Beyond Happily Ever After

Prologue Act I: Escape from Ever After

Summary: Y/n Jaziri, the next Dark Sorcerer from the tale of Aladdin, in a desperate attempt to escape their destiny of death runs deep into the Enchanted Forest. Given a chance at a life where they aren’t bound by destiny, they leave Ever After and enter the world of Twisted Wonderland.

It was the night before Legacy Day, where the students of Ever After High would pledge their destines and sign the Story Book of Legends. Legacy was one of the most anticipated events for the students of Ever After High, yet Y/n couldn't help but feel their stomach twist with dread at the coming event.

After all, villains don't get a happily ever after...

Uneasiness weighed in Y/n's chest, knowing what would be in store for them if they signed. As the next Dark Sorcerer from the tale of Aladdin, they were destined to die over their lust for power. Simply put, their only purpose is to die. All to advance the tales of others. A fate that nobody deserves, but with Headmaster Grimm insisting that everybody must stick to their stories, there's no avoiding the inevitable. Well, that what was the young mage had thought.

How long were they at this? Y/n couldn't tell. They'd been trying to go to sleep for what felt like days, yet all they'd done was make themself frustrated. Legacy Day was the culprit of their misfortune, but it's not like they could just leave. There isn't anywhere that they could go, and even if they did stay, but didn't sign, what would happen? They couldn't shake off the events of last afternoon from their mind the whole night.

"What happens if we don't sign?"

"Your story will cease to exist"

"And what happens to me?"

"You will cease to exist"

Those four sentences repeated all day, and even now it was impossible to shake them off. Questions filled their mind. Was it even true? Was Headmaster Grimm just trying to scare us into signing? Or did he see this happen?

They gently got out of bed, unable to stay there with their thoughts any longer. They quietly approached the window of the dorm, so as not to disturb their roommate's slumber. Zale was always a light sleeper after all. Looking at the stars, they drifted off, until they heard a voice. But, it wasn't that of their roommate, it was deep and distinct. Nothing they've ever heard before.

Well not evil, yet still lovely and filled with potential.

The Evil Queen's magic mirror? But how?

The descendent of the Sorcerer of the Sands, it seems.

Sorcerer of the Sands? Is that another name for the Dark Sorcerer?

Follow me to a world beyond your dreams

Y/n perked up. Their dream world was always one where they could lead their life the way they wanted. Not abiding by their predestined role. Freedom is what they craved. But would it be smart to follow a disembodied voice that didn't even know the proper title of their destiny? After all, in any tale, listening to the mysterious voice is a terrible idea.

There was also their life in Ever After. If they left what would happen to Zale, their mom, and their other friends. Not to mention their studies. It'd be both selfish and stupid to leave, especially in the middle of the night without a word to an unknown location. With a deep sigh, Y/n returned to their bed, hoping that this would all go away.

Yet, as they started to drift into slumber, they clipping of hooves rung strong in their ears...

Shockingly enough, C'allie is... amazing with kids.

That largely stems from being a Kyho. Raised in a massive familial tribe--the Kyhos are 80+ and growing all the time--where each age bracket ends up caring for the one under it while sharing the responsibilities across the board, C'allie learned how to deal with all stages of life.

Every time she returns to Gyr Abania to visit her family--and cheer her father up with tales of 'sucktastic city nunhs'--she usually takes a handful of cousins and half-siblings out to the desert for a hunting lesson or just to let them run, scream and misbehave.

Now that the Catte House has two children--with a third on the way, the first child of her half-sister C'tyka and her third husband Zale--she's giving them the same loving carelessness and discipline that so successfully raised her.

C'kyho, of course, agrees entirely with his favorite child.

The anti-LGBTQ+ hate group One Million Moms (OMM) has accused Hilton of “obviously pushing the LGBTQ agenda” with its commercial that features people of a variety of genders decked out in pink clothing and blonde wigs.
