If yes could you maybe tell us, how would the ros and andrei react to/feel about (platonic) mc who reffers to the resident/roomate ros as their siblings when talking to someone else?(this is after they got close with them ofc) Like for the example they said things like "you should see my siblings" "sorry about the whole thing with my sister earlier" "that's my brother for you" etc when talking to people outside of the house

Andrei would absolutely start to bawl and get on his knees so dramatically. “OHHMYGAWDDD they see us as a family!!"

Perry would be happy about it, too. They just want MC to see the positive side about being in the Dufner house. It’ll probably make them a bit teary but they’d hide that lol

F would also be happy and definitely make it a big deal. “Aw, I know you’d fall for my charms eventually!” And start calling MC sis/bro/sibling any chance they get lol

K: “We live together and I see you more than my real family, siblings is the most accurate word for it, isn’t it?” And they’d start treating you as such. They’ll try to be indifferent about it but it’ll make them feel warm inside that MC looks at them so highly like that.

Alex would go along with it without much reaction, but they’d like it. I can’t say anything too much about Alex because it’s spoilery but they’d be like “yup, that’s me lol”

Dani would be shocked at first, but slowly warm up to it. They’d come up to MC and say, “since we are…siblings now, I will protect you if you need.” Very seriously and MC would be like ??? Alright lol

N would like it but they wouldn’t admit it lol since N is so resistant, they’d hate that they like the thought of being siblings and close with MC. “You…can call me that as much as you want,” and they’d be blushing profusely haha!

Hey! I wanted to ask this anonymously first before I embarrassed myself but I just started my first young justice blog and I really need some help coming up with fic ideas, with writing, with a lot of stuff I'm a complete mess, an I was wondering if it's not much trouble, could I get some help?

Hey :)) omg that’s so exciting! looking forward to checking out ur blog :D just saying in advance to hopefully squash any worries and to scale expectations, i’m not the best person with communication and can take a while to respond to messages (also sorry bout the slight delay with answering this one, i do hope u see it i can’t remember if anon questions notifies the sender 😭). I cant guarantee being the most helpful person either but i’d be happy to try to help where/if i can :)

in terms of general advice for fics/writing which i think tbh is the best one (that i use to try to motivate myself to write for fics) is to just start writing! like literally anything, as soon as u feel like even a second of inspiration or motivation just go with the flow. Whether it’s one sentence, a paragraph or 1000 words lol, just putting words on a page is a great start already. It doesn’t need to be perfect at all, my first fic (unposted) ended up being long with multiple chapters and all the writing throughout was so questionable lol but i was and still am so proud of it! It gave me experience and the learning curve was inspiring that i was excited to try to write even more stuff after. I noticed with each chapter i slowly found a rhythm and improved step by step. Even if it’s just tiny things that u learn, it makes all the difference. You 100% learn as u go, even now whenever i post something i’m like damn i could make a million changes or be annoyed/critical at something but ultimately i’m just happy to have posted something to share with others and contribute a little something to a community of people who share the same interests as me :) and that’s rlly all that matters and as u start doing that u can develop more ideas and “what ifs” to explore i.e more fic ideas etc

in terms of structure for working on fics id say it rlly depends on the individual. for me i usually write a rough outline/summary of what the fic is basically about. I usually try to have key details summarised where they all connect until the end of the fic, so that after that’s done, u can then flesh out the individual chapters or paragraphs out better. But things like plot can also really change whilst ur writing! It all boils down to what inspires u to write.

It’s not bad to have no ideas, i think it’s actually super cool for people to start out with a really simple/basic prompt (maybe something like: oh flash family go to a restaurant or zetaflash go to an arcade or outsiders play board games (lol)) something like that and then u can expand on the story with dialog/events/characterisation/description that really fills it up and makes up the chunkier part of the fic where it almost at times feels like it writes itself.

also fics really doesn’t need to be long at all if that’s something u might find intimidating, my stuff tends to be quite wordy because that’s just how i write (as u can see from most of my ask answers where i just go on and on like can i shut up for once? lmfao) if anything, i admire people who can get points/description/stories across through concise writing or short stories! that’s a real impressive skill too

if u want to start writing fics to post, 100% start writing anything, literally anything and eventually u will manage to figure out ur own workflow/style that suits u best :) i’m 100% still learning too, i mean i have yet to finish a multi chapter fic, but by reminding myself that any writing is a good step somewhere, despite the slow progress, i can still be motivated to keep working on it. i hope these general tips managed to help u somewhat 🙏 again rlly looking forward to checking out ur blog <3

i read the discussion that emerged in the comments to the chapter where alex suggests that he's a sex worker and well, yeah, it's summarises my thoughts on the matter pretty well :)) i could imagine that he would say something along the lines of that but hesitated because of his age.

i originally reread the fanfic bc i happen to be in the caribbeans rn and i had to google the possible dangers of the city that i'm visiting prior to coming. obviously, one of the points that that came up was prostitution. according to the article that i found, around 25% of all prostitutes here are underage, and i imagine this to be the case for most of the islands in this region. while it's sad, this is probably why the staff of the hotel wouldn't mind smth like that happening.

(i'd like to stick to the guess that the guard frowned because alex looked so young and not because he was a man tho. just makes me feel better about the whole ordeal ig :( )

but either way, skipping all the sad things about all this; i'm so impressed by how well spoken you are! not that i'm surprised, it's just genuinely inspiring. i used to write fanfics in english a bit more than a year ago but eventually i gave up and started writing in ukrainian again (my 1st language). i wish i had the willpower to train myself to be better at it. do you have any advice on how to improve one's english vocabulary, apart from the obvious ones like reading more etc etc? i'd really like to hear what you have to say on the matter :)

oh and also; i visited your account around a year ago when i read some of your works on ao3 and i think there was a post where you said that you were polish. do you have any favourite facts about some polish historical figures? or any favourite polish historical figures at all? or any interesting events that took place and should be studied more? i know the general outlines of poland throughout centuries but i don't know any specific details and would be lovely if i could hear some of the from u, but once again, no pressure!!

Thank you! I am Polish, but I have lived in an English-speaking country for most of my life so... That’s where the fluency comes from, I guess! 

Language usage has two modes (passive - e.g. reading and understanding, and active - e.g. speaking and writing). Reading really, really is the best way to improve your passive vocabulary (and fanfic counts as reading here!! Fan writers tend to use more idioms, casual language etc. which is a fantastic tool for learning). And writing is the best one for making that vocabulary active. Your English is basically flawless (honestly would not have guessed it’s your second language) so maybe go a bit easier on yourself, try writing in English again (and make it as fun, self-indulgent, silly as possible), and then either don’t post it or post as anon!

As for Polish historical figures, I am a big fan of Tadeusz Kościuszko - in part because he’s a big figure in my home town of Kraków, and in part because he was a brilliant engineer, a badass horse-boy, a good friend of John Laurens, and an abolitionist who actually put his money where his mouth was. Might be an obvious choice, but he’s renowned for good reason. (Bonus point - the absolutely hilarious way English speakers butcher his name, for which I don’t blame them one bit.)

A/N: Hey, guyths!!! Long time no see, right? I’m so sorry for not being able to update anything. I got really busy with work and I always ended up watching TV series during my free time. But, here it is! Another request fulfilled and updated! Finally, I’ve actually done something! So, as you can all read, this is a drabble prompt about MTMTE Megsy and I really hope that the dear anon (whoever you are, if you’re still out there) will be able to like this. I’m proud to say that the poem y’all going to encounter was inspired by William Shakespeare’s Sonnet 29. Anyone familiar about this will probably recognize that I borrowed one of the playwright’s lines in there. Budget meeting… How boring… You yawned practically for the fourth time now, trying to focus your attention on the different graphs displayed on the screen. The words were Cybetronian, but thanks to Brainstorm, you were given hi-tech glasses where the foreign words were automatically translated to your native language.

Ultra Magnus was still blabbering. You already wanted to end this, but knowing him, he can get pretty long. You already saw Rodimus playing with his datapad since you can see his tongue (whatever the Cybertronian equivalent term for that is) sticking out to which your TIC was completely ignoring. You turned your attention to your SIC, Megatron, who was diligently listening to the report. Well, good for him because as the selected liaison of Earth, you were tasked to keep an eye on him (and the rest of the Lost Light crew as well). You were like keeping the diplomatic relations between the ex-warlord and the crew (and also making sure that he’s not going to plan on invading Earth again). So far, it seemed everything’s fine.

You puffed out a breath and kept on wishing that this meeting would be over soon.

Megatron kept shifting his attention between Ultra Magnus’s report and to you. Actually, he mostly focuses on you when you were not looking at him. It had been six months since you came on board of the Lost Light. To admit that it was love at first sight that pulled his attentiveness towards you was an understatement; too cliché even. But, that was the truth. His brain module was like malfunctioning crazily just the thought of you.

If you think he was taking notes of Ultra Magnus’s report in his datapad, believe it or not, he was actually composing a poem; a love poem, to be exact. He had been arranging this for a while now and edited and repeated it many times. At first, he wanted to constitute the idea of your beauty. However, it turned foreboding that he had to entirely make another one. He tried again and it was still perturbing. He can’t seem to shake the fact that he was and will always be the mass murderer who everyone would associate with.

That’s why he always had this feeling that he didn’t deserve to be loved; that he didn’t deserve to have your love especially because he tried to kill your planet.

‘No, no! Don’t ever put that!’ Megatron mused. He was once again back to square one. His previous poem was a disaster. It was like he was pining over you on it and it frustrated him. He didn’t want to long over you because he knew couldn’t have you. It was impossible, after all.

After the meeting, he went back to his habsuite quickly. He had to find more inspiration on how he could express his adoration without looking like he actually wanted you in his life (though he really wanted that). He grumbled. He didn’t even know why he had to stress over this when he can always tend to other things.

‘You know what, forget about this. It won’t matter-‘ His thoughts were interrupted when his habsuite doorbells rang. He knew immediately who it was since that doorbell was designed only for you so that they could open their large doors for you.

He ex-vented anxiously and tried to remain calm.

‘Everything’s going to be fine, Megatron,’ he told himself and pushed a button to open his door.

You waved at him with a smile. After the meeting, you thought he went to the bar. You searched for him, but didn’t catch sight of him. You were delayed a bit when Tailgate scooped you up in an embrace and cooed you to hang out with him and Cyclonus. You told him that you needed to check on Megatron, which you were returned with an, “Awww! But, (Y/n)…!” It was a good thing that Cyclonus saved you and dragged Tailgate away from you. You sighed in relief at that time.

“I didn’t see you at the bar so I came in here,” you said. “Just wanted to check up on you. Are you okay? I feel like you’re being a little distant or something.”

That surprised him. “No, no! Not at all! I was just…” He was looking for an excuse. “I… needed to summarize Ultra Magnus’s report. It was rather long and Rodimus needs a more simplistic explanation of it.” Finally, he found one.

Just gazing at your innocent expression, his brain module was being frantic again. How he come to love any expressions you give to him was out of context and yet, he came to adore those.

He waited for your answer.

You nodded your head slowly. “I see. So, I guess you’re busy then. But, do drop by at Swerve’s once you’re done. It’s not like everybody hates you now. They already know you’ve completely changed. And if some of them don’t, I’ll have to remind them.”

Megatron smiled sheepishly. “That’s very nice of you, (Y/n). Yes, I am aware that everyone, if not all, doesn’t hate me that much anymore. I’m just… busy at the moment.” He loathed to lie like this, but for some reasons, he had to.

He saw you beamed. “Okay. I’ll see you then.” He longingly watched you walk away from him. Unconsciously, his lip plate was reaching upwards even more.

‘I think I just found my inspiration.’

You read the poem over and over. It actually surprised you that he would do you a sonnet and that just warmed your heart. He didn’t say outright that “I love you”, but you got the idea that he couldn’t say it because he was afraid to say it. He feared his past as a murderer of billions of lives and thought he didn’t earn to have such caring feelings to anyone except for redemption. You knew he had come a long way and he proved to have really changed for the better.

You can’t say for certain if you could return his feelings, but, what the hell. He needs this and you’ll give it to him.

You were in an another meeting, this time, accident reports. Ultra Magnus is taking the lead again (because he couldn’t persuade Rodimus to do the reporting, for the life of him). As the boring reporting went on, you sent a message to Megatron.

Answer: i’ve sometimes done lil art streams for friends before! i could use the same capture software to make speedpaints sometime.... i’ve been considering it for a while actually! 

my process can be a lil sloppy when i try to break it down into steps for tutorials so i think the best way to show + explain is through art streams (& video process)... 

i was thinking of starting art streams on twitch in the near future too... it’s just when i’ll finally be able to get setup finally that i’d be able to set a streaming schedule

What brushes do you use in fire alpaca??  i dont do much in firealpaca (esp not lately lol) but when i did use it a lot i just used the fill bucket and the standard/default brush to fill in gaps n such lol! i dont really draw in it, i used flash/adobe animate for the lineart and just fill in color in firealpaca :3

when did you start animating?   uhh when i was around 11 or 12 when i started digital art i guess? i just used photoshop for the longest time then got flash when i was like 15 or so

i really like your art style gosh darn!!! everythings so fluid and stylized and nice aaa (also ur animations are goals) do u have any tips for someone still developing their artstyle????  WAH TYSM!!!!! compile art you already like and incorporate aspects from their styles into yours, BUT dont limit urself to one style! if u like something then try it out! do straight up copies (as PRACTICE, DONT CLAIM IT as your own ofc) of stuff you like to see how they work and what you’re clicking with. spending time on fundamentals is MEGA helpful so keep going back to that too! USE REFERENCES!!! draw …from ur soul…what makes u ..FEEL good

 how do you make that burn effect on your lineart? it makes it your pieces look sharper and even more interesting, it’s super cool!!  when i used to use flash for lineart and firealpaca for coloring a lot, setting the lineart layer on BURN with the coloring layer seeping a lil past the lineart would get this effect automatically 

(like on the whiskers. u can see it gets a brighter brown(?) and the warmer yellow on the ears)

but since then i’ve been using sai+photoshop more so i just do it manually! i’ll use this funny pic of me and my cat as an example lol

and i mess with the pink line layer’s blending mode..color burn usually does the trick but depending on the Look you’re going for, saturation, multiply and overlay have some similar effects that look cool. 

i also usually get rid of the outermost edge of pink line that’s visible around the lineart, just so it looks a little cleaner? to do that you just select around your lineart, increment/expand selection, and delete/erase in the selection of the pink line layer

uhh yeah! lmk if anyone needs clarification on this, i have some other #TIPS on makin ur art look crusty and funky so…lemme know if you’re interested :—3

What do you use to animate? And, a more specific question, how do you make transparent animated gifs? adobe animate 2017! (previously flash) i export my animation from flash as a png sequence then open it in photoshop, where the background will be transparent and save it as a gif from there nyaaa

Like, when you draw shapes for a certain character, it looks rlly like it fits with the character’s personality n stuff!! ( e.g: Your Love Live! drawings!! The characters look so good in your style.) I’ve always admired how u did that n was hoping for some tips maybe?? Anyways, have a good day!!💛💖💟💜💝💞💖 HOOGA!! TYSM!!! and YEA you basically guessed it, i mainly just think about the character’s personality and translate that into a shape or Pheeling… 

especially for anime characters i look at the Very Subtle differences in the character’s original design..or possibly canon implications…for example kotori has slightly different eyes (it also says on her wiki page she has soft droopy eyes!) so i make sure to incorporate that Detãile

 anime wiki pages that have details like that is nice, for love live they have cute lil “charm points” which is really cool n helpful! listening to how a character is described in their world can give clues to what differentiates them which you can make more clear in your design

taking into account each characters context is good too, what they do/hobby/personality and how that could affect their appearance/posture/attitude

 YEAH its really fun to figure out certain characteristics and make it evident in their appearance! or. idk thats just what i do lol. hopefully this helps!

So I've finally decided it's time for me to change my lifestyle and i wanna exercice and i think at home workouts aren't that efficient for me so i wanna go to the gym ,but i feel like going to the gym only helps you buit muscle and makes u look somehow big,if that makes sense .And i'm afraid of gaining weight cause after seeing negative results on the scale i know i'll want to give up.So can u please explain how the gym thing works cause im not educated enough. thank u for inspiring me ly💕

That’s 1000% not true in the slightest! Weight you do want to gain, is from muscle! 

The gym allows for SO many forms of training such as cardio and strength training. If you find a balance between the two you’ll definitely see results. Cardio is things such as; the treadmill, the bike, the rowing machine. This link here will inform you of cardio and why you should do it.  Strength training is a variety of exercises that involve muscular contraction and in turn builds muscle, strength and anaerobic endurance. (Such as weight lifting, mat exercises the TRX).

Usually when you join a gym they give you a free consultation and run through everything with you and answer anything you’re uncertain about!

But people tend to think when you do weight lifting you get bulky. This is wrong in so many ways. Everyone is a different build and some people may build muscle quicker in their legs and their friend might build it quicker in their arms. Some people struggle to build muscle and others find it easy! It depends on your build. To be honest yes you could get bulky if you did focus on only strength training and didn’t have a good diet.

If you don’t want to get ‘bulky’ which i guarantee you won’t, then balance it out with a healthy diet (because this is what gets fat off mainly) and enhance this with your exercise at the gym (cardio and strength training). Gyms usually have classes, so you could go to them! Cardio: body combat, body attack, sprint, rpm and body step. Strength: Body pump and CX works!

HIIT training: High intensity Interval Training, like the layout of Kayla Itsines is SO good for you. It keeps you burning fat up to 24 hours after the workout. So this is where you have short periods of intense anaerobic exercise followed by a short break. You could do this on the treadmill by sprinting for 30 seconds, walking for 30 seconds. And doing that for 10 whole minutes. Or you can do it in the form of Kayla Itsines. If you go on Pinterest there are heaps of these already made for you!

Do not neglect strength training! It’s essential that you focus on building your muscles to increase your BMR: Basal Metabolic Rate. The amount of energy consumed by your body in your resting state. The more muscle you have, the more energy you burn!

SO basically find a balance. Do cardio exercises to get your heart rate up and strength training to build muscle and tone up etc. (both have similar and so many benefits).
