It’s set in the near future of Sonic’s world. I’ll probably update as I go. I have pages upon pages of lore and scripts.

Ideas for an older Espio for @shadowfreak98's future AU. 

Also realized when digging through his wiki for color ref that I somehow almost 1 to 1 matched his trading card pose.

I absolutely couldn’t help giving him earrings like Flick from AC. I joked to Shadowfreak about it since I adore Flick, then I couldn’t not give him the earrings. Decided to just make ‘em one sided so it wouldn’t be a pain making them symmetrical all the time

Is it any sort of visible that I made his spines longer? The way I drew his body shape they look kinda the same ahshdff. If I do another age up -- cause we haven’t decided which age bracket this design will go to -- he’ll be getting more spikes cause Cool

And of course fingerless gloves. I think they’re cool and will put them on every character if nobody stops me. 

I intended him to have a kinda Adventure or Riders Knuckles body, with the puffed out chest but the angle made it like. Non-readable. So maybe I’ll make  a fullbody one day so you can actually see everything put together

Ranulf the Armadillo and Deyne the Mouse

These two are a couple important characters for the Future story arc.

Ranulf [left] is their powerhouse/heavy-hitter. He is more of the brawn of the group and will not hesitate to punch robots. Most misconstrue him as a hothead, or even a meathead. He can be a little spacey at times, and perhaps impulsive, but unlike his ancestor, he is incredibly collected and calm. He is a big brother to that of Deyne and Cryptum. They are the only family he has, and he would do anything to protect them.

Deyne [right] is not so chill. She can get pretty fired up at times if her buttons are pushed enough. Her role is the Freedom Fighters’ tactician. She is the one who organizes plans, and strategies. She intelligent beyond her years, and she knows it... which can lead to some butting of heads with other Freedom Fighters... she can be quite arrogant at times but she is always pulled back to Mobius by her beloved best friend and big sis Cryptum.

The first set of head refs for some background characters, for @shadowfreak98‘s future AU

This is Beo the Brandt’s Hedgehog (Top) and Leare the Long-Eared Hedgehog (Bottom) [yes I am in fact hilarious]

They’re fraternal twins, Beo being older and Leare being the younger. Since I haven’t designed hedgehogs I thought it’d be funny to base some off these dryer buddies we have. Because they’ve been used so much their quills are starting to turn black, hence these guy’s color schemes

I only have rough details jotted down on their bios, hopefully I’ll have a little more to tell next time I post them

Stopped myself from thinking about their markings for an hour and just went with it (after spending so long figuring out Leare’s quills), so I’m unsure if they even feel like designs I’d usually make. I still like them regardless hehe

We have plans for a lot more background characters, so hopefully will start seeing those over next few months
