Toriyama’s work was the shot of inspiration I desperately needed to see after feeling so lost during my last year of college and unsure what to do with my art. Chrono Trigger is my favorite SNES even after spending years as an Earthbound fangirl and that is part to its fantastic setting mixing prehistoric creatures and fantasy monsters with futuristic technology and characters that feel like fresher takes of JRPG stables. If you know my personal twits handle you’ll probably already seen me gush about Chrono Trigger’s promotional art on multiple occasions. Chrono Trigger’s artwork - and the art for Dragon Ball and Dr. Slump - means so much to me and I’ll treasure it forever.

No one understands the pure joy I feel when it comes to talking about funny bugs and the excitement I get from seeing these little guys on the website so I made one of my own based off one of my favorite spider species.

The pelican spider, commonly referred to as the assassin spider, is a spider family that has a diet mostly consisting of other spiders. They get their name, however, due to their appearance resembling a pelican.

This hardly has anything to do with Welcome Home but I'm a bug nerd and wanna draw some of my favorite bugs in the style of the arg elements.

I'm gonna do more of these.

And now that the Trans Sun Wukong agenda has made the rounds, here's the lineart from my mock JTTW storybook page with and without all the faux scanned old book effects on it! Very happy with how the lineart turned out and I'm very happy with the editing since I think the lineart looks much more recognizably my art without all of it.
