He treats her as though she's a child and undermines her own abilities as a detective. Heiji, meanwhile, simply rushes to make Natsuki comfortable.

It's nothing big or groundbreaking, but it meant something to me to see that Heiji—and Conan, too—wouldn't treat Natsuki differently because she's a woman. Heiji's baffled and disturbed by Hakuba's behavior, and Conan looks entirely unimpressed:
