Have you watched "The Rhino and The Redbill" animated short?

I have! Made by the same guy who did two Donkey Kong Country animations that I absolutely loved. 'The Rhino and the Redbill' seems like such a love letter to a lot of tropes from RARE games, such as said mentioned DKC and Banjo-Kazooie. Just with a very mature theme on survival and disabled peeps sticking together-- oh and two guys trying to keep an unhatched kid safe. [That aspect feels very Mad Max to me, truth be told, and I would be curious if any of that was intentional.]

If you can't tell, I absolutely loved it. And for those who don't know what I'm talking about, I'll share the link.

The designs and the dynamic between the main guys is so cool! Makes me wonder if a full series would follow the two of them, or if it'd have a rotating cast sharing the same setting

Niles and Red || Request

Cartoonenxtdoor requested: my request are for these characters, Niles (the rhino) and Red (the Oxpecker). Pretty simple, just Niles flexing his right arm with a cocky expression while Red awkwardly tries to do the same with his left wing.

Well thanks for the recc anon! That was very well done, I've seen this guy before with his Donkey Kong Country video. Fantastic animation, there is smth about CG styled to look 2D that really clicks for me. One of the better pilots I've seen, only problem I have is the sound design but that's consistent with most indie pilots. I could excuse it for the fun banter and great visuals.
