How they’ve built him up, fleshed him out & developed him is nothing short of AMAZING. I absolutely adore all the replies I see on dash, can clearly hear his voice & picture a scene painted perfectly well with how they write! You will not be disappointed, in fact, you’ll be beyond blown away by the true care they have for this character. They truly do him Justice! 💕

◈ @luxcruor [ ; ] a multimuse blog Though I’m slow with replies, Sailor is so insanely sweet to talk to ooc! They have this way of hyping you up for replies & character interactions & are not shy about meshing muses from other fandoms together which is something I admire greatly. They’re so friendly, very easy to plot with & chat to about the blorbos, you’ll be introduced to new muses through interactions with them, but it’s very easy to grow fond of them.

◈ @vulpesse [ ; ] a blog with beautiful writing Everything? Everything is beyond gorgeous! Bunnie is someone I’m still so shy to poke & write with but my god do I admire their creativity! They have such a way with words, making everything sound so poetic & gorgeous — I feel like I’m reading a well loved story book or fairy tale with their work. The graphics they craft & use to help in visualizing their story— it’s nothing short of beautifully inspiring. Despite how insanely gorgeous their writing is, they also go out of their way to open the door for interactions with muses no matter the fandom. Bunnie is such a genuinely sweet soul, so so talented, I highly recommend any & all of their blogs because the mun truly does put a lot of effort into building stories with people.

Jack had his suspicions about this man; the tale of his escapades after being shunned by his homeland wasn’t exactly secret knowledge, especially not for one such as the showman who made it his business to find out about these sorts of things. He’d never actually expected to encounter the famed Taric in person, though-- let alone this far away from the mountains of Targon, though he suspected he knew why he’d come.  He’d remain cordial, however-- welcoming, even.  Despite all concerns pertaining to the ever-growing, ever-hungry Eldritch being within his midsts, Jack had always wanted to meet this man-- he was a legend, especially within the walls of Demacia.

“Well, of course I have help,” he chuckled, taking it upon himself to quietly slide around him, taking a gander at his luxurious mane of hair and the glittering fabrics that covered his frame.  Taric made him miss having muscles.  A hand beneath his chin, he continued speaking as he looked at him, obviously impressed in ways he had yet to vocalize.

“I’m only human, after all.  There’s no possible way one lone man such as myself could keep an act like this running so smoothly without a bit of -- assistance, you know?  As for the menagerie-- it is managed by another, but-- I have this feeling you’re referring to something a bit more exotic than all that.” he perked a brow, finally ripping his eyes away from the others pectorals to look him in the eye.  Jack was no small man himself, a whopping 6′5″-- but he was considerably more willowy and lithe than the well-built man before him.

“The hydra, perhaps?”

Day 7 - Souls @daily-writing-challenge​

Part 1

Red and Taric stood at the edge of Gorgoa, surveying the protean streaks of white energy from souls being fed through the center of The Maw on their journey to Torghast. There was something morbidly beautiful about it despite the final destination, especially the Soul Pillar in Oribos that everyone now jumped so carelessly into, as if it were a thrilling carnival ride, on their way to the Refuge. If only they knew how precarious that really was.

Unlike the River in Oribos, Gorgoa had a stench about it that nearly made the men gag. Red had noticed early on that not everyone was as susceptible to the rotten, swampy scent as Taric and himself were, but that was to be expected. He pulled his mask up to cover the bottom half of his face with Taric following suit as the duo crouched beneath the jutting rock to help keep them hidden from patrols.

It wasn’t just the smell that was unbearable, it was also the horrible cacophony of voices and sounds that emitted from these doomed souls. Many lashed out in anger at each other, or sometimes at nothing in particular, with screams of rage and bitterness. Others had accepted their fate and languidly dragged along the bottom, loudly mourning their fate with wails of sorrow and self-pity. It was nearly unbearable to even be this close to it, Red couldn’t imagine how it would feel to traverse through it. Hopefully it would never come to that.

“How do we know which ones don’t belong here?” Taric’s eyes darted back and forth over the passing souls. A few had even noticed the two mortals’ presence and begged to be saved, that they didn’t belong here. He could feel his stomach twist in knots.

Red shook his head, he was just as lost as his kin. “I...have no fucking idea. The ones meant to be here would say just about anything to get out, but I can’t imagine the majority belong here.” Given all of the dead were currently being ushered through the Soul Pillar and down into The Maw,  Gorgoa was teeming with souls that did not belong here. The Arbiter was still out of commission, and the two men were certainly no arbiters themselves; they had no right in deciding who belonged where. “I guess we just trap them and wait for The Arbiter to wake up?” ‘Wake up’ probably wasn’t the right phrasing to use for an Eternal One. “Or bring them to one of the others? The Winter Queen maybe?” 

“Better to be trapped than tormented, I suppose.” Taric mused quietly as he rolled the black tourmaline pendant between forefinger and thumb. He had a good point. “I’m not sure how simple it is to gain an audience with any of them.”

“Maybe if we had enough…” Light how he wanted to get out of this horrible place, but it felt right in being here. They had been given these gifts for a reason, and it was time to use them. Not everyone possessed the same skill set that the ‘Darkmorns’ did: The ability to easily trap souls, shift in and out of the rift at ease, and oftentimes blend in with the inhabitants of the Shadowlands. They were rarely assumed to be mortals, which brought up some very interesting and existential questions to be asked at a later date.

It was then that Red noticed the abnormal glint of silver within Gorgoa. With lightning quick reflexes, he gave Taric’s shoulder a hard shove, causing the man to topple over to the side just as the crossbow arrow splintered into the rock where his head once was. Taric was about to voice a complaint until he realized what had just happened. The two shared a brief look and immediately phased themselves into the Rift. It wasn’t a preferred escape route given the shades that inhabited the realm were considerably worse than many of the Mawsworn, but it would give them a chance to change locations without being seen.

...Unless they were to phase right into or next to a shade, in this case, three shades. “Fuck.” The shades were everywhere and would follow them everywhere, but there was one place many of the Mawsworn dare not follow, and Taric knew it too. 

Both men stood and jumped down the rocky ledge, phasing back into The Maw proper just as they entered Gorgoa, River of Souls.

C’s ‘You May Not Have Known I Play These Other Characters’ Blogroll

The Construct - ‘C’ Likeness:  Cillian Murphy In-game Name: Theconstruct His Master, Gaebral’s, finest and most ‘innocent’ creation.  Although he presents himself as a Death Knight, no one is really so sure if that is the truth or not - there’s much more to him than meets the eye.  He tends to be a bit of a wanderer and never stays in one place for too long, often preferring to watch and observe but is ‘friendly’ enough upon approach.  His views on life and the world may be a little too extreme for some.

Aerden Lo’sharri Jr. Likeness:  Tom Holland In-game Name: Aerdenn Looks like a cinnamon roll and IS a cinnamon roll, this is my youngest character, having just reached adulthood recently!  He joined the military as soon as he was of age and has been there ever since.  He started in the medical tents but has become a combat medic, being one of the few that uses Life magic and is also an empath.  He still has a lot of growing up to do but he has a bright and optimistic outlook on life despite all the hardships.

Taric Sunflare (Darkmorn) Likeness: Joe Alwyn In-game Name: Darkmorn An alchemist and herbologist who owns the alchemy shop, The Red Rook, down in Booty Bay, Taric could be considered something of a ‘modern hippie’. He prides himself on the quality and effectiveness of his all-natural potions, having studied the craft under his mother for his entire life until she passed. Often found traveling for work, he is able to adapt and thrive in pretty much any culture.  He is the nephew of Tristenne ‘Red’ Darkmorn, although that will likely remain a secret for some time even though most that know both suspect some sort of relation given their similarities.  Like all the Darkmorns before him, he’s able to freely traverse the Shadowlands and commune with the dead.

Ourobor An’dar - ‘Ouro’ Likeness:  Dan Stevens or Ryan Gosling In-game Name:  Ourobor While he’ll tell others he’s a freelance mercenary, Ouro is first and foremost an arms dealer and anyone in the business would know him as such.  Horde, Alliance, military, citizen, mercenary - he’ll cater to anyone that offers the right price.  He will never be found without a gun somewhere on his person, they are his lifeline and his obsession.  On a quest for vengeance right now, his violent desires tend to play a heavy role in all aspects of his life.

Inistellan Volanthus - ‘Stellan’ Likeness:  Clive Owen or Jon Hamm  In-game Name:  Inistellan My oldest (in age, not in time played) and most distinguished character, Stellan has led a very long and fulfilling life…that the majority will never hear about.  He’s gone through three name changes in his lifetime, although he’ll only ever go into detail about his present persona.  Currently he works as a bouncer and an occasional host for The Red Moon, the man prefers to remain a bit of a mystery to just about everyone, even those closest to him - for a good reason.
