Experiencing Athlete Burnout

Growing up I was always known as an "active" child. It didn't matter where I was or who I was with, I was always extremely energetic. For example when I was only 4 years old I would leap from the top of my parents extremely tall bed to the floor, then proceeded to hop like a frog. After doing this repeatedly I ended up breaking five of my toes. As a result of this I had to be put into not one, not two, but three different casts. My parents did not know what to do with me. I caused so much destruction with those cast looking back on it I find it quite hilarious. 

As I got older I played many different sports and just about everything I played I excelled in whether it was football, basketball, swimming, or even golf out of all things. Eventually, I developed an extreme passion for swimming or at least I thought I did. I mean who wouldn’t fall in love with something that they are extremely good at and can do without blinking. As time went on and the harder I trained the better I got the less I loved the sport. If you were to ask me what my reasoning behind not having a passion is, I couldn't tell you even if my life depended on it.

 Athlete burnout has major impacts on your body both mentally and physically.
