if you're in the us and you're as terrified as i am about trump running again but aren't sure what to do, i'd love to suggest writing letters for vote forward.
i've written letters for them for several years. we send handwritten nonpartisan letters encouraging people to vote. the more people vote, the more people vote blue. the more disenfranchised voters vote, the more people vote blue. the more bipoc folks, queer folks, women, single parents, low income folks, etc vote, the better off we will all be.
take a break from doomscrolling. ranting on twitter or tumblr won't change people's minds.
make a donation to a candidate in a swing state. write letters to encourage people to vote. volunteer with a local organization making an actual difference on an issue you care about.
it's not hopeless, but you can't do everything all at once. pick something you can actually do, and start there. once that's done, maybe you can do something else.
i just signed up to write five letters to support voter turnout in michigan. once i get those prepped, i'll sign up to write some more.

I'm sorry if what I say is wrong in any way, I don't mean to offend you, it's just something I'm not completely sure about. Does Adam use he/they or they/them pronouns? I think I saw a post of yours where you said that Adam uses he/they, but it was a while ago and now I'm not completely sure (and I don't want to use the wrong pronouns)
I know you don't mean anything by it, but I am sad that so many of the asks I get start with people saying "I'm sorry, I don't want to offend you" or some variation thereof, followed by completely normal questions. I think I may have been responding too harshly to too many things and given the impression that I'll jump at people for being wrong...
But asking clarifying questions is always okay. I mean, it's also okay to be wrong and even offensive. What matters is if you learn from it when someone points out that it was wrong or offensive. I won't stop telling people they're saying something hurtful if they are, but I don't want that to lead people to be scared of me or something.
Correcting people is always just about correcting them, not hurting them. It's okay to need to be corrected, were all learning new things every day.
Anyways Adam uses he/they, you remembered correctly

For those who are unsure of whether or not they really have the "sensitivity to cold" symptom of fibromyalgia, because you think that it's just you not being able to handle colder temperatures like other people, that's one way of putting it. The other way is, when it's winter and the temperatures start dropping, do you feel your pain more intensely? Do you feel like you have more problems with your joints? Is your partner always commenting how cold your fingers and toes are, but it somehow gets more frequent in winter? Those are other ways to consider being sensitive to the cold.

which of your stories are you most proud to have finished? are there any little details you put into your stories that you're particularly proud of? 💜
Hey, Mer! Thank you for asking c:
Hmmm taking this in two ways:
Proud to have finished as in, proud that I managed to finish it has to be Wander the Drifting Roads, which is one of my two long fics. I was editing while I was posting and caught up to the point I'd edited to, which caused me disproportionate stress haha. For a minute, I wasn't sure I was ever going to get that last chapter into a state I was okay with posting. I briefly considered walking away, but I am so glad I didn't!! It is still one of my favorite things I've written.
Proud that I wrote in general is probably Palimpsest, which 1) I still feel clever over the name and 2) that section of act 2 remains the crunchiest Dragon Age thing to me (it is just so!!!! *paragraph deleted*) and 3) I love writing from inside Fenris's head and I am very, very proud of how the fic came out in general.
*gets out the red string* okay so you know how there are a bunch of statues of people in random poses that don't really look like they're carved from anything? and how Solas froze a ton of people in Trespasser in stone? well, in my fic The Scourge of Sundermount, the Lavellan there comes across a left-behind remnant of Mythal's soul in a bit of the amulet Merrill used to bring her back and she becomes a sort of Medusa-esque figure, capable of (involuntarily) turning people to stone with a remnant of that power. I have a hard time reading that story because it is very sad, but I do feel clever about the details in the way I situated that AU.

IMPORTANT PSA FOR TUMBLR USERS
If you see a post that recommends something that you just plain can't do, be it for lack of money, lack of access, or often even disability:
Did you know?
That's right! You're not the target audience! You can just scroll on by! The OP won't be offended that every single man, woman, nonbinary adult, and child isn't immediately running out to follow their universal edict and you and others with your restriction alone are not! You don't need to reblog with a bitter retort about how you can't do that!
Shocking, right? That's okay, take your time.

if I may... I'm happy Paul walked off the podium without the celebration. cause he seemed so angry that I could totally see him punching Franco in the face. he needs to calm down by himself, to munch through that bitter pill... and he'll be okay.
honestly yes i feel the same way. i see a lot of drivers who force a smile and pretend like all is okay, and that's respectful and everything. but part of what i really like about paul and his driving is that he's never really satisfied and happy, and he doesn't pretend to be okay with a result that isn't okay. instead, he refocuses his energy, and performs better the next race. i promise, as long as he doesn't get taken out by someone else tomorrow, he will have a lovely feature
(like ollie goethe, i love that guy but i wouldve liked to see him more upset about losing the win. but then again, maybe he knew even there and then that he would get the win back so he didnt care 🤣)
