Misun was born on October 19, 2000 in Namwon, South Korea to her idol soloist mother, Kang Sumin, and music producer, Ahn Jaesun. She is the only daughter and youngest child, sister to actor Ahn Jiho and songwriter Ahn Jaesuk. A few months after her birth, her parents sent her to Dallas, Texas, where her brothers lived with their maternal grandparents. Up until 2011, her grandparents were the ones to take care of her and her brothers.

In 2009, it was widely accused across South Korea that Misun was the result of her mother’s affair, her biological father being one of her mother’s backup dancers. It was never confirmed or denied, but her mother became even more inactive in her career than she had when she originally gave birth the first two times. Her parents battled in court over custody over their children; including Misun— going so far as having her take a DNA test. Unfortunately, the media was right; Misun wasn’t her father’s biological daughter. Ultimately, the court ruled in Sumin’s favor, saying a child should never be without their mother.

In 2011, her parents divorced and Misun and her two brothers lived with their mother with visits to their father ever so often until they all turned the legal age. At the time that she became a trainee, Misun was twelve and was adamant on finding something to occupy her time so she didn’t have to spend time with her mother as her brothers were preoccupied with their careers and school to be the buffer between the two. In June of 2012, Misun was scouted by SM Entertainment when Dispatch leaked her and her brothers’ pictures when at the custody trial. Feeling as if she had something to prove to the world, she properly auditioned with S.E.S’ Just In Love and was accepted. In 2014, she was revealed as a SMROOKIE and was a popular female trainee, being on Mickey Mouse Club with the other Rookies.

Misun was originally part of the lineup for Red Velvet, but at the time of their debut, she was deemed too young. "K-keep you company?" Now you were properly confused. Tao nodded. "Yeah. You know how in Pretty Woman, the guy asks her to spend the week with him and pays her a lot of money to pretend to be his girlfriend while he's on business?"

You nodded slowly. "Well, the only differences are that I'm not paying you to sleep with me or be my girlfriend," he explained so nonchalantly. "I just want to spend some time with you. If you aren't comfortable sharing a hotel room with me, I can put you up in your own room."

You looked at his face, looking for any sign of deceit or dishonesty but found only curiosity looking back at you. "Can I think about it?" you finally asked.

Tao smiled and got up, crossing around the table to where you sat. He combed his fingers through your hair before gently taking your chin in his hand, tilting your head back to look up.

"I'm going to take a shower. So think about it while I'm gone. If you want to stay, I'll send someone to pick up your belongings from wherever you're staying. If not, I'll take you back myself."

Before you had a chance to respond, Tao pressed a short kiss to your lips and quickly crossed the suite to the bathroom.

While he was gone, you cleaned up the table and returned to the bed, flipping on the television set while the shower turned on. You scrolled through the channels, finally settling on some soap opera. While watching, you went through your phone and saw that Tao had indeed explained through text to your friends where you were as well as including a picture and a short clip of you sleeping.

You decided to check in with your friends, to let them know you were alright. Their responses ranged from angry to relieved.

Rules, kinks and favorite idols/groups

I've had this blog for a while but finally I'm not busy enough to keep it active. So there are the rules:

Idols must be 18 or older (obviously).

Sex must always be consensual.

This solidified the Hip-Hop status of the group. It was an album Grace didn’t expect to have many lines on and baby ARMY’s often question whether she was actually on it but you can hear her background vocals on all songs and she was featured in We Are Bulletproof, part two with her taking the last chorus after Jimin. This caught people’s attention as it wasn’t expected that she would rap, though it was clear she had some skills. With the vocal line, she harmonised. 

For the clothes, there was a lot of black and printed clothing, lots of gold jewellery that were over the top. While it wasn’t her style, she stuck with gold rings and large hooped earrings that became her statement. Make-up was minimal but the eyes were dark with even darker eyeshadow. The actual clothes themselves seemed to swallow her figure and hide it from view, which would lead later down the line for Hobi and Taehyung to become her fashionistas. 

There wasn’t a chance for a lot of screen time for her and there weren’t many chances for her to show off what dancing skills apart from her chorus part in Bulletproof Part Two where she had her chance to shine - and she played the part perfectly: cocky, ready to fight, ready to take on the world. This is what began to catch the attention of locals and fans - a woman, in front of seven boys, ready to fight to prove the band their worth. 

The album had her feeling part of the group yet an outsider - seen for background vocals, sub-rapping and sub-singing. Never full a part of the song but always there. ‘Like’ was a perfect example - her vocals were always clearly heard but in the background. ‘Bulletproof Part Two’ was her full chorus time and it was a song she still loved, even to present time - whenever there was a chance to perform it, she was the first one to sign up for it. 

Her relationship with the boys at this point was still awkward - especially with Jungkook. It was taking awhile for all of them to warm up to each other especially since she was in a completely different dorm to them down the corridor. But she was there every morning to wake them up or to make breakfast, make sure they were ready for the day. She’d be the last person to leave their dorm and the first person to arrive and this is where the ‘mother’ role came out to play. 

There was a bit of hate in the beginning for being the only female among seven men and it was what she expected and readied herself for. The group got a lot of mixed reactions and reviews, coming from a small company and being so vocal against the norms of society. There was a small group of fans that actually preferred Grace to be a soloist, to shine on her own rather than having to share her and there was another group who preferred her not to be part of the group at all. Grace rolled with it all.

BACKSTORY

Sona was born on November 28, 2000, in Seoul, South Korea, to her mother Lee Eun-seo and her father Shin Seok-dong. She has two brothers, older and younger, named Sohyuk and Sojun respectively.

Her family is rich. Her father is the CEO of a company producing house furniture and her mother is a restaurant owner.

In 2004, her family moved to Tokyo, Japan, because of her father's job. Because of that she grew up bilingual. They lived in Japan until 2012 when they came back to South Korea.

She wanted to become an 8idol after seeing SHINee's "Sherlock (Clue + Note)" performance on TV. She asked her dad for singing lessons and she was taking them for a year.

In February 2013, Sona joined SM Entertainment as a trainee after passing the 2013 SM Global Audition in Seoul.

On July 17, 2014, she was introduced as a member of SM Rookies, a pre-debut team of trainees under SM Entertainment.
