every couple of years it happens that I need new highlighters and I'm not willing to order my beloved mildliners online because I I need them NOW. and every couple of years I go to a stationery shop and pick up some stabilo boss highlighters, favourite of everyone in my area, apparently. and every couple of years I remember that these highlighters SUCK ASS.

Zebra mildliners <3

Kokuyo campu binders and notebooks, grid paper tho as I’ve shifted away from using ruled/lined paper

Muji gel pens 0.5 (not the biggest fan of the 0.38 size)

Most gel pens in general

Brush pens! I’ve used zebra, tombow, etc

zebra milk gel pens (I think that’s what they’re called? They write so nice and the colors are so cute)

stabilo boss highlighters (pastel)

that’s all I can think of right now. But I am an avid stationery lover and collector. The bigger I can grow my collection the better!

The Bruce Farr designed 58-foot aluminum Maiden has won the 2023-24 Ocean Globe Race, taking first in IRC handicap rankings against the 14-boat fleet. They have also been written into the history books as the first ever all-women crew to win an around the world yacht race.

The former Whitbread yacht, sailed by an international crew took the title after 153d 2h 16m 53s of racing around the world. Virtually none of the crew had previously faced such an epic challenge and only one had sailed in the Southern Ocean before.  …

“It’s very exciting to be the first all-female crew to win an around the world race,” noted skipper Heather Thomas, the youngest skipper in the fleet. “It’s a historic moment. The girls have worked really hard for it and we’re very proud of our achievement.

“To those we raced against, it’s been a pleasure to get to know them and we’re going to miss them. It’s been an incredible first OGR and I hope the ones that follow are as good. Maiden won’t do the next one, but I will.”

It’s fitting that Maiden should take the title with her poignant Whitbread history, as she came fourth in the 1981-82 Whitbread, known then as Disque D’Or 3. She was later renamed Stabilo Boss for the 1986-87 BOC single-handed challenge, coming seventh. In 1987, she was bought by Tracy Edwards MBE, who made headlines in the 1989 Whitbread skippering the iconic yacht around the world with an all-female crew.

I have been out of The Planner Game for a while, but i tried to look up what the new hot highlighters that are hip with the kids are, and it is somehow STILL stabilo boss pastels and zebra mildliners

#its 2024 how are we not further ahead in the highlighting game?? #and dont even get me started on the fact that the only reasonable option for an a5 dotted notebook is still leuchtturm 1917 #(although Nuuna notebooks look... alright. at least worthy of more research) #YEAH i bujod all through our high school and university. what of it.

Stationary list for back to school

This is a list of stationary you will need for the new school year because the schools don’t seem to tell us this stuff

1.good pens: find the type of pen that is the most flattering for your handwriting because if your teacher sees nice handwriting they might give you more points on your essays or exams. My favourite pens are the papermate felt tip pens

2.pencils: I recommend getting HB 2B and 4B pencils for a good variety of heavy and light marks

3. Erasers: I would recommend STAEDTLER or Faber castell

4. Colouring pencils: my personal favourites are the Faber castell water colour pencils

5. Highlighters: I don’t recommend the classic neon colours as those can be quite harsh. Instead I would use the STABILO BOSS ORIGINAL pastel colours, your notes will thank me

6:tip-ex(white out): I recommend the tip-ex mouse over the bottle or pen as it doesn’t need to dry, it doesn’t crack and it’s not lumpy

7: a black sharpie: try get one with a thick and thin end

8. Glue: do not, I repete DO NOT get liquid glue or colourful glue jus get a pritt-stick

9. Scissors: I get the red handled scotch scissors

10.a pencil sharpener: I find Metal ones work the best

11.sticky notes: get thick and thin ones

12.a note book: A4 no bigger this is just for writing down info about events etc. not for notes

and finally

13. Flash cards: I will die on the hill that this method of learning works and I have live evidence to support this

I got a new inkpen yesterday, which I can fill with india ink and I‘m absolutely IN LOVE with it qwq

Of course I had to make a sketchbook-spread for everything I have in my pencil case and take with me everywhere.

also I strive to have items that I can use for years and years and can swap out So from top to bottom:

Faber-Castell — mechanical pencil (the thiccc lead-refill kind): 6 years

Faber-Castell — ballpoint pen: close to 3 years (pf course I broke off the clippy thingy)

Indigraph — refillable india ink pen: got it yesterday

Pentel — brush-pen: 5 years (even tho they tell you not to do I am refilling it with india ink for 5 years now)

Stabilo Boss — highlighters in pastel orange and pastel violet: a 2 months (refillable)

Pentel — watertank brush: 5 years

Schmincke Horadam — 14 small pans of water colours in a travel size box: 3 years (I can get new pans whenever I run out)

What I also keep in my pencil case

MUJI — small ruler: 3 years

No-name — folder-stick (basically to help paper with a pre-folded line to fold) — 10 years

Faber-Castell — lead-refill pencil sharpener

Staedtler — Mars Plastic eraser: the only thing apart from refills I have to change it out regularly

A small ink vial with india ink to refill my pen.

I used a variety of brands!

Mostly highlighters, Artist's Loft and Zebra midliner. I also used a bit of Promarkers and Stabilo Boss here n there as well! And for the "sparkles"/ touch ups, I used a white correction pen and white Gelly Roll pen c:
