idk if this has its own comprehensive post on here or not but can you explain in depth how rui is gay coded

i think what you'll see people bring up most often is the fact that he has his right ear pierced (see above). incredibly brief queer history lesson for anyone who is unaware: back in the 70s & 80s when it was still illegal or otherwise heavily looked down on to be gay, wearing a single earring in your right ear became a non-verbal identifier amongst gay men in America. As far as I'm aware, identifiers did actually vary between areas, but it became far more publicly known that the right ear was the gay ear and the left ear was the straight ear. Even today when the stigma has worn away a decent amount, you still hear people bring up the term "gay ear" and the fact that the right ear is the gay ear is fairly common knowledge. This is also a known thing outside america, i'm not sure how far the spread is outside america and other english-speaking countries but it is definitely known in a fair amount of places, including Japan (also it should be noted that a right ear piercing can have different meanings in different cultures that predate this meaning, and nowadays people are more likely to get whatever ear pierced they want regardless of sexuality).

obviously anyone can have any ear pierced that they want but things work a bit differently with character design. the only other MCs who regularly wear earrings are An (left ear) and Akito (both). For both of them, this is definitely done to make them seem more cool, which makes sense given they're in the street music scene and following the fashions. As for NPCs there's Nagi (left), Arata, Ken, Tatsuya, Iori, Saku, and Yuuka (all both), which again is probably just to fit the fashion of those characters. Okay, Yuuka just has regular old earrings but as for the others you've got street and punk rock styles which both incorporate piercings as a big part of the style (especially with Saku's punk look).

so all that considered, Rui's earring just sticks out, I guess? it's not really a fashion thing, it's pretty plain and just kinda there, and very conveniently happens to exactly match up with an old way of signaling in the gay community instead of being in his left ear which is the far more common ear for guys to get pierced if they only have one earring. also he almost always only has the one piercing in his right ear in trained cards, the only exceptions being his cheer squad (earrings in both ears) and his canary card (three piercings but still in his right ear).

like i said though, it doesn't have to mean anything but talking from the perspective of character design, sometimes if you want to communicate something about a character then you put it in there.

building off of that, very stereotype-y but his choreo is notably quite.. flamboyant, should I say, compared to the other characters, even shizuku and haruka's more elegant styles. honestly just watch the clip this is so hard to explain. anyway in the process of writing this i found out that his mocap artist lists in his professional profile that one of his specialities is dancing for both masculine and feminine roles, so I get the feeling that there was a reason they cast this person specifically instead of one of the other male artists at the company, and then there was the decision to even have him dance like that in the first place. this doesn't have to mean anything at all and as i said leans very far on stereotypes which is something that i'm not a huge fan of but you do still have to consider things like this even when talking about modern media since it’s still a common way to imply characters as queer.

this one again is more of a matter of perspective. Rui has a few interactions with Tsukasa that could very definitely be read as flirting. it's kinda ambiguous though, which does make sense given the type of game this is; idol-adjacent games like this very rarely make anything concrete so that people who are fans of a pairing can enjoy the teasing and people who don't like it can simply move on. first thing that comes to mind would be the part where he invites Tsukasa to his house in wonder halloween (above), mainly because his L2D uses his smile expression that has a blush with it and that was a choice that someone on the L2D team had to make but didn't have to - they could've easily just kept his usual teasing expression he had at the start of the interaction there was no need to change it.

There's a couple other interactions but this is probably the most obvious outside of the incredibly shameless shiptease of Rui volunteering himself to play Juliet so Tsukasa could rehearse the proposal scene of his R&J adaptation despite the fact that Nene was in the room in Kamikou Festival!. Also, these scenes I mentioned would have been written long before the pairing between the two characters gained popularity in the fandom, so they were written just because the writers wanted to rather than because they were intentionally targeting a certain group.

there's also that 1koma that I posted about a while ago. you know, the one where he asks for people to call him the "modern day Hiraga Gennai"? Hiraga Gennai as in the 18th century Japanese inventor who was also gay and wrote multiple works about it. The whole joke of the 1koma is that Rui wants to be known as the modern equivalent of a gay scientist and Tsukasa questions if he really wants to be called that.

The 1komas are played for jokes though, and especially the original ones are quite hard to call canon due to some of the scenarios and character interactions not making sense. But then again, someone on the writing team decided to write a gay joke around Rui for whatever reason that may be and it got passed by higher ups and put in the game (or, 3 versions of the game. the joke didn't make it to EN due to Gennai not being very known amongst the audience).

the only other thing i can think of (and arguably like, the biggest bit of evidence for this theory (? Idk if I should call it that)) is that he doesn't really show any interest in women.

First off, the Valentine's Day 2021 vlive. Quick note that in Japan, Valentine's is traditionally a holiday for girls to give chocolates to boys (while white day is the reverse). You can give platonic valentines too, which is what happens in-game... for the most part.

Those chocolates Rui got could easily just be platonic chocolates from other students, but then you have a few factors to filter in. 1) this is very early into the game, back when his only friends were WxS and Mizuki and 2) Those chocolates aren't from WxS, since Emu and Nene give the boys sweets offscreen after the vlive, and Tsukasa is on the receiving end for this holiday. Of course, one box could be friend chocolates from Mizuki, but that leaves more chocolate boxes than friends to give him chocolates.

Immediately after this, Tsukasa gets jealous that Rui got chocolates and tries to brag that he got some too, before saying too much and revealing he got friendzoned by multiple girls, basically confirming that Rui's chocolates were given with romantic intent. I guess you could say that these were chocolates given out to everyone in 2-B, but then why would they leave it anonymously in his locker? Tsukasa's classmates just gave them out to everyone in-person. The only reason I could think of is that people don't want to associate with him, which is canon, but if that's the case then why even bother. I dunno. This is almost word-for-word from that post I made about the in-universe attractiveness of every character so sorry I made you sit through that again.

Getting back on track, Rui seems very neutral about the fact he got given multiple boxes of what was likely confession chocolate. He just briefly mentions that he forgot the holiday was even happening until he found chocolates and then never brings this up again. I think it's worth comparing his reactions to Tsukasa, who seems to care very much about his abilities (or, lack thereof) to attract women. Obviously Tsukasa is the big reactions/brag about a lot of things guy, but Rui does not really seem to care about the fact that multiple women find him attractive, or just the holiday where he’s supposed to get chocolate from girls in general. But this whole interaction is just for jokes anyway so you don’t have to think too much of it if you don’t want to.

Second sub-point: Shizuku. Shizuku can be considered as the most attractive character in-universe given the sheer amount of characters that have been shown to be attracted to her or at least comment on her looks (currently at least 8 MCs if not more and a few named side characters). Admittedly none of those MCs are male, but it isn't like it's impossible for people to be attracted to the opposite gender in this game, like we just established that Tsukasa says he's interested in women, so the point still stands.

Specifically I would like to point out a scene in A Once-In-A-Lifetime Pandemonium, when the 2-B trio first meet the Miyajo 2nd years. The three of them immediately recognise Shizuku and Airi and then Ibuki describes Mafuyu as "a beauty". Shizuku gives them her idol smile which in their POV has the same sparkles that often (not always, but definitely in this context) show up when characters are attracted to another character (like how Haruka has this effect on Minori and Kohane, and An has this effect on Kohane). Like it's very, very obvious that Rui's friends are attracted to Shizuku and the other girls and they're pretty surprised that he's hanging around with them.

But Rui never acts like this around Shizuku at all, nor does he ever even address the fact that she's good looking. He doesn't even bring it up in their earlier interactions back in the Picnic event or any events after, when a lot of other characters (e.g: Emu, Ena, and Mizuki) commented on her looks almost immediately after meeting her (they did first meet in a pretty stressful situation if you want to argue that, but it still stands that he's never been attracted to her). Similarly in The Tomorrow we Hope for, he does not have any reaction to meeting Haruka for the first time, unlike how we see other characters who are attracted to women (Kohane/Minori/debatably Nene it’s up to interpretation) act around her at first.

at the end of the day i think you could definitely make a case for it. like it's harder to make a solid argument in comparison to say, Kohane, An, or Minori who are outright attracted to other girls and say as such on-screen, but there's definitely some more subtle hints and stuff to work with still and it was actually quite fun to compile them (i took the in-depth part to heart as always sorry anon).

News - Magic: The Gathering has done an anime-style promotional video for their official collaboration with Cowboy Bebop to promote their new Outlaws of Thunder Junction collection being released in Japan! This video is an homage to the Cowboy Bebop opening animation, complete with using the opening theme "Tank!". Coinciding with Cowboy Bebop's 25th anniversary and MTG's 30th, they'll also be releasing cards and other goods for this collection that take visual homages from the Cowboy Bebop series. Sadly, this collection seems to be only available in Japan currently. You can see more pictures and info here!

リクエスト（4/7） ④Minamimoto with an autumn leaf or with something autumn+α ④南師と紅葉か秋の何か+α

This time, the only character was ZETTA, and the motif was autumn leaves or something related to autumn, so I decided to make it Japanese style. 今回はキャラとしてはゼタだけで、モチーフは紅葉もしくは秋の何かだったので、和風にしてみた。

When I thought of autumn leaves, all I could think of was Japanese. To be honest, I felt like drawing a Japanese style. 紅葉ときたらもう和しか思い浮かばなかった。というか正直和風が描きたい気分だった。

I decided on a kimono as a combination of Japanese style and autumn leaves, but I wanted something that felt Japanese, so I decided to add a sword. 和＋紅葉で服装は着物に決まったけど、もう一つ和を感じさせる何かが欲しい…となって刀を加えることに決定。

If he wear the same kimono every time, he won't look different, so change to wearing one, half off, or one side off. 着物も毎回同じだと変わり映えしないので羽織る・半脱ぎ・片肌脱ぎに変更。

In fact, he was wearing some clothes on top as well, but somehow…he had taken it off before he knew it. Well, it can't be helped since it's ZETTA. 本当は羽織も着ているフォルムもあったのに、なんということでしょう…いつの間にか脱いでいたではありませんか。まあゼタだから仕方ない。

I wanted the color tone to be red and black from the beginning, so the atmosphere was a bit dark. 色調は最初から赤黒にしようと思っていたので雰囲気も少しダークな感じに。

In the request, ZETTA was the only one, so I was wondering if I should include other characters in the 2nd to 4th illustration like in the previous requests. リクエストではゼタ１人だったので２～４枚目は今までのリクエストのように他キャラを入れようか迷った。

But I wanted to show Zetta and the sword! After that, I decided on one person. I hadn't thought about the flow at all, but COCO and KONISHI were scheduled to appear. でもゼタと刀を見せたい！と決まってからは1人に決定。 流れは全く考えてなかったけどココや虚西さんが登場予定だった。

Throughout the whole thing, I felt that something was missing at the very end, so I added an 〇□△ design to represent the intersection of the fourth sword as an ×. 全体を通して、最後の最後で何か物足りないな～と思っって４枚目の刀の交差を×と見立てて〇□△のデザインを付け足した。

The first illustration is ZETTA + Autumn leaves as requested. １枚目ではリクエスト通りゼタ＋紅葉。

What is the composition that makes both the sword and Zeta stand out? It was too difficult to compose, so I drew the composition over and over again in analog, and before I knew it, I had it. 刀とゼタの両方映える構図…難しすぎてアナログで何枚も描いていたらいつの間にかできた。

To create a calm atmosphere, the colors are dark and heavy, and to create a sense of dynamism, a slight breeze is used to create a wavering effect. 雰囲気は静けさを出すために色は濃くも重めに、躍動感を出すために少々風をあてて揺らぎを。

It was fun to scatter the autumn leaves on it… I really like the leocanthus style tsuba. 紅葉を散らすのも楽しかった… 何気にレオカンタス風の鍔が気に入っている。

From the second illustration onwards, the main pose is ZETTA + sword, and I thought it would be nice to be able to clearly see the face and the unsheathed sword. ２枚目以降はゼタ＋刀のポーズがメインで、できれば顔がしっかり見えるのと抜身の刀が見えるといいなと考えていた。

I want to draw from among the compositions I drew in analog, drew what I thought. アナログで描きまくった構図の中から描きこみたい！と思ったものを描いた。

In the flow of TWTEY, Forbidden, and NTWETY, I created and drafted the shapes of one sword style, two sword style, and three sword style. 無印・禁断・新の流れで、一刀流・二刀流・三刀流の形をつくって下書き。

By the way, the shape of a normal sword swing is probably not called "one sword style", but it is labeled as "one sword style" in order to contrast it with others. ところで普通の刀一振りの形はおそらく「一刀流」は言わないんだろうけど、他と対比するために「一刀流」と表記。

When I translated it, "Itto style" came out as a matter of course, because I almost believed it!!! Stop confusing me!!!!! 翻訳した時にさも当然のように「Itto style」って出たの、危うく信じかけたんだからな～！！！紛らわしいのやめろよな～！！！！！

The second illustration has the same clothes, hairstyle, and sword color as the first illustration. ２枚目は１枚目と同じ服装・髪型・刀の色。

The unsheathed sword is hidden in the body, but it's shown in the first illustration, so don't worry!!!!! 抜身の刀は体に隠れてしまったけど１枚目で見せているからいいか！！！！！

In battle, I think it would be nice if a noise appeared when he make a specific swing with the sword. 戦闘では刀で特定の一振りするとノイズが現れたら良いと思う。

In the final phase, I would like the space to be torn apart and thrown into another dimension like in the TWTEY anime. 最終局面では多分空間が裂けてすばせかアニメみたいに異空間に放り込まれてほしい。

At the end, gather the power at the tip of the blade and do a level imaginary explosion (=level imaginary flare)! 最期は刃先に力を集めて段階虚数爆発（＝レベル虚数フレア）して散ろうね！

The third illustration is Forbidden ZETTA, which I've been excited about since I was sketching it in analog. In a way, I feel like I had the most fun modifying it. ３枚目はアナログで下絵描いていた時からワクワクしていた禁断ゼタ。 ある意味一番楽しんで改造した気がする。

He wearing one side off. Eroding the forbidden part it definitely suits him because it has the most surface area. 片肌脱ぎ、禁断部分の侵食も一番面積多いから絶対似合う。と思って描いた。

It's hard to tell the color of the swords, but one is black and the other is white. It would be nice if the sword changed form along with the image of Forbidden Noise. 刀の色は分かりづらいけど一方が黒、もう一方は白。 禁断ノイズのイメージで刀も共にフォルムチェンジしていたら良い。

It would be nice if he could teleport behind you or make a forbidden noise when he make a specific swing with his sword. 刀で特定の一振りすると背後に瞬間移動してきたり、禁断ノイズが出現したら良い。

Normally, Forbidden Noise was released during TWTEY's time, but this has a lot of attack material, so it's time for Forbidden Form. 本来禁断ノイズは無印の頃だけど、無印は攻撃ネタがたくさんあるので禁断フォルムの時で。

In the scene where someone knocks him down without his knowledge, I want him to be crushed by a giant Jizo or stone lantern. 知らない間に誰かに倒されたシーンではでかい地蔵や石灯篭とかに潰されていてほしい。

The fourth illustration is the NTWETY ZETTA that I definitely want to use as a three sword style. Since it's a three-sword style, of course one goes to the mouth. ４枚目は絶対に三刀流にしたい新ゼタ。 三刀流なのでもちろん一本は口へ。

If the other swords were swung too wide, the composition would end up looking far away, so I decided to have them cross each other. 他の刀もあまり大きく振りかぶったりするとどうしても遠い構図になってしまうので、交差してもらうことに。

The sword is all red in the image of Leo cantus Armo. 刀はレオカンタスアルミスをイメージして全て赤。

I think it's cool when he get a claw effect every time he swing his sword, or when he stab a sword into the ground and the ground cracks in the direction of the enemy and erupts. 刀を振るたびに爪痕のエフェクトがついたり、刀を地面に刺すと敵の方向に地割れが起きて噴火するいいなあ。

With certain swings, Soul Pulvis will appear and cling to the enemy, dealing damage and causing illusions. 特定の一振りではソウルプルヴィスが出現して敵にまとわりついてダメージを与えたり幻覚をみせたり。

I also think it would be nice to have a counter activate for a certain amount of time if he bring the sword in front of his face. 刀を顔の正面に持ってきたら一定時間カウンター発動したり。

I want him to fight Japanese style ZETTA in the evening or at night. It looks best when the sun is setting or when the moon is shining brightly. 和ゼタと戦う時は夕方か夜にして欲しい。 日が沈むころか、月が煌々と輝くときが一番似合う。

It would be even better if the autumn leaves were scattered at that time. I want a shrine scene. その時に紅葉とか散っていたらなお良い。 神社のシーンとか欲しい。

Jump down from the torii gate. I think it's good to sometimes use a coarse oilpaper umbrella. 鳥居から飛び降りてきてね。 たまに番傘差したりしていると良いなと思う。

Karesansui, the roof of a temple… there are endless places that would be cool to be in… Of course, I would like the opus to be made in Japanese as well. 枯山水、お寺の屋根…居たらカッコいいところは無限にあるな… オブジェももちろん和で作っていて欲しい。

I had a lot of fun with Japanese style ZETTA this time, and I came up with a composition that I want to draw again, so I'd like to draw it again someday! 今回和ゼタがすごく楽しかったしまた描きたい構図も浮かんだので、いずれまた描きたい！

Are Saiki and Teruhashi based off Asō-sensei and Furukawa-san?

This post will make you know more about Asou-sensei and Furukawa-san, and perhaps about Japanese manga characters. Sorry some information you might have seen it already.

How mangaka based off their characters?

1       appearance 

When people saw Asō-sensei, he got comments saying he looked like Saiki Kusuo. The same as Nishizawa, the author of 5mm (西沢５ミリ、Nishizawa 5miri). 

「こちらの写真の一番左に映ってるメガネの方が麻生周一先生になります。

どことなく斉木楠雄に似ているような…..」

→The person with glasses on the far left in this picture is Asō Shūichi sensei.

He looks somewhat like Saiki Kusuo......

The author of Berserk did give an interview in 1996.

NBA players were the model for the characters in slam dunk. I'm not into sports, but many redditors had theories about these because they knew about different styles of play in basketball. A Japanese blogger said that the author of slam dunk did not admit or deny when he was asked if slam dunk characters were from NBA players. That means there is no right or wrong answer. The author said the readers could imagine who was the model. But the blogger said its not true because he watched NBA for a long time and he had theories to prove that.

Is teruhashi based on the author's wife Furukawa-san or is she a model for teruhashi? (Whatever the correct word is, sorry 😢 ).

We knew from the last two posts that the author started basing teruhashi on his wife after they met in 2014. The author made Teruhashi loves one, have a fan club and be able to sing from 2014.

When the author drew someone else as kokomi, Furukawa-san tweeted right away.

In 2016, his wife tweeted 「おっふしてもいいんだからね！」 → it´s okay (if you’re going) to offu! 

To prove that she´s the real kokomi.

In 2018, his wife tweeted 

「斉木楠雄のΨ難、麻生先生描き下ろしジャケ！ 

照橋さん枠はえいたそだったのか、、、！ 

けるくんも可愛く描いてくれています。サイズ感ぴったり！どんどんメディア進出！ 麻生先生！ありがとうございます！！すてき！！」

And then Furukawa-san tweeted again with excuses that Eitaso wasn´t teruhashi because….

いや、えいたそ＝後光 → No, Eitaso = Halo, aureole

照橋さん＝オーラ → Teruhashi-san = Aura 

だからちとものが違うか、、、→ so maybe it’s a bit different...

Well, Furukawa-san thought she was Teruhashi and couldn't stand if someone else was Teruhashi. There must be something in Saiki k that made her believe/sure about it. It's between the author and Furukawa-san. The question about Furukawa-san is Teruhashi. She has already given the answer!

Think why the author made Kokomi have fan club and kusuo a tsundere in 2014? Coincidences? Why did his wife have so much confidence about she’s Kokomi? Why didn't the author do that in the beginning of Saiki k? Why started basing them in 2014 the year he met his wife?

Is Saiki based on the author or is he a model for him? After the author met his wife in 2014, Saiki admitted that he is a tsundere.

Q: Is the author a tsundere?

Nendō pet is based on/kind of like Furukawa-san's pet because keru-kun uses her hand as a toilet.

If I were Furukawa-san and read these comments….. I felt hurt. There were some comments on x (twitter) saying that Aso-sensei likes Risa-chan or his oshi was Risa-chan from 2015-2019 (her first response to the author was in 2016). As a woman, I read comments that say my boyfriend likes my friend. Did people think I stole him from my friend or my friend rejected him so he chose me and ended up marrying me. Was I his second choice??? No wonder Furukawa-san couldn't accept when someone else was kokomi.

However, colleagues confirmed their relationship No. 3&4.

2. In 2018, the marriage purpose. No. 3 「でんぱぐみのだれかと（けっこん）」 → (Marry) someone in Dempagumi(.inc). The word “marry” was coverd by Nendou´s hand.

P.S. If anyone thinks it's a word other than the word marry …hmmm. That person doesn't understand Japanese in context (that chapter).

3. His assistant, Mitsuhara-san mentioned that Furukawa´s his favorite member and Asou-sensei replied his comment (without denying it) saying 

「わー！忙しいのにわざわざ漫画まで描いてくれてありがとー！！あれはそういう策略だったのか…w」

→ Wow! Thanks for drawing all those manga even though you're so busy! (Now I know) what kind of strategy was that...lol

What Asō-sensei did to Furukawa-san

Didn´t say his feeling to Furukawa-san. He said he preferred Risa. But his coworker, Mitsuhara-san said Furukawa was his favourite member. Asou-sensei attended dempagumi.inc activities/events, but he wanna leave after he talked to his wife for a word or two. At first I thought their relationship had to be a secret. he could write about Risa-san but Furukawa-san. <(ꐦㅍ _ㅍ)> ……… tsundere.

Did tease his wife by drawing someone else as Teruhashi. He drew dempagumi.inc only 2 pics and teased his wife both of them. Aso-sensei drew Furukawa-san with arms crossed. ʱªʱªʱª (ᕑᗢूᓫ∗)

Didn´t write the word “marry” in a marriage proposal. I wondered when I read it, but now everything is resolved. What a tsundere! Finally, he grouped his wife with Teruhashi even though he wrote the word "someone" on no. 3 instead of Furukawa-san (because of idol status). However, it’s really sweet of him to do it in anime and it will stay forever.

4. His coworker, 大石浩二、Ōishi-san (mangaka) who works at Shonen Jump+ said

麻生先生&みりんちゃん結婚おめでとうございます。前から知ってはいましたが、未だにえっマジで！！？なんだその漫画みたいな展開！！って思ってます。みりんちゃんのハートにＢダッシュした麻生先生。末永くお幸せに🎊

Congratulations to Asō-sensei & Mirin-chan on their marriage. I've known about it for a while, but I'm still thinking "What Really!!? What a manga-like development!!” Aso-sensei made a B-dash into Mirin-chan's heart. I wish you a long and happy life🎊.

However, Ōishi-san compared them to a manga. What manga? Did he mean Saiki k manga? I don't know much information about Aso-sensei and Furukawa-san compare to Oishi-san, but I knew Asō-sensei is an otaku and his wife is an idol. So I think otaku & idol. That's why the author did a self-insert to Saiki k manga. Plus, he did mentioned himself (as an otaku) made his favorite idol sang the theme songs in 2016 (chapter 234).

When they were in a relationship in 2016, The author asked their friends, family and co-worker for the vote (to make Saiteru got 1&2 place) because they (ppl who knows him) knew about Furukawa-san. He wanted their votes instead of votes from readers. Who the hell didn't know that he's saiteru?

It doesn’t matter how long you know Saiki k. If I ask my brother (who is really into manga/anime for his whole life; otaku and taught me about manga; publisher and author’s hints) to read it, he knows right away Teruhashi is favored by god/author and terusai ends up together because of author’s hints and at the end of story.

To answer the question of if the author based on Saiki or using him as a model.

- In terms of appearance, I'm not the only one who thinks the author looks like Saiki.

- For the personality, what he did to Furukawa-san (2015-2018), the author’s a tsundere to me.

My point with this post is that it´s not strange or stupid that the manga creators/mangaka use the real people as models for their characters in the manga or based on themselves. It doesn't mean that characters are 100% like the authors, and have to be a warrior like Guts from Berserk. The author said “Guts' personality or his beliefs... I guess some of that comes from myself.” So did Asō sensei and Saiki about tsundere.

I hope this post will make you understand about mangaka and their characters. Thank you. ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و ♡

I hope you get to know the author better and find it interesting, rather than saying misinformation without sources and lying to others because you have no knowledge and no information about manga. Real people are models for/based on manga characters existed before you were even born. Shocking? This has never happened before. Still think this information isn´t credible? And want the the author to admit or deny that he and his wife based on Saiki and Teruhashi. Good luck with that, a tsundere like him who never told/said Furukawa-san his feelings online (direct way) until they announced their marriage. He isn't a criminal he has to accept or refuse this if he doesn't want to. The author never said about it, but it doesn’t mean his wife and coworkers wouldn’t say anything. I’d rather believe his wife and coworker than you. The one who knows nothing about the author is you. How could you claim to be a big fan of the author? You believe info from his wife and coworkers were not good enough. You don’t even listen and respect his wife and coworkers. On top of that you spread this´s misinfo, don’t you feel ashamed at all. Next time, please find info by yourself before accusing others, so you can learn about Japanese or practice your Japanese language. Didn’t you say so?

Then meow’s blog who also believed you deleted my comments. I wonder why they believed you without sources. Because you claimed to be a fan of the author? 友魚/友一/友有 の服装について。 I will talk about Tomona /Tomoichi/Tomoari’s clothing. 映画「犬王」の中に、彼が女性用の衣装を着ている場面はひとつもありません。彼が着ているものは全て男物です。 There is not a single scene in the film Inu-OH where Tomona/tomoichi/Tomoari is wearing women's clothing. Everything he wears is men's clothing.

・琵琶法師グループの本部で「これから新しい物語を始める」と宣言している場面、そこで着ている赤い服 The red clothes he wears there at the Scene at the headquarters of the Biwa Houshi Group, where he declares that he is about to start a new story. →掛素袍（かけすおう）当時の武士の服装のひとつ →掛素袍（kakesuou） One of the samurai outfits of the time.

当時の日本には、白拍子と呼ばれる女性ダンサーたちがいました。彼女たちは男性の服である水干を着て踊るのが特徴です。友一/友有が二度目以降の橋の上の演奏で着ている服、あれは白拍子の服装なのです。そして、彼女たちは有力なパトロンとならば同じベッドに入ることもありました。なので、「友一は遊女の服を着ている」は嘘ではありません。 In Japan at that time, there were female dancers known as 白拍子（shirabyoushi）. These women danced in 水干（suikan）, which is men's clothing. The clothes that Tomoichi/Tomoari wears when she performs on the bridge are 白拍子（shirabyoushi） outfits. 最後に、一言。 Finally, a word of caution. 日本において、芸能者が異性装をするのは伝統的にごくありふれた表現です。 In Japan, cross-dressing by performers has traditionally been a very common expression. 800年前には白拍子がいましたし、600年前には犬王が女性の役を演じて絶賛された記録が残っています。（疑いますか？　ならば「申楽談��」を読むことを勧めます）。歌舞伎に関しては言うまでもないでしょう。 There were Shirabyoushis 800 years ago, and there are records of Inu-Oh performing the role of an aristocratic woman to great acclaim 600 years ago. (Do you doubt it?　Then I suggest you read '申楽談儀 Sarugaku-dangi'). As for Kabuki, it goes without saying.

そんなOneも意識したテーマ

My final show in Tokyo! It was in the beautiful (gosh the acoustics..really, the perfect classical shoebox hall) Hamarikyu Asahi hall, so my theme was based on the kanji 朝日新聞 (The Asahi newspaper) , the first character meaning “new” and the second “hear” (makes sense!). The first half was full of new repertoire as well as familiar pieces but with a modern twist. The second was set in a musical style, where I used a newspaper as a prop to talk about important news - including the ones that don’t make the paper. “One-ness”, again, was the overall theme for this year.

ギリギリまで曲順や流れを考えては微調整。W杯を見てたら、次のスペインの試合に向けて、一部最後は応援をこめて、Spainをお届けしました！

自宅で作業してたのは、２部の頭に流れたvoice-over。

情報量が多い現代社会。

現実。真実。偽り。陰謀説。バイアス。プロパガンダ。

色々な言語で「これは現実なの？それともファンタジーなの？現実から逃避できない」をパンさせたりエフェクトをつけて、頭の中のカオスを表現。

今回カットした曲も多く、加わった曲も（入れて良かった〜）。Calling You ( Bagdad Café) は当初リストに入ってなく、八ヶ岳で初披露してから関係者の方や友人から、これはもう一度聴きたいとのことで、どうやってストーリーに取り入れるか、楽しく前日頭を悩ませました。

ハマジャズで突然スキャットすることになったAirmail Special 。あの日から自分の中でJazzの魂が騒ぎ、大好きな曲に！今回は東京ということで〜男はつらいよ〜浜離宮朝日ホール30th Anniversary Vers.をお届けしました！

今年初挑戦だった楽器はカリンバ！今回はさらにエフェクトペダルを入れたり、魂を吹き込んでみたり、遊んでみました。色々な宇宙にまつわるリフも入れました。いくつ聞こえたかな？

今回自分にとって1番緊張したのは新聞の演出。どこにどの新聞を置き、間延びしないようにタイミングを測る。今後はミュージカル仕立てのライブをまたぜひお届けしたい！

イガラシ　自分の場合は「一旦好きなものを作ろう」から始まるので。今回のアルバムに関しては、選曲や曲順を含めてシノダが舵を取っているので、彼の考えがかなり反映されていると思いますね。 ygarshy: For me, I start by going “Let me make what I like”. So in regards to this album

シノダ　今回、イガラシの曲は1曲だけですけど、ほかにも面白い曲がいっぱいあるんですよ。 Shinoda: ygarshy only wrote one song on the album this time around, but he’s written a bunch of awesome songs in the past.

──イガラシさんが作曲した「Quit.」はバラード調の楽曲。「REAMP」に収録されていた「イメージ」と同じく、メロディが素晴らしいです。 - ‘Quit.’ by ygarshy is a ballad style song. Similar to ygarshy’s other song on ‘REAMP’, ‘Image’ is the melody beautiful.

イガラシ　ありがとうございます。バラードが続いたのは結果論ですね（笑）。作りたい曲を作っただけなので。 ygarshy: Thank you. I only noticed the recurrence of ballad afterwards (laughs). All I did was make what I wanted to make.

──「痣になり残る いつか消えてなくなる」「色も、形も、声も。」というシノダさんの歌詞も印象的でした。歌詞に関してはどんなやり取りがあったんですか？ - The lyrics Shinoda wrote “Bruise” are so powerful as well. Did you converse at all in regards to the lyrics?

シノダ　メンバーが書いた曲に関しては、そいつのことを考えながら書くことが多くて。2人が喜んでくれそうな歌詞を書くというルールがあるんですよ。「Quit.」もそうで、「イガラシ、こういう歌詞、好きじゃね？」っていう。 Shinoda: When it comes to my bandmates’ songs, I often think about them while writing. I made a rule for myself that I have to write lyrics that I think they’d enjoy. Same thing with ‘Quit.’, I was like “I bet ygarshy would love this and that”.

イガラシ　すごくいい歌詞だと思いました（笑）。この曲に関してはもともと、物事や季節が終わるときのムードが感じられるようなものを作りたかったんです。悲しくもあり、過ぎゆくものに対する感謝や優しい気持ちもあるような。「そういう歌詞にしてほしい」って言ったんですけど、直球ではなく、しっかりストーリーにしてきたのがすごいなと。 ygarshy: I found them amazing (laughs). I wanted to make something which felt like the end of something or a season since the beginning. It’s sad but, you also have soft feelings and appreciation for the bygones. I may have told him “I want it like that.” but not to a T. He made a story out of it all on his own, I was impressed. ~~~~~

－最後にアルバムを締めくくる｢Quit.｣について聞かせてください。イガラシさんが作曲を手がけた曲って、切なくて泣きたくなる曲調が多いんですよね。 - Tell me about ‘Quit.’, the finale of the album. ygarshy’s songs are often so emotional, they make you want to cry.

シノダ：これはだいぶ泣かせるように作ったからね（笑）。 Shinoda: I made it with the intention of making people cry (laughs).

イガラシ：この曲は過渡期にいるような心境をイメージしてたんです。季節とか時間とか、何かが終わるときは、当然悲しかったり寂しかったりすると思うんですね。でも、それまでに経験したことが大好きだったら、それに対する感謝とか優しい気持ちも含まれてると考えてるんですよ。そういう複雑な感情がメロディになったらいいなと。 ygarshy: I imagined it as being in that same frame of mind as when you’re in a stage of change. When something ends you naturally feel sad and lonely. Yet, I think that as long as you loved the experiences you earned, are you filled with joy and gratitude as well. I hoped that the melody could embody those complex emotions.

－それは歌詞を書くシノダさんには伝えたんですか？ - Did you tell that to Shinoda?

イガラシ：伝えません。 ygarshy: I didn’t.

シノダ：何も言われてないですね（笑）。 Shinoda: He didn’t say anything to me (laughs).

－でも、歌詞にちゃんと落とし込まれてますよね。 - Though Shinoda still managed to put that into the lyrics.

イガラシ：そう、だからびっくりしたんですよ。歌詞に"それでも君の夏が来る"って歌ってるけど、僕も夏の終わりをイメージして作ってましたから。 ygarshy: Yes, it surprised me. I had the image of the end of summer in mind when I wrote the music, and then Shinoda coincidentally sung “Nevertheless does summer come for you”.

シノダ：こういう歌詞を書けば、イガラシが喜ぶのはわかってるのでね（笑）。何かに魅せられて、謎のスピード感に駆られて生きていく人たちって美しいよねと言ってあげたかったんですよ。それがロック・ミュージックのやることだと思うんです。僕はそういうふうに物事に対する情熱がピークみたいになる瞬間を夏って呼ぶんですよ。それが私にはもう来ないけれど、あなたには来るよっていうことを言いたかった曲です。 Shinoda: I kinda know what lyrics are bound to please ygarshy, y’see (laughs). People who get charmed by something and then at full speed run straight ahead, they just live life in such a beautiful way. And this is something I believe rock music is all about. That moment when your passion peaks is like a “summer” in my mind. I’m too old to experience it ever again, but “you” can. That’s the message I wanted this song to send.

【くすぐり寝起きドッキリ】スクール水着のコスプレで「ほらっ！ 起きなさいよ！」　妄想小説風②～③完結編

僕らはコスプレ好きの夫婦。 妻と旅行中、ホテルでの朝は、きまって「寝起きドッキリ」。 寝ているところをくすぐって起こされる。 おまけに今日は、スクール水着のコスプレだ。 「ほらっ！ 起きなさいよ！」と妻が僕をくすぐる。 「やめろ～っ！ あひゃひゃ……」と僕は身をよじった。 笑い転げる僕を見て、妻は大喜び。 そんなわけで、いつものように寝起きドッキリが始まったのだ。

「やられたらやり返す、倍返しだ」 今度は、僕がくすぐる番だ。 妻を座らせると脇から、くすぐり始めた。 「きゃぁ～っ！」と妻は声をあげて笑っている。 「いいわよ、脱がして」 と妻は言う。 「え？」と聞きなおすと、「だって、水着を着てるもん」と言う。 そうか……スクール水着だったな……。 でも、恥ずかしいのか、顔は真っ赤になっている。

I put my hands on my wife's chest. Then, my wife raised her hands in a banzai pose. I took off the top half of her school swimsuit . Then I began to tickle her naked upper body. She was so excited that she said, "Kyaaaahhh! Ha-ha-ha-ha! " My wife was writhing. She was desperate to escape from my hands. But I was not to be outdone. After a while, my wife went limp. Apparently, she was exhausted. Then, I stopped my hand. "What is it? Are you finished? She asked me. "Oh, that's it," I replied. "What a ...... shame," She said, as my wife began to get dressed.
