I am not the best student, no. but i can’t help falling in love with learning every damn time.

Here i am writing this to you and to everybody, opening my heart at midnight already. I have my practical exams in 10 days from now and that too in a way which bring back my days of having severe anxiety. Days which, i dunno how to explain it but..something i was ashamed of, yeah it got THAT bad. Scrolling through the studyblr post i noticed the quote which said “I am not my mistakes.” I..am, not my mistakes. As soon as my brain settled the words down in my mind, i felt my spine tingle, was it just the quote? Or was it my sacral chakra? I dunno. I haven’t been a good student these past two years. Not at all giving my best. But why is it that every time i get back to reading things, giving them a home in my mind, cherishing the words, why do i fall in love? It’s a secret forbidden lover, only i get to whisper silly nothings to. Have i been romanticising learning? I really think so. Learning about Hydrogen bonds to learning about radioimmunoassay, from learning about neurons to learning about the new age of cyberpunk. I should be afraid of maths as i have always been, right? or is it that i never learned the art to let go and just let mathematics take me in, knowledge doesn’t judge, it gives and gives to whoever decides to open it and give their time to it. But lately i have been feeling a pull towards things that made me anxious, things that made me run and underestimate myself for years, it gets too personal to me at times. I want to learn, learn about concentrations, learn about dilutions, learn what made me afraid of something that only wanted me to give. Learning is truth for me. I started reading about electrophoresis and now i am in a rabbit hole of understanding different types of electrophoresis to factor required for it. I am falling in love again, at times i bring myself to senses and say stop, stop wasting your time and just study whatever is the portion, cover only for the exams, i wish learning was different. I wish to never be apart from this piece of myself, one which yearns for answers, for more stories, more talk with the accuracy and the universe. i wish to be with knowledge. But again, i am not the best student but damn do i fall in love with learning all the time.

21-05-2020: Another day working on my thesis. Now I have to find my results and do some statistical analysis, which I find pretty challenging. After that I have to start with the discussion part which will be very big I think because there are so many uncertainties about my results.... In 1 week I have to hand in my draft version. I don’t feel too stressed. I think it’s probably because I don’t mind spending extra time on it after the final deadline if it’s not good enough yet. I mean, I am doing what I can and eventually I want it to be good so if that means spending more time on it, why not?
