Reblogging this because I decided to update my kofi on what i've been working on. More wips and a peek at pg1 of my au comic.

I do wanna make it clear that its still in its early stages and will possibly change as I work on this chapter. I've been working on the outline/timeline of chapter 1 for a while now and was primarily struggling with the introduction (to Ballad specifically). So the peek of the first page I shared on Kofi will likely be updated and fixed as I progress, up until I think its ready to go out.

Basically I wanna finish either: - A) Chapter One - or B) Part One and Two of Chapter One before it's officially ready to go up.

Ended up being a little more than i originally intended but,, a look at Tefke (and Tekoha).

Tefke is the most interested in the military side of the kingdom, which currently isn't doing too well (causing them to rely on their allies a little more than usual -- a conflict that'll appear in the future). He's gotten very used to the weight of his armor, designed by his father, and has grown to resent wearing the silks his parents require when their allies visit.

Below the cut is an extra doodle with Tefke and his sister.

I think telling on her is probs revenge for always calling him short at this point.

The ref may be my half-chibi style but its pretty accurate to how tiny he is xD He's a little gremlin and his sister is the responsible one.

#Tekoha (Kheprriverse) #rambling mood today #i decided on a whim to work on Tefke’s ref last night as an indulgent thing since ive been working on comic pages all week #and i havent given him or safiya any attention sicne i first designed them #theyre twins but theres no ‘whos gonna take over the throne when the time comes’ #because twili just live an incredibly long time. so theyre both kinda doing their own thing #but the answer would be Safiya #Safiya is a researcher focusing on the relationship between tech and magic #Tefke went military mode and trains army recruits--much like his dad he doesnt have very good magic attunement and makes up for it in comba #tefke is also resident little guy #Tefke is gonna be the one with a little bit more spotlight tho coz of the current conflict but i promise Safiya will appear as well #i'll share their wips soon when theyre both done. but if yall wanna see Tefke early just lmk ig

Luckily for y'all, I have decided to draw this because I ended up liking her wip design a lot more than I initially realized.

He was out of commission for a couple days after a particularly brutal fight with Majora (and probably one of the more disastrous ones). But he recovered much faster than Soelra expected, considering his fall -- from the sky... as a dragon -- destroyed most of her medicinal herbs.

She's relieved (still worried) and he has zero thoughts in his brain. Which could be attributed to being nearly killed but he did also just woke up to a pretty lady so who knows what it could really be 🤷

I'll work on her hair a little more when I get back to this ref. Actually I'll work on everything but I like how her hair turned out, it just needs some refining. I was working on this during a funk.

#also yay she has a name now! She had the name Soelra since I started this ref, but its switched a lot during the making of her duet with Ko'jin. I think one of the iterations of her name was Sora but I didn't wanna catch the attention of other fandoms x'D

I originally wanted to keep it short to vaguely mirror "Moni" which, following the trend, is Termina's word for "moon".

#a lot of patterns with the heroes can be traced back to kojin tbh #(especially if you look at Ballad) #<- they're not related (kojin and ballad) they just have a LOT of parallels. #Soelra's termina name is still subject to change. its possible between now and when shes done that i’ll figure out smth better #I was gonna share the wip I have but it's more likely her design will change as i revisit the ref. I have some more ideas I wanna work with #(but ig if anyone wants the current wip I wouldn't mind sharing it) #Im very chatty today apparently
