While recovering in Pokémon Square, Valerie has plenty of time to get to know the locals, particularly the precious angel known as Caterpie.
Shy at first due to Val towering over the tiny baby child, it didn't take long for curiosity to beat intimidation, leading to Val telling stories of her adventures in Hoenn as she traveled the region with her brother. Caterpie eats them all up, and Val quickly gains an "auntie" role she never thought she'd have. It was those darn baby-doll eyes...!
It never clicks in her head to tell Caterpie that Hoenn is part of another world, and whenever the sparkly-eyed child asks one too many questions, you can tell when she's fumbling for ways to dance around the full truth. =w="

I can’t even lie that a little bit of the reason I felt more motivated to cut my hair is bc my cousin. Like I know he’s trans. Has he told anyone?? No, but like he carries around his trans pride stuff with little pronoun charms so when he cut his hair like against his like his moms own wishes every time I look at him I just wanted to cry

They were hungry, so Flayn got a fish, but they spot kitties thus decided to feed them.
They're happy but still hungry !
Where is Seteth to be the responsible one and make sure everyone has their basic needs satisfied ?

as a kid I never realized baldness was seen as a bad thing for men because my dad has been bald for my entire life because his hair went gray super young so he was like “I like myself better bald” and that was the end of it. he also never complained/wished his hair was back

I remember thinking that it was obvious Seteth and Flayn were father and daughter but then I also thought that Rhea was the mother. Flayn basically looks like a smoll and more floofy version of Rhea so I thought I hit the nail right on the head. Turns out I was wrong and Rhea is her doting aunt.. or whatever their relation is. They're still absolutely adorable. I want Rhea to sing a lullaby to Flayn to help her sleep.
Oh,
I imagine Rhea immediately adopted Cethleann (like other nabateans!) but as a younger sibling or a younger to whom she has to be a model, since Rhea's the youngest Nabatean from Sothis. Maybe they are close in age than Rhea and Indech, or Rhea and Seteth?
Finally, she is not the youngest or the "baby" of the family, and can dote in turn on someone else!
Smol!Cethleann and Rhea always spent a lot of time in Zanado, picking up flowers, braiding each other's hair and even at times drawing/playing together. And they slept together too - "slept" as in Cethleann asked for a lot of stories and Rhea forgot half of it each time, so she made up new ones and they talked a lot during the night, when sleeping with her parents means Cethleann has to sleep at 9 pm.
Saint Cethleann often tried to cheer up Seiros the Warrior, to make her realise that she is not only a warrior, she is still her cool aunt Rhea even if tragedy befell their family - maybe they hung out around Enbarr's fish market and Cethleann managed to drag her aunt around, to change her mind about war this or war that, or to ask her, without Cichol hovering around them, what is so important about holding hands, they are already doing it!
Flayn sometimes hops in Archbishop Rhea's bed - to get a feeling of familiarity in a world that changed while she was asleep - and while Rhea indulges her, there's still some sort of barrier between the two because War of Heroes happened, and Rhea'd feel guilty for the death of Flayn's mother. Flayn would run to her to tell her about that time when Prince Dimitri brazed her hand (yes he had his gloves, but it counts!) when he handed her a bucket of fresh caught fish.
Post-War they would maybe meet in Zanado, Flayn would be the one to tell her stories, and ask her how to model properly because she wants Ignatz to depict her as a "fierce" woman, which prompts Rhea to ask her niece if they are already holding hands, because human rites have to follow a certain order.
