A few days ago, some part of me decided to latch on to the idea that the '12 version of the Ghost-Ronin friendship would be between Nate and Titan (of Sweeneydino's Spikeangelo AU). Like, they're not from different versions of '12. They're living under the same roof.

Nate thought it was weird that Raph's turtle seemed to exhibit symptoms of depression, but didn't really think about it until ten years later when holy shit that's a massive turtle. Something about him is familiar, but Nate didn't know any other mutant turtles back in his world... unless..?

Titan, meanwhile, is absolutely certain that Nate is some version of Donatello, but. Like. How??? Did Nate reincarnate here too, or? Do the other turtles know Nate's from another dimension? Because if they do, it'll be so easy to realize Titan's from another dimension, and he does NOT want to answer those questions.

It might end up, for a while, with Nate and Ronin skirting around each other while mentally doing the pointing Spiderman meme.

This is hilarious

No, the kids have no idea that Nate's from another dimension. Only Splinter knows! Nate told him when he was first found, and they decided not to tell the kids, hence his name being shortened to "Nate". They find out later on in the show, obviously, when they meet up with the '87 turtles and realize there are parallel turtles. Once you know about that it becomes pretty obvious who Nate is. But before that, they have no idea!

Nate's entirely confused. I think he'd probably have some part of his brain recognizing Titan as a Michelangelo but he'd be like "well that doesn't make any sense there's already a Mikey here." Nate knows about alternate realities, he has no idea about reincarnation.

It wouldn't be the exact same as the Ghost-Ronin friendship, because Nate is a lot younger, but it'd still be nice for him to be able to talk to someone. Because Titan, I imagine, would recognize that Nate is just Donnie from another universe right away. He's more stable than Ghost, but of course he still misses his family. He still feels alone sometimes. So having someone who also lost their brothers, who gets it, would help a lot.

Do you ever think that Ronin’s brothers in the afterlife wondered where he is? Because I feel like they would panic, somehow cause chaos in the afterlife, find Mikey. But uh oh it’s the wrong Mikey, and 12 Mikey is now freaked out on why there are three turtle ghosts that suspiciously look like his brothers that started tailing him.

And the Ronins brothers are like oh! Mikey must have reincarnated into this little Mikey right? Meanwhile Titan has to listen to his “little brothers” tease Mikey for seeing Ghosts.

No Mikey is safe 😔

They might look spooky but they are actually relieved to see him :P it's just terrifying for mikey to look at them
