Reading Salem's Lot and decided to draw the secondary villain Richard Stracker
First is how he appears in the book, then how he appears in the 1979 miniseries played by James Mason and then in the 2004 miniseries played by Donald Sutherland

So I have a rare(ish) copy of Salem's Lot that I didn't want to destroy with my thirsty annotations for Lewis Pullman's Ben Mears, so I went to buy a new one.
NOTICE ANYTHING, Y'ALL?

Day #12: Mr. Harrigan's Phone (2022)
Day #12: Mr. Harrigan’s Phone (2022)
Sometimes a story should stay a story. In the case of the works of Stephen King, I have thought that sentiment many times. I know why studios want to adapt his stories for the screen. I can sum it up in one word… money. “Based on the story by Stephen King” is what gets people in the movie seats. Some of the seats are filled because diehard King fans want to see if the film lives up to the source…

1983, the year that Star Wars Episode VI – Return of the Jedi was released, also saw the release of no less than three films adapted from the work of Stephen King: Christine, Cujo, and The Dead Zone. At the time, this was the largest number of Stephen King films released in a single year.
This record would stand until 2017, when it was exceeded by four Stephen King films in a single year: 1922, The Dark Tower, Gerald's Game, and It Chapter One. 2017 also saw the release of Star Wars Episode VIII – The Last Jedi.
As we all know, correlation implies causation, which raises a very important question: do Stephen King movies cause films whose titles contain the word "Jedi", or do films whose titles contain the word "Jedi" cause Stephen King movies?

I firmly believe we will not have a successful movie adaptation of It until the director accepts that the focus of the story is not horror.
The clown doesn’t fucking matter. It’s not about him. It’s about growing up in a shitty town with people who suck as much as you do. I don’t give a shit about mr clown and even less of a shit about that good for nothing turtle. The only clown I care about is Richie Tozier and he’s in thin ice for a completely separate reason.
In short:

This quote alone explains so much about why so many of Stephen King's characters are written as though they're queer. Stephen King thinks that there is nothing gay about a man being in love with another dude. Like straight guys just fall "deeply and passionately" in love with guys sometimes. He unintentionally created so many queer characters because he thinks that falling in love with members of the same sex is something straight people do.

1990 bev kissing two of the losers on the mouth and hugging the rest and then telling them later that she fell in love with all of them as kids. 1990 eddie coming out as a virgin and saying he could never sleep with anyone except the losers because he'd never loved anyone but them. WHO is doing it like them

Thought, what if Stephen Kings novels were made during the classic horror periods like from the 30's to the 60's ?
What would Cycle of the Werewolf or Pet Semetary by universal look like?Hammers Salems Lot ?Mario Bava doing It or the Shining ?Roger Corman at AIP doing Carrie or Christine ? Who of Kings great characters would be played by Lugosi,Lorre,Karloff ,Cushing ,Rathbone ,Chaney Jr ,Carridine ,or Price ?
