For Shueisha's 100th Anniversary, the cover art for all 18 volumes of the educational Manga World History were redesigned by popular manga artist:

A personal message from Tabata in regards to the series moving magazines

The translator said that this message was written in much shakier writing than what Tabata usually writes.

From the sounds of the message, a lot of people in twitter theorised that Black Clover would end in 5ish chapters, but the letter essentially confirms we're nowhere near that, as Tabata stated there are some stories he absolutely needs to write and some he wants to write. And that with this new schedule, he'll have more creative control in the writing and better deadlines to abide to (3 months for 60 pages = approximately 20 pages per month, compared to WSJs approx 80).

While we don't know exactly HOW much is gonna go into each chapter, from the sounds of it, Tabata won't be fighting with editorial over creative direction which was a theory on why the energy and vibe of black clover has been changing.

Let's all support Tabata now that he's working in a much better environment!

I still have not been doing well with the black clover magazine swap. I got so used to reading the new chapter every Sunday but I’m happy it’s moving for the mangaka’s health both physical and mental. I can see how Tabata will need way more time to work on the new chapters considering the artwork in them.

Blank Page Brigade Spotlight: The Tabatas

At the end of volumes of Black Clover is space for the “Blank Page Brigade.” This particular “brigade” is composed of the assistants (you know, those who help with art) and others from the Black Clover manga team, lead by “Captain Tabata.”

In each volume there’s a question that everyone answers. I’ve compiled the answers from all published volumes (1-32), and grouped them together. Previous answers (and drawings from the assistants) can be seen starting with this post here.

The rest of the staff (so not the art assistants) is each represented by an animal-like self. In the beginning, these animal selves would be expressing, but eventually it was just the icon... This post covers the answers from Captain Tabata’s and his wife.

Captain Tabata

volume 12 was originally published in August 2017, so I looked for youtube videos uploaded from that time, and thus I present to you this upload from January 2017
