how to stay productive over summer break

As we all know, it’s easy to sink into a routine of “school? what’s that?” during the summer. To combat this, here are a few tips to prevent forgetting about your classes.

- Order/buy your summer reading soon after school ends. Keep the books in a place where you can see them, so you don’t foret them. (also, if your local bookstore has the book(s), purchase them there to support local businesses. it’s worth a quick call.)

- Buy a planner if you don’t have one, or start a Bujo. This way you can keep track of all your plans and creat deadlines for your summer homework. (“I need to read chapter two by the end of the week and do bio notes.”)

- There are many documentaries and crash course lessons on YouTube you can look into for a background of classes you’ll be taking in the fall. This way you can do some background notes to be a little ahead of the class and start the year strong.

- Stay productive. Get a summer job, journal, start a workout plan- whatever will help you stay busy this summer so the sudden workload in the fall won’t take you by surprise.

- Change something about how you do your work. Find a new, better way for notes. Change your handwriting. Find a new way to organize your schoolwork.

- Keep a folder on your desk that has summer assignments. This way you won’t loose them, and every time you sit down at your desk to watch some Netflix you’ll see the folder and might think twice about your productivity.

- Learn something new! Whether this be for school or something independent, learning something new stimulates your brain. Learn to cook a meal, research something you’ve always been interested in, look into courses you’ll be taking later on, etc.

- Hydrate. Not only is this good for summer, seeing as it’s hot and humid, but drinking water definitely can help improve your mood.

- Make to-do lists and master lists. To-do is for that day; smaller, more detailed tasks. (Call Grandma. Take some notes for bio. Organize desk. Look into organization plans.) Master lists are on a grander scale; say, your week. (Read chapter three by Friday. Work out. Clean room.)

- Make short and long term goals for the summer. Short term goals are things like reading a certain book, improving your diet, or redoing your room. Long term goals carry out after summer ends; making your bed daily, going to the library every Saturday, cleaning up your room at least once a week if it gets messy.

- But remember not to stress out over summer; it’s your break! Take some time after school ends to get rid of unnecessary papers, to relax, and to take some time to yourself. You are always your number one priority.

I am super excited to share some new products today. In collaboration with @joinpalm , @skyorganics.us sent over some of their products. @skyorganics.us products are all made with ethical, natural and organic ingredients that are amazing for skincare and haircare. Starting off with the softest cotton balls ever; I usually never use anything to apply my products, but these cotton balls are biodegradable, don't have any bleach or pesticides, and are fragrance free. I like using these to apply my toners!! I started using the Tea Tree Witch Hazel toner in my night routines and I am really enjoying it. This toner is great because it contains two amazing ingredients which help with my erythema and also hydrates my skin. This toner is alcohol free which is amazing because none of us want to strip our skin. The Rosehip Seed Oil is in my opinion the best facial oil I have tried for winter. It is has a thick texture, which is great for retaining that moisture. This oil contains vitamin c and a which help with brightening and hydrating the skin to stay radiant and balanced. I love using this oil as part of my night time routine because in the morning my skin is bouncy and plump! This oil is also great to help with repairing the moisture barrier. This brand is also very affordable and makes effective products with amazing ingredients.
