Good faith question:

I looked into the bi/pan argument and I see how they’re the same and the problems with “everything’s fluid, there are no lines.”

That being said, I’m wondering why you don’t like neopronouns? Since pronouns are about what ppl are comfortable being called I thought they were fine. Ex: many binary ppl use “they.”

I never heard anyone use neopronouns except for when I went to a place with a lot of very depressed queer teenagers, and many of them used neopronouns. I’m pretty sure they weren’t doing it for the heck of it since they were all really struggling, so I’m wondering:

1. What do you find problematic about neopronouns

and

2. Do you think they’re okay if they aren’t used just for the heck of it?

My issue with neopronouns is that pronouns are not just words you are comfortable with, they're specifically to describe your gender. I'm he/him because I am a trans man, not because I like he/him pronouns or for any other reason aside from it's the proper way to describe me as a man.

I think neopronouns generally contribute to making trans people look like a massive joke in the same way that xenogenders and all other MOGAI nonsense does. They are not necessary, they serve absolutely no practical purpose.

The only time I don't really care about neopronouns being used is like, in your own online circles. But they're not something I think will ever be sensible to use in real life, or outside of your own social circles. To be perfectly frank, if you are in such a precarious mental place that somebody refusing to call you "it" or"ey" or whatever other "pronoun" you've chosen is going to cause you severe distress or cause you to harm yourself in some way, you NEED therapy URGENTLY. Neos are just another extension of MOGAI hyperindividuality. Other MOGAI labels make people feel comfortable but I'm still against those too, for similar reasons to what I've listed here.

I will add I know there are some neopronouns that have existed for a while, such as ze/hir (I think), but I don't really subscribe to those either. This is a classic case of you can call yourself whatever you want, but that doesn't mean other people have to go along with it if it's absolutely ridiculous. And if your mental health is resting on your nonsense MOGAI identity, then you are in desperate need of help. I fully believe trans & other dysphoric people deserve to have pronouns and names and genders respected, but neos and xeno genders aren't trans. It's mostly kids who feel the need to be special and differentiate themselves.

To be clear, I don't condone bullying random kids for using neos or xenogenders or whatever because I do absolutely understand that a lot of those kids are struggling in some way, but that doesn't mean that I have to support a bunch of nonsense that's not doing anything good for the LGBT community.

So this one is a little personal post, that I will probably make invisible in the morning, but I have no where else to post it, since my family is all over sm and they are nosy and judgmental.

Don't get me wrong, I love them, but they are not the best of cheerleaders.

When I was about eleven, my grandmother saw a picture of me and my sisters holding a baby crocodile. It was a sweet picture of all her grandchildren in one frame, but what she saw was the redness from the popsicle I had on my lips and noted, out loud, how pretty I look wearing lipstick.

It's not something you want to tell a ,barely past the age of ten, child.

If it was a one off, I'd probably would have let it go, but it wasn't, for every year ever since I have heard my grandmother tell me how much better I would look with makeup, how much it is attractive, that I should not let myself go.

And I would always be offended and take to heart, to the point I would not go to my grandparents' house without wearing makeup.

Up until a couple of years ago, when I finally started therapy and learned to love myself as I am.

It was always about, how I look and what I'm wearing and whether I dyed my hair or wore earrings, I was taught that in order for others to like me I have to present a person that I'm not. A doll to admire and love.

Therapy helped me stand up, look my grandmother in the eye, and tell her that I am just as pretty in a natural look. Just wearing my own face.

Over time, my grandmother's comments about makeup and hair and weight turned into funny little anecdotes. My sisters and I tell each other after our latest adventure at my grandparents' house.

Today, my sister came back from visiting our grandmother and told me and my mom about how she told her that she looks naked in her body colored tights, how her feet smell (after a long day at work), how she got fat and how her friend that accompanied her is not thin at all.

My mom said that my sister doesn't take it to heart, and we both said that after years of growing accustomed to getting nothing but criticism from our loved ones, we all just take it in stride now and take it with humor. And I added just like I learned to not let the "You look better wearing makeup" comment get to me anymore.

That got my mom to turn on me and say in the most judgmental way, "How can you be two years in therapy and not learn to forgive?"

I said that just because I forgave doesn't mean I forget. Some things are just not easy to scrape off and get rid of. I forgave, I let it go when it comes up, but these little comments shaped my whole life, making me think I'm never going to be good enough as I am.

This turned into a whole sermon about me not letting shit go, and others just want the best for me and led to talking about how me thinking that wishing me nothing but a husband and a child (and nothing else) for my own birthday is a bad thing and my mother saying that I'm taking this the wrong way and what's so bad about that?

And it all went downhill from there. In the end, the fun vibe ebbed away, and I got left with a crappy feeling, and only hours later did I realize again that somehow my old wounds turned to be about my mother and how she's feeling and how I'm not allowed to feel anything that is not aligned with her way of thinking.

And how she made me the bad person in the situation when this was never about her.

Don't let toxic ppl tell you how to feel. Don't let them dictate you what to remember, what to forget, what to forgive, or which feelings to hold onto.

Narcissistic people will always find a way to make your life about them, don't let them.

You are strong, you're beautiful, you're smart, you're creative, you're loved and you're loving.

And you are everything else you want to be.

honestly it’s such a generic trope but i do genuinely love the concept of rose and kanaya flirting a lot with each other prior to dating, but never picking up on each others advances. both as an expansion of their pre-meteor/act 5 dynamic (lots of banter, slight mental warfare, two girls trying to see how long it takes the other to pick up what they’re putting down, flighty broads and their snarky horseshit, yadda yadda) and in the context of their miscommunication on their first date.

rose leaning on kanaya’s shoulder as she reads over a book about quadrants, and rose tells her that’s sooo interesting, she wonders if humans can engage in this stuff, and kanaya shuts her down with a vague Im Sure You Will Find Out Someday. kanaya making rose dozens of outfits, all lovingly designed, adjusting rose’s outfit when she puts it on and telling her that she wishes she could dress her like this all of the time, she’s never had a model quite like her, and rose is just like Well of course, if you ever have anything you’d like me to wear you’re welcome to invite me over. both of them die over these encounters later

something about rose and kanaya being confident enough to flirt w each other but too stupid to fully pick up on the Implications. always trying to tip the scale in their favor to force the others hand, never quite having the strength to outright admit that they like each other (until rose is shitfaced and stumbling). i think it’s a fun means to escalate their early banter as they become more acclimated to each other and develop Feelings.

The other day I was talking to @vaultureculture about Kuras' having a bit of owl in his design and that made me look for his 'biblically' accurate form because my memory was fuzzy, but my brain had been cooking for a while already and I needed answers.

After looking at his real form, I have to wonder: are angels in this world really this grotesque, or is it just Kuras?

If so, is this disfigurement a punishment given before he, willfully, decided to ostricize himself, or is it the effect of him being away from his 'exalted origins' for so long?

His real body seems to stand between rotting corpse and an alien figure - a carcass well-past rigor mortis of an otherwordly creature, yet somehow this thing feels oddly... alive, almost if it were an empty exoskeleton clinging to life out of sheer will or even spite. Or perhaps it is meant to mirror the very essence of this world of decay in it's full, blunt, raw glory.

Maybe it's the effect of his immeasurable guilt, corroding his very essence. Just what did this angel do, or perhaps did not do, to deserve eternal purgatory? What is necessary for a divine being to decide for themselves that they deserve such fate?

Was it even his idea? What if it's somebody else's will that Kuras is carrying out as his own, ever true and loyal to his role as a messenger to the very end? How much of all of this is something he actually wants and thinks by himself he ought to do in order to purge whatever wrongdoing of his?

A MC with The Unnamed background seems to know Kuras (or at least seems to be in tune with a being like him), and a familiarity between the two is hinted at in the demo. Is Kuras always this open with everybody, or is it just with MC? Why was he so familiar with us, to the point he even laughs and MC reacts to his touch like they remember it? Does he just feel that much at ease around us or do we actually know each other, somehow?

What is going on with Kuras?

Is his body decaying due to heavy shame and guilt, or is it just like that, a horrifyingly indecipherable view to anything mundane?

Or is it standing in between worlds, in the limbo between holy and corrupt, never forgetting the past but also never looking forward to the future, that is pulling him apart?

Other outfits are a wip. I was gonna wait until they were done but couldn't resist sharing what I was working on for a week.

Plus a look at the Moon Serpent, a common form Ko'jin takes. I'd like to think the Moon Serpent is more commonly known by his followers than the man himself. There are others he takes, like the Silver Wolf, but the dragon is the one most associated with him.

He's relatively unknown after the war before Skyloft's ascent, his image having been completely removed from history. The few traces of him by OOT/MM would be oral tradition, specifically through family members as bedtime stories and legends to tell. Stories about a curious serpent and a powerful artifact.

After the events of MM, the Moon Serpent becomes active again and the festivals dedicated to it return.

Ko’jin, Bounty hunter chosen by Goddess Farore.

“Ko’jin” is not his real name. Once a mortal becomes a god, they abandon their original name. He was never given a proper one again aside from nicknames by worshippers and other deities. Ko’jin is a nickname given to him by his future wife when they first met.

He wears facepaint which is mixed with magic to bolster strength and speed. And later he would get tattoos that did the same [seen later].

Before becoming a god he was a bounty hunter [and popular at that, often being the favorite of a neighboring town]. He would take commission to hunt down monsters many others refused to go near.

Ko’jin has a strong affinity for magic [he uses it practically every day] and often imbues the edges of his sword with darkness magic. Though, the element given to his sword can still vary depending on what or who he’s fighting.

His undersuit and white tunic are much more protective than the brass chainmail, which instead is used more for artistic liberty than function.

“Early Days Moon Serpent”

Ko’jin’s god form was often a dragon for the ease of guiding lost spirits to the afterlife [he’s a judgement god with a very strong connection to the dead and guiding those spirits became his secondary function].

[During the first war with Demise] Soldiers often saw this form as the “Spirit of Courage” and their protector. They worshipped him and gave him gifts in hopes that he’d watch over him [and guide them to a better afterlife if they were to fall in battle (that secondary function). He basically became a huge symbol for soldiers specifically and I feel like this would feed the “War God” title he was given way later on despite not actually being a War God.]

In many ancient artifacts [ones that could be found at least], the Moon Serpent would be as either a two-headed serpent or two separate beings with their horns crossed. [There’s going to be a lot of “two’s” with him. Two swords, two lives, etc. in depictions of him the two heads/bodies of the serpent would be called “the Body” and “the Spirit”. Later on he’s split into two to be sealed away in a similar theme. “Two lives” refers to the before and after his sealing as he loses his memory of his “past life” and becomes a new person (hence a different appearance). I can see Hylia having foresaw a lot of this tbh.]

AU where Laufey gives birth to Loki very unexpectedly (he'd just manged to carry and birth one heir, and they both barely survived the process) and Loki's so small that he's struggling to live in Jotunheim's harsh climate. They keep him close to some old, rarely used furnaces/fireplaces to keep him warm, but he's still constantly shivering and crying and Laufey can't even hold him long enough to feed him.

So, just a few days after giving birth to Loki, Laufey shows up in Asgard alone and looking exhausted and rough, wanting to talk with Odin. Jotunheim and Asgard have been long time enemies, with war being a constant threat hanging over their collective heads, so Laufey showing up and basically begging Odin to take his baby and raise it is a bit of shock.

But maybe he's feeling a little soft because Frigga just gave birth to Thor (the same day Loki was born- what a coincidence!) and agrees to raise Loki to adulthood after quickly negotiating a very lopsided deal. (Because Odin's still gotta be a bit of jerk and take advantage of his enemy when he's desperate.) Laufey rushes back to Jotunheim and Odin informs Frigga she's gonna have an extra baby to take care of.

Needless to say, a lot of people - especially on Laufey's side- don't love this whole plan very much. They would very much rather have Loki just die on Jotunheim than have a prince raised in Asgard and let Odin get what he wants. Laufey knows this but just cannot give a single shit. He's lost so many babies and he cannot bear the thought of watching another one die right before his eyes. He's all on his own again when Odin + Frigga and a handful of some other Asgardians show up for the Loki hand off and get the deal started. Laufey is pretty fucking miserable about the whole situation but feels a little hope when he hands Loki to Frigga and she clearly falls in love with his tiny screaming infant right then and there. Still hurts when she has to instantly turn around and whisk him off to Asgard.

And Frigga was definitely pissed when Odin told her The Plan. She literally just gave birth, she's frazzled even with the help of like, 1000 maids and nurses. But Loki's so tiny and fragile and She Just Knows she has to keep this lil guy safe and loved. And after having him looked over and getting him warm and fed she plops him into the crib right next to Thor and Just Knows that these boys where meant to be together.

>>Fast forward>> and now The Time Has Come: Loki's almost an adult and he has to go back to Jotunheim.

Except there's one little tiny thing Odin's neglected to mention to anyone (not even Frigga) - once Loki goes to Jotunheim, he can't come back. No visits, no letters, no nothing. It was agreed that it would be essentially like the whole raising Loki on Asgard thing never happened at all. (Why? Because The Drama.)

Now Thor and Loki are incredibly close, they're brothers! They always assumed even after Loki had to go that they'd at least get to talk through letters and have the occasional visit. It would still suck, but they'd have something. So the news that their upcoming birthday would be the last day they'd share together. Ever. It's like a bomb being dropped on the dinner table.

(Frigga's not to pleased that Odin would have the Fucking Audacity to plop a baby in her lap to love and raise as her own then expect her to be fine when he ripped him out of her arms- like, yeah, she's had The Visions and knows her boys are gonna be together one way or another but it still doesn't make what Odin has done any better in her eyes. Especially having to console her shocked, heartbroken boys in the aftermath. Oh she is Pissed.)

Loki had always felt very out of place in Asgard. People were generally polite and kind, but he never felt truly welcomed by anyone aside from Thor, Frigga, and the handful of the maids/guards/pages etc. that he was around the most. Odin certainly made him feel like a temporary intrusion upon his life. So he'd often dreamed about getting to go live on Jotunheim and be with his people- except when he gets there he feels just as out of place and maybe even a little more unwelcome then he had back on Asgard. A lot of Jotuns (especially the more powerful set) where still very unhappy with the deal Laufey made to save him and they would've really preferred that Loki had just died instead.

And the fact that he literally just doesn't fit in that well, size-wise. Despite having a wing of his own sized to fit him, everything else is huge, and despite being hearty enough to survive the climate now, it's still far too cold for him to really do much or anything. The only place he really has outside of the palace is a Little Asgard-esque town set up a bit away from the city, where Asgard set up one of their mining operations as part of Odin and Laufey's deal over Loki, and now where the more country/redneck-ish Asgardians and Jotuns come to live and work for weeks/months at a time. The people are vastly more friendly to him there, at least.

But, apart from that and Laufey desperately trying to catch up and get to know his long lost son, Loki spends most of his time being sad and alone in his bedroom, wishing he could see and talk to Thor again.

Meanwhile, Asgard has become one massive puddle.

The first week after Loki left Thor was just in shock. He kept walking to Loki's empty room and the library and all the little corners and quiet spots Loki used to hide out in. It didn't seem real that Loki was just gone, and that he was somehow supposed to just forget their entire childhood together. He couldn't fathom it.

And then, out of nowhere, The Anger comes. He creates a massive storm that he couldn't control even if he wanted to and it lasts for weeks. He barely sleeps or eats, never leaves his room. Odin manages to be smart enough for once to not bother him, but Frigga eventually risks venturing into his hurricane destroyed bedroom to prod him into committing a little treason for True Love and helpfully informs him about the bridge that they use to send the Asgardian miners to and from Jotunheim, and how crazy would it be if Thor dressed extra casual one day and happened to get a bit lost traversing the countryside and accidentally found his way on to that bridge and got sent over to Jotunheim? That would be so fucking weird, right???

(And what if Thor happened to get there right at the start of Jotunheim's summer when the sky becomes a big swirl of pink and purple and orange for that one month or so and it's conveniently the same time that Jotun's become fertile and they celebrate with a massive festival where they harvest one of their land's 2 or 3 flowers that they make into a tea and works as an aphrodisiac and that the Asgardians have figured out how to turn into a moonshine-esque liquor that is even more potent than the tea and Loki and Thor have no idea about any of this they just know that they've been apart for too long and that they need each other in every way imaginable and they need these clothes off RIGHT NOW.)

ngl most of the comics I've been doing is motivated by "I need to practice comicing" HWJAJEKWQLQL because I really want to get better at it :D And for imagination I'd say that I can't take 100% credit for all the ideas, because a lot of them (for comics) came from the promised neverland and from chatting with sherin and zipzap LOL, so yeah it comes from brainrotting and chatting with friends I'd say :D

But also it is motivated by "I need to make this into a (tiny) story" instead of just an illustration if that makes sense!

Im curious about your dystopian AU :O?

ohhhh thank you!! :D it's definitely the one I'm most passionate about because it's got some interesting things in it I think! (this reminds me I gotta finish my ref sheet at least for Emmet...) but yeah! I can't remember what I wrote in my post about it a while back, but in a nutshell it's really an attempt at a redemption story for Volo (the Volo we know from PLA, that timeline) because what happens is sometime after he's defeated at the Temple of Sinnoh, he gets thrown into an alternate timeline/dimension/world that's the direct result of him winning and becoming mad with power (making himself a self-proclaimed emperor now that Arceus is no longer standing in his way because Arceus is uh... well, gone :D). and seeing how bad things can get, how bad he can become, well... it essentially makes him rethink his choices from before.

(so he ends up joining the Resistance, fighting together with them, facing his alternate self who's gone mad with power aaaand... there's a lot that happens :'D) also there's the whole development between him and Emmet (big focus of the story) because Emmet definitely does not trust Volo at first at all - why would he, though? he looks just like the emperor! oh and Ultra Beasts + Solgaleo/Lunala will play a role too (obviously, since Emmet has Blacephalon, and without getting too spoiler-y yet I will say that Blacephalon is not originally Emmet's, but he has it by the time we (and Volo) meet him in the story). Togekiss is also important... oh and the survival skills that Volo has from Hisui will be immensely valuable for the Resistance! since he knows what berries/plants/etc can make whatever medicines and remedies, he knows how to craft Pokeballs from scratch which is great for them since their supplies are so scarce, etc... Emmet himself is very hands on in his workshop when not in battle, and he also helps repair/maintain some of the broken down trains in Lower Unova that help with transporting resources/people/etc Skyla does the same with air transport Cynthia will be in the story too :D I think that includes a bit more than I mentioned in my post a while back? thank you so much for your interest btw! I'm hoping I can post more about it soon (even if it's just character ref sheets XD)

Yes, there does seem to be something going on with all three of them, doesn't it? Atm, everyone's just kids, so romance won't really pop up (unless like, for a gag or whatever). Maybe as they hit their teens, there might be crazy love triangle drama going on. Its ok if it does, they are superheroes, dumb drama is the name of the game in DC comics lol. Lemme see if I can get my thoughts in order for this..

Your 100% correct that Eddie has an enormous crush on Rose, just like in canon. Also like canon, it was pretty much a love at first sight kinda thing. As for why, well there's the fact that he thinks Rose is very pretty and cute. But also he loves how skilled she is as a fighter and how dedicated she is to her craft. She can do anything according to him! Even as they grow older, that infatuation never really goes away. If anything, it grows stronger.

It's also extremely obvious to just about everyone on the team (and off!), only question is if Rose knows and just ignores it. Or if she's genuinely oblivious, she's pretty focused on protecting her mom and training her martial art skills.

As for Rose, she's not interested in romance at the moment (she is a kid after all), that might change as she gets older and gains more control over her life. And while she may or may not be aware of Eddie's crush on her, she might have a minor thing for Jason. It's not nearly as overt at Eddie's thing, so only some of the more perceptive team members might know. It's kinda of embarrassing for her to be all 'girly' like that.

As for why Jason, well not only is it a reference to canon JayRose, there's also the fact that in this au Jason was willing to help her out when he didn't even know who she was. He's a dedicated fighter like her, smart, and she thinks he's cute (at least once he reveals his secret id).

This crush is something that develops very slowly over the years, it kinda catches her off guard almost. I don't know if she ever tries to ask him out or anything, once Jason hits his fifteenth birthday, she might just miss her chance perhaps...

As for Jason, well that's just a mystery! But seriously, whatever his own opinions on all this, he seems to be keeping his cards close to his chest. Does he gain a crush on Rose too? Is it Eddie he has a crush on? Is he jealous of how easily Rose steal's Eddie's attention? Or does he see Eddie as competition for Rose? Every member of the Outlaws has a different idea on what's happening on Jason's end, and none of those idea's overlap lol. Just like in the fandom, every member of the team seems to read Jason differently (and for some, just straight up don't understand him).

It seems for now, Jason would rather not think about stuff like that and just concentrate on having fun with friends! He's just a kid you know!

Love your art and I'm generally curious as to what the appeal of Dante/Vergil is to you? Do you have any hc that you're drawing from or is it just personal preference? I struggle to imagine the right conditions for them to be involved in that way and would like to know what inspires you.

I will premise this by saying, that I’m actually not a MASSIVE fan of just DV for its own sake, if Nero isn’t also included (or like, with the assumption he will, 100%, be included once he’s in the picture). To me it’s kind of a baseline pairing?

As in, I don’t even have to think about it. Of course they’re in love, of course they’re together, of course they’re fucking. It’s almost an afterthought to me, the way the married parent couple of the protagonist in a story inherently are. It doesn’t necessarily interest me by itself, that fact, it’s just a certainty, it just is. I guess, for me, the interest in DV specifically comes more out of what other people make of it, because for me I’m almost always approaching first from the perspective of Nero being there also, haha.

There’s also the fact that I have a lot of hc about just like, the way demons function as a species, I guess. I took a lot of things dmc canon gave me and went like, “alright, time to project this into the most self indulgent, non-human society but humanoid looking species I can think up in my brainhead”. To me a lot of the appeal comes from it being not necessarily a predestined thing as much as like, a biological inevitability - (going to speak in definitives about my own hc from here on, so not making any statement about canon dmc lol) demons mate with their kin, and with whoever deems worthy - and twins from the same litter would inevitably end up being the other’s first partner, their first choice, their other half. In a sense, to me, they’re soulmates - though honestly I prefer to think of it more as two halves of the same soul, following the implications in 3 and the 3 manga that them being twins comes from the spawn of Sparda being too powerful to just be born in one body. That might sound like I’m just saying they’re soulmates in a different way, but not really - to me, if I had to go the soulmate route, Nero would be both of their soulmate - because the two of them make one single soul, and the match to that would be Nero’s.

I kind of just go off of the assumption that they are in love and have been since they were in the womb, you know?

That colors the way I see their every interaction. To me, in their fighting, their squabbles and their feuds, there’s always love at the source. Familial, yes, but romantic and sexual as well - and to me, when I think about them, it’s all one and the same. To love each other like family is to be intwined, is to be mated, is to be a pack and is to be one.

That’s the more deep thoughts I have about it, I have more shallow/surface thoughts (and specifically ship dynamic thoughts about like, what appeals to me about them sexually lol) but if I had to quickly sum it up that’s what I would say, I think.

It’s not what they want out of life. #It’s not what they naturally gravitate towards nor what they would choose if it were up to them. #But its nature and its playing cruel tricks on them #and ig in a way to me that’s a feeling I like to project as a trans allegory #I don’t often veer to making characters trans in a realistic human way bc it hits a bit too close to home #And rather I prefer adding a lot of things that are exactly like being trans but not in a human way #And I think that’s that to me yknow? #Nature + instinct imposing something on you that you have to actively struggle against for the rest of your life #And compensating and making yourself be perceived as who you feel yourself to be despite of it #Yes this is still all about weird demon pseudo omegaverse bullshit no I cannot physically hold myself back from getting into it #asks #vague mpreg allegory/mention #thank you for the question! lots of food for thought lol #spardacest

Oh, that's a good suggestion! The Joja route would definately have to play into how everybody in the valley is kind of awful (I do love how much things suck in stardew). I had the farmer's distaste for Pierre in mind as a reason to shop at Joja instead but was stuck on the community center side of things... Lewis being an awful mayor is an interesting angle. We haven't thought about their personal relations with Mayor Lewis too much since submas toss the mayoral side of things to Drayden (and even then... Lewis doesn't want to do much. Which is fine for them since they don't want to get stuck in meetings together. They try to stay out of each other's way...) Lewis doesn't help out at all with the bus so he wouldn't do anything for the railroad.

As for the station, it's basically a second community center that Morris plans to take over. While the twins have their qualms about the other townspeople, Morris directly antagonized them from the beginning so their hatred for him takes precedence (even if he is probably the best at what he does in my opinion). A Joja route would take some reworking if the player were to side with Morris and we would have to consider the possibility of them taking the station from the twins too (red flag!).

Thinking about it... It's somewhat fair since the twins aren't exactly the best either... They have dependency issues and are dying from overwork because of the station. ;;>.> Taking the station from them might be for their own good (they did mention giving up in the intro events...). I don't think actually having the option to work with Morris and take the station for Joja would make much sense though since realistically, they would just head back to Nimbasa. Not sure how a friendship with them can happen like that but well... we'll figure it out eventually! Thank you for the suggestion!

(1. palworld will not outsell pkmn and its silly to think that 2. i want more competition for monster-collecting games becos the monopoly pkmn has has given us some unfinished, buggy messes)

its less abt pkmn designs being "ripped off" and more abt how unoriginal and slapped together the pals are. like it's honestly kinda a shame that the monsters in this new monster-collecting game don't really have their own identity. like when I look i them I dont think about palworld, I dont think of them as pals, I think of pokemon. Thats uh. not great imo?

its extra sucks becos I see the pals that are original and theyre good!! I usually really like those designs!! There was something there but the game relies too much on the familiarity of pokemon's designs and i just feel indifferent at best and kinda 😕gyeh at worst

im also comparing it to cassette beasts, another (very good) monster collecting game that appeals to me as a pokemon fan, but absolutely stands on its own and exists completely separate from pokemon because of its unique designs and unique takes on some pokemon formula things.

Like sorry to compare but: the beasts in cassette beasts are clearly identifiable and there's a design philosophy going on there. And although I can easily pick out a pal from a pokemon, I'm not thinking of the pal, im thinking of the pokemon parts its made from. honestly its just not great design imo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So basically my FFXV s/i was born in the Kingdom of Lucius! They met Prompto and Noct in high school and the three became inseparable ever since <3 At some point in High School, Noct and Prompto are chatting in private and reveal their crush and have a Spiderman Pointing Meme moment when they realize that they both like Panchi-gjdbgjdf The two just gush together! It's pretty cute! Panchi doesn't develop feelings for the two of them till the actual road trip starts! Speaking of the road trip, Panchi's weapon is an Axe and you cna often see them journaling during the adventure!

If you're wondering how Panchi gets along with Gladio and Ignis...They get along well actually! Panchi really respects Ignis so they always call him by his name instead of a nickname like Iggy and help him out with cooking from time to time and help him encourage Noctis to eat his veggies. Panchi is a little intimidated by Gladio when they first meet him but they warm up eventually! I like to think that Panchi immediately goes to Gladio for advice once they've caught feelings for Prompto and Noctis-afkdnfks Gladio had probably teased the three of them about being so close on multiple occasions

Also I have like multiple versions of the plot in my head bc of the ending but in the Au where Noctis is Alive and Well, the three of them are happily dating each other! Noct gets two boyfriends to nap with, Prompto gets two boyfriends who reassure him that he's loved and take photos with him (even if Panchi is extremely camera shy), and Panchi gets two boyfriends to play videogames with! All three of them know each other well because of all the years they've known each other and it shows, the three have multiple inside jokes and are so comfortable around each other! If Noct is the Moon and Prompto is the Sun then Panchi is the Stars!

how much I like their personality

I really like the "masked character who's a bit of a dramatic" Archetype a lot, and Maxwell really fits that imo just with how he speaks and with the vibe a lot of his battle quotes give off. Add that with his dad like kindness and he's just a very nice character to watch and use.

how much I like their design/aesthetics

Most slay man in Norzelia. Like the hat, the mask, the cape, the braid, it's just mmmmmmmm. Sorry princeling, I love you, but your mentor's got the vibes.

Not to mention the vibes added to his design when you consider his Dawnspear title. Like yeah man I 100% believe he earned that name because holy cow 😳

how interesting I think they are

Even if he doesn't get as much screen time and mainstory focus as he deserves, I still think he's really interesting from his part in his character stories as well as his involvement up until chapter 7.

Especially his second character story. Like my good sir why do you know so much about these inner corrupt dealings of the royal family. Like I have a feeling you probably shouldn't have privy to that sort of information and also how much more do you know?

Also like, his convo with Idore during the Golden Route, like, sir!? Like I get maybe Idore's twisting somethings but I've questions nonetheless

how well-written I think they are

Overall I think he's is, with really only one minor complaint that he should have been a main story recruit instead of a conviction one. Please let Maxwell and Roland talk to each other, I think the latter really needs that

(if applicable) how much I like their mechanics in-game

I like how maneuverable he is, it makes him really good for getting into position for follow-up attacks or to trigger follow-up attacks. And High Jump, albiet expensive, feels so cool to use on groups of enemies.
