I don't want to get your hopes up, but I low-key miss posting? 👉👈
I have a lot of unfinished drafts, (like 72) and this one didn't make the cut because if I remember correctly, I thought it was too ooc or something lol.
Idk, maybe I'll get back to uploading again :>
---
Cale but his spice tolerance is fucking ridiculous
Beacrox is trying to perfect a spicy recipe and Cale wants to taste so he lets him with a warning that it's pretty spicy
Cale tries it anyway and doesn't make a face, doesn't to that breathing inwards thing or anything. He nonchalantly puts his spoon down and is like- "Pretty good, could use some more spice though."
And Beacrox, bless his heart, has to do a double take. Like- "?????"
He'd let others try samples and they were suffering for at least 30 minutes
His young master, who detests sour things and has a sweet tooth, said he wants more chili flakes???
Not what he was expecting but oh well-
So like those fics where the children want Beacrox and Cale to have a cook-off, Raon picks the spicy category
He hears Cale whispering to himself "okay mild spices" and thinks nothing of it.
Once they're done, Cale's dish is inedible to everyone but Choi han
It looks delicious and everyone wanted to try some but after bud tried it first and almost died they've been rightfully nervous-
(some wanted to take the risk- it's not every day you can taste something the young master cooked personally)

Do you think Cale would stand along the edges of the group when they're all happy and domestic sometimes...? Just feeling kind of disconnected and distant because this amount of happiness and this amount of closeness was just a distance dream when he was roksoo
Maybe he watches the children get praised and he's so proud of them, but can't help but feel the dull ache of jealousy. Of course, he would also add to the pile of praise and love, but deep inside his inner child just... Aches. Deep inside he just wishes he could've had this when he was younger. The praise, the love, the gentle touches full of warmth. Maybe he just can't help but feel so far away because it feels so.. unreal. He's never had the chance to properly grow up, so he definitely wishes for these kids to grow up happy, loved, cherished, and healthily. Hell, he will make sure they do.
Maybe he freezes when the kids first begin to hug him? The warmth is foreign, but not unwelcome... So he indulges them. Giving them the love and affection that he wishes he received as roksoo. Turns out he's also touch starved as well, so he grows to love these interactions with the children. Eventually he starts initiating them by himself, finding his hand gently carding through On or Hong's hair, or maybe his hand rubbing circles on the small of Rain's back? But only for the children. Children are honest, children are safe. He doesn't know how to tell his friends he wishes to be closer. So he keeps quiet, inner child longing and aching.
He watches the way Ron interacts with Beacrox. The way on the outside they're stoic and seemingly cold, almost like some sort of business exchange. He sees it though. The way Ron's eyes soften when he watches his son cook, the pride that swirls behind those eyes just for his son. He feels in an outsider. Sure, he has his family, but could he really be considered theirs? He feels like an imposter, coming into their home with their son's body and face, so he only watches as they bond. The warmth of just being within distance is both soothing and never enough. He distances himself in hopes of keeping these pesky feelings in check. He tells himself to be happy with what he has because it's already a blessing to have so many people who stay with him because they want to be with him.
Maybe he doesn't know how to interact with parental figures, feeling awkward when they welcome him. His mind convinces him that their welcome is just polite. When he agrees to act as Naru, he thinks of it as just a deal. Both parties benefit from it. As Fredo continues to shower him with gifts and love, he finds himself relaxing in the warmth. Just for a bit. Then he walls himself off again. He receives a toy as a gag gift one day. Some sort of play set that they (maybe Alberu and Rosalyn) think would make him give them a deadpan look in return. They're shocked as they silently watch Naru's eyes sparkle as he explores the set. His touch soft, so so soft, as if the toys were an illusion that would crumble away if he were to rough. They expect a sarcastic "thanks" with some sort of annoyed look paired with it. Instead they watch from behind their disguised friend, barely hearing the whispered "...thank you" because Naru's voice is just above a whisper. (His ears are red as he thanks them, he doesn't turn away from the set. Too happy to have received it because it resembles the one he had always longingly gazed at through the display windows. He couldn't ask for it, so he just looks on, smaller hands pressed against the cool glass in his memory).
He's on guard while he stays with Fredo, but his inner child can't help but cheer at the unlimited food and sweet. Happy to be able to just receive instead of all the give give give he's had to do growing up. He feels warm as he nibbles on a cookie, sitting on a plush couch.
Cale is too scared though. He doesn't reach out, bringing this love closer to him and claiming them as his. He just accepts the in the moment love that's directed towards him, grateful for what he can get.
And they slowly begin to notice the longing in his eyes. The way he attentively watches as the children are introduced to more games and experiences. (It hurts them more later on when they learn what kind of world he had grown up in as Roksoo).
Cale doesn't seem to notice the loving looks he receives from the people around him. He just assumes that it isn't for him. So when Eruhaben starts to press his cool hands against his forehead, gently grasping his face as the dragon checks him over for any more injuries... He finds himself overjoyed. Confused, but overjoyed.
Or when he finds himself noticing how Rosalyn and Choi han seem to sit ever so closer, with their legs pressed against his and their arms brushing against him. He finds himself relaxing, just appreciating the feeling of being close with them.
Cale treasures the people around him. They notice how Cale feeds the children before himself, watching them eat for a few minutes before he breaks out of some sort of train of thought. (He can't forget the days where food was limited. The cries of poor, innocent children when their stomachs felt like they would just collapse inwards and consume itself. He doesn't ever want to see the people he loves have to think before eating, rationing off some incase there isn't food next time). Alberu gifts him more snacks-- batches of cookies that are easily shared and plentiful enough that he doesn't hesitate before eating some himself. Beacrox cooking more and more, trying to show that if Cale asked, he will receive. How there's plenty of food to go around.
(he grew up in such an unstable environment that being this secure feels like a dream).
I wanna write a fic... But I'm not that confident in my writing sdjdjhff

Of hiding and denials part 3
…or instances where Cale tries to hide that he is insecure, and has trust and abandonment issues in so many ways.
9. And the person who sees all the things he's been hiding
Cale: How do you do it?
Alberu: What?
Cale: Live here. With the people who ruin your life every single day. Your stepmother tries to kill you regularly.
Alberu: It's hard but there is no place for me to go. It's called a gilded cage for a reason. You?
Cale: My father has this stupid idea that locking me in the territory and forcing his new family on me is a great idea to get to know them. Been wishing to get away from them for years.
Alberu: It's ironic when you think about it. They lock you in even though they know you want to get out and use any means to keep you locked in. But they complain about you feel about them at the same time.
Cale: He's supposed to be smart but acts like a fool.
Alberu: Sounds like my father. Can't control his urges and leaves his fruits to fend for themselves. How about we start again, Young Master? Hi! I'm Alberu – the First Prince of this Kingdom and I eat murder attempts for breakfast
Cale: … I'm Cale, Lout extraordinaire and alcohol connoisseur. I'm shocking I know. Pleased to meet you, Alberu.
Credits and shoutout to people (friends, colleagues and other people who deal with neglect individually and professionally) who graciously given their go signal to use their lines and experiences for this prompt. We live via Cale vivaciously and we can only hope we had even an ounce of his looks. There so many instances and stories that I want to include but it will be a never-ending post…

The more I delve into the tcf fandom, the greater the urge to find some more Cale and Kim Roksu interactions as twins. Like... they're both so similar yet different.
OG Cale is a master actor. He tricked so many people into believing his facade and I'm curious to see more of his scarily good acting skills. But he also has the temper of a raging fire. His fury is apoplectic and while he doesn't have the strength to hurt someone, his sharp tongue and wit can cut boulders. He might not be able to rain upon real knives or magic spells upon his enemies, but he'll make up for it with words that'll sting followed by quick and unsuspecting attacks.
Meanwhile Kim Roksu has the poker face of a blank stone, with only tiny cracks showing in his emotionless facade. When he's angry, it's a chilling cold. Like snow falling, freezing over hell before he unleashes the fury of an unforgiving storm.
They're mainsplain, manipulate, and manslaughter in a single package. Plus three if they allowed their companions to join in their schemes.
They are both different yet similar. And I'm pretty sure if they ever teamed up (like in a twin AU or something) the world would have knelt in front of them by now. If they haven't already. Any god certainly can't stop these duo. Plus, it'll be pretty cool to watch them work together and being out maximum terror upon unsuspecting victims.
That, and I desire to see more of OG Cale being the spitfire, trash talking, vicious noble who wouldn't hesitate to throw any nearest object at someone he hates. Bonus points if Kim Roksu is behind him, ready to throw salt onto their wounds before burying them in the ground.

Summary to a TCF Pirate AU fic I will never write
“Kim Rok Soo woke up in the body of the drunkard son of a fallen duke. With no home to return to and nothing to his name, the now “Cale” decides his best option is to explore the seas of this unknown world.
Battles will be fought, alcohol will be drunk, children will be adopted and maybe even love will be found along the way?”

When Cale was fighting in the war all he had wanted was to go home. To lock himself out and lay beside his family's grave. But he had to fight, if he didn't then everything he had would be gone and destroyed again. Burned into ashes by the White Star.
.
As Cale stood in front of the White Star, the only thing he could think was "I'm going home soon." He knew this was his end, he couldn't help but be irritated by it.
.
He would be the only one not buried with his family.
.
His death was not fast. So he flees. Trying to come back to his home. But he knew in his heart he couldn't return. He tries anyway to come back and finally reach them even just this once - even just in death.

TCF IDEA 3
The Laziest God: Rock Soup!
.
My name is actually Rok Soo, Kim Rok Soo. I'm not a hero, and I'm not a legend. I'm just some trashy human that wanted to do nothing but photosynthesize under the sun, and maybe farm a little bit.
I did manage to do that. I had some kids, I grew old, I watched the newer generation grow up... It was a good life. I left peacefully without pain, just like I wanted.
But now, I'm granted an immortal life through godhood, something I don't even want.
And my first task as a god? I need to find someone to become my priest and saint. They'll be the ones to guide my would-be followers after all.
How annoying. Good thing a god fades if they don't get any followers within a specific time-frame! I'll just ignore the worlds until my time to fade comes!!!
*insert pitiful child here*
Goddammit.
.
Some notes/headcanons for this idea:
- The gods are able to interact with many worlds, but there is a world where they usually main at, or where they are widely recognized as one of that world's major god.
- Kim Rok Soo, who is now able to see all these worlds immediately ignores them in favor of getting himself to fade as fast as possible. He doesn't want to take responsibility for anything.
- But then, he sees one pitiful child, two, three, ten, one hundred, one thousand, many pitiful children (and children is used very loosely here, because in Kim Rok Soo's age, almost anyone younger than him is a child) all from different worlds. And he wants to at least help them get back up on their feet so that they could live their life to the fullest.
- But gods cannot interfere with mortal life... the most they can do is talk to their priest/priestess/saint/saintess/ whatever else they are called. The least a god can do is appear in their dreams.
- Which is troublesome. Really. And he could have just given up, you know? The world will still turn, and it's not like the worlds will immediately get destroyed if he interferes. It's also not like pitiful children never existed either. They've always existed. Mostly because as long as there are living beings, there will always be something that threatens your existence and makes your life miserable.
- But the cries of the children gets louder and louder. And Kim Rok Soo decides that he won't be able to fade peacefully, not unless the worlds are quiet and filled with laughing children instead of crying ones.
- And so, because he's a god, he could split his existence in order to accommodate different worlds with all the different children.
.
- For each chapter, it's a different child, one who's existence stood out to Kim Rok Soo.
- And for each world, he chooses the trashiest (but not so trashy) people to become his appointed one. Why? Because they're not that bad, and sometimes trash are just super stupid in how they protect the people they love (*cough*KRS you hypocrite*cough*).
- And it’s also so that all the praise goes to these trashy people instead, who will now live a new life as a hero~~ (He's bitter about how he became hailed as a hero in his old life, yes).
- He also called himself a "voice in your head that suddenly gained consciousness" to these people.
- "I guess now, I'm your conscience. And I will keep pestering you until you do something about these people, because they reeeeeally look pitiful. You don't have to hide how much you sympathize with them, they just want some help with making their situation better... And hey! With me, you now have complete awareness of how much you sympathize with them until you grow the skill to empathize!!"
- "... I liked it better when my head was filled with my stupid thoughts."
- "Yeah, I know. Unfortunately, no one gets what they want, I never asked to be given form, but maybe I'll fade once you learn how to help these pitiful people, yeah??"
.
- KRS is such a little shit, the god of death and CJS are super amused. They're waiting for the day that KRS will get caught.
- And, yes, the KRS that became a god in this fic is indeed the KRS that became Cale Henituse in TCF. When he died, the poeple he knew are either reincarnated or haven't died yet. Some stayed only to greet him before moving on.
- Sometimes, he visits his original world to see how much Raon had grown. He smiles when he sees Raon with newly adopted childrne of his own, and an egg of his own (I believe regardless of gender, dragons are able to create their eggs through magic/mana... I don't know the difference between the two but there's a fic that inspired this headcanon!! Please read it! It’s so fluffy!! uwu)
.
- The day KRS gets caught for being a god is in an alternate world/universe where there are the very same people as the world he was from (he’s actually encountered a lot of those, and this is just one of them), except Cale Barrow didn't want to become a god, and became a baker instead. The lives of the people he knew of were better also.
- In this world, Cale was still deciding to become trash because he hated how people were dissing how he 'got two moms (Jour is alive in this world, whoa) that he wholeheartedly love, and that's not normal, where's the family drama???' and all that sh*t, about Basen not being his blood brother (but Cale knew that family is more than blood), and everything else that needed a good smack.
- KRS sighed. He already had an assigned priest in this world (because KRS intervened years before in this world to prevent Cale Barrow from becoming the White Star, he was too late for the ancient people tho... but in other worlds, he wasn't too late to save the ancient people, and the people who were his ancient powers from the Ancient White Star).
- And maybe this is where the plot thickens too. Because now, KRS is investigating his appointed people who mysteriously died, and he can't find the source. But once he has, he predicted that the next targeted priest is the one in this Cale's world.
- He told his priest about what he's doing, and will be keeping a close eye on him, but for now, "can you please tell this brat that acting like trash and making himself miserable is the stupidest decision ever? PLEASE? Tell him it's okay to be trash, but it's not okay to make himself suffer for it??"
- The priest in this world is Adin, because he does not have Arm influencing him, and the Imperial Family had been doing well (even if it's still a bit questionable, but KRS isn't really one for morals as long as people are happy and not suffering), but Adin was still THIIIIIIIS close to become a full-blown psychopath if KRS didn't intervene by saying, "Kill that man, or suffer! I have appointed you as my Saint!"
- This is also the first time he referred to himself as a god to ANY of his appointed people.
- The only good thing is that Adin didn't want to broadcast his Saint status, which is a BIG RELIEF on KRS' part.
- Adin hates it, btw. Being a Saint for a god who says doesn’t care about anything but "Oh, Adin, can you be a good boy and smack that man? He's been abusing his son, apparently. One smack, and I'll let you do whatever you want... towards that man. Not to anyone else. THANK YOU!!"
- He learns how to love it. Little by little. Babysteps.
- It was really funny seeing a man who loved torturing his subjects (he didn't go to the extremes yet, because of KRS's intervention, but it was close............. CLOSE) learn how to be compassionate.
- It was EXTREMELY funny seeing Adin take literal years to become the good man he is today, too.
- Adin sighs and pretends to hate the request, but prepares his things anyways. And then he heads to Rain City, finds the young master Cale gathering his courage in the alleyway, muttering the mantra, "I'm going to tell a baker that his bread sucks because today will be the day I turn trash!" and picks Cale up like a kitten.
- But it's also that time when the people after KRS' appointed ones attack.
- "Adin, use the silver shield."
- Adin uses the silver shield to block the mana attacks. Then, he uses his own strength to knock down the people.
- All was quiet...
- But then...
- "This!! THIS YOUNG MAN SAVED THE YOUNG MASTER CALE!!"
- "Young Master Cale is this way!!" Because apparently, Cale ran away from home in order to practice his trashy acts because doing it in his house.
- "THIS YOUNG MAN SAVED YOUNG MASTER CALE FROM BEING KIDNAPPED!"
- "YOUNG MAN SILVER LIGHT!!!!"
- Adin glares to the sky. 'THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT, YOU STUPID FUCKING TRASH GOD!'
- KRS hums. "This is actually my first time getting cussed out... It's actually refreshing. Because I really am trash."
- Adin wanted to smack this god for being stupid and calling himself trash. Because this god?? Trash?? Adin REALLY can't see it.
- "Uhm... Mister?? Can you put me down now??" Cale was still being carried by his collar.
.
- Anyways. Adin gathered the enemies who were actually after him and began interrogating them.
- An organization that can travel through worlds that had something against KRS, apparently. Who these people are and what they want from KRS, Adin doesn't know. He didn't know this god enough to know all the foolish things this foolish god had done.
- The good thing is, KRS is now working on getting rid of them, and Adin doens't have to do anything else...
- But... 'Hey, at least tell me your name??'
- "So you can spread it? No. Not happening. I don't want a temple being built in this world either."
- 'Do you want to be called 'bastard god' for all eternity?'
- "Yes. Especially when people will think that you're referring to other gods, except myself."
- Adin rolls his eyes. 'Don't worry, Bastard God is your loving nickname. Just tell me your name this once, and that I'll forget about it.'
- '...My name is Cale Henituse.'
- "Nice try. I guess I'll be building a temple after all."
- "... My name is actually Kim Rok Soo."
- Adin mutters out loud, "Kim Rok Soo..." and chuckles. "That's a weird name for a god."
- "Your god's name is Rock Soup????"
- Surprised, Adin turned around. It looks like he let his guard down, because he didn't notice Cale approaching him... at all. KRS sighed in his head. "At least he got my name wrong."
- Adin smiled. "Yeah, and he's the laziest motherfucker ever! He's always asking me to do his bidding, so I call him Bastard God."
- Cale frowns. "Won't Rock Soup-nim smite you?"
- 'This kid is so precious' Both Adin and KRS thought. (Me thinks so, too, uwu)
- "Nah," said Adin. "He won't admit it, but I'm his favorite child."
- "You're my fifth favorite child, actually. The first three goes to my children. The fourth goes to my very first appointed one."
- 'All I'm hearing is that in this world, I'm your number 1 favorite.'
- "You'll become the sixth if Cale keeps being precious, by the way."
- '...Somehow, I don't even mind.'
- Adin goes to teaching Cale how to be recyclable trash, by the way, and becomes Cale's favorite Hyung.
- Then, Adin goes to reveal his status as the Imperial Prince Adin, and the Henituse family is no longer being bothered. Yippee!!
.
- BUT ALSO
- “CROWN PRINCE SILVER LIGHT!!!!”
- ‘MOTHER FUCKING BASTARD GOD!!!!!!’

Tcf/lcf Prompt | time cryptid Thames’
{Ps. I haven’t read part 2 yet and I skimmed some parts that I deemed boring and/or was spoiled cause reading 700+ worth of chapters is too tiring and mentally straining}
You know on how people/characters with time related abilities/experience are cryptic or quirky af?
Like I guess if you know the future or keep on regressing it would probably put a mental strain on u or smth. Maybe that’s why I don’t think anyone with a time related ability is sane and would be a little bit unhinge in some way. They would probably be morally dubious/grey at best especially if they experienced death too [regression via death].
So if the Thames Household studies time and the Annual Tree has been passed around[?] in the bloodline, would the Thames’ experience the effects of some type of distortion??
If I remember correctly [I kinda skimmed that part cuz I got lazy and impatient] transmigration is one they haven’t studied deeply. They know more about reincarnation, regression[?] and one lifers [I think they called tribulators? Idk] so it probably means they found a way to study them.
I think that either they found a person that experienced a time anomaly to help with their studies[which is unlikely], or the Thames’ managed to keep on experiencing those time anomalies and documented it themselves for their descendant's to study those said records/journals. I personally think it’s that latter tbh.
If their bloodline does keep on experiencing this sort of thing would they have some eventual adaptation to it? Considering the mind would fracture under pressure due to the maybe frequent time distortion what would it be like? Maybe like Dokja’s [ F O U T H W A L L ]??
Anyways back to the Thames’ being cryptids.
I really like this idea that the Thames are cryptid af. I mean look at the current family;
Cale’s uncle is who knows where. We just know he exist somewhat.
Jour Thames’ consciousness that was on the ap resembles of ‘that quirky girl in high school’ (tho she probly is).
krsCale (who’s technically a Thames via transmigration) is just obsessed with his ‘Slacker Life’ <which will never happen> and money.
ogCale literally pretended to be trash just so that his brother can inherit instead of just asking.
{I know it’s bc of the extended Henitsue’s but he’s a child cut him some slack. Why does the child have to adjust instead of the adults?!?}
Speaking of the cryptids topic. What if the Thames’ got mistaken for a fae or something? Those in the Thames bloodline are ethereally beautiful/pretty that there is a chance that they might get mistaken for a mythical creature. [or maybe there are jk ]
{lmao it reminded at the amount of times cale got mistaken for a dragon}
Personality wise
I kinda want the Thames’ to wear elegantly tailored clothes but with the occasional steampunk clockwork design or accessories here and there like a watermark. Like if Cale would wear a simple yet elegantly pleated tunic and simple pants he would obliged to wear either an hour glass earring or necklace. Or integrating it in the design of the outfit somewhat.
Anyways this is just my ADHD brain rot running wild and need an outlet thank u for listening for my Ted talk :)

Trash of the counts family idea where the white star convinced that Cale Henituse is a reincarnator (and expounding on his own identity issues) gets one of his spies in Roan to gift Cale a 'mirror of truth' that like, reveals your true self/ shows the truest reflection of how you perceive yourself on the inside. So, for instance, Choi Han looks like an older man in its reflection as he *knows* he's older than he appears and Beacrox actually looks a little younger than he is because of the fact he still feels like a child when compared to his father.
The thinking is that Cale Henituse will unveil the gift and the reflection everyone sees will be of a completely different man instantly outing him and then his biggest thorn in his side will be, in his plan, cast aside and lose support as his allies realise the man is not who they think he is.
What actually happens; is that it *is* Cale Henituse in the mirror, since Cale automatically accepted that that is who he is now when he first woke up and by this point its where he's stopped thinking of himself as 'cale, not Kim Rok Soo,' but even if it wasn't - this body *is* Kim Rok Soo now just as much as it is Cale Henituse so why would it be anyone else in the reflection?? The only caveat.
All of the scars from his life as Kim Rok Soo appear in the mirror. Cale may not have them anymore, but they are part of *him*. So to an outside perspective, the commander is exactly as he expresses himself to be, but that he... thinks he's horrifically scarred. Every inch of skin, the face, the neck, *the hands* of the man in the mirror is covered by scars that tell of torture and dismay. And now that people look at the reflection properly; the reflection looks more like *Deruth* than the real Cale.
His hair is more ginger than it is blood red - a more realistic blend of Deruth's brown and Jour's red.- and his eyes are the same colour as Deruth's as well. It wasn't immediately recognised since Cale's eyes already look similar but it's more obvious now that people are looking. And the reflection looks like that because Cale doesn't know what Jour looks like, he only knows Deruth and to him Cale Henituse is Deruth's child so it's reflected in the mirror.
From an outside perspective it suddenly looks like Cale Henituse's internal image of himself is one that is severely damaged but is also one that looks more like he could call himself his father's son.

I have enjoyed some of the TCF reaction fics, but I feel like there's a major problem.
Namely, that it's really hard for fic writers to stay motivated for over 700+ chapters, so it feels like they all start off strong for the beginning (especially rescuing Raon) and then peter out. We never get to the really good stuff.
Never reach that flashback when Cale reads the letter from the GoD, or see reactions to Choi Han rushing over to see Kim Rok Soo after getting Choi Jung Soo's records. Never have them see the Sealed God's test, and really... Post-apocalyptic Korea horrified Alberu, for good reason. Not that it's explicitly stated, but when is it ever? He had quite the reaction when he was trying to decide what to tell everyone else.
I've had some thoughts on how I would do it, but fair warning - I'm not much of a writer, and will probably never write it. All my respect for the ones that regularly write fanfic because I have like - less than a handful? Maybe, maybe, if I haven't moved on after finishing this reread, I'll try writing it myself.
The other thing is that I've been reading part 2 - only as far as eatapplepies has translated as I find mtl more confusing than helpful - and I'm really liking the Heavenly Demon. He seems to have fallen for our Cale pretty hard, and I'm interested in seeing how that goes.
So I have been playing around with ideas.
First - Dodam is trying to find 'that terrible bastard', and is dragging around his Choi Han.
He reaches Korea. Og!Cale as KRS, specifically. He has his own attribute, one to help him track down Cale, so he can pull up visions/memories related to that.
He pulls up the dream meeting between Cale and KRS.
There are a few team 1 members present, particularly Kim Minh Ah. Cue a bit of chaos, some 'aha' moments, and the long and the short of it is Dodam is going to pull up some of just what they're team leader is up to. (And if Dodam can figure out exactly which world or dimension to to next, and OG! Cale gets the bittersweet ability to see how his deal with the God of Death prevented the destruction he'd lived through, well... That's fine too)
During that brief moment, the Henituse noticed some strange mana fluctuations and managed to get Rosalyn there. She's basically able to tap into the feed and see and hear what's going on.
And divine intervention (like perhaps a god of love) extends the feed to the Heavenly Demon.
What would follow would be an abbreviated version of the key points. Sure, it loses some of the flavor... But we don't actually need, say, the amusing anecdote where an elf mistook Cale for a dragon.
Anyways, the more I thought about it the more I thought about how team 1 would react.
Because the minute they see those monster statues you know they'll all be going 'what the fuck?!?'
They will probably also nod knowingly at some of Cale's more shocking plans. Like hey, there he goes agreeing to help the Mogoru Empire put out the fire he started with the Whipper kingdom.
Nod, nod
Just like he did when they were dealing with that one corrupt guild
And if they ever get as far as seeing the Heavenly Demon, I'm sure one team member will be like 'Is.. is he flirting with Team Leader-nim?!?'
Cue stories where Team Leader Kim Rok Soo avoided a honeypot - except now they're thinking maybe he was just too dense to notice?

Fic Idea
Regressor Og!Cale and Regressor Alberu, and its an alcale fic, and the symbolism of like a king and his soilder.
That might not be phrased the best way but i had the idea and now i am rotting and ceasing to function.
Like they regress and Cale is only told, "The person you trust the most will also be with you" and the first thing he does once hes able to after dodging his family is call Alberu.
During the War Cale being the main monetary benefactor because i doubt even with the Henituse territory being destroyed they would loose all their money, they give me the vibes of 'we hid it in magic bags all over the place good fucking luck finding it' So Cale was able to retain his family's money.
Subsequently becoming a highly trusted aid for Alberu after some time.
Also the idea of Cale finding out about Alberu's dark elf form because he had something to tell him and just entered his room and they both just stared at each other.
the thoughts are rotting my brain rn ;-;

I think it'd be funny if Cale learned how to cough up blood on command
Like that one time where Alberu asked Cale to faint Cale would be like "alright he probably wants this to be realistic" and just coughs up blood while pretending to faint- Alberu and Choi han being horrified and thinking he was just putting up a front to not worry them and beating themselves up over not noticing anything-
Then Cale falls asleep and now they're really panicking-
This is probably completely unrealistic but stfu it would be funny and it's fanfiction so why not-

Man this draft is OLDD
Medically accurate?? Who's she??

You know what??
De-aged Cale where its roksoo right??
He's sitting there anxiously as the adults discuss what the do with him. It's happening again. He knows they're going to get rid of him like some old, unwanted toy.
His stomach gurgles and growls. He keeps his eyes trained on the shoes everyone is wearing, ears burning. How embarrassing... He's usually better than this.
He jumps when a pair of shoes move in front of him. It's hard to hear what's going on when the cotton in your ears keep blooming. Suddenly, he's face to face with an old man... whose smile is.. pretty scary. Not that he'll say anything about it though. He can't figure out where to place his eyes. Adults don't like it when he looks at them in the eyes. They say he's being defiant, that they don't like the way he looks at them. But then they don't like it when he doesn't look them in the eye, something about finding the situation unimportant. He doesn't know what to do... So his eyes jump from meeting the old man's and back to things around the room. Back and forth, back and forth.
"young master," the man starts, "why don't you follow my son to the kitchen? My son, Beacrox, will get you something good to eat."
Oh! He can do that. He's been in kitchens before, so he willed himself to meet the man's gaze one last time before giving a small, but firm nod. Then, he hops off the plush couch and trails after the guy who must be Beacrox.
This man is stoic looking and not much of a talker. It's okay though, he isn't much of a talker either. They walk in silence to the kitchen, he tries to keep his breathing in check as he jogs to keep pace with the man. His steps must be too loud though since the man turns towards him and then slows his pace. So nice!!
Even when they get there, the man still hasn't said anything. He stands at the doorway, unsure of what he's needed for. The kitchen is clean... Extremely clean. How will he earn his food? What is he supposed to be doing here??
We makes his way up to the counter where he finds a rag. That'll do!! He takes it and wets it in the sink before making his way back to the sitting area. He drops to his hands and knees and begins to scrub at the already clean floor. The adults at home say that even if it looks clean, it's never clean enough! So surely this should be enough to earn his keep.
He hears a clatter and startles as the knife falls to the floor. The man's face isn't stoic anymore. The man is mad?? Is he cleaning wrong?? Roksoo is scared.
The man storms up to him and begins to reach out towards him. Roksoo fails to hold back a flinch. He's messed up, adults don't like it when he's scared. He squeezed his eyes shut, in hopes of hurting less.
Nothing comes. The pain never comes. Only a warm hand on his head?? He slowly opens his eyes and meets Beacrox 's. There's nothing, but hurt and anger swirling in the man's eyes. Why's he sad? Roksoo doesn't understand.
"young master..." Beacrox sounds strained. Again with that weird title.
Roksoo wordlessly watches the chef try to string together words. His own throat feeling too clogged up to ask what he did wrong.
He manages though.
"why.. why are you sad?" His words come out like small croaks. It's getting hard to speak again. Adults don't like it when he can't speak.
Beacrox's eyes just fill with more hurt, hurt, hurt as he opens and closes his mouth uselessly.
He seems to figure out what he wants to say though.
"young master, why are you on the ground?" Beacrox keeps his voice soft, keeps his tone open and forgiving.
"I didn't know what else I could do," he confesses like he's sinned. His eyes make their way back to anything other than the other's.
Beacrox brews silently, waiting for his master to finish his thoughts. Beacrox doesn't like where this is going.
"how else can I earn.." roksoo's palms feel sweaty where they're clenched at his sides.
"I don't deserve food yet," roksoo's words are firm and believing as he meets Beacrox's eyes.
The man's eyes seem to tremble as he processes what roksoo had said.
(Beacrox wants to skin whoever taught his young master this. He wants to make them beg for the sweet release of death as he slowly guides them towards it. Having them teeter on the edge of death and consciousness).
He snaps out of thought, saving them for later. The others will be hearing of this, they can all come up with the plans together.
"young master," Beacrox hopes his words will reach the boys heart, "you deserve everything."
He watches as the boy takes his bottom lip captive between his teeth. How the boy clenches at the hems of his shirt and tries to calm his breathing. How the boy is trying to blink away tears, but is failing.
"you are worthy" he whispers, removing a glove to pat roksoo's head. Beacrox looks seconds away from jumping back and escaping. Roksoo let's put a shaky laugh at the thought.
Right now it's hard to believe, but.. he wants to. He wants to believe that Beacrox is right. He'll try...
But he still follows Beacrox back to the counter and begs to help. He feels too antsy not doing anything.
All he's handed is a small bowl of snacks and he's told his job is to finish them by the time the meal is done cooking. He feels his heart swell. Roksoo feels like his heart is doing flips in his chest. He feels so safe.

Feeling like I probably post too much on this,, but I will.. continue. :)

Of hiding and denials part 2
…or instances where Cale tries to hide that he is insecure, and has trust and abandonment issues in so many ways.
5. When he tells his father what that love is
A reaction in the brain or the heart
A feeling that comes and goes away whether you like it or not.
A way of getting hurt even though you don’t want to be hurt
6. When he decided to do a quick runaway
Deruth:  Cale,  there you are! I’ve been looking everywhere for you!
Cale: Why?
Deruth: Why?
Cale: Yes, why? I mean, aren't you busy? With paperwork? Or with meetings with other people? Sure you're not meeting Violan? Or Basen? Or Lilly? Or somebody else? Don't you have anything else to do?
Deruth:  Yes, by being here….
Cale: …But you can be more productive somewhere….
Deruth:  I have something to talk about with you…
Cale: Don't you want to consult with Violan first? Or your advisor? Or the elders? Oh, look at the time, I have something else to do. Bye! Deruth:...Bye, I guess?
7. When he tries to shoo people away coz his mask is slipping away...
Hans: Young Master, the count and countess
Cale: I’m not going wherever and whenever…
Hans: But young master…
Cale: I am tired…and weary…and I just want to be left alone. I don't even know why I am here.   Just go away, Hans. Make your excuses. I don't care…
 8. When revealing the secret of your hurts
Basen: Hyung-nim, can you tell me more about Lady Jour
Cale: …Why would ask about her?
Basen: She's your mother, right?
Cale: Yes. Did anybody tell you that it forbide4n to speak of my mother
Basen: Why? Who did that
Cale: Father did. Because your mother was a new bride and he didn't want her to feel unwelcome. So he banned people from saying my mother's name and my mother's images. Besides,s the dead are meant to be forgotten and we all must move on. Or so Father says.
Cale: I suggest you don't repeat the mistake or even tell him. You don't want him to be upset, would you?
There is a part 3

TCF FIC IDEA
OG Cale, and he has an Ancient Power. What is that power?
Glass.
Hear me out.
Glass is fragile. It breaks easily. But when it breaks, it turns into shards. Shards that cut.
Now who does that remind you of? :3
When you break glass, you have to treat it carefully, least you cut yourself with its shards. And if broken glass is aimed at you, you'll get hurt.
Glass, while transparent, is also a barrier. You can see through it, see the person on the other side. But you can't get to them.
Glass can conceal. Reveal. Or magnify. Refract. Glass can be reshaped into anything when heated, but when cooled, it is solid and unmoving. Glass can be beautiful. Colored, shaped, and refined.
There's magnifying glass. Mosaic. Tinted. Bulletproof.
Cale is weak. He's fragile. But he's also beautiful, sharp, and cutting. Cale is like glass. Fragile, is what people first think when they look at his weak body. But the moment they get too close, they get cut.
For glass is beautiful until it shatters and cuts.
I'm in love with this idea and might just write it if I remember when I wake up.
It's inspired by this song

And this fic

Cale and his family are so fucking touch starved that it is not even funny. Give them all the platonic physical love they need.
Hugs anytime, because why fucking not? Let the kids run in their room and give Cale hugs at random times in the day. Make him try to awkwardly hug Rosalyn to congratulate her for her achievements. Allow Mary to receive all the hugs from the wolves when she lets them ride the skeleton dragon.
Good greeting cheek kisses and goodbye kisses: This is a tradition that started with the tiger, but everyone adopts it when they see each other after a long time or if someone is going to be far away from the Rock Village.
Forehead kisses, mostly from Lord Sheritt, who shows affection to the kids, but also to Cale because he has this cute and weak appearance.
Nap time with all the wolf kids because they are just big dogs and everyone has a weak spot for them and their puppy eyes. In the nap time, Beacrox puts soft blankets and pillows in the grass and sits with the kids while reading; he says it´s because someone needs to take care of them, but everyone knows it's a lie.
Rosalyn making hairstyles and taking care of Cale's hair. Loving how soft and easy to brush it's.
Cuddling with the tigers—that is just all of them sleeping under the sun in the garden. Cale not very secretly love this moment of the day because is literally big cats with fluffy and soft fur to lie with.
Basically, he and his family fixing and taking care of all the touch-starved lives they had. Alberu, Choi Han, Rosalyn, I bet nobody touched them nicely too much I'm their fucking lives.
