Xander: Well fuck... we've known that Stark has been recruiting new pilots ever since Warmachine got taken out of action.
But here's their first public appearance. Clearly not as high tech as the og. Looks like they're based off of the old MK7 armor.
I say public because I've gotten wind that these have been used in dawn EVRA raids in a couple of places up and down the country. So clearly Stark isn't choosing the most morally pure people here.
Funnily enough, despite all his talk of accountability the identities of the Pilots haven't been released yet... There's a lobbying group putting together a FOIA request but we'll see if that ever comes to anything. Officially to comply with the EVRA all you need to do is register with the government. There's no rule that you have to go public.
... sigh
On a related note there's been even more EVRA pressure at home. Hank has been under a lot of scrutiny and hasn't been able to make it out to the warehouse as much. I had to go to his main Lab this weekend to pick up some components. Met his intern, Rhona. She's nice, a bit intense though.

The loft that had been given to the Scourge and her team was pathetically colored. The ceiling was relatively low, and none of the furniture were made of human leather, but of dark metal. Although luxurious, the apartment was too dated. Shame in Cormmorragh.
But oh well. El-Shay would go with it. And at least each member of her team had their own apartment, except Veex who insisted on staying in a room full of computers and strange devices that she didn't really understand.
Evra and her husband Haemonculi, Berbeduale, had built a little corner near the Torture wing. As usual, Berbedual was well organized and had already installed his surgical instruments in the room.
Savyle was a slightly messier young assassin. No sooner had she settled into the room near Veex that she had already transformed the place into a barracks filled with weapons and armor that covered the floor. She was a somewhat chaotic young woman, but she shouldn't be underestimated.
And El-Shay was there, in the big room far back, where even those big windows seemed closed away from the rest of the world.
It was perfect like that. She liked to have a quiet room away from the others where she could watch them. She had been Arkon of the prestigious Blood Diamond Kabal for years. She knew very well that anyone could become… Jealous.
However this time the jealousy came from outside. Indeed, dozens of her precious cargo ships that made the glory of her Kabal had been attacked or simply disappeared overnight, and it had started to titillate the Scourge’s business.
After an investigation led by his right hand, Evra, the face of the prime suspect had finally come to light: Evisive Lekk. An arena master renowned for his gladiator slaves and lavish parties that entertained the great Elites of the Dark city.
And that's where she was.
In a building attached to the home of this great arena master, quietly setting up this little spy mission with his 4 henchmen on the bus quietly showing this bastard that he shouldn't have attacked the Kabal blood diamonds. The Scourge was so close to its prey.
On the other hand, she still had to be patient: Murdering such a popular Noble would have to require a lot of discretion so as not to attract too much attention. Commorragh was merciless.
Before she could gut that idiot, she had to wait a bit and used a lot of manipulation skills.
But it was fine.
She was very good at playing blood chess.
Suddenly, someone knocked on her bedroom door, snapping her out of her conspiratorial thoughts.
"It's Evra, may I come in ma'am?" I have heard from our contact.”
Oh. That, she hoped, was good news.
" Yes. The Scourge replied.
Evra entered with her beautiful pale blue hair. His long bat wings were still quite straight. Her round porcelain face still gave her an innocent look, but El-Shay knew her too well to let that fool her.
Evra was patient and smart. That's why she made the Scourge her right hand.
The blue-haired Scourge walked over to her mistress and sat down on a chair she had provided for her.
"Lerro arrived a little early and therefore decided to go and have fun in a bar with two or three newly acquired slaves..."
And shit. This Reaver was an excellent hunter of information, but he could never help wasting his time in glasses and blade competitions.
The Arkon sighed and clenched her iron claws.
Her black wings had tensed.
“I am surrounded by fools. When's that paunchy idiot bringing his butt here? »
Eve sighed. " Tomorrow morning. If you want my opinion, maybe around noon if he doesn't have too many injuries. And I have a very bad feeling about all this."
She always shay that, but this time, El-shay shared her feelings.
El-Shay got up fiercely from his chair to serve a drink on one of the cabinets in front of his bed. She opened a bottle filled with red liquid then filled her glass.
"If he doesn't hurry up, I'm the one who will hurt him. She said, drinking the red liquid in her glass.

Lerro had just finished half his bottle. He already didn't remember when he walked into that bar. The smell of narcotics didn't help. He just remembered that he had sold one of his slaves. It was... What was it called, the all blue? Ah! Yes, a T'au. This one had allowed him to enter this chic little club.
Small was maybe a little weak as words: In the background there stood three Reaver who had fun ripping off a human's finger with a knife, in the center a player was playing his instrument made of human organ and Eldar and at the bar, of the Succubi spoke of their murderous exploit on civilians whom they had killed while they slept.
His last slave was a young human also with him at the counter. He was shaking.
The pale, thin face turned towards his master. He looked at him with his big brown eyes which were already beginning to lose their colors.
The human was terrified. Lerro turned his eyes slightly toward his slaves. He smirked.
"And why would I do that, Mon-kheig?" he said in an amused tone.
"Please... I have two children waiting for me... Please, I'm afraid for them and..."
"Oh, but it's true that it's all very sad." he said, slowly approaching the chained human.
"...too bad I don't give a fuck."
He took the bottle and smashed it in his slave's face. This one fell on the ground and this mis wept. The Blood Diamond spy couldn't help but laugh a good laugh.
The Waitress didn't seem to have so much fun.
“I hope you will pay for the bottle. By the way, you still haven't paid for the two bottles... I have an idea: pay now as well as the bottle you just broke, and you can order a new bottle. »
"Oh LADY, give another bottle for an old mercenary..."
She held up a bottle. She shook it like a toy you shake in front of a baby. He raised a hand to grab the bottle, but the waitress lifted it higher so he couldn't reach it.
She looked at him with a big smile on her lips.
“He, he, he, pay first!” She said with a wavering voice.
Lerro looked at her darkly. Nobody had the right to make fun of him like that.
He stood up looking her straight in the eyes.
He took the chair where his slave was sitting. Lerro tried to hit the waitress with it, but she dodged the chair which instead hit the back of one of the Succubi. The victim of the chair fell to the ground and her friends were obviously unhappy that their discussions were uninterrupted.
They threw themselves at him, and by reflex, he used his slave as a shield of flesh.
The warriors threw themselves on the slave, and with their sharp knives, covered him with wounds and cut off his limbs while he was still breathing. The poor human was only the first victim of the decadence that continues in this small bar.
The three Reavers who were in the background had rushed to the center and fought with the crowd, the player who just a moment earlier had been playing on top of everyone, was now on the ground, a knife in his throat.
The Succubis were fighting against one of the bar waiters.
Three Kabalists had entered armed with their guns to participate in the bloodbath and the manager of the bar sent his henchmen to try to regain control of his establishment.
Lerro came out behind an overturned table, crawling. He was only a short walk from the exit.
But he just had to wait for one of the Kabalists to walk away.
Whoever was blocking his exit fired a few shots.
The warrior turned his head slightly in the direction of where Lerro was hiding. The Blood Diamonds spy stayed hidden, hoping not to be seen.
The Kabalist remained motionless, then headed into the center to find a new victim. This was the moment Lerro had been waiting for.
He then crawled.
A freshly severed hand fell on his face. He almost screamed in surprise, but he restrained himself. He was too close to fail.
He was only a few centimeters away… and YES! He successfully passed through the exit door and finally came out alive.
He turned his head to see the bar which was now chaotic, and gave a good laugh.
As he turned to run, his smile disappeared: The waitress at the table stood in front of him, a gun in her hand.
She smiled and then exclaimed, "It's time to pay your debts." Then she pulled the trigger.
And just like that, the Kabal of the Blood Diamonds lost Lerro as well as the valuable information he held.

The Cirque du Freak movie wasn't all bad. I'm rewatching it for the first time in like a decade and I genuinely love a lot of its ideas
The intro credits are phenomenal - more movies need animated intros
I love the score + soundtrack
I love how literally everyone in Darren's home town dresses in pastels and are freaky neat, except for rebellious Steve who's allowed to wear dark grey
I love how batshit Darren's parents are. The "college, job, family" scene is honestly a great addition
I love how assholeish Josh Hutcherson's portrayal of Steve is
I love that they're learning about the Cold War in school, which is a really neat parallel to the stalemate of the vampires/vampaneze that had been going on until Darren and Steve got involved
I like that Harkat bites Steve :)
Ken Watanabe is THE perfect choice for Mr Tall, holy fuck
I love the Wolf Man's design
I love that they used practical effects for Evra and the Wolf Man
I love that several of the performers act together, like the Wolf Man + Corma Limbs or Rhamus + Gertha
I am a gay gay homo gay so I love the way they did Madame Truska
I actually think movie Crepsley is really good, even if he's nothing like book Crepsley. He's a different character, but he's an equally enjoyable character
I love that Willem Dafoe is here for some reason. Don't love that he's playing Gavner, of all characters, but I love to see him
The script and story is all over the place but the directing is actually pretty solid

I like that Evra is allowed to say bitch and Steve is allowed to say asswipe. These kids deserve to swear

Well I wasn't trying to be rude and I even started my statement with that but if you wanna go there we can.
You're new so I assume you've looked through my blog, either using the app or on desktop. This means you should have noticed the insane amount of black and red on my page. Or the Millie Turner header, the biggest giveaway.

Look I don't need a whole entire series of it's own but like I'd love to even have a short story of snippets following Evra during the times Darren wasn't around.
I wanna see my awkward snake man asking his girl out for a date, or how he proposed and their wedding. First time Dad Evra / finding out he's to be a dad.
How he feels knowing his best friend isn't around to share the experience (not his fault he knows and understands why Darren is away but gotta hurt y'know )

During 2020 and 2021, i was in a bad place. My life turn upside down cause of COVID Lockdown, I became anxious of big things and little things (fear of aging, judgement) . I waste so much time worrying my brain to overwhelming headaches. I used to take comfort in reading and TV shows but to me, I felt I read all the good books and the good shows and there was nothing left that give the HIGH FLYING RUSH. not even my favourite music because what is the point. So I bury myself deeper into my Anxiety, feeling miserable…
and then I saw the Final Space Season 3 trailer. And the RUSH came RIGHT BACK.
I started Final Space in 2018 thinking it was another tasteless dumb adult cartoon like family guy or some rick and morty rip off. I was wrong. DEAD WRONG (I seriously slapped my 2018 self). I learn that right after episode 6. And as I journey with the team squad, I fell completely and utterly in love with every single member. (Expect KVN. Fuck KVN) I thought I couldn't be any more in love but after season 3, I was WRONG. Again. The Final Space RUSH seemed to wash all my mental BS away and made me like a excited kid AGAIN. I didn't care about aging, I didn't care about be judged. And I DIDN'T GIVE A FLYING FUCK ABOUT THE BIG THINGS AND LITTLE THINGS.
That's why it FUCKING HURT when the cancellation happen. Seriously, WHAT THE FUCK. Stop after that Cliffhanger, Warnermedia not giving Olan the rights to HIS STORY and NOW written as a TAX WRITE OFF.

kabal of the blood diamond- 40k AU
So I have decided to make my own lil AU with @rowscara 's accord.
Some people where having some fun making AU with her Ocs, and I though I could do my part with a darker AU ( for now I'm gonna call it the Blood Diamond Kabal)
It is a plot that mingle the Ynnari and Vect conflict , where Marc , El-Shay and her lil team have to cooperate to survive and discover who betrayed them and have revenge.
Please note that Marc-André and El-Shay belong to @rowscara
The detaillaid sinopsis is down but I'll first introduce the OCs

The OCs
El-Shay : A ouce powerfull noble leader of the Blood diamond Kabal, she now seek revange for those who had destroyed her Kabal.
Marc-André DeFrague: A elit sniper , ounce Hero of the Emperium, who was enslaved by drukari. He now''work'' with Shay's lil surviving team. He hope to get free and finish his hit list and confront his father for secretive reason.
Evra: She is El-Shay 's most ''trusted'' right hand, and generally take care bureaucratic , business and control information. She is Berbedual's wife.
Berbedual: He his a Haemonculi that used to take care of shipping ''alfblood'' that where born in his lab. He sadly lost almost all the embryo during the aid, but was able to save a few. He actually like the human and let Marc-André tell bedtime story to the surviving encapsulated child.
Veex: He is the equivalent of a ''Haker'' and is good with technology. He has alcoolic probleam
Sha'vara: an ex Mercenary who is now an assassin. She is good with poison and sneaking. And strangly, a good pilote.
Now is the more detailled plot:
El-Shay is one of the many nobles that has influenced the dark city of Commorragh. Her Kabal, the Blood Diamonds, had been feared and also revered for being one of the best trade/ courier company in the city.
Recently, her business has been disturbed since many of her trade ship has disappeared without trace. Her agent was able to lead her to a wealthy Arena owner ( named Kurb ) where many slave and gladiatrix combat each other.
It turns out the guy really like to party for weeks and invite many other nobles to his bloody parties and bloody games.
She and her team , Evra, Berbedual, Veex and She’vara go on a spy mission in the hope of finding an answer and kill the one who dares hurt her Kabal.
It is during gladiatorial combat that El-Shay first meet Marc-André. The gladiator had special implant and spine augmentations that make move and react in a flash of light, making him Kurd ‘s most talented and deadly slave the Scourge has seen. She thought she could perhaps use him for her own agenda.
During one night , she met the ex guardsmen in his cell and used her charm to make a pact with him: She would get him free , alongside some nice night in her room, and in exchange the men would tell everything that happened to his ‘’owner’’ that he hated so much.
She of course had no intention to keep part of her bargain and after using him, she planned to sell the mon-keigh. What can we say, that's just how it is in Commorragh.
After a few pleasant night , Marc-André kinda started to feel used by the scourge and he didn’t liked to be betrayed ( especially that a part of him got really attached to her).
So he decided to escape by himself. Sadly he was caught and after a few misadventure, tortured by Kurb who told him that he would be free if he explained himself.
El-Shay and her team where captured and brought to the Slave owner, and a mysterious Eldar that Marc seem to recognize. Shay’s plan was exposed by Marc-André. He demanded his owner to set him free. But Kub told him and everyone : No, for you are all Ynnari traitor.
After a bloody battle, El-Shay , her team and Marc where able to escape Kurb and the mysterious guard ‘s house. But it costed El-Shay ‘s whole empire: Her house , her guards and crew where all killed and destroyed. The Scourge was in ruin.
The lil group were able to hide in a ancient tower, where both the human and Drukharis reluctantly have to cooperate to stay alive.
Unknown to them, they are about to discover a great plot that mingle Ynnari and Vect ‘s conflict, betrayal amongst Eldar and The Empire’s secrets.

Patrice’s story is familiar to many male survivors, he was abused starting at 12, but didn’t tell anyone until much later in life. His quote really rang true to me, and felt very similar:
“It wasn’t until opening up to his fiancé Margaux Alexandra that he decided to share his experiences.
“So that’s why I don’t want people to say ‘Wow, Patrice, you’re so brave. You’re so courageous to talk openly about that,’” he said.
“It’s not about that. The victim – it’s not because they are brave. It’s because it’s the right moment where you feel safe and trust.”
How many times have we heard “why did you wait so long to speak out?” Have we considered what we’ve done to make survivors feel safe to do so? Have we considered what our friend or family group would need to look like in order for a survivor to feel safe opening up about their experiences? Guys is it more common for a story about a public figure talking about abuse or mental health issues to be met with a sympathetic comment within your group or ridicule? Have you stopped to consider what that snide remark about the “crazy loser” tells the people around you about how safe they would be talking about abuse?
I’ll give you a hint, it’s the opposite of safe, and is a contributing factor to men staying silent about childhood abuse until middle age in the average case.
That’s a whole lot of years dealing with it alone.
