☁️ best tips for online studying
how to self motivate & learn on your own when your university goes online
☁️ map out your entire course(s)
make a list of everything you need to know by the end of the term.
add HOW you will learn each outcome (textbook sections, online lecture videos e.t.c.).
make a list of all assignments you need to complete and their due dates.
☁️ make a longterm plan
add all important dates to a calendar. I personally prefer to put them on my phone and set alerts.
make your own due-dates of when you will have outcomes learned by, based on when you will have to understand those concepts to complete assignments and assessments.
☁️ set up a work-only space
set up an area in your home that is for study/work only! make this a place where you’re able to focus without distraction.
☁️ mimic a class schedule
attend any live online classes as they occur
take notes from any pre-recorded lectures when you would usually have that lecture in a day
OR: make your own class schedule with the same number of hours per course that you had during the regular semester
keeping to a regular schedule ensures you’re on track and keeping up
☁️ ask for help!
don’t be afraid to contact your instructors and TAs!
☁️ stay healthy & safe! ☁️

College is something that we hear about during all of our lives. Being growing up while watching movies, being later in high school when teachers and ourselves start to talk more and more about, and especially when the time to make a decision came by.
The truth is that the process of entering college can be different from person to person and place to place, but the ways that we try to make our lives easier during those times can be applied to any college student. So I decided to share some advice that helped me, a student starting her senior year in college, survive till now.
Integration is key.
Sometimes people start college with the mindset that they are there to have a degree and yes! that is true, but this experience is more than just studying. Even if you are shy try your best to socialize with other people, to meet people in your classes, your year and even older. I promise you that this experience, this stage of your life has a different value when you do it accompanied by people that you feel comfortable with.
I know that with COVID-19 situation many people are still having all classes in an online format, but we still can socialize with people in that way. We both know that, so let’s try! Let’s make friends and conquer our degrees with good memories!
Stop cramming the night before.
With time management we can put the “Let’s study everything in the last minute technique away”. Stop procrastinating and start using your time wisely. Because you can have a good note once in a test that you used this technique, but it was worth it? The sleepless night, the fatigue and the anxiety were worth it? I don’t think so!
Let’s use this night just for a quick revision, but especially for rest.
Ask for help if you need.
I know that something that everyone tells is that the teachers don’t care about us, but I am sure that if you have doubts they will help you. Your teacher, another one that is nicer and also teaches that class or some other student that had an excellent note is available to help you. Don’t be afraid to ask, someone will be there I promise you.
Learn how to manage your life the fastest you can.
What I mean is: learn how you can manage your time and money wisely so that you don’t have bad surprises. Because every one of us, college students, had a bad experience with exams or spending because we didn’t manage your life correctly.
Try to find ways to manage your time so you can study, relax and social with your friends, creating a study plan for example. Besides that, start tracking your expenses and do a budget so you can be less broke at the end of the month ;)
Your experience at your own pace.
We are all different people with different needs so don’t feel pressure to start or finish your degree at the same pace at others. Sometimes, we need time to find yourselves, to rest because our bodies can’t take anymore and it is fine. Do it at your pace and for you, ALWAYS!
Student discounts are your best friend.
Let’s just all of us be thankful that being a student sometimes has benefits. Use and abuse of student discounts for your friends’ gatherings and shopping time, it will help you save more money than you can imagine.
Don’t skip class.
I don’t know about you, but paying for studying for me is probably the best motivation for going to every class. I hate spending money and something that I’m not enjoying, so if I have to pay I am definitely going to be in that class.

11.16.19 || a spread from one of my busiest weeks in college so far + a reading about friendship for my ethics class that made me very emotional
i feel like every time i come on here to make an original post it’s just like “hey i haven’t been active lately or updated in a while, sorry, also this spread is long overdue and here’s a mini life update” and honestly? ive just accepted it.
so... life update: college is going well! i got a solid A on 2 of my 3 midterms which i was pleasantly surprised by :) also going thru high school as a studious person in a highly competitive school, while running a studyblr gave me the expectation that... everybody would do at least the bare minimum: do their readings, go to class, and study?? not so apparently. i didn’t realize how many people skip lecture until twice as many people showed up on exam day :0

@endymionstudies November Study Challenge
3. what’s your favorite way to wind down after a long day?
Usually I do it by reading in bed with blankets, sometimes listening to lo-fi or darkwave writing a stream of consciousness.

how’s life everyone? i’ve been enjoying reading for my courses but i’m not as productive as i have been before and i have a feeling it’s due to boredom (i have to do everything at home in the same old place) if i could move around more i’d feel energized and i love changing and rotating my study spaces often :/ i am able to go study on campus with my friends soon though and i know i could go to cafes but i don’t feel safe doing that every week,,,,, i’m meeting up with friends on wednesday and before that i’ll get some work done at the cafe and we’ll see how that goes

❅ O5.1O.2O2O
This weekly bujo spread setup done in 10 minutes because we are lazy and don’t want to waste to much time.
「 Day 2 of studyblr community challenge - Explain your studyblr URL! 」
My url already changed twice since I created this studyblr but it has more than one meaning for me. I added the endless to the url because it was also in my twitter account for many years, so it was something that already had a meaning for me. Besides that I think that the endlesstudies reminds me of the fact that even after high school or college I don't need to stop learning stuff because humans are students for life. And that is a really important mindset that I want to have for the rest of my life!
