3. does their echo function like it does in the msq? or is there a twist to it?
yes and no. eyrie's echo functions the same with being able to peer into the memories of others and live those memories as their own, but on top of that eyrie's echo, for lack of a better word, echoes hydaelyn's love. through the echo, her love can't help but pour out of them and eyrie feels that love as if it were their own. whenever they have an echo vision of someone, they can't help but love that person in a godlike way. it's the most difficult part of coping with their echo, as they aren't built to be able to rationalize, fully feel and comprehend love like that. it's bizarre, disquieting, overwhelming, jarring; at times it makes them feel a bit out of their mind.
16. what does your wol do to relax? what sorts of distractions do they seek? do they foster any bad habits as a result?
they like to paint watercolor landscapes/people and enjoy working with pastels. they have little journals full of notes on errands or jobs sprinkled in beside sketches of the scions or the scenery. it helps center their mind and gets them working with their hands. they like to whittle too and have myriad little animal carvings around. they aren't the best, but they're cute enough and they like to give away the finished ones, or leave them behind in places for people to find.
23. are there any side quest storylines that you're particularly fond of or think of as being canon to your wol's experiences?
there's a good chunk of sidequests in the game that i do think are canon for eyrie, even if they are simple little gold quests littered about the area. a lot of the shadowbringers quests, particularly in the rak'tika greatwood.
but, there's one particular one in Ishgard where due to the dragon attacks, people are in dire straits and need firewood to be kept warm. you're told by the knights most heavenly that there is wood from the destroyed homes that can no longer be used to rebuild and thus is fit for burning. so you distribute it and there's a little elezen girl who offers to distribute the rest of the wood for you. going back to the tell the quest giver and she informs you that the young elezen girl is a known thief and now you have to get the wood back.
she's later involved in a string of issues having to do with stolen money and such, but the quest after that is you discover that she was killed. you're told all of this secondhand and in such a way that is deeply jarring. like this is a child. but, you're tasked with taking her meager belongings and bringing them to camp cloudtop as the young girl always wanted to escape being in Ishgard, but was never given the chance.
7. how does receiving or not receiving feedback/support impact you?
10. how has writing positively impacted your mental health or overall mood?
11. Has a fic you’ve written ever caused issues/controversy?
17. What’s the best engagement/interaction/feedback you’ve received from someone who’s read your work?
hello darling /blows u a kiss
7. I live for the ao3 emails tbh. The "You've Got Kudos!" is my daily serotonin. Comments delight me and I screenshot and throw them at my friends like "LOOK AT THIS PERSON." I get kinda sad if I get no responses, I'm like d-did I do something wrong? Even though I write for me lmao
10. I was going through a bad depression at the start of this year caused by autistic burnout on a massive scale and writing has basically ripped me out of that so that I can function. I currently use it like a carrot on a stick to combat executive dysfunction. You can write if you finish x chore. dnvkjjdk It works well.
11. Controversy, no, but I had an actual stalker over an OnS fic on ffnet, who used to send me really scary messages demanding I write things I was not comfortable with. It's actually the reason I stopped writing for so long, and when I came back I reinvented myself completely. Old aliases buuuurn
17. God there's been so many that I consider good. Every time someone throws anything they've created at me over my fics, I lose my mind in delight. Art? Moodboards? "This song reminds me of your story"? Playlists? Fics based on mine? I lose my absolute marbles. W&G gets so much support and I huff that like fumes and start floating and my voice does the helium thing
#4 and 44 for the spotify wrapped? or your fave number. or all 3;)
#4 - "Akuma No Ko" by Higuchi Ai
Yeahhhhh this one shocked me actually. I was obsessed with this when the new AOT season came out (its the ending song) and I played it in the car a lot. I haven't actually listened to it regularly since last spring so that means I racked up enough plays in those few months alone for it to stay in the top 5.

#44 - "ZOMBIFIED" by Falling In Reverse
Guys this song slaps and it slaps hard. There is nothing else to say.

#31 (My Pick!) - "GRAVITY" by Kevin Penkin
Every time a new Made in Abyss ost comes out, it gets binged. Kevin's soundtracks are like crack for my brain. The orchestration, the vocals, the BASS (ooooof <333), I devour it. This track has all of that so I'm showing it off and yelling about it. It's my favorite new find (my treasure, you might say) of the last few months. If it had come out earlier than November, it would be a looooot higher on the list I promise ye that.

Thanks for the ask! Music is my favorite passion to talk about <3
Are there certain comments you’ve received on your stories that have stuck with you?
hello!!! this ask was such a nice surprise!!
and yes!! there are so many only because everyone here is so kind and wonderful!!
but the comments that always stick with me and cheer me up on bad days are the super simple ones with like keyboard smashes, or on the rare occasion that i write something angsty, threatening legal action fdjksalfjdsa
if you find yourself asking "how shall i spend the next one minute and 52 seconds?", i implore you to turn to the Wansa-kun opening for the most joyful way to fill the time. isn't this wonderful
between flowers, in the arms of the people that i adore, looking a beautiful field of flowers, feeling and living a very different (and happier) winter. watching the trees blushing in beautiful colors of fall. being free under the moonlight, hopeful on a january night.
