On February 20, 2014, Russian soldiers with weapons but without identification marks invaded Ukrainian Crimea. Soon, Russia occupied the peninsula, began armed aggression in the east of Ukraine, and in 2022 — a full-scale war.
Ukraine has been fighting for freedom, justice, and peace for ten years. We fight to liberate Crimea and every Ukrainian village, town, and city. But most importantly, we fight for people who are subjected to terror and intimidation in the temporarily occupied territories yet resist Russia's suppression and wait for Ukraine.
We are at our home, we are with our people, with our dream of a peaceful future and duty to protect what's ours. No one will take our freedom. Because we know what we are fighting for.
Speaker Johnson has flip flopped from his earlier principled position of full support for Ukraine’s victory.
Turns out Speaker Mike Johnson was a beneficiary of Russian campaign funds for his political career! He and GOP congresspersons must join to pass Ukraine Aid and end hostage taking with unrelated crisis.
In fact GOP initially wanted a “stand alone” bill! May be someone could talk some sense into the Speaker, he has a job to do, “legislating”, and not play hostage games!
"A group of Russian nationals were able to donate to newly elected House Speaker Mike Johnson's campaign in 2018 by funneling the money through a U.S. company." – Ewan Palmer
One of the men behind the company, Nikolaev, an oligarch with close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin, was also found to have financially backed Maria Butina, a Russian citizen who lived in Washington D.C. Butina was sentenced to 18 months in prison in 2019 after admitting to acting as an unregistered foreign agent to infiltrate conservative political groups and influence foreign policy to Russia's benefit before and after the 2016 election.” More at https://www.newsweek.com/house-speaker-mike-johnson-donations-russia-butina-1838501
I just wanted to send my best wishes, I'm not religious but I'm still praying for you and your whole country. I hope we hear from you soon, and that you're safe and healthy.
Hi! Thank you very much for your kindness and your support! The war's keep turning into the next swirl of this devil's funnel. It's not easy and it's still lasting. And we keep fighting. If you see my cheerful posts about sims here it's not because I feel good, but because I want to feel good. I want to keep sane. And my little sim's world sometimes helps me, distracts me from my gloomy thoughts. Adding a video with another stray cat we met with my sister recently. As you can hear… again. Under the sound of air sirens:
She's very sweet and super friendly this new kitty^^ I believe she used to belong to someone. She already showed a peculiar behavior trait. She won't eat unless you pet her:D
P.S. Усім моїм любим українцям - тримайтися котики та цуценята, ми сильніщі за цю навалу, ми вистоїмо. Вірте. Все буде Україна🌻
💔 A Ukrainian poet and soldier, Maksym Kryvtsov, was killed by Russians at the front. He first volunteered for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2014. After the full-scale Russian invasion began in 2022, he returned to its ranks to defend Ukraine.
Just yesterday, Maksym posted a photo with his new poetry book called "Poems from the loophole". It was recognised by PEN Ukraine, an NGO protecting freedom of speech and authors' rights, as one of the best Ukrainian books of 2023.
Shortly before his death, Maksym also posted a photo with his ginger cat on Instagram. The cat, to whom he had dedicated a poem, died with him.
Russia keeps killing Ukrainian poets and trying to destroy our culture. The evil must be held accountable for every crime, every life, and every word taken away.
Missile strike on the village of Groza in Kharkiv region
On October 5th ruzzia launched an Iskander missile strike on the village of Groza, more precisely - on its main grocery store and cafe where commemoration for Andriy Kozyr, a Ukrainian war veteran, was carried out. 52 people were killed. The total population of the village before war was about 500 people. Before the missile strike about 100 people lived there. Do the math yourself.
Some of those who were killed:
The whole family of Andriy
His son Denys Kozyr - before the full-scale ruzzian war Denys and his father worked in Poland, on February 24th they decided to come back to Ukraine and protect their country.
Son’s wife Nina Kozyr - studied musical art to become a teacher
Mother of Nina and grandparents of Denys were also killed.
Viktoriya Sapach - a nurse in the emergency department
Alina Sirokurova & Maksym Sirokurov - a couple of entrepreneurs who were selling children's toys and clothes. The couple had two sons, 2 & 4 yo, who are now orphans thanks to ruzzians
Volodymyr Mukhovatyy - a computer science teacher, head of the financial literacy club. His mother and wife died as well.
Tamara Solyanyk - a math teacher
The youngest victim was 8 years old.
It is always painful to read about victims of ruzzian death cult, because behind each of them there are parents who lost their child, spouses who lost their partner, children who lost their parents etc etc etc. So many memories and joyful moments that will never be made. But it’s even more painful and terrifying to read about whole families being wiped out by a single rocket. Nobody was left behind, there are only empty houses and photographs that no one will look at anymore.
Genocide is ruzzian culture.
(last picture - a cardboard says “Taken. Mukhovatyy. 3 people”)
