So I've had this RvB au bouncing around in my head

You know those like "tattoo artist x florist" au's? It started as a Grimmons one of those, but it turned into "the Reds and Blues all own shops in a mall or something along those lines and antics ensue"

The Grif sibs run a piercing/tattoo place (Kai does piercings and Grif does the tattoos), Simmons is new to the area and just opened a flower shop. Church does IT/has a computer shop that also does tech repair. Tex is Kai and Church's biker girlfriend. Caboose runs a puppy day care. Donut runs a clothing shop where he even makes and sells some of his own designs. I was thinking Doc might have a vegan food place? Or Flowers might run the vegan food place, I haven't decided yet. Idk yet what Tucker's doing, maybe helps Church and Caboose out. I was thinking Sarge might run a gym, maybe a gym for veterans? No one quite knows what Tex does for work, anytime someone asks her she makes a comment like "I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you" and people can't tell if she's joking or serious so no one pushes further than that.

I don't 100% know what's gonna happen plot wise yet, I do have it planned tho that Simmons and Church meet because Tex saw Simmons putting up fliers for the opening sale of his flower shop and Tex loves messing with Church so she told Simmons he could put one on Church's window, knowing that Church hates when people do that. Church gets pissed but Simmons mentions that Tex said he could and maybe he had the wrong place, and Church just sighs and rolls his eyes and says that Tex's his girlfriend and was just fucking with the both of them, but Church has somewhere inside Simmons could put a flier up.

I think the fragment AI's (except Tex course) are gonna be Church's siblings. Church doesn't talk about them a ton, but they visit Church's shop a decent amount so everyone's met at least one of them. Sometimes people get confused over it like- "oh I think Church's brother just drove past" "Church's brother??" "yeah?" "isn't his brother like 8?" "no? He's in his 20's?" "no way- Theta's like 8" "Theta? I was talking about Delta, who's Theta?" "who's Delta?" Tex, Wash, and a few others used to work with some of them so those guys know that Church just has a fuck ton of siblings, but they keep quiet about it because they think it's funny.

I also think that Simmons is gonna low key express his feelings to Grif through flowers. Simmons isn't great with his words and won't know how to say "I don't even know what your sexuality is or if you like guys but I like you even though I think you're annoying sometimes and you can get on my nerves but I still think it's kinda cute" so he just says it in flowers. Grif doesn't catch on, he just thinks Simmons is being nice or doing free advertising for his flower shop by giving Grif flowers to put up in his and Kai's place. Until Doc comes over one day, sees the flower arrangement, and points out what it means. Grif has a big gay panic moment, realizes he fell in love with Simmons, and just kinda "that nerd?! What do I even do?!"

Idk what'll happen at that point, probably the Reds and Blues taking turns dragging Grif through a "if you really wanna impress Simmons you gotta do [ insert thing here ]"

Again this is majorly wip so some things may change

In general up until like season 11 most of the women in the show are very one dimensional and they're often ignored until they can move along the guys plotlines. They’re also focused on a lot less. Aside from like. Carolina. The girls are all shelved over and over. Kai just got straight up removed for like 7 seasons. Comparing the girls to Redteam. Both are part of the plot but aren’t the main focus of the story, but red team gets fleshed out dynamics, diverse characters, multi faceted personalities, even Donut the guy whose personality is “gay jokes” gets hobbies and friends and interesting interactions. And the girls get. The angry one. Died to further the plot. Party girl. Hell Tex gets killed over and over to give motivation to the Churches. A lot of the depth and complexities of the girls has to be made up by the viewer. And while there are good women leaders in the show, there are like no girls who are allowed to have character development sans Carolina. They’re not allowed to make mistakes or grow from them. Their shows of emotions aren’t taken seriously by anyone around them. The girls are for the most part not allowed to be anything but perfect. When they make any mistakes they're immediately made out to be the bad guys. South is literally designed to be hated for traits that she shares with people like Sarge and Church. Ct is killed to give Wash trust issues and as a way to push her bf guys existence into the story and explain desert!ct. In general I absolutely love the girls and think they deserve better than what they got. For the person (tried to @ them but tumblr wont let me?) in the comments of one of my posts who asked me to explain why i think the way rvb women are written isn't good, thanks btw /gen. I love excuses to write out my thoughts <3

Alright so i've got a few of these down right. so this whole pet assigning thing started with me imagining sarge with a puppy, and naming that puppy warthog. ITS SO FUCKING UCTE urggg "get in the warthog" fucking dog trots over at the sound of his name "no! warthog stay! down boy." and then theres just a whole bit where hes tryna get warthog to back off or sum idk its silly. What breed of dog would this be though? See I was thinking toy poodle because while i feel like he wouldnt choose it, its cute as fuck so who gives a shit right? Bernese Mountain Dog. Think about it, I did. For a good like 10 minutes while leaving my friend on read because i was thinking so fucking hard. So we either have a toy poodle or bernese mountain dog and I cant get over it, the two are the most best guesses ive got. He walks into the shelter, donut or some1 bringing him there for wtv and he sees this tiny ass toy poodle chewing on a blue dog toy and boom, its his tactical toy poodle he has in his manly tactical purse. While bernese is like so insanely silly its great, the dog knocking sarge over in excitement and sarge trying to order him to attack grif but giving up with a nuetral grunt and saying. "maybe tmrw" or smth ITS SO FUCKING ISLLLY but also maybe beagle just trhowing that out theres would be so sfucking silly too OKAY and then after that we move on to donut right? i got this one almost immediately, parrot. no questions needed, parrot. I cant exactly see donut with parrot.

We get to grif right, Lizard. HEar me out, grif with a bearded dragon. not sure why not sure how but holy shit i fucking love it man.

Doc. See this ones a bit hrmmm not sure because it has to satisfy both doc and omalley and i for somereason think; golden retreiver. doc would have tried to suggest smaller dogs, hes likely looking for a dog ok to be like near people and maybe even like be atherapy dog and omalleys like fuck that these dogs r for pussies and then doc gets to golden retreiver and hes like, i mean sure and boom silly.

Simmons, bunny or guinea pig. feels right.

Tucker, like the legend this mother fucker is. has a snake, simmons kkeeps his distance as things have likely happened multiple times on purpose or not. chicks dig snakes. (im chicks(im a whole male))

caboose already had a pet. RIP.

Church honestly not sure with this dude, could also see him having a lizard or cat. confusing fella. OH MY GOD WAIT hedgehod im sorry it has to be done church with a hedgehog i need it.

Now if lopez to able to have a pet, right? id like to think maybe a small dog, and he wouldnt out right look for it but he'd find it right, it would have 3 legs and probably be struggling a bit to get around and lopez would take him in and make like a little wheelchair thingy for the little dog and then they become best friends.

tex? not sure honestly, maybe she'd think having a pet is dumb? and i think carolina would just like not be into it really.
