the final chapter but again it left me sad because we had come to a beautiful end to such a beautiful couple 😭 i don't know why didn't i comment anything but now it's a bit queer that i installed my long gone Tumblr back again just to thank you for literally saving me; i didn't know i wanted that but it was something i needed so badly that i feel that your fic has given me the answers to all the unanswered questions and has helped me heal from my past. i know it's a bit personal or even a bit irrelevant, but yet. your words are always framed so nicely in such a way that no matter how many times i read your works they never fail to amaze the fûck out of me. i have read all of your other works and they've amazed me so much like damn, you're really so skilled and i LOVE your writing style.

as for your question--all the historical information that i used in MLT can be found online. i read a lot of literary journals/studies as well as doing general online research. more info about that can be found here. i can't exactly give you permission to use terms like "jeonha" because they don't belong to me; they are from Korean culture! i would encourage you to do your own research online (even reading wikipedia can give you a good overview of a situation). it's okay to be new. i didn't know much about the joseon era either, before i started my research for MLT. i think when we put in the time to write a historical au in a culture, it's our duty to treat that era and the people that lived in it with respect. and part of that respect is to do our research and portray things accurately. so please do your best in this aspect!! i wish you all the best in your writing!!
